hi mona,  not sure if the kids club will be running this year but it was certainly on last year. the family that were thrown out last year were not as innocent as their review seems. i was there at the same time and the kids were drinking and making alot of noise at 2 or 3 am almost every night (not in the evenings as written). as for the mother, she went into town and left her 13 year old babysitting her 3 year old once or twice. they were given several warnings as the oscar is a family orientated hotel and a few complaints had been made about the noise. dont be misled by one silly woman trying to bad mouth the oscar. it is one of the best hotels i have ever visited (been twice now) and i cant wait to go again.

Hi can anyone tell me if they have kids clubs at this hotel? read reviews a bit warey as a family was throw out for making noise??? if that was true?? any one know any thing about this?? appart from that reviews good! any one with any other views would be great!! Thanks

We were at the Oscar Apartments last two weeks in August with our 2 daughters Jennifer and Erin and Jen's boyfiried Graeme.  We had a great time and the entertainment was great especially Arnie, good laugh and made our holiday, great places to eat and so cheap and friendly. Going back next year same time.

The weather in June should be really nice. The rep looking after the kids as a woman called Alexa. She is really good and i am sure she will keep the kids happy

IAM OFF TO THE OSCAR APARTMENTS ON THE 19TH OCTOBER. WE ARE TAKING A 13 YR OLD. I'VE READ GOOD THINGS ABOUT THESE APTS, BUT WONERED IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT THE WEATHER IS LIKE AROUND THIS TIME OF YEAR ?

 LOVED this place.We will defo be coming back there again, its very clean, peaceful(not boring) and the staff are great! We pretty much did our own thing and went out during the days, the Oscar was a terrific base to explore the island. The gardens are beautiful as well. The electric went off a couple of times after a thunder storm but this happened all over the island, and was a laugh and part of the holiday! It is a way from the main drag but they have put a bus on and the taxi rank is quite near at reasonable rates. We LOVED the orange Oscar!!!

We have just got back yesterday after having a pleasent 2 weeks at the oscar ,location is a bit out of the way but there is a bus that runs a few times a day ,a taxi is only 6 euros to the main strip and beach !! arnie was fun but he so cheats at everthing !! lovely friendly staff,the pool and everwhere within the oscar is exceptionaly clean ,enjoyed the greek night and barbecue .greta holiday and great people !!!

Heyyyya everyone at the Oscar! came back yday (sunday) having stayed there for 2 weeks! it was brill  bit hello to arnie, dimitris (james) and the man who owns it - but i forgot his name.

We arrive on Sunday 20th August for two weeks, - we are greatly spurred on by all the positive comments that have been left and are looking forward to our stay more than ever now.

This will be our first stay in Zante, and obviously at Oscar, but the way all the write ups are going I'm sure it wont be our last.

Two more sleeps and we are there.

Just got back from a brilliant 2 weeks at the Oscar aparts Laganas. We arrived on the 29th June 2006! What a great holiday! Arnie is a legend he made our holiday!!! with entertainment of an evening, sports during the day(football, volleyball, table tennis, pool, darts) and kids club there was always something to keep you busy! Dimitris (barman) is a great guy! what would we have done without u and all those baby guiness! Reception staff very friendly and helpful! Aparts very clean and spacious! Can't fault the holiday at all apart from th shocking boat trip!!! lol!!  We will be back!!!!

HI again its chanelle we are coming back 2 the oscar in 8 weeks and i really cant wait and i  also cant wait till i beat arnie at vollyball haha

We have recently visitied the Oscar Apartments, we loved every minute of it. The apartments are always clean and the entertain is great!! We challenged Arnies Dream team and unfortuantly lost!! We would definately recommed the Oscar Apts!!!

Hi there are supermarkets nearby. Kalamaki is not within walking distance of the oscar.

Hi we were there last year in july with our 2 kids amanda (12) & Josh (8) and we all had a brilliant time, it was that great we are going back this year.

Arnie was a real character and the management and staff were brilliant.

The oscar was great me my sister and my dad went last year it was fab arnie is good at pool but rubbish at volly ball

my best things were happy hour,the food,arnie and kids cocktail but I can name a lt more if you want to go take my advice JUST GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!its wiked

We stayed at the Oscar in September 2005. We enjoyed our stay so much we are going back with our daughters their partners and our grandchildren in June 2006. the Palataki was great for a meal but the Paradise was the best ever. Watch out sexy eyes we are coming back for the the voleyball and we have extra players this year.

Hi its Dakota i think oscar is great you can get lots of sun and there is a lot of restraunts nearby so you can go out for a meal !!!!!!!

I was the Children Rep in the Oscar for 6 months in 2005. It was the best hotel i've worked in!! The staff were like my family.. Its the ideal holiday for a family, with the kids club, its location is far enough to be out of the clubers atmospere but close enough to visit for shopping, beach and drinking. I would go on holiday there!!!!

