Razis Erieta Studios

hey well we just got back from here 2 days ago we were there from the 7th -21st august . Chris i think u were there the same time as us yeh pedro the cape crusader he kept jumping from bushes with a bowler hat on a cape and a torch chasing and shouting at us lol. We met a big group of boyz terry, tony, mark, jamie and adam u boyz are wiked the last nite jamie wen u took a foto of pedro the cape crusader and he went physco at you "DatS 1 FOR THE FOTO ALBUM" LOL there was also a lady with her 2 grand children toni and mandy- on there last day pedro tried accusing her of stealing saucepans and even wanted to check her bag he is totally nuts!!!! he pushed some of the guys about because a few chairs were broken seriously stay away from him. Apart from the apartments it was well good der. The pool was nice and if we hadnt gone der we wouldnt have met the boyz who we miss soooo much they gave us so much jokes... get in touch if u eva read dis. well i would 100% go laganas again the best holiday eva and if u do decide to go skiiny dipping in the pool at nite as we did keep a close eye out cuz pedro the cape crusader mite catch you !!!!!!!!

I stayed at Razis last year with my boyfriend, oh boy, never again. The owners were never about, when he was about, he was a complete nutter. The water cut off several times, there was nobody around to contact, people from next door were covered in shower gel. The crazy man was rude and aggressive, we filmed him flying off on one and are sending it off to holidays from hell. Apart from the appartement, i was lovely. The pool next door was good, along with the naughty puppy who would pinch the towels and flip flops lol. Night life  was good, didnt see anything bad. People were friendly. Im going again on the 6th September for 2 weeks with my friends. Ohh...Laganas isnt the type of place for couples as we found out last yr, you will be bored!

Just got back from Zante a couple of months ago and it is a beautiful Island. The night life is great and safe despite what the papers say. I didn't see a single fight and there definitely wasn't anyone having sex on the streets. All the stuff in the papers is only on the Baywatch pub club and it's up to you if you want to go on it. Midnight Madness is a much better night out I'm sure, with a good comedian and a free bar. Avoid black and white though because apparently the locals don't appreaciate us there. The location is good as it is near some great restaurants (try the Ionian Sea) and some quality cocktail bars such as hotlips and millangos nearby. Some cheesy clubs such as zero's and kamikaze can be found a litter further down the strip. The pool and bar are both nice with my only complaint going out to the old man (San) Pedro and the cleaniness of the places. After one night out a group of us approached the stairs and there was San Pedro emerging from a bush with a fishermans hat, cape and searchlight like a member of the Gestapo. He tells you to go to sleep and be quiet at the slightest of noise at night. One night i saw a mouse in the room and so did our neighbours. Within minutes San Pedro was at our door telling us to be quiet and go to sleep. When we tell him there's a mouse in the room he says "no problem, you be quiet and go to sleep and the mouse will be shoo shoo gone in the morning!!!". Disgusting attitude - I felt like throwing him in the pool there and then. I beg some with enough guts to do it on their last day! The mouse just may have been there because the bed linen wasn't changed once and our dirty towel (notice the lack of plural) was folded up and replaced by the same towel! However, if you don't mind being unclean and putting up with San Pedro, the Head Gestapo of Zante who never sleeps and thinks he's running a boarding school then Zante is a wonderful place to be. It is beautiful by day and very lively at night. I would definately go again.

Me and My friend will be staying here between the 21st Aug and 4th September. Please tell me it’s not that bad!!!! recommendations for some cheesy bars would be great..thanks. If yours around during those weeks, drop me a line at nicola_gordon@hotmail.com. See you all soon

we had the best time ever in zante! however mr Razis aka crazy frog, speaks no english and would always be telling people to be quiet, really if you want a quiet holiday don't go to zante. The rooms were really bad, cleaners came about 4 times while we were there they would clean around you while you are sleeping so be careful. also watch your key because our key and next door key was taken while cleaners were in cleaning ourselves and the leeds girls had to pay 10euro for a new key. if a sheet has a mark on it then Mr razis asks for 25euro! really its a joke. the location is good because its not a long walk to the strip but away from noise however never walk home alone because the place is set in trees, the pool is amazing and the family who run it are really nice they can speak english. the women wears crazy outfits it was so funny. overall if you want some thing basic this is the place to come and we had a cracking holiday

To Emma Welch were going on the 14 july n got told by the travelagents there is safety deposit boxes mind they did also say they were good appartments so who knows.

Hi, Does any one know if Razis Eriets have safe boxes in the rooms???? me and a few mates are goin in July......not too sure i wanna go now after hearing the reviews!!!

