we went to tsillivi on 2nd september 2004, came back on the 17th september 2004. We loved our stay at the Mavrias holiday village. The rooms were spacious and clean,we stayed in room 20- which is also the same room we stayed in three years ago too, the people were lovely especially the bar staff freddie and Mikiss and babbis and Demi. Our reps (the cosmos reps) were very unhelpful and had a bad attitude. Our only disappointment was that we had to vacate our room at 10am but our coach wasn't picking us up until 2am the next morning, the reps did not offer us a complimentery room, so we could have a shower and put our cases there. Apart from this we had a lovely holiday. We would highly reccommend the paradise bar will make you feel welcome, and the family restaurant for a lovely meal.

The Mavrias Village holiday apartments provided us with such an enjoyable stay. Our apartments were spacious, private and kept very clean. The shared facilities are not what you imagine them to be..the pool is immaculate and the bar staff are the friendliest people. We were in Zante for two weeks, enough time to relax and explore the island thoroughly. If i was to go back, without question i would book these apartments again, they are in the best resort and are by far the best accommodation i have come across in Greece.

apartment very small but clean and comfortable. the kitchen area had no where to store food poor equipment we had to buy our own mugs.
the balcony are was open and you had no privacy and was very smal. staff at the bar etc were excellent and very friendly. would go again but request a different block of apartments we were in room 48.

Returned home on 10th Sept,Mavrias Holiday Village was one of the nicest, cleanest friendliest places we have ever stayed in.The Cosmos Rep Emma was fantastic.
Within walking distance of all bars and restaurants, loads going on at night for all,the beach is one of the nicest we have seen.Tsilivi is a place we will be returning to next year.As for the Mythos Larger WOW!-can you get this in England?

myself and my boyfriend have just got back from staying at the mavrias village apartments for one week. We've never been to Tsilivi before and absolutely loved it!. The apartments are lovely situated within walking distance of all the bars, restaurants and shops as well as the beach which is only five minutes walk away. Everyone who works at the apartments are so friendly and helpful they could'nt be nicer!. The food and drink is very nice and well priced and the people working in the bars/restaurants are so welcoming and friendly. We've been to plenty of places before but loved it so much here that we are already planning to go out for the summer season next year to stay and work for a while.

just returned after a wonderful week in Zante. Really pleased we chose
to stay in Tsilivi. Great resort for couples, wall to wall sunshine, loads of restaurants and bars to choose from , great atmosphere on an evening (NO TIMESHARE TOUTS !) Will definately go again soon.

Well put it this way this was our best holiday we have ever had. It was a wonderfull place and the food was good although the beer was a bit pricey nearly the same as ours, but hell its holiday so who cares. The people who met us on arival were wonderfull and made us feel like part of their family.I must say a big thank you to Fredy my best m8 and timas and valentes and katelina for making our stay so much fun and a pleasure to be around them. They all are what you want out of a holiday and more so if your going to the mavrias village expect a wonderfull welcome and you'll love it and wont wont to go home. We did'nt and we are looking forward to going back.

FANTASTIC. WENT ON A LAST MINUTE PACKAGE DEAL, HAS BEEN THE BEST HOLIDAY EVER, APART FROM MEETING OTHER FANTASTIC GUESTS, THE STAFF WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, POLITE, WELCOMING AND FUN. THE ROOMS AND POOL WERE IMMACULATLY CLEANED DAILY, COULD HAVE DONE WITH AIR CONDITIONING SO BOUGHT A FAN AT 17 EUROS FROM LOCAL SUPERMARKET AND SOLD IT AGAIN ON DEPARTURE (STILL HALF THE PRICE OF RENTING) THIS IS MY NO 1 DESTINATION FROM NOW ON. EXCELLENTLY SITUATED IN RESORT CENTRE BUT NOT NOISY, A SAFE PLACE TO BE WITH NO HARRASSMENT,LOVE FREDDY & TIMOS AT THE BAR (BABIS NEEDS TO PAY THEM GOOD MONEY)!!!!CRIED BIG STYLE WHEN I LEFT BOB, SAM AND BABY BEN

