Travelling to Vivian hotel on 24th Sept. Is the hotel and resort quieter then or is hotel still full of youngsters?

i stayed here n it was ace!! i loved it! the people thr was soo nice!! we loved pablo!! he tried to kick the lads out every nite!! comin in at 4/5 every nite he went mad at us!!!! n rosa was crazy! n steve got sacked!!!! gutted!!! ahh well, yeh good hotel loved it n hated leavin!!!!

Got back 3 weeks ago! And miss Zante already! Vivian is a nice place to stay, pool is clean and nice size, the bar is nice and apartments are nice as a whole... allthough the rooms are very basic and you have to shower with the toilet!? Your not right on the strip but is only ten mins walk down the road! The reps are really nice... definately go out with the 2wentys crew!! You'll definately have a top night out!

so yes....maybe a matress was thrown out a 3rd floor window on the first night, and yes a certain type of car took a crap off a balcony but i still felt it to be slightly harsh to be on the final warning on our second night. theres nothin more the greeks love then an argument and once they have enough they get the police involved. and they take no s**t! vivian (the devil) took a particular dislike to us because we were in a v.large group and decided to blame absolutely everything on us, even the sean paul 'jus gimme the light' on max. volume at 5 in the morning. furthermore their way of life is something slightly to be desired. their favourite hobbies included storming your room proper commando style and demanding your passports, only to scream at you when you ask why?? in that lovely romantic language that is greek. turks are so much better. the accomodation is reasonable and it is well situated to the strip. the cleaners love to wake you up in the mornin and the pool is good although they like throwning in the chlorine. a few tips before you head off:

1)bring a boom box!!! really important this one. and bring good selected of summer anthums

2)leave diabetics at home, especially albino ones.

Just arrived home yesterday 16th july 2006

ZANTE 06 was a complete mashup.  Appartments good location, wicked food and cocktails.  Was looking forward to see george but we wasnt there :O,   make sure ur quiet at nyt coz sum bald bloke lets himself into ur room and tells you to shut up.  if he does this report it to ur rep coz he aint allowed.  Vivvan is a really loud if you make to much noise and i swear her husband didnt change clothes all week.  1 of the staff hit my mate joey and the police were called up to our room 1 nyt, other than that its a gd hotel.  The cleaners r well rude n shout @ u if u stay in bed all day lol. had a wicked time.  Girlies next door 2 us get in contact or uve hit 'rock bottom' lol

We have stayed at these apartments 3 times and going again this year with the family.  If you all behaved the same way as your opinions its not suprising that you all got blasted for your behaviour.  Everytime we've gone we have had a great holiday even had bar staff and owner greek dancing on the bar.  Treat them well they will treat you well

every night we went out it was brilliant (im only 13) the beaches wer nice but the boattrip round the island was lame.
GEORGE (the security dude) was the best he was pureee funni i dont think he like ma cousin at first but afa 2weeks he liked them on our last night we signed his book it was grrr8

me and my 6 pals stayed here for the last two weeks and it looks well nice but vivian is a fukin nut. she shouted at us every day for no reason telling us to learn greek and if we took a bird bak sum bloke was hiding to tell us she couldnt c*m in.

we stayed ther for a week in August, it is a really nice hotel but the peeps working there were cocks.  When you cme back after a nite out George the bloke with a torch stuck to his hand starts shoutin in greek and shinning an industrial strength flash flight in your eye.

The cleaners are rude aswell, started throwin socks around our room on our first morning.

I am going to Vivian aparthotel on 31 July for 2 weeks with my fiancee and 11 year old son, i heard a lot of reviews saying it is overrun by 18-30's - can anyone tell me if this is the case and if we are still likely to enjoy ourselves??? I am only 29 by the way!!!!!

I have just come back from the Vivian. I think if you are quite young or are not with a family this is great hotel to go to. The pool is great and the pool bar does good food during the day and great cocktails anytime. The bar staff were really nice.

