Rose Club Apartments

We really enjoyed our stay and the Rose Club, Pandy was great, the pool is perfect and on the whole it's a cracking place to stay, so clean, well equiped and just off the main strip in Laganus is an ideal location. We were there from 7th June 07 and felt totaly welcome met some great people, you have got to do the BBQ on the Saturday night! The best bits were the people we met,  hiring the pedelos and seeing 5 large turtles in 1hr plus the Alfa and Mythos beer aint bad either!

If I go back to Zante I will go back to the Rose Club!

hi all ,just want to say if you go to rose club you will have a great time, they are all great its so clean and verea the maid is a darling, pandy will make your holiday with his cheeky charm and his friendly way of insulting you he is great , for a self catering base it is near everything , stinkys bar will miss the rose club and we will be back , pandy was great with the little one and she came away loving him and she is only 18 months old he won her round completly. we had a great time thanks to all the staff [ all 3 of them [met some great people hi to betty and john brian and gemma , paul and everyone else, hope to see you all again one day , go to the rose club you wont be dissapointed thanks pandy love lynn and rest at stinkys bar x x x

Just got back from the Rose Club in Laganas, what a wicked holiday!! definatley recommend the place, Pandy and Marinos are great blokes, they made our holiday extra special and a big thanx to Vera the cleaner!! Excellent location only 5 mins walk to main strip so you don't hear any noise, the place is very clean. We will definatly be back ASAP!! missing the place like mad!! See you next year Uncle Pandy so be ready!!

I wonder if anybody can help me, I stayed over the road in the Katarina Apartments a few years back, I'[m lookin to come back to Laganas this summer and would love to stay at either the Rose Club or Katarina unfortunately I cannot find them in any brochures does anybody know what company I can book through for either of these apartments

another bang on time again  . 5 times now and will be back next year if only to get some pillok off pandy! but really its a spot on place which is only 2-3 mins from the main strip and 10 mins fron the beach

Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Rose Club apartments from the 3rd- 17th August.  They were basic but very clean and in a great location although off a busy road.  We had a great time in Laganas, the bars and clubs are great and the excursions are really good to see the island.  We will definately return.

We met some really nice people. Alex and Emily we never got your number so if anyone can help?

Just arrived back today after spending the last two weeks at the Rose Club Appartments, My family and I are completely baffled at some of the comments left by people.

I was also one of the 3 girls, 3 guys party from the bottom floor (hi emma and peach!)

totally agree with the comment by jackie.   just curious, were you one of the two blonde girls on the top floor (i was one of the girls in the party of 3girls and 3guys on the bottom floor from the 13th to the 20th of july)

My lady friend and I, along with her 2 teenagers and their 4 friends, were at Rose Apartments (Club) during July 2006. Although the apartments are only a few minutes walk away from ‘the strip’ virtually no noise could be heard at night. For the uninitiated ‘the strip’ is a half mile stretch of road consisting almost exclusively of lively &  loud bars & clubs – an amazing place. Rose Club is set on a gently sloping hillside & the surrounding area is peaceful & rural. A corner shop is within 2 minutes walk & sells everything  you would  need within reason – very good English spoken here. ‘Street children’ often congregate near this corner shop in the small hours of the morning & they can be very insistent as they beg for money so be careful. I’ve been told that these street kids are not Greek. Both outdoor swimming pools are maintained to an exceptionally high standard & chemically treated every night so night skinny-dipping is a no-go, best to ask staff when the pools can be safely used. The bar is well stocked & an impressive selection of bar snacks & meals is available. What really stood out was the cleanliness: litter is swiftly dealt with & each room is  cleaned & tidied every day. Bed linen & towels are replaced daily. Not surprisingly mosquitoes etc are around at night so plug-ins & repellent are useful. Cooking facilities consists of 2 electric hot plates so making toast is dodgy but not impossible. A small safe is in each room & can be hired for E10 per week.  The staff ie Marinos, his son Dennis and Pandy (very good English speaker) are very friendly & accommodating & Maria the cleaner/maid (who always seems to be smiling) is really conscientious & thorough. The apartments are about 300 metres from the coach drop-off point ie the corner shop so luggage with wheels helps. Both safety & security are well addressed & apartment doors/locks & safe are to a high specification. The dawn chorus is pretty loud but what can we expect - this is the countryside! The toilet & washing & shower facilities are basic but adequate. The temperature control of the shower has a mind of its own and water comes out at whatever temperature it feels like. All electricity used is included in the price of the holiday. Damage to furniture etc does have to be paid for and is not cheap (see notice in apartment).  As Rose Apartment staff/management have no say in who stays there, it would be unfair to comment on the behaviour of anyone staying at the apartments. It’s pot luck I suppose but remember this is Laganas and not an oil painting master class in the Outer Hebrides!  All the best pubs/bars -  the more atmospheric ones that do not sell watered down spirits & cocktails eg ‘Shooters’ ‘4play’ ‘Captain Morgan’ ‘Chicago Café/Rock’ ‘Cream Bar’ are within walking distance of Rose Apartments as is the superb ‘Hayiata‘ Restaurant (on Sarakina Street  at the Mini Golf corner which is on the left just past the Go Kart place on Laganas Main Road). The ‘Hayiata‘ does the BEST VEGETARIAN & VEGAN FOOD  IN LAGANAS and offers an impressive menu whilst ‘Shooters’ on the Kalamaki  Road (owned & run by veggie & vegan ex-pats) has a very good selection of V&V bar food. The bus to Kalamaki (cost E1.10) & Zante Town etc stops a short walk away from the apartments ie just opposite the Go Kart place: ATM is on this corner too. Would we go back to Rose Apartments? Definitely.

