Dados (Jimmys) Hotel

I just got back from Zante last night and had to come on this to let everyone know that Jimmy's was great!It must of improved since the people that hated it went because i had no problems with our accomodation at all.Jimmy's is basic but clean and the pool area is the nicest i seen in laganas.I went with 4 girls and it was ideal for us the only problem was the cleaner was a bit rude but apart from that i can't complain so don't rule out Jimmy's!!!

i thought Jimmys Hotel was great, just got back on Thurday, and i was gutted i had to leave. Like everyone is saying the apatments are pretty basic but the rest of the holiday made up for it. All the staff were very friendly and we got on with everybody. I say to anybody who was thinking of going there to definately go for it!!!

we stayed at jimmys 7th july to 14th. it wernt that bad!!!! the location of the place was bang on! seriously wikid!! there were 4 of us girls stayin there n although it was quite basic it was jus wot u needed 4 a p**s up holiday!!

jimmy was nice but he did fall out wiv us a few times wen we were jumpin in the pool at 5 in the mornin out of our faces! oh n wen he caught us atemptin 2 have a party wiv sum lads n the shower fell apart!!

im staying in jimmys arriving on 25aug with my friend. Is the accomoation really that bad???  a gilr need to have a decent shower!! lol
Can anyone update me on how accomadation is at the minute.. these reviews are relly putting me off!!

Went to jimmys with a group of 8 girls, had a fantastic time. The pool area was great, probably the best in the area n had a really lively atmosphere. The rooms were much better than we had expected after reading some reviews on here. They were pretty basic but very clean n had everything we needed, would have been cramped for three people to share though. The hotel had a great location and is near to everything n the shop underneath sold pretty much everything we needed! Would definatly recommend it to groups of young people.

We are flying out to jimmys on the 28th of this month, how ever hearing the comments on the standard of the accomodation we are a little bit concerned!! Do you think that there is anything that we could do before we go to guarentee a better room??

i have booked to go to jimmys in aug for 2 weeks. It is a suprise for my bf's birthday. I am now a bit worried at all the negative feedback..however I have seen some positive. Can anyone who has been recently let me know what to expect? Cheers all!!!

I'm afraid Maria is right. The apartments are quite vile!! Location wise Jimmys is very good (apart from road alongside which often sounded like the M4), a 1 minute walk to the beach and less than 5 minutes to the main strip. The pool area has recently opened and is very nice indeed. Everything is brand new and very clean and the pool itself, complete with Jacuzzi, is lovely.

Well, we booked Jimmy's as the Manos' brochure described the accommodation as basic but highly recommended. Whilst the location is excellent and the pool area is nice and clean and new, it certainly does not make up for the estate of the accommodation. When the door to the apartment was opened for us, my heart sunk. I think what the meant by basic was grotty. The kitchenette units and the sink where so old, they looked like they were about to fall apart, again because of age, they didn't look clean. The electrical appliances looked like they would catch fire if you dared to plug them in. As for the bathroom……. To start with, it was so small you could not swing a cat. There was no shower curtain and the toilet seat was overlapping the shower tray, which made showering a bit of a difficult affair!! Between the fact that the shower did not have much pressure and one minute it was ice cold and the next it would scald you; and the shower head was so old and full of lime scale, that the water just squirted a bit of water to the sides, making it impossible to rinse your hair. To flush the toilet, you needed to push a button up on a small rusty water tank hanging from the wall, which was in such a bad condition, that water would trickle down your arm every time you flushed. The maid would clean your room every other day if you were lucky. The main problem with this is that, as everywhere else in Greece, you have to put your used toilet paper on the bin rather than flushing it down the toilet. Now, can you imagine the smell in a tiny hot bathroom with a bin containing two days old used loo paper?? Not nice, let me tell you!! At the beginning of the second week, I had to ask the maid for clean bed sheets and towels, as they had not been changed once. The maid could not understand me, (which is ok, I would never complain about that. After all, I can't speak Greek either!), so she took me to the shop downstairs so they could translate for me. There, they made me feel like I was being unreasonable, by asking for clean stuff. I would never recommend Jimmy's to anyone, not in a million years. I have photos of everything I described above, but unfortunately, I can't upload them here, for some reason.

As for the rep, at first she appears to be really cool, until you realise that she actually could not give a damn about you and your holiday. Customer service at its worse, I thought. When we asked her to move elsewhere, she asked us to pay a fee in excess of 600 Euros. I would never, ever travel with Manos again

Yes, there are lots of cashpoints near Jimmy's. they are in the main strip, which is less than 5 minutes walk. you can't beat Jimmy's for location, but what a horrible place to stay. Honestly, these appartments are terrible.

elly, there are a handful of cash machines on the main strip tru the middle of laganas. You could probably walk for about 5 mins tops to find one. Can you let me know what you think of jimmy's when you get back im debating whether to book or not for august?! Thanks

Goin to Jimmys in a week, can anyone tell me if there's a cash point nearby?

