hi gina its laura and darren thought we would have been over this year but culdnt get time off work hope ur workin hard and not takin no sh1t miss ya loads
Me and my sister got back yesterday and all i can say is wow. Had an amazing time. The staff at the hotel are wicked some of the nicest people you will every meet. The hotel is stunning and well look after. Tsilivi is great fun especially in the evening. We recommed the planet bar and mambo. Rep Andy was good fun and great help. Food in the hotel is good. Loads of choices which include local dishes. The entertainment is different (not very good) but fun too see if you want a night in. Cant wait to book up for next year.
have stayed at both zante maris and tsilivi beach napartments both very good tsilivi beach hotel not very clean cant failt apartmentsb going back next week to zante maris
Just got back from the Zante Maris today. Excellent hotel and staff great - thought they and local people a lot friendlier than in the Canaries where we usually go. No idiots with scratch cards pestering you either. No problem with cleanliness of apartment at all. Only down side is nothing to do with hotel but that b****y airport and flight delays.
Fabulous hotel, great reception, bar and restaurant staff. Excellent food. Only problem was dirty room. Our room was filthy when we arrived, it was cleaned after we complained but although sheets and towels were changed regularly and the bins emptied, we had to buy our own cleaning stuff in the end. Same problem two years ago and thought we were just unlucky with the cleaner assigned to our floor but seems that cleaning standards are very low. I borrowed the cleaner's brush to take the cobwebs off the bedframe!
I am a wheelchair user what is the access like at the Zante Maris Tsilivi, it has a good write up but I do'nt know if I will be able to get in.
this is an excellent hotel the rooms are great the staff are lovely and nothing is to much trouble. the food was brilliant plenty to go round it might be a bit exoensive buts its worth it
i only had to say this hotel is fantastic with lots of tavernas and bars around
if you ever go to tsilivi, you gotta stay here, right on the beach, rooms cleaned everyday, location ideal , just far enough away from main bars and tavernas to have some peace and quiet after a heavy night on the metaxa... we had a coupla cloudy days and the indoor pool, sauna , jacuzzi and gym (all included in your holiday) came well in handy ...staff friendly and nothing too much trouble
What a lovely place! The Hotel was clean, the staff were lovely and the room was great. We would definately come back again. I have not had a good year, so was looking forward to a quiet, relaxing time, with some laughs along the way. And I got exactly that!! i felt so relaxed at the end of my holiday, it was great. The entertainment was good, especially Zante Swing (who got me up to "assist" them a couple of times!!) and their rendition of "singing in the rain" was hilarious!! I wish i was still there. Thank you for a wonderful time!
We spent a week at Zante Maris and wish we had booked two! The hotel is in an excellent quiet location right on the beach and only a five minute walk to the tavernas and bars.
Have just returned from a great week at the Zante Maris. We read lots of reviews before booking the hotel and must say it lived up to our expectations.
I go to the zante maris on 11/9/2005. Cannot wait. See you all there whoever is going on the same date.
just got back from 2weeks at the zante maris hotel with my boyfriend! It was fabulous! It is perfectly situated right on tsilivi beach and has an excellent beach bar/restaurant that is actually on the beach! From here you have stunning views of kefalonia, it really is a great setting. The entertainment was good each night with brilliant bar staff! The hotel is about a 5min walk from the main town with a variety of restaurants, bars and shops. The rooms were fabulous with great air con and everything you need for a perfect holiday in a sweltering resort. I highly recommend this hotel-its pricey, but worth it!!!
Just back from a week at the Zante Maris - very nice hotel.

