All the rooms have balconies and most rooms are sea view an inland view any way. There are some which are just inland views and these are over the Olive Groves. You will have a wonderful time there, we have been going for 7 years now !!!!! Lots of boat trips some big with other people and others where you can go on your own. I'll try and get a contact for you.
Hi all at the Zante Star,
try this email htlstar@otenet.gr
As far as i know Yannis email hasn't changed. We have been going to the Zante Star for 7 years now and I know you will have a lovely time. All rooms are for 4 people whether facing the pool inland. Some inland rooms are noisy with the cockrels but by the pool you get pool noise and whereever you go in Zakynthos you'll hear the cockrels and chickens !!!
can anybody tell me if yanni has changed is email as i have been trying to get in touch and the email cant be sent as we are going in aug 6th for 2 weeks and i have been told to email him to ask for a pool view room there are 2 adults 2 kids does any one know if the pool view room are for 4 people as we have been told in land views are noise with the cockerals apart from that we have herd good reports and are looking forward to our holiday your hopefuly sharon
Hi Julia yes there are plenty of coat hangers in the wardrobe. You will certainly have relaxation and sunshine. We fly to Zante star 14th September so we will see you. You will have a great hols, Zante Star is so lovely it will be our 6th time., there is no where else where we want to go. We have met some lovely people there and Yanni is a wonderful man and all his staff are great. This time next week will be on the plane. Cannot wait. Will be so pleased to see all our friends from last year.
First ever summer holiday abroad, and we could not have picked a better place!. What can we say everything was fantastic, the accommodation sparkling clean, lovely food and the most friendly and helpful staff. Would defo recommend the Zante star to anyone, can see why lots of people go back again and again. Hi to all the friends that we met, especially Kerry and Pete.
A Gym in Zante? Are you mad woman?!!!!! Just kiddin, I'm not sure if there is a Gym in Tsilivi but aren't you supposed to be going on hols to relax?!! When you get there, ask Yannis where the nearest one is, there may be one in town somewhere? Have a nice time!!!
Thank god HE won't be going back to the Zante Star !!!
consider me really told off big deal
Way to go Sarah!! You tell 'em!! The surname is gRayer by the way!!!! xXx
in reply to sarah gayer you say that yannis and his staff attempt to make your holiday a good one well im sorry that was not the case with me and my family yes i agree i dont go on holiday to spend all my time in my appartment but by the same token i like a bit of room and not be falling over one another as for the prices we came back to tsilivi whils we were away and the prices were still very reasonable as they were in argassi so i stand by what i say about the hotel being expensive everyone is different one mans meat and all that and we just didnt enjoy our stay at the zante star
In reply to the comment below it is hard to keep everyone happy but at the Hotel Zante Star Yannis and his staff do their up most best to make everyone's holiday a good one. Yes the rooms are not massive but they are advertised as "One bedroom apartments (2/4 persons) (3rd/4th bed will be a sofa bed)" so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that they are going to be huge. The rooms are bright clean and big enough, after all who goes on holiday to spend all their time in the apartment?
"Us people" who give it top marks have been to other places but we return to Zante Star year after year because it is the best hotel in Zante, In our opinions. I went to Mexico a few years back and stayed in a 5* resort and I personally prefer the Zante star, so please don't think frequent customers of the Zante star do not travel to other destinations.
The hotel is a short 10 minute walk from the bars and restaurants, hardly "miles". And as for it being overpriced unfortunately it is no longer that cheap to eat and drink abroad full stop, you can thank the euro for that and a thing called Inflation.
There is always children at the Zante star who have a great time, there is plenty for them to do and many people return year after year after year.
As I said you can't keep everybody happy, the hotel Zante star is a great 3* accommodation, don't let one hard to please customers opinions put you off.
went to zante star appts this year and all i can say is you people who give it top marks cant have been any where else for your holidays whilst it was very clean the room they gave us was a joke it wasnt big enough to swing a cat never mind sleep three people for two weeks and when we complained the attitude was tough live with it so we told our helpful hosts to shove there so called three star plus appts and we moved to argassi where we had a great holiday this place is miles from anywhere which is no good if you have kids in tow especially in the heat of zante at the moment so you are left with a choice of walking miles or paying top dollar in the hotel all in all over rated over priced out of the way place give it four stars for cleanliness
hi to everyone who has been to zante star apartments, our 3rd time tsilivi can,t wait. looking forward to staying at zante star after reading all the reviews we go on the 20 th july for two weeks, has anyone got any info on how much the air con is a week and what are the rooms like when they say inland view.