We stayed at the vivien apartments from 24th July to 7th June 2005.  We were booked into a studio apartment which is quite small with a balcony just big enought for a table and two chairs but when you are on holiday all you want is the sun and somewhere to sit.  We have been to Greece on numerous occasions and are used to the water situation in the bathroom but this was something else.  When we has our showers on the first morning the water was not just contained to the bathroom but spilled out into the area that we had to sleep.  We filled a form out for the rep but nothing was done. My partner complained to vivien who promised us more towels to soak up the water but to no avail.  After 4 days of living in a pool of water my partner asked the rep to move us.  She was brilliant and moved us straight away to a much bigger appartment that was meant for a family.  We had a shared balcony but hardly saw the people next to us.The pool at the vivien is lovely and they wash the pool area every evening including the sunbeds which i have to say there were loads of while we were there and no towels on them. Spiros the barman is lovely and has very good English.  My partner used to go and wait in the bar for me in the evenings while i was getting ready and have a laugh with him.  His girlfriend is expecting their second baby and he said they thought it might be twins if anyone knows can they let us know.  We did not hear vivien and did not see dennis although july and august may be different.  We read the comments on this site before we went and it was nothing like it although someone told us that there is a vivien hotel which is 18 to 30.  If Spiros is wondering who we are I am the little blond and my other half is the big bloke. You put a film in our camera and took a photo of us. Everything considered we had a lovely holiday and were out every night till at least 4 am sometimes later and we are 46 and 48.   Have a great holiday.

me and my boyfriend stayed At the vivian from the 15/08/04 to the 29/08/04 and thought the accommadation was'nt really up to standard it was very basic, but from the ouside it looks nice and so was the pool. iv read everyones comments on dennis and his big tourch but we didnt see him all the time we were their not even really late at night. We had one awful nite as there was a huge arguement between a boy and girl and it must of gone on from about three till five in the morning and no one broke it up no vivian shouting at them and most suprisingly no dennis. Over all the place was good as for us it was in a good location only a ten min walk to the beach or main strip. if i were to go back to laganas i would possibly look for a differnt accommerdation however i think that most of the hotels would prob have simular decor and basic style.

wat a bunch of fukin tossas runnin this place. c*m up to ur rooms swingin fukin bats at ur heads for makin to much noise. then theres vivian who screams and shouts from here room opposite at 5 in the mornin.

Hello, hope any 1 going to vivian in the next few days or weeks is reading this cause i hope u are. had a lovely time in zante but were we stayed was a bit of a night mare. rooms are standard, cleaners dont clean properly, morning sparos is very nice, night time sparos isnt, nikki is gorgeous and so is liz, vivian shouts at u and u cant understand a words she says, dennis is the man and theres 1 other guy who looks moody u need to watch out for hes after ur money, charged us for a cupboard we never broke and to be honest was broken before we got thhere so check everything ok to make sure it works or isnt broken already, apart from that have a good stay.

We went at the beginning of July and stayed over the road at the Elisa but used the apartments on our last day to get showered before we left and they were so much nicer, cleaner and bigger than the Elisa.

The pool was lovely and they served decent snacks and the strawberry slush was yum.

Watch out for the big boss woman who screams and shouts across the apartments, the entire family had an argument that lasted for about an hour, we all thought we heard the cleaner get a slap. Not nice for the cleaner but she kept the entire pool entertained!

Big shout to Spiros the barman who spent a fortnight trying to broaden my greek vocabulary bless him. Hope to see you in September.

Stayed at vivian in july this year with 3 other girls.It's about 10 mins walk from the main strip but a cab is only 4euros so if you're a bit worse for wear it's worth it! Poolbar is resonable, and although there are signs saying you can't eat or drink any food brought from other shops by the pool as long as you keep it quiet it's fine. Rooms were basic,with 2 beds and a sofa bed which were suprisingly comfortable.The air conditioning we had was crap but other peoples was alright.Overall, i was pleased with vivian, however watch out for spiros and the security guy who will smack you with a bat (or a BIG torch) if they don't like you!!

We loved the vivian apartments in an excellent location and everything was very clean. A big thanks to the bar staff who made the most excellent food and were very friendly.

Arrived back a few weeks ago, thought it was fantabulous. nice clean place, good location to beach, bars & restaurants. staff really friendly, and cleaners around all the time.The rooms were very basic. Pool area & bar was really good & food tops. the bar area was quiet at night, but there was reasonable entertainment provided- (jokioke- BBQ's & singers).
On one final note - just a quick shout out to all the volleyball squad. Come on you tigers.

