We loved the food especially the greek dish ariadne!!Friendly atmosphere!We went there 5 times in a week!We recommend it!!

I really don't understand how this place can be so up & down in the reviews. It's almost like 2 different places!
Anyway, we just got back from Tsilivi and this was the worst restaurant we went to without a doubt. Avoid.

during a 7 day holiday - we eat there 5 days , was great, and by far better than anywhere else

The lady at the entrance was lovely, the place looks very nice, then the food came......what a disappointment! Gingers seafood was cremated my chicken souvalaki was almost none existant! Never again!!

Very nice food and service. Price was nice too. We ate there 3 times out of the whole week in Tsilivi. We recommend this place. We will surely visit them again next time we visit Zante. Thank you all

By reading the comments on this page I truly believe that people who have given this restaurant a good review must have been at a different restaurant on a completely different island. The food took about 45 minutes to arrive, was so disgusting I didn't finish and think I can recall pulling a hair out of the main dish. The waiters were unfriendly and gave you the feeling that you were ruining their night by eating there. I will never return to this restaurant and recommend that no one else does.

We just left Zante from our annual vacations. Ariadne was the best restaurant in Tsilivi. Food is very nice. The menu is huge and every plate is better than the other. Service is a must. When we visit Zante again we will surely visit you. Hello Yiannis!!! See you next summer. Kisses to Margarita too-:))))

Got to agree with the last comments the owner wants to remember who his customers are and smile ocassionaly. The night we were there he got our order wrong and then tried to blame us. Give it a miss there are plenty more places in the town more than happy to see you and your money.

Odd looking owners. The bloke looks straight out of a die hard movie, no friendliness in his face at all. And the woman looks out of place at all.
Then when we ordered, my gf asked for a glass of wine. It came over, and had stuff swilling in it. I said not to worry, but she was a bit concerned, and then when I looked a bit closer, there was cork bits in the bottom. The bloke on seeing me came over to ask if everything was okay, to which I pointed out the cork and he explained it was the start of the wine, but didn't move to change it or anything. I asked if he could, and in the end he did.
Then when I go my food (Rabbit) I ate most of it, but it was one of those meals you seem to have eaten loads but it looks like it did when you started still ! Anyway, he came over looking all pissed off, having just commented to the woman in Greek, the body language said it all. I just said I was full.
At the end of the day, if your paying cash to these people, you expect a good, friendly service. We didn't get this.

We liked the Ariadne and was one we voted to go back to. The only difficulty was getting the bill!!

Not to bad, I know what people mean when they say the waiter just slurred at you, But the food was ok, The place to go is just round the corner past camelot is Petra, Never had a bad meal once in 4 visits and the owner is so friendly.

Ate here on our first night, the food was lovely and no problem with the service either and a very extensive menu with food for everyones taste. Not the cheapest place around but not expensive by any means.

Starters were the best thing about the meal, main course was below average and desserts disgusting!! don't risk it much better choices of eateries!!

We had the worst meal on the Island at this restaurant. The service was terrible. We had a surly waiter who almost threw the food on the table. The food was little better. It is quite hard to ruin a stiffado, but their version of it was tough and dry with fatty lumps. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

First meal was nice but second time I think the Diswasher must have been cooking because it was rubbish.

Good food. Very clean. Not the best of the best but would return as we don't like to eat at the same place every night. Check out their web site that lets you print off a voucher to get a free litre of house wine when you dine there.

Will eat again when we visit next year.

This being my 3rd visit to Tsilivi I have tried most of the Tavernas here, and to be completely honest Ariadne are by far the best, their customer care, friendliness and overall high standards made it a pleasure, more like eating with good friends. Possibly made better by the fact the typical beer swilling Brits stayed away! If you are in Tsilivi give it a go. 10/10 P.S. Thanks for the christmas card Yiannis, see you soon.

DO NOT LET THAT HORRID MAN ENTICE YOU IN. FOOD AND SERVICE ABYSMAL. WALK STRAIGHT PAST AND DO NOT LOOK BACK. THERE ARE LOADS OF GREAT RESTAURANTS IN TSILIVI - THIS ISN'T ONE OF THEM.

Well we thought the food in here was great - only had a pizza but it was very, very good! Not like anything you'd get in the UK so therefore, no it isn't Brit orientated and definitely not "tasteless". We ate in here the night England thrashed Germany so it just added to a fantastic night!

The food is very un-Greek and Brit-orientated. ie tasteless. Don't try it if you want to experience proper Greek food.

This is one of the best restaurants in Tsilivi. OK, the service is quite impersonal, but if you want to be left alone to enjoy the company you are with, and the food you are served, then this is the place to go. The food was VERY nice, and the only reason I can suggest why it has received negative reviews is because it isn't the type of place where beer-swiling rude Brits can go, and I personally think that is a good thing. The food was great. And I give it al leat 8/10.

We have just come back from Tsilivi and tried quite a few restaurants, most of which were good apart from this one in which the wine was undrinkable and the food was horrible. Only went there as it got good reviews on this site.

Good food in nice surroundings .Reasonably priced and the staff were quite friendly. The man on the door was friendly but persistant and it felt like we were being pushed inside.As I had made my mind up to try it anyway it made no difference.

Food okay but over-rated

Big, rather noisy place to eat but everything we ordered was good - 9-year-old grandson's choice for evening meal and, again, not somewhere we would choose ourselves. Go later to have a more peaceful meal.

Being as everywhere seems to have the same menu we were choosing on environs and lack of table to table sales persons. Please inside, food consistently good, waiters friendly as always and cheap as any other.

Good traditional Greek restaurant. Plenty of choice. Excellent value lamb chops. All staff very friendly and helpful.

great food, great bloke on the door, can't remember his name? we had 14 nites a different restaurant every nite this was our favourite!

I Recommend the peppered steak.

very good food and service. try the unusual steak and three cheeses. spoil yourself with the deserts as well. don't be put off by the man in the silly shirts he's really friendly!
