Really great hotel, friendly staff and breakfast and dinner are great. Had a great time and only a small distance to the main strip best of all it is on the beach... Will come again!!!!! Great Hotel
Anastasia hotelo was good had one of the ground floor rooms! 2 feet away from pool! The restaurant by the pool is good and many nice ones as you walk down beach towards the strip! Got a mad chef tho in the hotel!!!
Fabulous what more can you say, although we never stayed at this hotel we will do on our next visit to Lagana. We came at the last week of the season and had a truely fab time we used the beach and bar aread attached to the hotel and were looked after by the staff great. They couldn't do enough to help even if it was end of season. For sure we will stay here on our return and if I may say what a refreshing change to have beautifull faces to look at as you lounge on the beach (im sure am not the first to comment on this) Great staff great views
It would be really helpful if I could find out from someone in the 18-25 age range what they thought of the location, the area around the hotel, good places to go, and a general opinian of the Anastasia Beach Hotel? Would also be good to know the prices of the air con, fridge and safe box?
We have just had a lovely holiday in this hotel .the staff where
freindly and helpful.Booking in was a bit off a let down, we where
given a room in the basement, but where offered a sea view for a bit
extra,it was worth it.
Location good a few minutes walk from every thing you want bars night life etc.
The chef is brilliant worth going into dinner.
Dont listen to the crap on this site,we went there this year, and we have already booked for next year,if you want to know anything, give me a buzz @buster4england@aol.com.
Staying here at the beggining of July, just wondering what the hotel is actually like, how much the fridges/air con/safe boxes cost, and where to go and do whilst were out there (11 18year old lads!). Price of beers around and things like that would also be great!!
Location wise this hotel was excellence, although it was a 10 minute walk to the main night life. It was right on the beach, ideal for those lazy days.
The food is different!!! For breakfast there were eggs with a tiny bit of bacon or hot dog type sausages, cereals, breads and the usual german breakfast. Not at all filling.
The evening meal ok but not worth the money, although the chef is a bit of a fruit cake -worth seeing!!!
The food certainly lets this place down.
hi can anybody e-mail me to tell me the truth about what anastasias hotel food is really like as i am young and wondering if it will even bother me that much i am also the worried that the weather might turn out to be rubbish. what is it usuall like at the begining of july?
I have to agree with the previous comments made by ‘tell the truth’. We stayed there around the same time this year and even though the location is fantastic, the rooms are very basic for a 4 star hotel.
On first impressions, the lobby itself looked very plush but we were so disappointed when we got to our rooms. We had requested a sea view and got 2 rooms that were practically in the basement. My friend compared them to ‘servants quarters’, which is what they were like! In our brochure it told us that there was Air Con and fridges in all rooms. But we were shocked to have to pay extra, particularly for a fridge!
We complained about rooms and the ‘grumpy manageress’ told us we could not move, as the hotel was full. They moved us the next day when there were two rooms available and they were a massive improvement, but still not what we had paid for.
Despite the initial diapointment with the rooms, we did managed to enjoy our stay there as it was right on the beach. But beware of the tourists who put their towels on their sun loungers at 7pm the night before!! I have never seen anything like it. The staff at the pool side snack bar were lovely and could not be faulted.
However we had paid for half board and I felt it was not good value. The breakfast buffet was very odd. With what can only be described as cardboard for toast, yellow water for orange juice and watery milk. And who eats cooked meats for breakfast? Very strange. The dinner buffet was equally disappointing and not good value. We ate it twice in a week but ended up going elsewhere for dinner, as it is so cheap to eat out in Laganas. But it was a complete waste of money going half board.
Overall we had a great time in Laganas and spent every night on ‘the strip’, only a 15 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is in a great location, but was far too expensive and did not offer good value for money.
The Hotel is well located right on the beach, and its only about a 15 minute walk along the beach to "The Strip", where all the crazy/fun bars are located.
The hotel pool area is good and clean, but the Czech guests beat the germans at stealing the sunbeds by putting their towels down at evening meal time, the night before the next days sunbathing! Oh, and then there were people from other hotels doing the same!!
The breakfast is nothing special, but take your own milk (the milk put out is watered down) and take your own orange juice (theirs is yellow water!).
You booked a room with a sea view? Surprise surprise they are all taken - but if you pay €10 per room per night there is one available! If you can get the Reception staff to smile, lucky you - and if you can get the grumpy manageress to be nice to you then you must be paying her extra (she works evenings only - God knows what she's like in the morning!). The cleaning staff and pool staff are excellent.
The evening meal is short on choice for starters and dessert, but the main dishes are pretty good. And as for the "Greek night", well they don't tell you until afterwards that you pay for the band! nice one, eh?
AirCon is extra, Fridge is extra, Room Safe is extra - I'm just glad we didn't have to rent our room Key in addition to having paid for the room.
All in all, the holiday was okay, but I have the lasting feeling the management was just there to rip off the guests at all chances.
Although we could eat in the Hotel as part of our package, we found the little restaurant next door (not across the road, but after the little shop) was very good.
Hi everybody, i'v got a question. we staay at the anastacia beach and I want know, how far it is to the center of laganas. is it before or afther the louis zante beach hotel. Thanks very much and greetings from switzerland
We certainly chose well when we chose to stay at the Anastasia. The best hotel on the Island. We had a sea view and the room was lovely. The hotel is right on the beach, only about 100 yards from the sea (take your mozzi deterrent!), so you avoid having to pay for a beach sunbed as the ones round the hotel pool are free and much better. Staff are friendly and helpful and we'd certainly go back there again. Oh and the poolside bar serves the best beer we've ever tasted!
Stayed here in June this year, One of the best hotels I have stayed in!!. The views were fantastic, we were on a B&B basis but had lunch there most of the time (great all you can eat BBQ to in the evening and the beer is served in a frozen glass!!)- The staff are so friendly and make you so welcome. It is definately worth paying the 4 euros (i think) a day for the air conditioning - as it was boiling hot!! will be going back again for sure.
The hotel has direct access to the beach and is blissfully peaceful yet it is only a short stroll to the centre of Laganas. The staff led by Yianni, Nicklos and Maria are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were excellent and maintained brilliantly by the maids. There were loads of sunbeds but watch the Germans sneaking down with towels at Midnight!!. Breakfast has plenty of choice for a continental style but no Kellogs. The best time for the turtles is June/July. Hire a motorboat at Jimmy's and go beach hopping around the bay it's brilliant
wow, the nicest hotel on the island. we were shocked by the accomadations of some hotels our friends stayed in. the anastasia beach hotel was great. i was really happy, i also was very pleased that they provide a website to book online and even check out hotel events and island events. check it out its worth the look. www.anastasiabeachhotel.com
Al, we've just returned from the Anasatasia Place Hotel in Laganas - don't know if this is the same place, we booked through Manos. If it is, it's a lovely hotel. At the end of the beach in Laganas, towards Kalamaki about a 10 min walk down the beach from the town centre. Rooms were fairly spacious and the food was fine, coffee was naff though! It's right on the beach with a good pool. Only problem is that there are a lot of Germans, and it's true what they say about the sunbeds, they'd bagged all the decent ones by about 8.30am!! HOpe this helps, have a good holiday