Just got back on 17th Aug , 03 and to be honest was a bit dissapointed. Ours was a studio apartment on the groung floor and when we arrives the toilet seat was broke and the bed linnen and pillows were dirty. The pool was fine yet filled with chlourine and made your eyes sore. The pool side is very slippery and caught me out a couple of times. There are notices on your door saying that there should be n noise after 12pm but the pool bar staff never seamed to care about residents (young or old) and played there music until gone 2 most nights. Lagana is excellent itself and i will return but not to the vivian!!!!

not long back from Zante and we stayed at the Vivian.located on Kalamaki road they are close to the main strip but not too close that your caught up with the livley night life. The staff were friendly and the apartments ideal (cooking facilities weren't great but it doesn't matter as it's so cheap to eat out anyway) - basic but cleaned regulary. at this time of year Air conditioning is a must. some apartments have it some don't and at an extra 5 euro's a day it's worth it! clean, friendly and well maintained - I'll be back at the vivian guarenteed.

Easy to keep this one simple...Great place to stay.Great place to drink.Staff excellent.Will be back without a doubt.Thanks for the best holiday ever...

Not long returned from Zante. The Vivian apartments are great even though they are basic, cleaned on a daily basis it is in an ideal location, friendly staff, good snack bar, great pool even the pool is cleaned daily. Met some great friends every time, still keep in touch. My granddaughter is eight and she thought the place was brilliant the staff are very friendly towards children. The pool can be a bit sippery but no more than any other poolside, walk don't run is the answer. Going back to the Vivien next year for FOURTH time. Nice food in Friends just down the road.

JUST RETURNED FROM 2WEEKS WITH OUR 4YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. AFTER READING COMMENTS ON THIS SITE I WAS A BIT ANXIOUS ABOUT TAKING MY DAUGHTER...(slippy tiles,unfriendly staff...)DON`T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ! WE HAD A TERRIFIC HOLIDAY AND IT WAS A BIT SLIPPY AROUND POOL BUT NOT MUCH MORE DANGEROUS THAN ANY OTHER POOL. STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND WE MADE SOME LOVELY NEW FRIENDS. BAR A BIT OVER-PRICED AND THEY COULD EASILY TURN THE SPACE AT BACK INTO CHILDREN`S AREA.NEED MORE SUN PARASOLS NEXT TO POOL.NICE PLACE AND ZANTE IS BEAUTIFUL! ENJOY!!!

We have just returned from a week In Laganas and can not wait to go back.The clubs and bars are are fab,but a little pricey in zereos about 20 euros for 4 of us but worth it for the tunes,and the sound system and lights are the dogs do da's.You can even have a big mac at 2 am next door.Vivian hotel was O.K but its like going on holiday with your mamma,being told what to do.you felt you were being watched all the time.Big up yourself to angelo & theo.And who was the old man in a suit watching us when we returned every night Spooky.