Hey! jus afta sum info on the zante maris!? Gona B staying there from the 19th july 4 2weeks. Is it worth the cash iv paid? Whats the rooms and breakfast like? Plus, what is itlike at this time of year? B xtremely grateful for any info. Cheers!
In reply to the person called "Louise", I would like to precise that the comments sent by her to this web site about our staff are unfair.
I stayed in the Zante Maris just last week..and what a WONDERFUL hotel it was the food was brilliant, every mouthful was a taste explosion, the area perfect close to lots of pubs, but best of all were the staff. Where do i start, Dreidan (sorry can't spell) was the best waiter i've ever come accross, he can hold riviting conversations while taking at least three orders at once. Gina made sure every one felt welcome got everyone in the holiday mood, Dave the barman who was the most enthusiastic bartender i've come accross and Sean another bartender, he made me feel so welcome with his kind words and wonderful service. They made my holiday the best i've had. thank's you guys! ooh and entertainment wonderful...especially the Greek dancers!
absolutely loved staying in the zante maris....yep best hotel i've stayed in. The food was...well words don't describe the taste explosion that comes with every mouthfull. But more to the point...the staff...what a wonderful bunch of people! Specifically, Dridan (cant spell) the waiter that can hold a riviting conversation while taking at least three orders, Gina who can talk to anyone about anything with a big smile on her face...Dave the most enthusiastic bar tender i have ever met in my life and Sean the lovely scottish guy that made me feel very welcome and was always so kind and helpful...what a guy.thank-you everyone! i strongly reccomend this hotel.
This is the most wonderful Hotel, it's set right on the beach and if you're lucky enough to have a sea view room you can fully appreciate it's location. We were Half Board but if you only want Bed and Breakfast there is a wide variety of very good Taverna's within easy walking distance. The food in the Hotel is of a very high standard always beautifully prepared and presented and in my opinion well worth the money.
What a great holiday one of our best, mainly because of the wonderful hotel, so clean and tidy, staff were really welcoming, what a great position so near the beach, plenty of room around the pool, bars and restuarants not very far away. What a wonderful man is the owner Christos he comes and chats to you and is really concerned that you are having a lovely holiday. Going back next year for sure. Liz and Eddie. (London)
i am 20 and i came back from a week at the Zante Maris last wednesday, the hotel is very nice, the staff make you so welcome. there is pleanty to do in the evenings, i would definately recomend the planet pub for fun and late night drinking and the most exotic cocktails on the island. we also spent a night in laganas(about 20 minutes away), a taxi will cost about 14 euro each way and you can expect a very lively night. the hotel is right on the beach and it is spotless, cant wait to go back
We are thinking of booking to stay in the Zante Maris Hotel in August this year - I've heard mixed reviews about it though. We are a young(ish) couple of 28 and are looking for a nice hotel to settle in for a couple of weeks, close to the bars and Tavernas. Are we looking at the right hotel do you think?
I am planning a trip to Tsilivi, Zanta this September and was wondering if there was any place to inline (rollerblade) skate?
We have just back from a weeks hols at the Zante Maris and when you are used to staying in self catering in Greece this is like paradise. The Hotel is great and well positioned on the beech. It's only a 2 minute walk from the bars and restaurants but you aren't effected by the noise from them. However the bar in the hotel outside does have entertainment on every night, so if you are in a room over looking the pool take soom ear plugs and don't expect an early night!
Other than that the hotel, staff and food is great and we would go back again.
Claire from Ireland, are you Dublin Claire??? if it is, will you
e-mail me sweetheart to say hello!!!
Hiya. I came to Tsilivi 5 years ago in July and got eaten alive!! What is the mosquito situation like at the end of September? I don't think it will be much of a problem as we are near the beach. Can anyone answer this for me?
hiya, i added some pictures of the hotel but i dont know if they worked. well thanks for a great 2 weeks . cheek out the pictures. byebye xxxxx
hiya i stayed in the zante maris hotel and i thought it was lovely. all he people that worked there were lovely too. thanks for a great holiday . byebye xxx

I left and currently I am back in Brighton, UK (got back sunday).

notice in and is due to leave at the end of this month. As far as I
know Charlotte and Munchie (Andrew) are staying but I'm not too
sure. Even looks like Gee is leaving too, but for all those who
don't know us it's a wonderful hotel and if you get a good price
it's well worth visiting. for those who do know me, my email is
mistahclarke@yahoo.co.uk so drop a mail to say hello. Best
wishes, Ciaran
Hello Everyone we are booked into this lovely Hotel for next May after visiting Tsilivi this year. Can anyone tell me about the type of food served in the Restuarant in the evenings and is there a Dress Code i.e Gentlemen must wear long Trousers. Love Lizzie.

