Vossos Hotel

Good hotel security kept noise down at times but depends on ya neighbours lol!  Cleaner came in about 11am!  Close to the beach and i recomend eating around the corner at toad in the hole its well good food!  The pool is good and sunbeds are free! 

Hi everyone, me and five of my other friends just got back from Vossos Apartments (June 1st - June 8th)  after a week, and have to say was the best holiday ever! Zante was great! Apartments are very basic but with a bed abd a shower what more do you need?! Escapades reps are the best too - look out for Lydia, Helen, Randy Andy and Jabba! We booked the trips for the whole week for 190 euros i think- this included a bar crawl, a school disco night, a booze cruise, a mini bar crawl, a pleasure beach with a free go on the water sports and a moonlight madness night! School disco and the booze cruise are brilliant! Don't forget to take a school uniform! And Yannis - he's the best - will tell you off for being too loud but he's harmless-and seriously that guy never ever sleeps! Not too far from the main strip, its about a 15minute walk! Rescue club is a must, fire breathing greek men and great music!

Me and my mate (25) are going 1st June to Vossos studio's, love to know more about it? Hope its not a dodgy place and is it near everything? bars and beach?! Looking for a good time but not too crazy i hope we're too old for all that now! We're both single girls so hope there's a bit of eye candy around!!

OK, now before we get started on the whole business of location, and the sort of guest’s staying in the Hotel, let’s begin with what has of late become my favourite subject….YANNIS.
After reading other comments on the website I was a little worried about what to expect from the hotel manager in question but after meeting the man/legend himself I can reveal he is one of the funniest men on the planet, albeit not intentionally.
If we are sitting comfortably, then I’ll begin.
At first sight of Yannis you may not thing much, (you’ll have to give this time ladies, you’ll learn to adore his rugged looks), from a distance he appears to be your average Greek guy. When you move closer you will realise he is actually a one-eyed android.
As a result Yannis does not need to eat….he is infact solar powered.
In the early hours of the morning he plugs himself into the same solar panels that generate hot water in the hotel (that’s 100% genuine) to charge himself up. This charge time is roughly 3 hours and enables him to travel at an average land speed of 1.5km per hour (it would be 2km per hour but his dodgy leg means one in four steps goes sideways). Occasionally you will find him sipping Lyptons iced tea (Peach flavour) and Red Bull, don’t be fooled by this apparent need for re-hydration, this is merely an exersize deception.
On a more serious note, Yannis provided us with some of the best moments of our holiday. Our first meeting with him and his gigantic magnifying glass was a classic. He uses this to examine things that are small such as receipts……and things that are large such as 32inch widescreen television. On booking us into our rooms he began checking for our names against then room numbers so they could be allocated….a task mildly difficult for a man with impaired vision, made nigh on impossible when the paper is held 1mm for the magnifying glass which is turn pressed to the retina of the eye, looking at an upside down piece of paper.
We eventually managed to gain access to our hotel room after the 2hour wait and issue with the name/room allocation outlined above.

As soon as you check in you have to pay 50 euros deposit for the room so please note this if on limited budget. You are advised about noise yet the owner plays music till all hours. Prices in shops not cheap and the place as a whole is all about taking your money. Better places to stay around the island and in Laganas. DO NOT book trips with reps as it is a total rip off. We booked to go on a trip to see turtles, paid 30 ueros each and coach did not turn up, got money back and booked else where for 10 euros each. Do tour the island as it is a beautiful place, especially Alykes with good beach. Shops and most pubs, restaurants not very curtious in Laganas, but fine in other resorts. Vossos studios NOT reccomended as they are in poor condition, not very well cleaned or maintained aswell as very basic even by Greek standards.

Not the best of places we have stayed - the owner is a bit weird and always has a fag hanging out of his mouth. The pool looked a bit on the green side so we didnt use it and went to the beach instead which is only a three minute walk away. The cleaner comes each day but doesnt change the sheets or towels, just does a bit of mopping. Good location for bars and restauraunts. Would definately not go back here to stay but great if you are just looking for basic accomodation. The drinks and food are really cheap in Laganas definately worth a visit to the Bee Garden - Chinese Restauraunt!!!! If you have earl;y morning flight times you can keep the room until 9pm for an extra 20 Euros (defo worth doing)!!