I am a travel agent in England, advertising and selling holidays through teletext and the Internet. We chose the Mavrias Village in Zante out of all the possible holidays available in Greece, so this should be a good recommendation! I am able to look at a lot of details about a place before I book it; I go there this weekend for 14 nights with my family, and it looks far better than many other more expensive places to choose to stay. It is also a good price, so is really excellent value.
I will post more details of my trip when I get back on 1st June (2003).
Why not phone me afterwards at the travel agents, I will give you an honest opinion on what we thought of it, and tell you about the best bargain deals that we are finding all the time for you to book. No obligation, just ring for info if you want! Tel 0800 195 5016

Accommodation was very good - we stayed B&B - as clean, etc as you are likely to see in Greece. Great size pool although a bit crowded when full of inflatables. Pity access to the pool is restricted to 9am-7pm and sometimes it is still being cleaned at 10am but at least you know that it is clean. Staff are excellent and very friendly. The pool bar can be a bit noisy and quite late if your room overlooks the pool but it didn't bother us. You definitely need a fan in the room as there is no air-con. Only downside was the kids got a bit sick of the electric shocks from the shower - ours only gave you a tingling in the arm but others reported proper shocks - mentiuon it to the staff or the rep and you are told that it is normal!!!! Overall, a brilliant place and well worth visiting.

Mary B

just returned froma week at the Mavrias, booked late so we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel Princess is very clean and modern and although there are no fridges in the room, we managed fine without, and endured drinking warm water during the night! Our room looked over the back of the hotel, which was pleasant enough and, more importantly, very quiet aside from the cockerel. The heat keeps you awake so a fan is a must. The hotel seems to get a lot of complaints regarding the plumbing and electric skocks etc but we and the folks in the rooms around us had no problmes at all. All in all, an excellent base for a holiday in Zante, friendly staff and very good bar food, nice pool for the kids, lovely atmosphere

Kevin H

The best holiday we have had abroad, the Mavrias village is part of the hotel princess but i think those staying self catering got the better deal. You had to rent fridges in the hotel which i find unbelieveable, our room was on the second floor overlooking the pool & bar, music is fairly loud in the evening but turned down after midnight and certainly did'nt bother us, only thing i will reccomend is hire a fan its a real must, but not from the hotel they charge about double anywhere else and theres plenty places on the main st, we stayed here 14/7/02-18/7/02 and it was bloody hot, also if you like early morning coffee try sweet revenge near main supermarket the owner is a smashing bloke and works very hard and so deserves some success

Hi Babis and all the staff, especially Freddie! what a great guy! We stopped at the Mavrias village and it was great, we had the ground floor number 5 with two rooms and a great big balcony, every thing was very clean. I would recomend you to anybody, the location is superb, surrounded by olive groves and lemon trees, I know how Shirley Valentine felt like! What great looking men too! the people are so friendly. Only complaint I had was those bleeding chickens! Cockadoodledoo!! Good luck Babis with the new baby and I hope to see you all again in the near future. Special kiss to my mate Freddie xxxx

We last visited Mavrias in 1999. We went with some friends, Beccy, Steve and my npartner James. It is one of the best places that we have ever been. It was that good that we have booked to go in June 2002. And we have also pursuaded loads of friends to go at the same time. Not only to have a great holiday but also to watch us get married. I can't wait. So see you there Babis and Demi.

Wayne E

Great location. Friendliest bar staff I've known (but lay off them Babbis they make your place). If you're going as a family of four expect your accommodation to be cramped. Despite being assurred otherwise before travelling all the beds were in one room. Don't expect any sympathy from the Airtours rep (she's as useful as a chocolate fireguard). Good selection of snacks around the pool and a good choice of restaurants in the town. We particularly recommend the Olive Tree and Fiorentina's.

