have just returned from theses very friendly apartments. Great locaton 7 mins from the action walking along the beach. rooms small but clean and serviceable. Bedding clean. nice pool

just got back from a week stay at Kosta studios, here's the bad points... the rooms are bog standard, beds rock hard and very uncomfortable, the showers are ridiculous! no shower curtain so the bathroom is completely flooded by time you finish (make sure you dont leave the toilet paper in there!) the maid came round once during our stay so had to sleep in a bed of sand for most of the week and you only get 1 towel each and are not happy when you ask for more! the owner is never there so if you need something like the air con fixing or you've lost your key etcc.. nobody can help you! so you have to hunt him down for hours! the pool is pretty tiny and is seperated from the main road by a 3 foot wall so pretty much everyone can watch you sunbathing! ok so for the good points.. everything was clean when we got there, bathrooms, rooms, pool etc was pretty spotless so that was a plus, the couple who run the pool bar paula and jack are brilliant! very friendly and helpful. the food in the pool bar was good too. really close to main strip and restaurants but not too noisy you cant get any sleep! we had a great time in Zante and didnt really spend much time in our rooms anyway so you can get over the lowpoints, and to be fair i think pretty much every hotel is the same in Laganas!

Just got back yesterday from an amazing stay at Kostas! Had an absolutely fantastic time, location is excellent, 5 min walk to main strip, and so close to all the restauants and shops! Rooms clean and safe, everyone friendly! One of the best things about Kostas is Jo, she works there and makes your holiday great, she is always around to show you around and tell you where to go, and helps you out, and yes does get you the most amazing drinks!!! Oh and the breakfasts... shes a genius! Would definately recommend, im just about to book to go back in sept! 

Stayed at Kostas in June. We had a lovely holiday. Apartments clean and the pool was fantastic.

just back from 2 week in kostas, it was honestly de best 2 week of my life, jo realy made the holiday for us she was great help and use 2 show us around de town and can hook yas up with the best drink promotions haha, but the song breath easy hit me hard when we were leavin. i would defo recommend this resort, would love 2 be back there now and hope 2 return one day :),

 just back from a week in the kostas studios. me and benny  had a great time. room was nice.. grand size and comfy bed ! pool was lovely...and new!! i have to say i have never felt more welcome on a holiday before and thats down to jo....the lovely jo who looked after us for the week..she makes a killer brekie! were heading back in sept for another week cause we were well impressed. recomended to everyone ! 5 minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to the main strip which is ideal cause we could have a great nyts sleep and yet we were quite central. would'nt dream of staying anywhere else . o and do us a favour..if you do go please give jo a hug from sean and benny!!  x

Just back from a week at the Kostas Studios in Zante. Not bad apartments except for the shower! Doesnt stay on the wall and water goes everywhere!! Lovely resort though, would definitely go back again, loved the beach!

who knows how far of a walk the apartments are from the main strip?

me and 3 mates stayed here the first week in july of this year, it was absolubtly awesome, couldnt fault anything about the holiday!!! A new swimming pool built this yr was a life saver as we were told we'd have 2 use next doors pool. they are in the process of opening a poolside bar and reception area but if you ask me there is no need because without them you have all the freedom you want! occasionally the owner, or shall i say 'owners' as there seemed to be a different one evryday came round to check evrything was ok and there was a security guard at night- spiros!! he doesnt like too much noise but as long as u beahve urself- (as much as you can ) hes no problem! rooms get cleaned once a week by a maid who changes your sheets etc! air con is availabe, we brought it for  60euros and got cold in the night, it wasnt a necessity really but i would say a safe is- only about 30 euros! the hotel is off the main strip, situated between 2 supermarkets and opposite is a great little cafe with brilliant food.  i would recommend this apartments to anyone wantin an ace holiday in zante, perfect location, clean rooms- they are quite basic but your not expecting the ritz and believe me you only spend about 4 hrs a day in there and thts wen ur asleep! the showers arent very good but take this hint, if you go dwn the stairs in the reception area you'll find a ladies and mens shower room/ toilet- those showers are much better!! anyways wish anyone going here the best holiday ever- and i guarnatee you it wont beats ours ;) !!