My friend and I have just returned from a week at the Rose Club apartments, and we would never return!  The rooms are very basic and the bathroom left a lot to be desired.  The location though is excellent and the pool and range of bar food/drinks are very good.  Manos (the owner) is a lovely man,quiet but helpful.  Word of warning: this place is better for groups of men, as one certain employee enjoys taking advantage of women especially when returning on their own after a night out.  Complaint has been made, but always return in groups girls.

After coming back from a week with my friends there i must say the appartment is great very clean and tidy with a very clean pool and a very decent bar with a good selection of beers, food and cocktails unfortunatly the only problem i had was the shower which is just a joke.  Also we had some wa*kers there which kept us up but oh well if you go its a god place to stay the hotel and the resort.

we have just returned from a 2 week stay and we loved it marinos the boss is a kind gentle bear of a man who treated my son like his own pandy i found to be a hard working man commited to making your stay at the rose club the best . I found the whole holiday great i recomend any one of all ages   

My wife and i spent two weeks staying at the rose club leaving on 01/06/06 .It is an excellent place to stay,It is away from the main road which is full of bars clubs and restaraunts, but only 5 minutes walk away .The owner Manoris and his sidekick Pandi  are very friendly and helpful> The rooms are kept spotless as are the pool and bar areas. We would definately go back there again.

FANTASTIC!!

Just got home after staying at the Rose Club for 2 weeks and really liked the place. After reading all the comments we were a bit worried about staying there, but we need'nt have been.Had a lovely time it was a shame to go home I would recommend the place for anyone looking  for a relaxing time and in walking distance from the beach, shops and resturants.

I have just come back from here ( 2 Adults Age 35ish and 2 Kids Ages 11,9).

 I would recommend this place and will be returning.

My wife and I stayed here for the first 2 weeks in October 2004. We did not mind the walk to the "local attractions" but the trip to the beach / Cameo Island etc was a bit far. Did not appreciate being dropped off by the bus and expected to drag our cases from the shop on the corner! We found it fairly quiet and a great base if you liked to go off and explore. We felt the cleaner should have done our rooms every day (perhaps we expect too much) but be warned - if you run out of loo roll, you must buy your own.

Not a bad place to stay, but you can get cheaper beers down the "strip". Our friends accidentaly burnt a towel (don't ask!) and the boss charged 20 Euros...a bit expensive if you ask me!!! The BBQ was also an interesting affair where the entertainment consisted of the owner dancing around the junior pool with a few other guests...hhmmmm.

Oh, nearly forgot to mention the dawn corus as you have chickens / cockrels AND turkeys on three sides and they never fancy a lie in!