I agree with some of the comments, i have just spent my past week there! We had three towels...which where hand size lol and they slowly got taken off of us leaving us with none! As for the cleaners, what can i say! even if you leave ur key in the door they find a way to get in and disturb your sleep....even tho they do nothin! they swept our floor and pushed a few things around but that was it! The location is ok...not too far from everything and very quiet but scary when it comes to walkin home after a night out.......i wouldnt advise anyone to walk home alone! As for everything else....it was ok! they do the best cheese and ham toasties ever which go down a treat after a night out! Saying all this we still didnt want to come home and would quite happily of stayed! 

i stayed in the Razis Studios last year. im sorry to any one who is going there this year but it was the worst place i have ever stayed...... no lie. it was very dirty and very very basis. the cleaners were no good what so ever and facilities such as shower and towels were rubbish. there wasnt even a shower curtain!!!!!!!!!!! the walk from the main strip was unbelieveable. i advise any girls staying here not to wear high heels and certianly not walk back by them selves. sorry if i have put any one off but i am only warning you. its not worth the money u paid fot the Razis. What can you say??? It was basic which we didn't mind but we dunno why they bother employing cleaners cause they don't do anything! We went for two weeks and got given TWO towels between us which never got changed and neither did the sheets!! (cleaners did come three times but just to push the dirt around!!) There was no shower curtain so the water inevitably went all over the floor and the bathmat which, you guessed it, never got changed either! The kitchen stank mainly because the fridge had gone mouldy from being switched off and the bin hadn't been cleaned since God knows when! Believe it or not we would recommend it for the location because it's close enough to walk to the main strip but not so close to be noisy. The pool and pool bar were nice and they do good hangover snacks! But we would definitely not agree with the good comment about the staff. Nearly all the staff were rude to us (-we got th impression they thought we were whores because we came in at 8am one morning!!) This is a good choice if you're skint and don't care about the cleanliness of your apt. But if you're looking for daily maid service and a shower curtain don't book here!!!!

I disagree that the staff at the pool bar would help with any probs with the rooms as I found quite the opposite!!! Yeh the appartments are ok, they're in a good location as its not too far from the main strip and you don't get all the noise from the main road etc. If you are in the Erieta room 2 say hello to the mouse! ;o) The rooms weren't that well equipped, only 1 glass and no corkscrew/bottle opener - but a great big saucepan if you fancied making a big stew!!! Very very basic, but you only really doss there don't you? pool was ok.

It was good. The appartments were basic but its only to get yor head down and store your stuff. Its a bit of a walk to the main strip and the beach but hey it burns off the alcohol from the previous evening... Splash bar thats connected to it is good they sort any problems you might have with the rooms, and the beers good there too.

If anyone remembers me I was the rep for the Razis and Erieta for a while and it is the best! george and rula are lovely and the pool is great. I would reccommend it mostly to younger groups in high season as it gets quite rowdy!

Hello, prob left this a bit late but if anyone is reading this today(3rd Sept) who has already been to this accomodation please post a reply to let me know if they have safety deposit boxes or can change travellers cheques? am off there on sunday.

Its only a 20 minute walk if you walk really slowly and all the way down the strip. You can be at the smaller bars in 5 minutes and it took us about 15 minutes to get to the bigger bars - mainly because you're stopped by every PR from every bar and restaurant on the way down!!!
As for the cleanliness we had no problem with it. The rooms are cleaned virtually everyday, unfortunately this happened at 9am for us - which is not great after a night out!
It ain't the Ritz but its good basic Greek accommodation - what more do you need!

Can you help? Me and my boyfriend are staying at the Razis Erieta Studios on the 12 September 2004, Im a bit concerned that we're a bit far out from the main part of laganas, in the brochure it says 20 mins walk. There was mixed reviews on the cleaniness of the place. Can anyone help?

Just back on Sunday (15th August) from 2 weeks in the Razis studios which were just like you would get on any other greek island, simple but absolutely adequate for what you want in a holiday; shower, bed and somewhere to chill when its too hot. I agree with an ealier comment that the cleaner did arrive a little early sometimes but atleast the rooms were cleaned every other day!! Much better than many places I've been. Its a great location with a great pool bar (try the tuna salad roll!!!). Its within bout 2 mins walk of some nice relaxing bars such as rumours and cream which i would recommend and just off the main road was blue bar which was very cheap and brand new!! Very cheap cocktails with free shots and very relaxing!!! If you want lively you can walk 5 mins down the road to teh strip with all your lively bars and clubs but if you want quiet aswell, you can choose the laganas-kalamaki road where the bars are relaxed and very comfortable.