Well, here we are, once again back in the UK. Arrived home last night after yet another fantastic holiday at the Zante Star. Thanks as always to Yannis, Irene, Irena, Evgenia and to the 2 new ladies Anna and Sandy on Reception - you're a lovely bunch of people and make everyones stay at the Star so enjoyable. Had loadsa laughs, ate and drank in abundance, enjoyed meeting everyone (Heather & Sarah - you lucky ladies going back in September!!). Great to see Anthony & Co (a very brief encounter indeed!!) and at least we managed a few hours with Denise & Helen (we never did get Yannis in the pool girls, he promised he would next year though)! Booked to return June 2009 and looking forward to it already - although I haven't even unpacked yet! Take care everyone, see in 2009! xXx
Its great to hear how many people love the Zante Star, can someone tell me what year it opened as my parents and I went but can not be sure of the year?
P.S. There's a Water Park about a 20min ride away in a taxi which is also quite good and worth a visit one day. Just ask reception to order you a taxi if you fancy going and there's plenty of taxi's hanging around the water park so it will be easy to get back once you've had enough of the water rides!!
Hi Paul Shepherd,
Six weeks today, we are now on the countdown to our holiday at the Zante Star. Thanks to all the fab comments on here I dont think ive ever looked forward to a holiday more!
Hi been stayin in Argassi for years with my daughter cos there are always lots of kids for her to play with and loads of kids activities, but really fancy a change at the Zante star especially with all the fantastic reviews. Lookin at the 13th July for 2 weeks . Can anyone tell me whether this is also good for families and older kids with the odd single parent thrown in?
Hi Yanni and everyone at Zante Star.
Sarah and I are coming to you for a week on the 22nd of June. Sorry Mike won't be with us, he has to work
You've done the right thing Nikki Bayes!! You will not be disappointed and booking early is wise! There will be a lot of disappointed people who aren't going to be able to get in next year. Hope you have a lovely time - we'll be there in June AGAIN!!!
We have just got back from the Zante Star, the apatments are beautiful, lovely and clean. The food at the bar is absolutley wonderful, we tried a variety of dishes. I would recomend this accomodation to anyone. We will be going back Thank you to all the staff - Yanni looked after everyone and he makes a big effort to assure everyone has a most enjoyable holiday

Hi Dimtra
Hi Dimitra,
Great to read you comments on this website! As you know, we had a fabulous holiday again this year and have booked to return in 2007! It obviously is a great place to work as well as to holiday, I personally have never been anywhere as brilliant as the Zante Star! I would like to wish you a very merry christmas and best wishes for the New Year! Hope you are enjoying yourself in Kos and who knows, we may see you again next year!!
Love from Lesley & Paul x x x
Hello my dear guests of Zante star!!
Went to zante star end of July with my girlfriend I'm 19 she's 18, was excellent Yannis and the team were excellent clean and freindly hotel town not too far good horse and kart ride for ten euros anywhere. Great food. Nightlife in town but the hotel uis far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Overall excellent holiday. Both enjoyed 10/10. Wayne "Bruce Wayne"
just to say we had a fab time with yanni & irene, we plan to stay there again next year same time same place but this time taking the whole family!!
i came here last year with my best friend, and am trying to pin down my boyfriend to return with him summer 2007. the zante star was great, everything about it was fantastic! although the hotel was quiet, we had great fun as two 18 year olds, couldnt have asked for more. and as for mikki, most of the time he was friendly, but like any dog, if you're going to hassle him constantly then of course he will end up snapping. leave him be, if he wants to play he will. if he doesnt leave him alone! common sense really!
Im with you on that one, Margaret! We were also here in June this year and have also booked to go back next June! Hope Yannis doesn't get bored with the same people going back all the time! LOL !!!
TO ALL THE PEOPLE RECOMMENDING THESE APARTMENTS TO FRIEND & FAMILY ................
I think they have been open about 3 years but they are immaculaltely maintained.
Hi Guys,
I am wondering if someone would reccomend the Zante Star apartments for me, my husband and our 7 yrs old? I have read mixed reports on here and other forums. I am looking to book next July through Olympic Holidays, however they say the apartments are brand new so am I looking at the right ones? We've just returned from our week at the Zante Star and we were more than impressed. We read the reviews here and we weren't disappointed. The apartments and all public areas were spotlessly clean, the staff were exceptionally friendly and we didn't have any problems with Mikki. I read Josephine Wessons review and frankly thought her comments a bit petty, why was she trying to remove Mikki from the corridor outside her apartment, that's his territory not hers, no wonder he was a bit miffed and her comments about the staff being functual (what a way to descibe people!) I think shows more about her attitude than theirs, perhaps if she were friendlier they would have been. We couldn't fault them, they always asked after us, if we had had a nice day, they remembered our room numbers without having to ask and when we were leaving they all came to say Goodbye and shake our hands. They didn't ask us to clear our tables after eating but we did and always received a thankyou. We've visited the Greek Islands on 9 occasions now and have to say this was the best accommodation we've stayed in, we would like to come back but we believe it's getting booked up very quickly!!