Myself and my two sons have just come back from Hotel Oscar Zante, one of the best holidays we have had on the island, this was our third visit to the Island but by far the best, the hotel pool was the centre of all day time activetys with the help of the hotel entertainer Arnie, both my boys David and Daniel had a ball every day, we got to meet lots of new friends, both on holiday and staff, a big thanks to all who made this holiday enjoyable.would be my first choice for next year. to all the staff a big thankyou

My husband, son and I had a wonderful week at the Oscar.  My son made friends with Craig, Josh, Thomas and Liam.  Terri and Laura were wonderful in the Kids Club!  All the staff went out of their way to help.  Would recomend it to anyone.

I stayed at the oscar from the 4th sept to 18th sept and loved it. Had a great time. All the staff where great...ARNIE (SEXY EYES) was great we had a laugh with the karaoke, NIKOS(I LOVE YOU!!!!), TAKIS (NICE GUY XX), DIM (THANX FOR THE COCKTAILS) and last of all.....ANDREW(LOVE THE GUY).

I got back from the Oscar Hotel on Sunday, I had an absolutly fantastic time. The Oscar is a great place to stay, it has friendly staff (Takis on reception) and great food. It is quite a walk to the centre but well worth it! I definatlty would go again.

Just back from Oscar apartments, stayed from 23rd July - 7th August. Had BRILLIANT time, all the staff are great - Dmitri for being the best barman ;-) Nikos, Nikki, Yiota - hi to Arnie, the entertainer ... GO DREAM TEAM!! We still on for that night out in Dublin in November!! Hi to all the other guests - Miss Oscar Tracy, Maxine & Jessica ... Nick & Sam ... Mr & Mrs Fart and Ciara ... Doug & Pauline ... Good hotel with friendly staff, Costas, Dimitri and Takis to name a few. Free bus to the beach every day. The hotel is about 30 mins walk to beach but 6 euros in a taxi however long or short the journey. Water Park in Sarakinado, dont book through the Rep, you could get a taxi and pay at the door (cheaper). Watersports at St Nicholas Beach a Great Day out. We hired pedalo at Laganas beach and saw lots of turtles, you can even hire small speed boat. Fantastic holiday would definately go again.

My son and I have been twice to the Oscar, last October and in June this year.  Both times we have never been let down.  The staff are brilliant and so friendly and the place is spotless.  It is a bit of a walk down to the strip itself but a taxi is very cheap.  The entertainment is excellent for everyone.  Hope to get back next year to see everyone.

Add your comment here..Hi, We stayed last September,2004, and had a lovely time. The apartments were wonderfully clean, the reception area spotless and the staff very pleasant. The beach is a fair distance but hey, while your walking youre also getting a great tan!and also working off all the excess booze and food youve over fed yourself. A courtesy bus was in operation if you didnt fancy the walk. I would say it took about half an hour during the day, but maybe 1 hour at night, depending on how many cocktails had been consumed. A wonderful relaxing getaway, a wonderful island and wonderful people.

 To the lady who is going in August with the 8yr old, he will love it!Plenty of activities for him to do, brill pool and poolside pool table, very friendly people.

How far away is the beach - do you have to walk miles or is it a nice walk.:P

Add your comment here The oscar appartments are first class and the entertainment is excellent for adults and children.The only downside to some people might be the location, it is about a mile from the beach. We were there in late october and had agreat time.

I was here on holiday 29th July - 12th August with my family and we had a really good time. The entertainment in the hotel was excellent so keep that up Netty (especially the football!!!) It's not that far down to the main strip. We walked it every night and it only took about 20-30 mins. I would recommend this hotel more to families though but there is a good time to be had by all.

hiya i stayed with my four ladys on the 2/9/04 to the 9/9/04! amazin holiday would liked to have stayed another week! the nightlife is excellent very good music - i could dance forever in those bars. the hotel was good - we had ourselves some nice rooms, even tho the staff were a bit strange (apart from netty she was sound o an dimitri who gave us some nice free shots) - we were sure somthin dodgy was goin on with costa's ex business!!!
the nots lads were good fun, we had a wicked time didnt we - James u r a legend - keep dancin its all good!
Well if u want a wicked holiday with lots of cocktails an shots then go to Zante an live the dream!!! wish i was there now!!

Met some really great people there especially the Nottingham lads, you made the hols for us, so Thanks!! This is Anthony from the Nottingham boyz on tour 2004. First got there proper pissed, apartments were well to small but don’t let that bother you. extra respect to the v fit and cool adele, u gave me the most fun in 1 week and still managed to fit swimming lessons in 2 it 2, could b here ages writing about u so got 2 stop here. not even bothered about the hotel didn't care. if you want wicked tunes hit rescues some banging prodigy an old skool lovit!!! thank you to the staff, escecially netty for looking after us on that long wait for the coach.
you 2 brummie bro's you made the trip home a bit easier cos it was s**t waiting.

Hello! We stayed at oscars with the Notts lads and we had a wicked time! Lag is great.....mad but great! We had a wicked week made better by the boys so massive thank you!!! Oscar staff bit moody apart from Netty who is top lass!!! Nightlife is the bomb would recommend zante to anyone! So sad to be back....tis boring at home!!! Hopefully we'll see the notts lads soon to relive our zante experience! (PS. love you james!!!!!!hehehe)