OK WE HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM A WEEK HERE,YES IT IS JUST FAR ENOUGH AWAY FROM THE NIGHT LIFE ABOUT 20 MINS WALK FROM ZEREO'S ETC SO THERE IS NO NOISE FROM ANY OF THE CLUBS.THE ROOMS ARE VERY BASIC WHICH IS NO PROBLEM AS YOU DON'T SPEND YOUR HOLIDAY IN THEM,BUT THERE WAS NO SHOWER CURTAIN SO THE FLOOR FLOODED EACH TIME,AND THE LIGHT FITTING WAS HANGING OUT,WE WERE IN A GROUP OFF 12 AND HAD 6 ROOMS AND THIS WAS COMMON IN MOST OFF ROOMS.BUT WE GOT ON WITH OUR HOLIDAY WITH OUT COMPLAINING TO THE REPS WHO WERE A GOOD LAUGH,THERE IF YOU NEEDED THEM WITH NO HARD SELL.THE FOOD IS FAULTLESS AND VERY CHEAP,A FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST WAS ABOUT 4 EUROS 20 CENTS.ANGELO WORKED VERY HARD AND SEEMED TO DO MOST THINGS IN THE HOTEL A REAL ASSET,AND THEO THE BAR MAN WAS ALSO GREAT.NOW THE OWNER IS ON SITE MOST DAYS AS IS HIS MOTHER,AND HER HUSBAND WHO PATROLS THE HOTEL UNTIL LATE IN THE NIGHT WATCHING YOUR EVERY MOVE.ON OUR FIRST NIGHT AS THERE WAS 12 OFF US WE COULD NOT ALL SIT IN THE BAR TOGETHER SO WE SAT OUTSIDE,IT WAS ABOUT 11.45PM WHEN WE WERE HAVING A DRINK THAT ANGELO CAME TO SEE US LOOKING VERY EMBARASSED AND ASKED US IF WE COULD LAUGH NOT SO LOUD NOW HE HAD BEEN TOLD TO TELL US THIS IT WAS NOT HIS REQUEST.SO WE ALL WENT TO OUR ROOMS AND LISTENED TO THE LAUGHTER FROM THE INSIDE OF THE BAR UNTIL 1.00AM.THE NEXT THING IS YOU MUST NOT DISRESPECT YOUR HOST BY BRINGING FOOD BACK TO THE HOTEL AND EATING IT OUTSIDE,THE SIGN SAYS THEY DO EVERYTHING,BUT THE KITCHEN CLOSED AT 5.00PM WHILE WE WERE THERE SO WE HAD TO GET FOOD FROM OUTSIDE.AND WE WERE TOLD TO GO INTO OUR ROOMS TO EAT OUR MEAL DIFFICULT WHEN THERE IS ONLY 1 CHAIR AND NO TABLE IN THE ROOMS.SO REALLY ITS NOT A BAD PLACE ITS WHO RUNS IT THE GUY WHO THINKS HE IS THE FONZ ON A HARLEY DAVIDSON LOOKALIKE,SO THE REST OF OUR FUNDS WERE DISTRIBUTED AROUND MANY OFF THE GREAT GREEK RESTAURANTS HIS LOSS OUR GAIN.NOW EVEN THOUGH WE WERE THERE OCT 8 TO 15 WHILE RETURNING FROM ZEREOS THE ROADS ARE CROWDED WITH CARS AND MOPEDS FLYING UP AND DOWN,WHEN WE HEARD A SKID A YOUNG BRIT HAD BEEN HIT HEAD ON WITH ONE OFF THESE BIKES AND KNOCKED OUT COLD,AFTER A COUPLE OFF MINS BECAUSE HE WAS NOT MOVING SOME GREEKS WERE TRYING TO PULL HIM AWAY FROM THE ROAD LIKE A RAG DOLL LUCKILY HE HAD NO NECK OR BACK OR ARM INJURIES AND BEGAN TO COME AROUND.WE KEPT HIM DOWN AND TOLD HIM NOT TO MOVE AND CALLED FOR A AMBULANCE.BUT THEN JUMPED UP AND RAN DOWN THE ROAD LIKE LINFORD,IF YOUR READING THIS MATE HOPE YOUR OK AND YOUR ONE LUCKY S.O.B AFTER 30 MINS STILL NO SIGN OF AMBULANCE.SO BE WARNED.......

I visited The Vivian Apartments the first two weeks of August, we had a great holiday, the apartments are basic but clean, pool area is kept very clean but be careful as area is very slippy, the owners were a bit strange wandering around in the middle of the night. Pool bar reasonably priced for snacks and food was nice. Overall quite a nice complex.

We have just returned from Zante, and although the place was very clean, the staff were rude, and didnt make any effort. We went as part of a big party, and half of the children, came away with Bruises from falling on the tiles, just from walking, so if you have young children, need to watch them.The bar shuts at 1.30pm (should be 2pm) and they kick you out of the pool at 6.30pm (should be 7pm). The place of Zante is lovely, and would def go back, but not sure if I would go back to these apartments. not very friendly towards children

i though it was brill accomidation, the pool was gr8, rooms were basic but thats all you need it was also in a gr8 spot to get to the clubs but not to close !! Theo the barman is a right laugh and has lovely eyes(and bum)

staying across the road meant it was great for breakfast/ lunch and also just to recover at before starting the drinking there in the evening Red hot chilli peppers always on, french mtv is crap, and the people that choose to stay there are worth a look

just returned from laganas after having a great holiday! these apartments are very well maintained and in an excellent position for enjoying the resort. theo the barman is top class (dry or what!!!) i would book here again without any hesitation 10 out of 10 ! see you next year

apartments nice from outside very basic inside. Andreas behind the bar did not like children, as they could not breath after 11pm, pool nice but edges and stairs very slippy.Bar VERY VERY expensive the feeling of being ripped off, felt sorry for tony the albianian dogs body. air con 60 euros per 14 days , but found out how to work it with out the remote i.e with out them knowing so we told the other guests, but other than that all ok , maid service not to good but friendly. Not allowed to tske own drinks/food around the pol even though its self cetering.

