Hi Gina, Thank you so much for the wonderful food, fabulous hospitality and amazing service that Tony and I receive each time we come and see you - year in year out - Ethnic is by far and away the best restaurant in Argassi which is why we are so happy to stand and wait for a seat!!   Tania and Max work so hard and it is always such a struggle to work out which lovely meal to have - of course Ethnic Chicken was always my favourite!! Our only problem is when you 'Go Fishing' !! See you all again next September

I've lived here for 15 years on and off and Ethnic is by far the best restaurant on the island. Hot chilli ribs are my fave but i can highly recommend ANY of the food on the menu and don't forget to have Ethnic chips for starters.

Fantastic!  We went there four times in two weeks (13 - 30th August).  If our (early teenage) kids had their way we'd have been there every night.  We tried several dishes between the 5 of us over our four visits and they were all excellent!  The mixed grill is only for those with a massive appetite and I can personally recommend the chicken with lamb haggis.  The kids LOVED the ribs - but watch out for the hot chilli ones - the sauce it unbelievably hot, although Gina does warn you first!

Wish we were still there...

We spent 2 weeks in Argassi from 2/8/07 -- 16/8/07, easily the best resteraunt on the planet, let alone Argassi. Food unbelivable, prices very low. Gina and her boys made us very welcome, we will see you again. Barz, Diane, Lucy, and Ben  

Myself and 9 friends stayed In Agrassi from 20th - 27th July 2007. Best restaurant by a mile. Gina is also No 1 Aussie/Greek Godess, Fresh mussels at 3am. Hard to beat  that. Also, 2 doors up is Artimeus Bar. Great to drink til the sun rises with a full belly

Visited Ethnic mid June.

My boyfriend had garlic chips to start and the mixed grill which was the biggest mixed grill Ive ever seen and he managed to eat it all  though I had a few tastes of the yummy meat!

Great restaurant and one of the cheapest we came across.  The food is fabulous, stuffed pork on the spit, great spare ribs and the kebabs were fantastic.  Very friendly staff.  Get there early because it's one of the few places in Argassi that gets full at night. 

hi,gina meals excellent as usual,not as pricey as others would have you believe,try the stuffed pork or the t-bone steak.

   HI, I HAD THE BEST CHICKEN KEBAB EVER AT ETHNIC ON THE 15TH MAY 2007, AND I ONLY WISHED THAT I'D FOUND THIS PLACE ON MY FIRST DAY, AND NOT ON MY LAST !! 100% GREAT FOOD, DRINK & SERVICE, THE BEST !! CHEERS

the food was alright, but that was all i could say about it. it was a place we went to early in the week and didnt return to. this was also the dearest meal of the week, but not the best. returned home on 16/5/07

Ethnic is defo one of the best places to go in Argassi for a nice meal on a evening. Do try when you go

What can you say to do this place justice?  Absolutley fantastic!!!  As others have said this is a meat lovers paradise.  Not only is the food great but the welcome, service and atmosphere are superb.

Dont even think of  ordering teh special mixed grill unless you haven't eaten in days.

This is by far and wide the best restaurant in Argassi - I find it hard to believe that someone can leave here not completely satisfied both from the food and the service. We ate here several times last year and it was our first choice for our first meal this year - trying to drag Tony to a different restaurant because Ethnic was full was my biggest problem! Gina, Tania and the boys make you welcome on each visit and we will be making it our first stop when we go back to Argassi next year!!  

This is probably the best restaurant in Argassi. We ate here twice in our holiday and thats only because we discovered it quite late on. The food was delicious, not too expensive and the service was great. It was good not to be pressurised to go to into the restaurant unlike almost every other place! We had jalapenos to start, stuffed lamb and sweet chilli chicken, all of which were lovely. Would definitely recommend it!

read previous comments before going and put on list to try. wife had spare ribs and like a previous comment meat was very spa**e in fact 2 of the ribs were just bone. nice atmosphere, nice staff but we felt pricey

We probably had our best meal of the holiday in here. Lovely food and really good service.

We ate there three times whilst in Argassi from 20 July to 4 Aug, the food was fantastic!!! If you love meat, you'll love Ethnic, no veggies here please.

never ever had a bad meal here fantastic food and plentifull but i s pose not even gina can please everyone lol i.ll be back in here next summer no worrys simply the best

 Excellent place, food great. the only problem we had was that we sat near the kitchen and it was a really really hot day and this made it a bit uncomfortable.  other than that on fault. woild recommend this to anyone going.   thanks

 The best place to eat in Argassi for us.  Food was excellent (pork stuffed with tomato and onion, chicken kebab, grilled chicken)  Staff are the friendliest people we met from all the restraunts we visited, no one pressuring you in off the street, no need to always plenty of customers in eating through reputation. not rushed out after you have finished your meal very laid back. Excellent !

 We kept walking past and the place was always very busy, when we did go in one night we found out why. The food was ablsolutely fabulous, service was fantastic, what a find, would go there again and again just to try everything on the menu

We ate here in May 2006 - easily the best meal we had whilst in Argassi. Amazing food, great service (no-one outside pressuring you to go in and eat). You must try some of the specials - meat off the spit was excellent (I had pork and my fiance had chicken & lamb haggis - delicious!). Really cosy restaurant - do not miss this place while you're in Argassi

WE LOVED IT ..... after reading reviews was determined to find it and try it out.... nearly gave up 1st go as we had to wait about 10 mins for a table, which semed crazy when every other restaurant around could seat you straight away ...... BUT NOW WE KNOW WHY.......

THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC ....... THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT ........ THE ATMOSPHERE WAS BRILLIANT ..... THE OWNER & STAFF WERE SOOOOOO FRIENDLY< CHATTY< HELPFUL & LOVELY...... THANK-YOU FOR SEVERAL WONDERFUL NIGHTS.