Spot on this place, location perfect, just off the strip for a good kip but very near the action. Ikaros next door has everything u need, n theres a shop next door for ur everyday needs! No security, just get ur keys on the day u arrive, so u got all the freedom in the world! 18 rooms in this block, will be returning this summer in July.

hi! me and five of my mates are staying at the kostas apartments in july this year. do many young people stay there or is it more families? also i woud really appriciate if u cud recomend cheap places 2 eat and go out. thanks

took over rooms 14-18 from 8th august;
perfect location overlooking the full monty "fit girl" bar
basic but clean, cant w8 till next year; will be oin the same agen!
jus a shame its owned by a w**ker!

Just got back from two weeks staying in the Kostas appartments, found them basic but very clean and in a good location away from all the noise from the strip. These apartments are basically just apartments no reception area or bar/pool - but the Ikaros next door has everything you need - nice food but very pricey. Go to Georginos and Friends for good cheap food further down the road!! Great Holiday - would definitely go back!!

Just got back from 2 weeks in Laganas and it would appear that Kosmar or Kostas or both have done a U-turn and decided to re-open for the rest of the season.
John, glad you enjoyed your stay there.The building work you saw was in fact all breezeblock and scaffolding when we were there 2nd May, and it does now look a lot more presentable,though far from finished.
The air conditioning etc was last year's refurbishment,which was one of the reasons we specifically wanted to go back this year.
I must apologise for any concerns/worries that my comments may have caused anyone,but they were made with the best of intentions.
Hope you all enjoy your stays there - only wish we had had the chance.

Natalie, yes the apartments were basic but clean, the double glazing was a great bonus for keeping out the road noise ect. About 150m down the road on the same side is Kostas restaurant where the food is real quality, in nice surroundings and reasonably priced too. If you like your 'full english' you will find 'fatsos' 50m further down, who do an 'all you can eat' breky buffet with drinks for four euros until 2pm. For chinese the Bee Garden on the main drag was realy good. Avoid the chinese/indian on the Kalamaki road, none of us enjoyed that one. Short cut to the beach is down the road to the left of the Vivian hotel.

Thats good to hear, we go in 6 weeks time! Hope the weather was nice and hot?? Was the Kosta apartments clean then? Is there any resturants you would recommend? Thanks for your comments!

Just stayed at the Kostas last week. Sure enough there was a shell for a new reception but no work was in progress while we were there. They have recently added air conditioning and double glazed wndows/patio doors so that could be why it was closed early on.
There are two hotels with pools that you can choose from. For boom boom! and debauchery, the Vivian is across the busy road, or for a laid back easy going experience try the Ikaros hotel next door.

Thanks! A few different responses appearing hey! Anyway I called my travel agent after reading your comment and they got in touch with Kosmar. Appartently there is building work going on at the moment but should be completed by the time we go in August. They have asked us to call back in July so they can confirm if building work is complete and if not will relocate us. So lets see!

Barry, I only posted exactly what Kosmar told us when we rang with our concerns. Anyway we go out on the 6th June expecting to stay at Kostas, so we'll see where we end up and post on this site when we return. I'm sure that, like yourself we will enjoy wherever we stay, but thanks for the information. John Young, Edinburgh.

JY, I don't know who you are or where you're from,but I stand by my facts.(Having spoken to Kostas personally).
We are returning to Laganas in the near future so I will update you on my return.

Yes, the alternative accommodation was good.We were put in the Marios Hotel (which are only apartments) located on the opposite side of the road to Kostas and which are also owned by Kostas.They already have their own reception and a nice bar area.
Hope you enjoy your stay wherever they re-locate you.

Re-the post before last. According to Kosmar these apartments are open for business as usual, there is no building work in progress or planned for the remainder of the 2004 season. Have a nice stay!!