i wouldn't know about the rooms but the pool we had to use because we were in the elisa over the road which has no pool the vivian pool was o.k but i think there was a touch too much chlorine in it cuz it made my eyes sting.

My wife and I spent two weeks at the vivian from the 2nd of October to the 16th 2001. We expected the weather to be changeable but infact it was in the 90's for the whole two weeks of our stay. Accomodation basic,suggest you take your own kettle and mugs. No cooker in room, apart from a mini stove(crap!) Walls and ceilings very thin, so don't expect to get much sleep especially if the person/s above decide to scrape their chairs along the floor . Pool area and bar good,recommend the sausage and chips.very quiet in the evenings, it is best to venture out along to the many bars and restaurnts. Two weeks was too long,would suggest one week is long enough to spend in Zante. Watch out for the short runway on landing(Braise yourself!) Not much to do on island unless you like all water sports.

this place was quite good... it would have been better if we weren't staying at the bozikis studios across the pool. impossible if you want an earlyish night, music was far too loud for the size of the bar, quite often there were a**eholes skinny dipping at 4am.... but the cocktails were nice and the staff friendly.

Great location just far enough to sober up on the way home! Paid for B & B Toast and Tea that was it! A few gripes about the cleanliness.....no change of towels or bed linen in a week! My mate got an electric shock from the spotlight and locked in the bathroom cos the lock had broke! All for £370 not bad hey?

The best pub to chill out and get drunk in. The bar staff Damian and Dennis will make up any drink to suit your taste and/or make you fall over! We have now added a Scotland flag to the walls and will be checking up that it stays there. Thanks for an ace holiday guys!

It is now 00:52 and we got back to england @ 11:15 after spending 2 weeks at the vivian. Say hello to the two mad barmen Theo & Craig. They are really grown up apart from their water pistol fights and ice throwning games! Good place. But the pool isn't that good. The calcium levels are too high and will make your eyes sore, your skin wrinkle and will rott your shorts etc...! Bit expensive: Amstel in shop: 300 drx Amstel in vivian: 600 drx, budweiser: 1200drx After Shock: 1000drx - Also, keep away from the jack daniels! it isn't real and tastes like s*it! But apart from that, It's a good place. Lee Cheshire

I think this is the same one that we went to, where John (who sadly left) and Dennis were the bartenders. If it is, very good bar for a pre-all night dance and drinking session. Don't drink "Sex in the Pool" ABSOULTLEY LETHAL!! Sorry for stumbling around with that Roman helmet on and crashing into the back bar and the bottles. Not big and not clever. Did have the mother of all hangovers the next day to pay for it though. Also, there are signs now saying "No using the pool after 9.30" "Do not use the pool under the influence of alchohol" This was because someone.er...ahem...decided to go skinny dipping with a bar full of people watching. Mentioning no names - alex, fay and caroline. Anyhoo, good bar, but like I said for pre-allnighters. Staff are lovely as well! and Damien will defiently entertain you!!!!

JUST SPENT 2 WEEKS IN LAGANAS -THE VIVIAN WAS PERFECTLY PLACED TO GET THE BEST FROM RESORT. STAFF FRIENDLY-VERY WELL ORGANISED ACCOMMODATION!!!

Great un-measured cocktails!! Once we were planning a massive bar crawl but ended passing out by the pool!! Most night splash pool bar are great to hang out or to start drinking if you were to go on a bar crawl! One or twice a week the pool bar hosts a movie night - only tfor those who are still recovering from the night before!!

Returned yesterday after 2 weeks there and cant wait to return. There was a full range of age groups from young children to retired people. The rooms were basic but clean. The staff were freindly and I recommend the Sunday night Barbeque.