 

We loved it soo much we came back 3 times in 1 week ... between us we tried loads of different food & it was all excellent..... especially the rack of lamb & don't forget the apple pie, with a twist of cinammon ... yummie or what.

Also the prices were totally reasonable, in fact I would say very cheap for the quality & quantity.

 

Ethnic was recommended to us by the rep in our hotel and it was well worth it, the kebabs are delicious.  The place is small but has a great atmosphere.

great food and gina was very friendly and took time to talk to every customer.the mixed grill i had was excellent lamb chops sausages,chicken breast,spare ribs barbeque sauce and no rice,thank god!

Took us three nights to get in to this very popular restuarant, but one we had eaten there we realised why it was so busy, great food, Gina was really friendly and was great with Fred!  Well worth a visit.

We ate here once on our last night..... wish we had gone there sooner..... the food was out of this world ........service was brilliant and price was excellant as well.

gina the aussie girl who owns this place deserves all the good comments she gets she has time and energy for every customer who goes in and eats fantastic food as well  her chips are to die for  in a good way  all in all i would tell anyone who reads this  comments page and are going to argassi  this place is fantastic

how the girl gina managed  to serve the full restaurant  almost single handed was amazing  little max was a help to her cleaning.Pity we only managed to go once

The food in Ethnic was excellent. Had the most wonderful half chicken. Without doubt the best I have tasted. The kebabs were excaellent and the Ethnic Chilli Chicken superb as well. Service was good, only complaint was it did not have good air con, but a small quibble really. Will definitely go back next year.

Superb food with fantastic service.. we ate there 3 nights of 14 but on reflection we probably should of eaten there EVERY night as no other restaurant can compare. 10/10

well this place does not deserve 10 out of 10 the reason is its gotta be the friendliest place i ave been two the food is unbelievable and huge and gina is such a nice women this place gets 20 out of 10 from me

We absolutely LOVED Ethnic and were recommending it to everyone of our freinds. We ate at many places in Argassi, but it beat the rest (Castaways, Papillon etc) HANDS DOWN!

Fabulous food, absolutely top notch. Great service, though they became so busy it took a while for us to get the bill even after asking twice.

Excellent restaurant, food was to die for. Gina offers a service that is second to none, the best part was being able to sit at the bar in "Artemis" a few doors along and have your dinner delivered onto the bar complete with plates & cutlery - died and gone to heaven !!!!

1st class food and service in here try the mixed grill there is enough for 2 people it satisfy even the hungriest of people

What a fantastic place this is. This was the only place we visited twice and I had the same dish - Ethnic Chicken with Sweet Chilli Sauce (served in a pitta with chips 4.50 euros or you could go large for 6 euros). Lovely environment, oil lamps, nice music, friendly service, nice wine. Thanks very much for a great two meals. A++++++

Thank God for Ethnic!!!!!! It was the only redeeming feature of our disasterous
holiday to Argassi. Gina is brilliant and takes time with all her customers. The
food is incredible. Loved the Aussie Burger and the Chicken Roquefort
Pitta..too yummie for words. If you are going to anywhere in Zakynthos hiire a
car and go to this restaurant....you will be sorry if you don't!!!!!!

Awwww, we only found this by chance on the last-but-one day, by logging-on 2 this site in the Mouse House Internet Cafe in the resort! Somehow missed it during our pre-visit preparations and walked right past several times ! How could we ??? It is lovely, by far the best in Argassi. Nice, rustic decor, really cosy atmosphere once Gina puts the lights out, and great food. We had the Ethnic Chicken, Ethnic Lamb Chops, Ethnic Pork (a little bit hotter, this) and Stuffed Pork. Also ethnic chips, garlic bread, tzatziki and onion rings. Not all in one sitting, mind ! All highly recommended, even by my very fussy plain-eating husband. This is honestly the only place I felt really relaxed, sat here for hours, and didn't feel hassled even though there were people queuing up outside 2 come in. Just wish we'd found it sooner. Oh, it's just past the Artemis Bar opposite Smile Tours.

Gina who owns and runs Ethnic is simply THE BEST !!! The food is THE BEST !!! . . . nuff said really. I worked at the Artemis bar this past summer and if it wasn't for Gina and her food I would not have survived. Thank you Gina ... I WILL be back.

As for anyone travelling to Argassi, PLEASE do yourselves a favour and eat here at LEAST once, I'm telling you . . you'll be back for more !!! . . Miss you all guys !!

Never before have I been on holiday and visited the same restaurant 6 nights on the trot! Ethnic chicken in sweet chili sauce is a must. Grilled feta starter is something special. Spicy pork is HOT!!!! Gina is brilliant, takes time out with her customers and is very funny. If you are in Argassi don't bother with the rest, go straight to the best!

This place was fantastic.
I don't like kebab back home but it was amazing here.
Staff were so lovely even the night we went in to eat and ended up breaking everything in sight, I'm sure you will remeber Gina, that night was just a comedy of errors, -We still had the nerve to go there and eat-in again though :)
Ethnic was recommended to us, as for some reason you tend not to notice it's there.

Had Ethnic recommended to us and wasn,t disappointed.Food excellent particulary the sweet chilli chicken and the lamb chops with mushrooms.Colouring books for the kids while you eat!

Have eaten here numeruos times & never had a less than excellent meal.My husbands mouth waters at the very thought of an ethnic kabab.Back out there in 4 weeks see you then Gina.(Lisa's mum).

I was PR at Castaways in 2000, and this place made my life much more enjoyable! Try the Ozzy Burger, beef, cheese, mushrooms, bacon, onions, bun and chips! Heaven. Nothing like stumbling out of the Artemis @ 3am and straight into the ethnic. TRY IT!
