Christina Hotel

We will never visit Christina Studios ever again. We were miles from anywhere, Christina was moody and not very welcoming. The room was very basic - but the cleaners did a good job. (We cooked in our room sometimes and bought our own drink, much to the dislike of Christina). I liked the island and if you get a chance to go on a boat round the island then i fully recommend it - well worth it. I'd like to say a big hello to anyone else who was there between the 4th May - 18th May, hi Steve see that you made a commment earlier!. Hope you and your children are well, have you got your money wet since!??

hiya everyone,,,,,,,i cant believe the bad comments about christinas..we absolutley loved the place,,,we ( my wife, myself and my ten year old daughter) thought it was really great ,,rooms were always cleaned and the music wasnt thatloud.

Basic does not begin to discribe this place and 4/10 is way too generous. The apt was cleaned every day and the cleaners did really do their stuff well but the attitude of the owners was absolutely shocking. The mother was like the wicked witch of the north and Christina was certainly a good pupil. The only time they cracked a smile was when you had your hand in your pocket paying them. We had the cheek to ask if we could borrow some salt one day and my friend was physically grabbed by the arm told it had better be returned the next day or else (we didnt). The pool was noisy but not unbearably so except on one of the BBQ nights when there was a fight outside our apt, probably the Greek music got the better of them. The apt was really badly equiped, the fridge leaked, one knife, three forks and a couple of pots. They really do not like you supplying your own food but charge ott for theirs which is really crap.Tsilivi itself is amazing and we will most certainly return but no way will we be visiting this place again.The apts are only about a five or six minute walk from the pubs etc. Take insect spray too as the kitchen was crawling with slaters and ants.

well the christina was a nice hotel,its a family run hotel(1st up best dressed) our room was supposed to be self catering, there was just enough stuff to make a sandwich. which is a sore point for the christina's(mother and daughter) as they dont like you cooking in the rooms. they pulled there face at any fun we had in the pool. and if you visit make sure you have a hefty supply of toilet paper as they give them out weekly( so you will have to pinch them from the pool toilets when you can)

Just returned from Christina Stds and found most of the complaints justified, except for the music volume and variety seems to be much better this year. In the pool, Christina banned us from having inflatables and diving, and the kids were not allowed to splash any water out of the pool. The food and drink at the bar was double or triple the price of the local shop and then Christina could not understand why people were cooking and eating in the rooms, and buying their own drinks. On the up side, the rooms were cleaned and tidied immaculately every day. Do not leave a tip in the room for the cleaners because they do not get the chance to get it before Christina helps herself. After climbing the hill with a pushchair for the 20th time, the muscles in the back of your legs began to look like Popeye!! Would not go back, even if you paid us!!

CHRISTINA STUDIOS ARE RUN BY A LOVELY GREEK FAMILY WHO ARE NOT ONLY FRIENDLY BUT WILL DO ANYTHING FOR YOU TO MAKE YOUR STAY A PLEASENT ONE.
STUDIOS ARE JUST AWAY FROM SHOPS AND BARS. BEACH IS 5 MINUTES WALK AWAY AND SUPERMARKET 3 MINUTES AWAY

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in zante, (again!) although last year we stayed right in the middle of town which suited us better as christina studios are quite a walk away from anything! ok if you have a car. apartments had a lovely view & were always cleaned & tidied every day, the pool was very clean & the pool-side bar fry-ups were yummy! other than the location the only other annoyance would be the constant blareing music that is played all day long, can be heard from all apartments. not ideal if you want a nap during the day. other than that we thought christina was a fairly comfortable and pleasent stay.

CHRISTINA STS ARE LOVELY, THEY ARE OWNED BY A LOVELY FAMILY WHO DO THERE BEST SPEAK ENGLISH AND MAKE EVERYONE FEEL WELCOME AND THE STS ARE VERY CLEAN. THE SITUATION IS PERFECT AS JUST SET OUT OF TSILIVI BUT IS A NICE SHORT STROLL TO THE CENTRE. I LOVED IT AND WOULD COME BACK NEXT YR AND THE YR AFTER. SO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!

it seems that it has changed from last year, thats a shame. you are right i wouldn't say it was for families. when i went last july it was mainly young couples. Also you get what you pay for at the end of the day, we only paid 250 for 1 week. i've just got back from holiday and paid a hell of a lot more then that and it was better.i've heard from a lot of people that Kosmar holidays are VERY basic. there is no way i would have been able to go for more then a week just too basic. But i had a lovely time last year and me and my boyfriend can't believe the bad comments.

Oh dear! We stayed at Christina Apartments in late August. Nice rooms, very clean with nice pool and away from the noisy town ... and here comes the but, a very large 'but' ... Christina and her staff insisted on broadcasting very loud brit-pop from the pool bar throughout the day and much of the night. This intolerable din thumped through our room (and most others) and completely ruined our holiday turning a potentially excellent location into a living hell. We were even tortured by this music when the pool area was occupied by two staff and no guests - plain selfish! This accommodation is suited to anyone aged 13, Not suited to anyone seeking relaxation or families with young children (if they want to sleep before 12.30). Huge disappointment. We spent most of our break avoiding the place and did not even touch the pool. Also note that the property is actually in Planos, some 20 minutes from Tsilivi and about 30 mins walk from any beach worth visiting. Thank you Kosmar!