Andy B

Best holiday ever. Bar Staff - Costas x 2, Freddie, Katarina were excellent, very friendly. Beach only 10 minute walk, right amount of bars, restaurants and clubs. Definately going back next year. Andy, Hayley, Paul, Jan, Ashley, Gemma, Emma and Carly - 28 June - 12th July 2001.

Maria

We travelled as two families and stayed at the Mavrias Holiday village. (4 adults and 2 teenagers (13 year olds) and 1 child (9 years old). We would go back to Tsilivi again and again, we all enjoyed the fortnight in May, (10th - 24th). We had great weather only 2 short showers of rain in a fortnight. The surrounding area was very picturesque, with roses and flowers everywhere. The meditteranean sea was a pleasant temperature for swimming and the area was spotless. The local restaurants were excellent value for money. Especially Cats Whiskers for breakfast and The Family Restaurant and Popeyes for the evening meal. Car hire through Theo's car hire is quite reasonable with plenty of suggestions for days trips. (English staff). The excersions are much cheaper and better value through the organisations advertised on the street, not through your tour reps. The newest boats are owned by the street advertisers and we are talking quite a lot cheaper for a family. (£20-£30 per family of 3). The only let down was the fact that, in the one bedroomed apartment, all the beds were in bedroom (so the children were in with the adults) with no living room area only a small kitchenette with a small table and chairs. The cleaning is virtually everyday, with plenty of clean towels and bedding. The pool area is very clean and pleasant apart for when greedy people try to hog sun loungers with towels, even though they are not going to use them. Why do the british people hog sun loungers which they are not using? How dare we critise the other nations when in my experience the brits are the worst. Highly recommended as an excellent holiday for families, couples or single older people. Not really suited to 18 year olds looking to go clubbing every night, at least not in May. Airtours night out for families is a waste of money. (You would have to be able to drink a lot of alcohol to get your monies worth out of the trip). There is no meal included, only very cheap alcohol and a show produced and performed by airtours reps. Very disappointed as we have been to lots of their shows in other countries, which have been worth the money, which included a meal.

Lynda F

Babbis and all his staff are the most friendly people we have ever met, they really made our holiday special, especially the nutty Costas. The apartments are the cleanest I have ever been in and the food is excellent, especially the Tuna Salad. We will definitely be returning again.

Kev S

perfect location; one of the few decent sized pools - although wish use wasn't restricted to 9am to 7pm. Very friendly, helpful staff and basic but perfectly OK room. Twin beds that you can't push together are annoying though - as is turning off the fridge the day you leave! Overall, highly recommended - but avoid the true brit CWs who hog the sunbeds (C***k* W*nk**s) kev and helen

Spent a wonderful week here.Bar staff superb.Facilities excellent including very clean and uncrowded pool. Apartments typically greek with an ideal location. Met lots of people who were returning regularly to hotel or apartments. Hoping to return later in the year. Excellent selection of bars and restaurants(enough to visit a new one each night).

Leanne S

I have been to these appartments twice this year it was a great holiday and has got everthing near its surroundings there is lots of bars resteraunts supermarkets and its about a 15 minuete taxi ride into zante town which has lots of everthing to suit everyone. The appartments are immaculate and are very tidy and have a great veiw of the pool and pool bar . There is music playing all through the day with a pool table table tennis games and even a childrens play area they have a greek night every 2 weeks with traditional greek dancing and greek food. we had a brilliant time and going back next year for sure this was the best appartments we have been to . rating 5 out of 5

Ann T

We've just returned from a fantastic week staying at the Mavrias, the owner and especially the evening bar staff were brilliant, very friendly and good to have a laugh with. The apartments were basic but very clean. It will be my first choice when booking for next year!

Graeme W

Very peaceful place with swimming pool and bar. Bar not very lively in the evenings and during the day the pool gets very busy. Very much a family with young children place and maybe not for couples or singles. Apartments very good clean standard but no air conditioning...which is a must. Short walk along the main road to an excellent beach. Loads and loads and load of bars and restaurants serving good quality cheap food. Try Popeyes on the main road.