I have just come back from Zante and staying in Vossos studios they are ok a lot better than some of the apartments i have seen but not the best i have seen. The owner is a bit annoying when we came in late in the morning he would always moan at us for being loud!!! the food behind the bar is not very nice so i wouldnt even try it we had a breakfast once and it was discusting!!! The nightlife is good but the bars/clubs get a bit boring after a while the same old thing and the music gets a bit boring its all last years stuff like Jamelia and Beyonce i must of heard those songs 20 times in one night!!!! overall it was a good holiday but not sure if i would go again!!! enjoy yourselves when ever your going!!!! What are the Vossos arpartments really like??? is it 18 - 30's or will we actually get some peace and quiet??? please help!!!!!

how is it staying in Vossos what do you reckon of it, i am due to come in a few weeks and i have heard all diffrent things about it!! so how is it??

also what is the area like fpr bars and things are there loads of fit blokes?

So you want to know about Vossos well, the apartments are basic but you have everything you need. Its friendly and in a great location not far away from the strip of restraunts and pubs/clubs but not too clse either so you are able to get a good nights "well mornings" sleep when you get to bed. The bar and snack bar is open until the ealry hours of the morning so you are able to get drinks when you return from your night out.. They are really suitable for young couples or groups of friends. The pool area is nice, don’t get bothered at all, if your having a kip from your heavy night or just relaxing in the sun. about 5 minutes away from the beach.

The room are cleaned(well that’s what they call it) everyday…

There are plenty of pubs and clubs and loads of places to eat not too far away. Laganas is a very good place to go..They are all on the strip so you arent walking all over to find good bars..

This time of the year it is HOT!!!

Just got home a few days ago not liking reality at all :(
Anyhoo you want to know about the appartments.... Vossos really
isn't bad for Greek accomodation you have air con (unless you
stay in room 236 like we did) you have a tv but surprise surprise
it's all in Greek but who goes away to watch tv anyway, the
cleaners come in everyday generally tidy up not sure they actually
changed the sheets though, the pool aint bad although when we
first got there it looked a bit dodgy, you have a shop seconds
away perfect for stocking up on crisps and alcohol :o) Yannis the
owner is normally up from 6 in the evening to 6 in the morning so
he can be a bit snappy with you when you come crawling in at 5
am and then all bundle round the pool to share the nights
activities or just more drinking!
To get to the strip you can either take a stroll down the beach
10-15 mins or take the road which i guess is bout the same
distance you just start at different ends.
If you have a night flight and want to keep the room til 9 pm
instead of being kicked out at 10am pay the man it's only 20
euros and it's worth it for the peace if you don't he will keep
ringing and ringing and if you think your cleaver and unplug the
phone he'll come to your room and knock until you answer!

Well i guess that's all you need to know.

Don't expect any service from that guy though, but he will call you if you don't pay for the airconditioning!!

And also: It's okay to loose the key to the safety box... it only costs 15 euro.

Studios were basic, minging pool which gurgled at random intervals (enter at own risk! trust me) and smelly shower water. Yiannis dealt out lethal alcohol shots but wasn't up for making a cup of tea at 3 in the morning when we were waiting for coach to pick us up. Too busy looking at nude women on his computer!! All in all it wasn't that bad but wouldn't want to go to vossos again. PS Golden Sun reps were very helpful.

where is vossos apartments location on the island

BEEN BACK 2 DAYS YANNIS IS VERY FRIENDLY HAD WICKED TIME. ROOMS WERE CLEAN WATCH OUT 4 PELARGOS TOURS REP VERY LIPPY

Only been back 4 days! We stayed in Vossos for 2 weeks, and we thought we were very lucky with our accomodation as we were allocated accomodation on arrival. The pool was fine and location couldnt have been better! Rooms are very basic, but being four students we are use to it. Be aware of nutty barking dogs, barking at completey random times of the day. If you are driving a car try and hit a few, do the whole population of Zante a favour! The cleaners come most days and dont take very long which was nice. We stayed in the original Vossos appartments which were x 18-30. They were a bit run down and the pool had no water but they were really cheap if you're wanting to stay for the whole summer. Also really fun, full of workers. Yannis the owner is a hoot and never around so you can make as much noise as you want.