And I thought it was just me! I am so pleased that other people have found Christina unfriendly and unpleasant. The accommodation itself was fine and cleaned regularly - the pool is lovely but the management really let it down. If you don't mind constant scrutiny and criticism and feel that a holiday need not be relaxing then this is the accommodation for you. Fawlty Towers without the humour.

Don't go here if you don't like Shania Twain (Its the only CD she plays)

Just got back from there yesterday, have to agree with the guy who said they were unfriendly. Got shouted at for taking our own bottle of water by the pool, got shouted at for putting feet on the sunbeds when we still had our flip flops on (if we didn't keep cutting our feet on the sharp edges of the pool we would have taken them off, we found Christina quite friendly towards the end but found her very money minded (wasn;t worried about a broken glass cutting the childrens feet she was worried because she had to pay for it??? Lovely resort would go back but wouldn't stay at the Christina P.s If you have a room on the ground floor beware on Thursday nights when she has her barbeque they will climb over your balcony and steal your chairs, be nice if the asked permission

Me and my partner are going to Tsilivi on 25/8 and staying at the Christina studios. What are they like for a young couple? We dont like it noisy and dont mind a bit of a walk, but how far is it? Im hoping the negative comments are perhaps from families for whom it probably wouldnt be the greatest thanks Vicki

It is quite far from the main resort. The apartments are very basic i.e. 1 knife 2 forks a bowl and a balcony full of stray cats. The main resort itself is great for kids and families but wouldn't recomend it for young couples. Cristina and family didn't manage to crack a smile all week! Another point of note is that she only has two CDs at the bar, which is great if you like Lionel Ritchie!

No way are they unfriendly that is a load of rubbish. they are so friendly. the person that said that must be mad. yes the appartments are basic but they cleaned ours every day even folded my clothes at the end of my bed. i thought it was great i would go there again it's perfect for young and old couples. oh the hill isn't that bad.

Too far from anywhere, staff unfriendly, would not stay here again.

Can someone PLEASE confirm how far it is to Tsilivi centre, seems it is anything from 5 mins to 25 mins from reading the comments. Also how far to beach?

Very clean, maid cleaning every day Take large bath towels as only hand towels supplied clean every day. very steep lead up to apartments not suitable for old people or people with physical handicaps 12 mins to Alexandre Beach, 12 mins to main street in outer part of Tsilivi. 25 min walk to centre of Tsilivi Good pool area with snack bar garden area unkempt Gardener obviously gone on his holidays. Nearest Supermarket 8 mins walk the bars, restaurants and supermarkets are all on "euro currency rip off mode"

Very clean and friendly place, We loved staying with Christina and her family. They would do anything to make your stay more comfortable. Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

I went in July and i loved it. We only went for a week which was no way long enough. The Appartment was basic but thats all you need we were never in in. The pool is really nice, and everyone was really friendly.

Really friendly, clean and quiet. The room was perfect for two of us. A small outer room with fridge/ cooker rings etc was fine (we ate out or the bar does snack food) and the balcony had a nice view of the olive groves and the sea. The pool is uncrowded and pleasant, and we would definitely go back. Only a 5 minute walk from the edge of the resort, we preferred to take the horse and carriage back occasionally rather than walk.

excellent place the apartments are a bit small, but the people who own them are very friendly especially christina herself.Good food and service and it is very cheap not to many germans either well worth a visit

The apartment was clean, and you are away from the centre so it is fairly quiet at night. The staff are friendly, although they don't all speak good English (NOT a critisism - my Greek is hopeless..!), and the pool is good. The beach is a pleasant stroll away. You definately need to buy an electric (liquid) mosquito repellent thing for the room (they do work)! For a quiet, sunbathing holiday, with enough bars and tavernas to keep you fed and watered of an evening, this is a good place. DocB.

watch out for the nasty mozzies, i left lots of squashed bloody stains on the walls. quite a spa**e room and a bit of a hike to the beach (unless you take a sneaky short cut through the olive grove across the road!) but really lovely staff and a sweet little pool side bar. it best feature is the fact that it's not in the nasty tacky, ultra touristy bit of tsville, but down the road a bit instead. you might as well go to blackpool if you stay in that bit!

Going there 1/8/01.....what's it like....where abouts in Tsilivi etc. Usually stay at Planet Bar if you haven't been before, you'll enjoy it....have a good holi-holiday....Dave and Sandra.

christina apartments have recently been up dated they have heated pool and just before you get to the apartments there is an exellent bar open till late (behind the honey bar)

Need info even quicker than that, we're going there in June..! Watch this space if you haven't heard anything before then... DocB