Just got back from Zante today and we absoloutly loved it! The studios are great, very basic but everything you need. The maid is great she came in everyday and even did our washing up!!! The pool is gorgeous with its own jacuzzi, it manages to get the sun all day aswell if you manage to get a sunlounger on the grass bit! There is a pool snack bar which serves good food, great sausage booties for first thing in the morning. You only have to walk five minutes to the main strip of laganas either by the beach or the road and the beach is only a two minute walk! We loved it so much that we are hoping to go back later on in the summer! If you want a laugh one night head to the pink panther, the bear song will have you in stitches! hope you enjoy as much as we did!

Zante holiday last year was wicked, but jimmy's was scab!!!!! It was really near beach and nightlife which is good, hope there is no more than two of you to a room as we couldnt even swing our cat, and he has only got threee legs!!! Watch your feet in the shower coz it tends to regurgitate itselfs through the drain hole in the bathroom, so take extra towels!!! Seriously, Good luck guys!!

Does this place have a snack bar for during the day? I sthe pool completely up and running now?

I'm going 14th July for 2 weeks with 8 other guys...the nightlife should be ok for us lot shouldn't it? Found out that the pool will be finished by mid may, so it should definitely be ready for the summer holidays.

Just got bak from Laganas and loved every minute of it couldnt get much closer to the beach if u wanted it the rooms were very basic but served their purpose family was nice enuf and food was gr8 defo go again

just got back last week, jimmys is basic and clean accomodation which is very central, 1 minute stoll to the beach and same again to the main strip, its set on a quiet street and has a supermarket on site which stocked everything under the sun. all the staff were very friendly and the bridges pool was excellent, very clean and run by a friendly family. they do excellent home made lunches we ate ther loads....would defo go back...x

Stayed in Jimmy's appartments first two weeks of july with my boyfriend and we loved it!!
Couldnt believe how close we were to the beach, you can actually see it from the hotel!! rooms were actually quite big with everything you need even a toaster!! pool was really good with a snackbar that serves everything you need.
Nightlife is amazing, loved G.Spot, Cocktails and dreams,rescues and zeros!!! and the best thing is you never need to catch a taxi home, after a wild night out a stroll across the beach and your home!!
Jimmys is in the perfect place for everything you could want, you really couldnt want for more!!!

Just got back and st time. Had a brilliant time! Jimmy's apartments are spot on and ideally located for night life, pool and beach. Arios pool is spacious with a good bar but a bit murky in water. tarted to use Californian beach pool with lovely water. Check out N Joy which is ran by Yannis and his mum. Great atmosphere, service, drinks and steak & onion sandwiches (his speciality). Ask him about the Elvis tribute show! On the beach there is an excellent beach bar called Fishery ran by a Scottish lady-great food and a huge range of drinks. Oor Wullie pub is great too with excellent cocktails (prepared by Dennis). Coctails & Dreams & Walkabout are great bars followed by one of the many Kebab outlets like Cozy's. Overall had a great time and definently would go back (maybe Oct).

Just got back from here yesterday and its the most friendly place I've been! The family that own it are really nice and the apartment was great! The location was brill...about 3 minutes from the strip and about 1 minute from the beach! The shop downstairs was great and had all the things you need. I would really reccommend this place if anyone is thinking of going to Laganas! Can't wait to get back out there ASAP! xxx

Brilliant location, Arios Pool about 3 seconds over the road, Supermarket with fans and safety deposit attatched to the side of the building, and about 3 minutes walk through to the main strip, loved it!

Visited in September 2002 - not too hot and a quiet end to the season. Nevertheless perfect timing for us as we had our three year old with us. Loads of restaurants nearby and the NJoy was so handy for late night ouzo and laughter. Thought I would miss not being able to do pub crawls but actually, it was the best holdiay I ever had. The Jimmys clan are all fantastic and it's the first time I have ever cried leaving a hotel! (Sap) Make it a rule not to go back to the same place but - hey - rules are made to be broken.
(Manos were pretty god too, if you're worried by other postings).

Can anyone help? Will Jimmy hire you a fan or should we take one with us? Have been to LAganas before and LOVE it-but VERY hot in August!Cant wait to go back 2003!

have these apartments got their own pool or do you have to go to another one in a different hotel?

This was my first time in Laganas but definately not my last. jimmys was in a great place, meant we could walk home alomg the beach after a night out, watch out for the cars and mopeds though, they seem to think its a road! Not impressed by the telling off we got for having sand in the appartment,it wasnt intentional! and the warning we got after the 3rd night was a bit harsh, but we loved Mrs Jimmy, even if she dint love us. The room was perfect for what we wanted it for, those few hours sleep and a shower. Not impressed by the huge lorries beeping there horns in the morning! a fan or air con would b great too, felt like i was sleeping in a sauna!

We didnt like Jimmys.....WE LOVED IT... the rooms are great for 2 would be a bit of a squeeze for 3!! Fridge is great...very usefull for make up, sun cream and of course booze storage. not much of a view but never mind, coz Jimmys is real close to the beach and night life, theres also a supermarket below and another just down the road, v. convenient! the maid is great! the airport may not be great but it serves the purpose and aint that far away. this year is our third year back at Jimmys and we totally reccommend it to EVERYONE!!