Yes they are, the only problem I found with the apartments was the behaviour of some of the t***s that have made nasty comments here, yes I remember them well the bunch of to**ers. I made sure my children annoyed them as much as possible in the day to try to compensate for them keeping us awake all night. The owners were really nice but were just sick of having their apartments wrecked by a bunch of jerks. The owner Bruno showed me their room when they left and I have never seen anything like it. Bruno only treated them the way he did because of the way they all swore and abused him every evening. The place is nice it's just the other guests you may have problems with.

This is to Stuart Bell, which tour operator did you go with cause if it is Manos you should write a letter of complaint, as they are looking into the dodgy goings on at that place with the owners and their appauling behaviour!!

the hotel was in a fairly good location regarding the main bar street, the rooms themselves were ok sometimes rooms werent cleaned but that was due to the time of day that we got out of bed. the main problem with the resort was the total a**ehole owners who continually blamed things on us as we were the only group of men at the resort, the short one which we nicknamed rectangle told us that we were the worst english people he had ever met because we kept playing cards outside our room whilst having a few drinks b4 going out and he sed the cleaners didnt want to clean it up even tho its their job then he held me and another m8 to randsom wen we were trying to go home as he blamed us for an already broken picture frame and demanded 25 euros which we did not have on us as the people which had that amount of money were already on the coach on the way to the airport he said we were f**king idiots who ruined his business and that he was going to get the police to throw us in jail! overall avoid this like the plague its awful, ps the pool is filthy with insects etc

Avoid if you havent already booked, especially if you are a couple or a family!! Stayed here for 2 weeks and what a mistake! The cleanliness of the apartments was terrible, there were hairs on the floor, bed, sink, shower and over the already disgustingly dirty kitchen units! when we complained to the rep the midget greek owner shouted at us that we should not have involved the rep and should go straight to him if we had any problems, obviously because they have been warned about this and their attitude towards customers before, the rep was less than impressed by his attitude towards her and us and made a report to Manos for us. Other guests heard about our compalint and also said that the cleanliness of their rooms were not up to standard but did not complain, thats ok I suppose if your not used to a decent standard of living!! We also got chatting to an english girl working in their pool bar who told us that they do not even wash their dishes properly to save on washing up liquid and used threatening behaviour towards her several times if she failed to make guests stay at the pool bar!! On top of those sh** heads we had to put up with some inbreds from DERBY (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!) making noise from 12pm till around 3pm every night, I was glad when we were leaving as more little charmers were moving in to the apartments in the form of some mentally challenged scottish blokes who were bragging about how on their first night they had already beaten someone up!!! Obviously if you have any sense avoid like the plague, otherwise if midget men with attitude and intellectually challenged meatheads float your boat, good luck on your holiday your gonna need it!!

Stayed for a week in June. Nice apartments shame about the owner, and his little greek sidekick who never liked us - probably something do do with all us four stoke lads skinny dipping in the pool at 3am on the first night!!!!!!! Just say hello to Laura who was nice (english!!). Anyway, good enough apartments in a really good location.

Absolutely loved it here. The owners were very nice and knowledgable on the island. BBQ night was good fun with food & dancing. The apartments are far enough from main strip so that when you do go back to sleep you can. Wonderful would recommend to couples/friends and small families.

Well Myself & 3 mates stayed here in May the same time as Katrina and had such a great time, so much so that 3 of us are going back in October for another 2 weeks. I second everything katrina said I would recommend it to anyone. 12 weeks and counting !! P.S Katrina are you still keeping in contact with Richard ?

I ventured away on my own to escape the boring and wet UK, Ive been before but many years ago. Everyone was really friendly i could not of chosen a better place to stay. Whilst the rooms are basic, nothing is too much trouble for the guys who run the bar. Good pool, free sunbeds, only 10 mins walk from the strip, what more could you want??? apart from a nice rep to keep you company of an evening!!!!

Gr8 place to stay, near to the strip so not too far a walk in them high shoes girls yet far enuff away to get a good nights sleep. Staff there are very friendly and welcomin, gr8 location and a top place to stay

Great place if you want to be near the main strip but far enough away from all the noise - only 5 minutes away from the strip, about 10 from the beach. Room basic but clean, the shower is very basic with limited hot water but that's pretty common everywhere! Quite a small pool but they're aren't many rooms so ok.