Am going to Zante for 2 weeks on September 5th staying here, please reassure me its ok! Also me and my mate are 27 and 28 so not sure we really want to do all the tacky nitelife, a little bit would be ok - are there slightly more 'downbeat' bars too if having tequila licked out of your cleavage isn't quite your bag? cheers ;o)

Just got back from a 2 week holiday and had an excellent time. After reading some of the comments about the Razis I was a bit worried but there was no reason to be. The location is excellent, you're away from the main strip, which means you can relax when you want but then you're close enough to enjoy the nightlife!!! The cleaners do come in a bit early, but you can always climb back into bed once they've gone! The Splash Pool and Bar (which is right next to the apartments) is a great place to relax during the day. We're already planning on going back next year.

I have just got back from a week with my boyfriend thought the rooms were very clean except the cleaner comes in too early and you have to lay in bed pretending to be asleep so they hurry up. Only thing that got on my nerves was you only had one toilet roll once that was gone that was it. Had a really good hols and would go back there pool was never busy so you could chill out and get a sun bed!!!!!

Dont listen to anyone who slates this place. The owner george was ace. so was the pool, bar food, rooms etc. the rooms were always cleaned better than ive had b4. quality place. would definately recommend. So soft enjoyed it anyway.

please can you let me know where the owners brother spiro is this year does he stil run the greek shop or has he gone back to running a bar?

Just got back from Razis, for the money you pay you cant complain its in a decent spot, the rooms are basic but its no different to any other apartments in Greece. The owners are sound (espicially after Greece beat France!!). The only down side was the lack of loo roll, not good for threee lads!! If you want luxury then pay the extra and go somewhere else but if you want somewhere just to crash its fine.

me and my bf are going to razis erieta in two weeks and the reviews i have read are bad, cud sum1 please update me on the situation? im worried that its guna b a bad holiday! what is there to do other than drink and sunbathe? iz there much? pleeze help

Me and my boyfriend went here for 2 weeks in August. And we had a fantastic time. The staff were lovely towards us and George and Rula are lovely people. the pool is gorgeous and the stuidos are suituated in an ideal place. Come on your all whinging about the acomodation and it wasn't that bad (i've seen worse) Everywhere in Greece is pretty basic and let's be realistic you only sleep in your room. i would defo go back to these studios again it was one of the best two weeks in my life.Yamas!

On arrival apartment ok. However shower/bathroom discusting we had to play at hosing each other down to get a decent shower.Pool/Bar area good and staff ok. Apartment owner tried charging us for a glass we never had bit of an old t**t. Location excellent 5 mins from main street & 25 mins from beech 1st week until we found short route of 10mins 2nd week.Baloncy area crap no privacy what so ever and when apartments upstairs were being cleaned you had a nice outside shower.

I stayed for one week with my mum and my three sisters at the studios. One week was enough! I had read the comments on this page before I went, bit I thought I'd give it a chance. Unfortunately evrything said about the studios are true. They are dirty, very, very basic, and everything was broken. They are meant to sleep three but I wouldn't call the broken, manky old camp bed a place to sleep. Though we did not intend to spend a lot of time in our studio, we hardly spent anytime in them. It was so depressing and uncomfortable. The hot water was off at least 2 times in the week we stayed there, and it was obvious the owner didn't care. Everyone who stayed there was fed up, and there was a bit of a revolt. The poor rep 'Danny' must have been sick of coming back to sort out problems.

On a positive note the location was good, the pool was nice and the resort was an excellent one. It catered for all types of people, lots of good places to eat and drink. HOWEVER if you are tempted by the Razis Erieta Studios, don't be. They're not worth the money.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed at the Razis for a week from 17-24th August 03. The room is VERY basic and HOT! One bit of advice, go to the pool bar when you get there and rent a fan, you'll need one, at least! The balcony was shared, bad idea! When you have you next door neighbours borrowing your chairs in the night for a party and breaking one, because they're heavy weightlifters from Manchester! (Obviously we had to pay!) Also they walk across your balcony without a care, it's a gamble if you'll enjoy your balcony experience at all!
Shower is terrible. Bed sheets changed once a week, if you're lucky! And go out ang get your own toilet roll when you get there as they didn't provide!
If your looking for a cheap holiday, then this is the place.
The pool and bar area was cool, and MOST of the paople were nice (except the Mancunians next to us). The owner was OK, as we were up front about the chair we never broke, but couldn't speak English to explain what really happened.....