Just back from another excellent two weeks of utter relaxation.
On the whole we would agree with previous coments on this website. But it is our opinion that if you were spending money at the hotel the owner was friendly, if not you were tollerated. Unlike the local restaurants you had to pay for everything on ordering and you had to collect / return your dishes etc to the bar. It would also have been nice to have been able to get a snack or a sandwich after 5:30 as a few times we were on day long trips and did not get back until 8:30 when we had to shower, change and walk the 20 mins into Tsilivi to eat. We were told by another guest that she had complained about the dog Mikki as it had tried to bite her and her son on more than one occasion, but the owner was not interested. However shortly after the dog disappeared for the rest of the holiday. In all fairness our room was excellent as we had a sea/pool view when we were expecting an inland view. The cleanliness at the hotel was 2nd to none (this was due to the hard working maids). On the whole our stay at the Zante Star was pleasant.
Hello!
Hi Everybody
We wcame here 3 years ago and it was great, can anyone tell me if tracey is still there she was yannis english partner at the time and very nice, i just wondered!
Just returned from the Zante Star and wished I could have stayed longer. This really was the BEST holiday I have ever taken. The standard of the accommodation, pool area, bar area and food was excellent. Thankyou Yannis, Irene, Dimitri and the rest of the staff for making my stay very pleasurable, you are the greatest hosts. Don't miss the Karaoke night we had a blast! Am looking to book for next year already!
Thankyou Yannis, Irene, Dimitra, Katerina, and all of the staff of the Zante Star. We had a wonderful holiday thanks to Yannis and his staff. The appartments were well maintained and cleaned daily, wherever you look the hotel is spotlessly clean. The pool area is fantastic with more than enough sunloungers and the food is superb too.
The hotel is in a good location just far enough out of town to be peaceful, yet it is only a 10-15 min stroll from the hotel and only 10 min from the beach.
I would not hesitate in reccommending the Zante Star to anyone (in fact I already have!) and we will be returning.
5* accommodation, 5* staff, 5* service.
arrived 6.30am went straight to room. great pool/sea view although itinery said inland. great location out of main town with pleasant walk except mid afternoon when a bit hot. beach at that end not to good but not too far to better area. staff great everywhere clean. early morning flight out so had to get out of room but showers, loos etc for changing. good chose of food and prompt service and good value. overall a great place for relaxing.
My family and I have just returned from 2 fabulous weeks staying at the Zante Star Hotel. We were there as part of a wedding party as my sister was getting married in Tsilivi. The hotel was wonderful, all the apartments and public areas were of a high standard,we were lucky enough to have 1 of the larger apartments. All the staff were wonderful, special thanks to Yanni,Irene & Damitra who made the holiday so special, they were always so friendly & cheerful,no matter how late we had kept them up the previous night. Also not forgetting the resident pooch Mikki who is a star in the making & had a personality of his own. One of the best nights we had was The Greek Night, the food was fabulous and the dancers were especially brave for spinning my sisters around on their shoulders!!! Would definitely recommend it to other people & go back again myself in the future.
What a wonderful place, clean and tidy. We holiday in Greece every year and we thought that the apartments here were of a higher standard than any we have stayed in previously. The food served at the hotel is beautiful the vegetarian pasta is to die for. The people running the hotel (Yanni and Irini, father and daughter) are very friendly. The bar is run efficiently and well. The pool area is always well looked after and there are enough beds for every person staying in the hotel. So there is no need for putting towels onto sunlougers unless you want to look rather stupid. There is quite a walk from the hotel into the town and this can be very uncomfortable if taking the trip during the day in the intence heat, however if going in the evening then the long walk becomes a very pleasant walk. There are so many bars and restaurants to choose from in Tsilivi that you are spoilt for choice, yet being out of the town gives you a good chance of a great nights sleep. The entertainment nights put on by the hotel were really enjoyable, the Greek dancing night is not to be missed as the food is the best ever and the entertainment is more than just Greek dancing. The dancers catered for the adults the teenagers and the younger children they were so good.
Have just read all your reviews for The Zante Star, we have booked for the beginning of October and can't wait to go now!! Can anyone tell us what the weather may be like at this time, how cool are the evenings?
