had best holiday for a long time. nancy and marinos were great hosts. dennis was brilliant, little antony was a monster but great. made some good friends, and have already booked to go back next year. we cannot wait.

We had an amazing holiday in laganas. stayed at the Marinos which was like a home away from home. Marinos is always happy and there are more free shots than you can possibly imagine. Loved the BBQ night, everyone ends up really drunk. Made some really good friends and slapped a chinese flattop on the head!!!!!! AMAZING!

Would we go back? YES PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to Nancy and Marinos for the hospitality they showed us we had a great time and would not hesitate to visit them again,the rooms were excellent as were the pool and the bar facilities.apartments were near to the main drag with its hussle and bustle but set back enough so it was nice and quiet (well i never heard anything anyway must have been all the free shots of Sambuka)My thanks to both Nancy and Marinos for being so friendly and helpful, they could not do enough for us and nothing was a problem so anyone going out there have no fears you will really enjoy it! PS sorry it took so long to post this if your reading this Nancy hope you remember Sharon (you both got off to a good start on our arrival ha!)and Paul and our two lads(Alex and Sam) from Durham hope to see you again!

Hello!! I didnt stay at Marinos this year, i was across the road at aleka but im staying there next year! Everyone is right, the staff are REALLY friendly.

This was our first time to Zante,staying across the road in Bona-Vista.Spent many nights in Marinos drinking Sambuca.As for Nancey&Marinos fantastic people can`t wait for next.Roll on 26 June 2005

Had a fantastic time in Zante this year and the main reason among others was the fantastic hospitality of the family at Marinos Studios. Marinos, Nancy, Dennis and Tony were fantastic hosts and if they weren't going out of there way to help you in some way then they were endlessly making you laugh. All fantastic amenitites and rooms were clean. Nice setting, off the main road in a nice quiet location but with enough to keep you amused on site if you like. Will definitely be going back, if not just to experience the BBQ night on Wednesdays which was loads of fun. I would recommend these appartments to anyone especially if you are partial to a few free shots!

We stayed in the Bona vista apartments across the road from Marinos Apartments but used to go over to here for few beers and games of pool and used to drink there at night with Theo from the Mikelos restarant in Kalamki.

Marinos and Nancy are absolutley lovely people. and Marinos is a mad mad. had brilliant time anyway especially as we were away when all the football was on. take care Nancy and Marinos. lots of love Nikki & Rik (Malakas)x x x x see ya next year

Just returned from a week at Marinos, it was brilliant! Studio was a good size,very clean and despite previous comments about noise, our appartment backed onto building site and we heard nothing.Marinos and Nancy were very helpful and nothing was too much for them. Quiz night/BBQ was great and plenty of free shots. Booking for next year shortly.Anyone going soon,Dennis, the eldest son collects football shirts and all donations gratefully received.

We have just returned from a week here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The studios were clean, and quite a decent size. There was 10 of us so we caused a bit of commotion every now and then. BBQ was a good laugh, however if you don't like chicken or sausages you are knackered. Pool small but you are able to swim ok in it- no problem getting sun beds either. snacks are nice too. Plenty of free shots every night !!!!

Family very nice and very helpful- marinos was funny
nancy was lovely and willing to do anything to make your stay better
dennis- the most cockney greek i have heard and also very helpful and a great laugh
tony- a real charmer and will be a real heartbreaker when he is older

one problem- the building work behind the studios starts at 7 in the morning - this is nothing to do with nancy and marinos and they are leaglly allowed to start then so there aint nothing that can be done about noise- quite at around lunch time though till about 5 then work carries on for another hour or so

AFTER STAYING HERE FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND MEETING UP WITH OLD FRIENDS,YEAR ON YEAR,WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT THIS YEAR AND NOT JUST FOR OURSELVES. MARINOS AND ATHENA EXPECT US ALL TO RETURN AND SERVICE AND PRICE WAS VERY POOR.TOGETHER WITH THE BUILDING WORK WHICH STARTS AT 7.30AM FAR FROM RESTFUL.
TO CAP IT ALL WAS OUR MISFORTUNE TO WITNESS MARINOS ADMINISTERING CORRECTION TO HIS 8 YEAR OLD SON,TONY,WITH A POOL CUE STRIKING HIM SO HARD HE BROKE THE CUE IN HALF. SORRY MARINOS WE WILL BE TAKING OUR EURO,S ELSEWHERE.

Going back to zante yet again this year. Love it so much here that its like going home. We have been going now for 10 years. We have got to know Marinos and Nancy very well. We remember when Dennis was such a sweet kid (how he`s changed), he is still our cockney greek though. Marinos and Nancy have always made us feel welcome and the studios are very nice and clean. They are situated in an ideal location, just off the main street so you can take or leave the heavy night life. you get the best of both worlds.

We have had good times at the bar-b-que/quiz night, playing bingo and just chilling out by the pool. We enjoy it so much that we have even booked for next year (13 June 2005). Our sons Tyler (7) and Carter (1) love Zante as much as us. That is why we are always drawn back to Marinos as it is ideal for families as well as couples.

Cant wait for the day to come. See you soon Crazy Marinos (remember the kahula club)

Stayed in the Aleka Apartments over the road. A nice welcome when you first enter Marinos and throughout your stay! Whole family very friendly and happy in a totally genuine way. Dennis, eldest son, very mad but very good at English and good laugh. Tony, youngest son, a demon at pool (plenty of practice).

Stayed in marinos studios from 17th - 23 Aug. Friendliest place I've ever stayed. Rooms are very nice and clean and marino and his wife nancy are very nice too. They have 2 sons dennis and tony, dennis is really nice but tony can be a real pain but he's cute! Dennis speaks excellent english my friend and i thought he was english when we met him! I would recommend the studios to anybody, families, couples or groups of friends if you want a relatively quiet location yet close to restaurants, bars , shops and beach. These amenities are all between 5-10 minutes away from Marinos. There is go-karting just around the corner too.