We got back 2 days ago from a two week stay at the razis and found the appartments very basic, you only get 2 of everything including glass's, plates, knives and folks. The shower is a joke it is just a hole in the floor in the bathroom and the entire room was flooded, the owner is a complete to$$er!! he tried making us pay for a chair we that these kids broke who then decided th pinch ours and then he had the cheek to try and make us pay for a bath towel but we only had 1 in the first place. The location is brill, there are loads of bars and taverns and i reckomend 'Hot lips' across the road their sunday roast is to die for! and also you have to go and see Spiros who owns the Mythos Bar which is just along the main strip and i also reckomend the 'Must sports bar' which is down the main strip past the night clubs on the right hand side - they have a pool competition every saturday night with 64 people entering you can win 150 Euros and its winner takes all - i got to the final both weeks but lost! ooh and before i forget watch out crossing the road the drivers are mad and on our last night a young woman get knocked down by a taxi driver!

Hi looking at all previous comments of Razis studios, they sound ok. As long as the room is clean and the pool and bar are good. My boyfriend and I are staying in these apartments for two weeks from the 27th August 03 and can`t wait. The owners cant be that bad can they.

We stayed at the Razis in 2 studio's (No. 2 and No. 9) from May 27 2003 for 1 week. The Razis studio's are very, very basic and not because the owner wants it this way but because of what Olympic Holidays have requested in their contract. The studio toilet bin was emptied every 3 days so we put the paper down the loo for hygiene purposes (there fault if it blocks), typical greek shower, no curtain and water everywhere, if it came out at all. Basic kitchen area, not well equiped....take a tin opener, in fact take the kitchen sink if you plan on eating some meals in, okay for breakfast and light lunch).

The pool and bar area is great and is shared by other guests from surrounding studio's. The owners are very noisy though although very friendly (they make more noise during the early hours of the morning than the holidaymakers themselves, in fact not sure if they ever slept).

Went to Laganas for my first time summer 2001 and loved it so much that we stayed there all summer. For our first week we stayed at the Razis which was really clean, friendly and was only 10 minutes away from the main strip. This place is spot on would definately stay there again. I'm sure you'll have a top time.

The main problem lay in the fact that the rooms were cleaned at about 9am and we were forced onto the balcony for about 30 minutes, which I feel is extremely rude.A more resonable time would be about midday, but trying to communicate this to someone who's aim was to kick you out of bed ASAP was not easy. The pool area is farily nice and the pool bar is definitely the best feature.

We spent the first two weeks in August at these apartments and absolutely loved the place! Laganas in general is fantastic, but these apartments seemed in an ideal locations - not too near to the noise, but not too far from the night-life. Our apartment was directly opposite the pool so the convenience may have made it better for us than for others - just one word of advice; the owner loved us because we had a tidy room!

this place isent the ritz but the location isent bad about 10 min walk to the main street there is a 24 hour shop at the top of the road handy for the bog roll on your way back from the razzz the pool is goood the foood not bad its called the splash pool quite a few sun beds there so if your there before 12 mid day you will be ok can get busy so get there early need any more email me at growler_grrrr@yahoo.com ok respect safe flights all round byeeeeee exchange rate is 530 . cya

We actually really liked these apartments. We stayed in the Erieta and got back on 3.7.01. Our apartment may have been quite basic but everything was in working order and it was very clean. The location was excellent for being close to everything without being stuck in the middle of it, and the people were very friendly.

I must say I have to agree with Drew Healney these appartments are of a very poor standard both from a cleanliness point of view and also from a location point of view. We did not have any problems with ants as the COCKROACHES had eaten them all. We also had 3 days without any running water or toilet facilities. If you have booked to go to these appartments I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Enjoy your holiday!!!

8 of us got back from Laganas on the 05.07.01 and I must say these apartments are the worst I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. The rooms were ANT invested and the toilets were rarely working, let alone clean. I'm sorry that the news isn't any better but 2 of the lads used to be in the army and they said the digs in Bosnia were cleaner! SORRY!

Razis Erieta Studios are 2 seperately run studios, Razis Studios are next to the pool and Erieta Studios(where we stayed)are just behind. They are situated down a quite lane 2 mins walk from the main Kalamaki road where you can find many shops, bars and Tavernas. The main Laganas street with the livelier nightlife is 15 mins away as is the beach. Our Erieta studio was basic, but reasonably clean and quieter than the Razis studios these are near the bar which stays open til early morning. The Pool and bar are shared by several other appartments as well as being open to the general public, so it can get quite busy. Overall we thought the location was excellent and had a very enjoyable holiday. Highlights are the Greek Night at the bar on Thursdays (£7 for BBQ with Greek dancers)and also the Sarakina Taverna in the hills (free bus ride). We also spent a lot of time in the nearby Filou Coctail Bar (if you go in say hello to the Swedish barmaid Linda from Pam & Roger).

Can someone say if these apartments are nice or not as we are going in August and wanted to know. cheers