see you in september love and kisses to you all caroline n garry x
We stayed at the Zante Maris the last week in May and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The hotel is clean and well maintained, the food is excellent and enough praise cannot be heaped on the staff who really did their best to ensure our stay was a very pleasant one.
The climate was great in May with a nice breeze always to be found when the sun got too hot! Be warned though - the outside pool was a little on the nippy side, so if you fancy cooling down, that's exactly where to go - shrieks from guests were not uncommon!!
All bars and restaurants are merely a stroll from the hotel, and most are good quality and value for money.
I couldn't finish without mentioning the crazy and charming english barmen, especially Ciaran and Craig, who manage to be spectacularly efficient as well as highly entertaining at the same time!
Zante, Tsilivi and indeed the Zante Maris Hotel is to be highly recommended!
Will be staying at Zante Maris in September - can anyone tell me how far to nearest bars and restaurants. All info I have read so far sounds good and looking forward to meeting Dave the entertainer.
could someone posibly tell me the closest bar/restaurant to the zante maris hotel, would be very grateful
Terry and I stayed at the Zante Maris a few weeks ago and was very happy with it. Food was buffet and very good choice. Entertainment was not much to write home about, however the English barmen made up for that! No they didn't dance around on their heads or anything but just their friendliness stood out and somehow you found yourself staying there in the evenings. Big thanks to Kieran, Craig, Dave & Andy (Munchie!)Would return if you guys stayed! Great location, close to bars, restaurants and right on the beach. Couldn't ask for more really. Not really a place for kids. More adult orientated hotel.
great hotel, great location. entertainment was a bit tame but teh band on saturdays is not to be missed. all staff really nice, especially the english bar staff! Kieran and Craig work their socks off and are the nicest guys you can meet! big thanks to them as they made our holiday and kept us in the hotel!!! great holiday and would come back again if they keep the same staff!!!
please can someone tell me how close the zante maris is to the hotel contessina
Hi, I am going to the Zante Maris at the end of August. I would like to know if the temperature cools down in the evening. I have found in some countries that I have needed a light jacket or cardigan for around my shoulders.
thank you for response dave... thats excellent... looking forward to coming, i'll bear you in mind if i have any more questions. michelle.
michelle, we serve a buffet style breakfast so you can pick and choose what ever you want, continental, full english etc. Hopefully see you soon!
Can any one tell me if their is any car hire at the hotel and if the rooms do have fridges in?

Hello folks!!!My name is Dave and i'm the Zante Maris entertainer. Any questions or comments please post them here and i'll be happy to help you in any way I can. Big hello to all our current and old guests, i love you all!! Just a quick note, the hotel is finnished and you can check out some of the rooms on www.xenos-hotels.gr
WE ARE SITTING IN THIS HOTEL NOW THE HOTEL IS FANTASTIC AND AN EXCELLENT STANDARD NOT THE USUAL THAT YOU WOULD FIND IN GREECE. THERE IS AN INDOOR POOL WITH SAUNA AND AN EXTENSIVE GYM FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT WANT TO WEAR OFF YOUR MEALS THAT ARE ALSO FANTASTIC THEY ARE BUFFET STYLE AND AS THEIR IS AN ENGLISH CHEF A VAREITY OF CHOICE.
ALL THE BAR STAFF ARE ENGLISH ALSO THE ENTERTAINMENT, FIRST CHOICE ARE THE ONLY COMPANY WHO HAVE THIS HOTEL AND I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. THERE IS NOT MUCH FOR CHILDREN WHO NEED TO BE ENTERTAINED AS IT IS HOTEL FOCUSED. THERE IS A SHOP AND YOU ARE ONLY A STONE THROW FROM THE TWO RESORTS OF TSILIVI AND PLANOS. HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A FAB TIME AND DON'T FORGET THAT SUN CREAM AS IT IS VERY HOT!!!!!!
Hi, we want to go to Zakynthos next summer and we really like to go to the Zante Maris Hotel in Tsilivi. It seems to be a new hotel (open since 2003) so we don't find many reactions on the internet from people who have visited this hotel. Who has been there? How is the food? Buffet-style? The hotel is finished completely or still under construction in some parts? Any information is welcome! Thanx !