Stayed here the first 2 weeks in August. Have never stayed anywhere with such friendly hosts. We were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived. We stayed on the ground floor opposite the pool bar and the pool table. The bar stays open until the last customers leave but once you shut the inside patio door you cant here a thing, they mainly shut the pool bar doors after midnight anyway so there is not to much noise. You can hire safety deposit boxes at the pool bar, there is a concrete thing on the wall with lots of lock boxes in it. You can also hire fans for your room.
Nancy and Marinos have a barbeque every Thursday its 10 euros and you get a meal which consists of chicken, sausage, cheese, salad, chips and bread and lots of free shots. There is also a quiz and a few games, all very good fun!
The pool is quite small but there is never any problem getting a sun lounger we got the sames ones nearly everyday for 2 weeks.
Dennis speaks fantastic English, you would think he was English when you first here him speak, hes very friendly and always up for a chat.
There were always lots of free shots on a nighttime which ranged from tasting very nice to being absolutely disgusting! Just watch you dont fall in the ditch at the end of the road on your way out after one to many!

We stayed at the Marinos appartments a few weeks ago, had friends staying in other places and ours was definitely best! A 10minute walk to the main strip either along the beach or via a dirt track (take a torch!) Great restaurant - Hermion just down the road. Appartments are v quiet at night so perfect for a family.Beach is about 5minute walk away, supermarkets nearby. Appartments have small balcony, 2 ring hob, kettle, fridge, small shower. Would reccomend to anyone!

Could someone please advise if this accommodation would be suitable to take a child under 1 yr to please.

hi, stayed at the marinos apartments and it was great brilliant people lovely apartments,bar and pool.The people there are really friendly,someone put in a different message that dennis there oldest lad was annoying not the case he was fun friendly and helped everyone, just like his parents.The evening enetertainment is good dont miss the barbique on friday and you must go and see ELfes.

stayed at the aleka just accross the road but used marinos pool and bar everyday.Found it to be an absolute jewel of a place.The owners marinos and nancy make a great team..and hand out a good few free shots!! Had a great time also talkin to their son dennis who was described as abit of a nuisance in another report..he,s actually a very intelligent and fun young lad and anyone visitin should take a football top for dennis to hang up.Dont miss the barbie nite !!! Stayed in the Aleka apartments over the road( about 30 seconds on foot!) Spent all day by the pool here, well looked after by Nancy and Marinos, good food(snack type meals) and drink ( with regular shots of sambuca etc) Good clean place and had a great week. No fighting or pre dawn pinching of the sunbeds either. Had the same ones all week. Yammas!

Just returned from staying at Marinoses, although, Kosmar messed up our reservation and we (two) ended up staying at apartments set aside for four people, which was a bonus. only 30 seconds walk to main Marinos complex. Marinos and Nancy are very friendly and their eldest son, Dennis, who has never been to England, but speaks with a Geordie accent, is an intelligent, if not an inquisitive teenager. The pool and bar area is reminiscent of a Devon hotel, with the bar built within a conservatory-type structure. After a night along the Laganas drag, we spent all evenings at the Marinoses, where the sliding doors are shut at midnight to drown out the noise. Marinoses is lively, but it is not inhabited by the 18-30s crowd, but mainly by groups in the 20s and 30s who stop by for a drink before/after heading off, or by older people (like us in our 30s) who don't want anything too rowdy, but not too quiet either. Lots of free sambuca shots, and a couple of complementary beers when we arrived were nice touches. We insisted on Marinos and his wife Nacy, on playing some Greek music one evening, and reluctantly, fearing that the English crowd would 'run away' as Marinos put it, relented, and a good evening was had by all. Marinoses is definitely worth staying at — their hospitality is truly genuine.

Excellent holiday.Marinos & Nancy are great hosts always welcomed with a smile.We found apartments the quietest we've stayed in even though we were above the bar & it stayed open until everybody had gone to bed.Setting is great as its close to the main road but you don't get the crowds.See you again in October

I have just got back from a week in laganas.My family and I stayed in the appts opposite the Marinos.Every nite we would end up at the marinos.The guy Marinos was reeally really friendly always smiling etc and giving out free drinks.I got 2 no his son dennis quite well.Hes amazing u would think he was from britain what with all the english he speaks.The barbi an quiz nite waz really good, lots of fun at that.I hope 2 go bak vsoon.those of u saying there son waz annoying were u meaning Dennis or Tony??????????

The pool area was nice and the staff friendly although the owners kids could be a pain. Rooms were small but clean. We found it very noisy at night mainly as the bar would stay open as long as people wanted and this meant it could be noisy until 4am or later! Fairly central to the town and supermarkets etc. Beach about 15 mins walk.

Typical Jack and Vera behind the bar although their son can be quite annoying. Lots of sambucca on the go if you catch them in the right mood. Accomodation nice but Bona Vista, just across the road is much nicer and quieter with a larger pool. Agree that they are the friendliest couple you coudl wish to meet and always go back and say hello if you're in the area as that's when the free sambucca flows. Got to the point where I had to stop going to see them, as my liver couldn't cope!

we have stayed at marinos and found them very good the owners marinos and nancy were very helpfull and pleasant the apartments are of a good standard it is about 2 mins walk from the main drag has a nice pool and jacuzzi good bar and allways has a laugh and a joke until nancy shouts at him we have always drank until the very early hours then sometimes gone for a dip in the pool they also have good barbies and quiz nights with plenty of free shots thrown in for good measure see you all on the 1st of july
