Laganas Hotel

Hey,  Me n 6 single mates are going to hotel laganas on the 24th of june for 2 weeks is anyone else going then? Cant wait! Has anyone been to this hotel b4 is it anygood what the rooms like any cooking facilities or fridges etc?  

Hey, stayed at laganas in oct '04, has a gr8 time, the hotel was good didn't have much to do with reps coz it was nearly end of season!!!! the only thing I would say that its abit of a walk to the main strip, which u wouldn't expect from a freestyle holiday, but it was ok 2 stagger back every night!!!! we loved zeros the guys were lovely and we loved dancing on the bars!!!!

me and friend went on a thomson freestyle holiday to this hotel and loved very single minute of it. We have never felt so welcome. The night life is amazing and the reps are fantastic. You have to go to medousa on the strip, dancing on the bar is a must!!!!!

Cherry bay is a close second with its cheese but its a fantastic place to go.

As for teh reps....Niel...Carlos.....Your quality!!! You made our holiday!!!

hotel laganas, in my opinion is an ideal place for a lads/girls holiday, it's got a 24hr bar for one!, what more can you ask for! the rooms are basic, as long as you have a bathroom and a bed who cares! one down side i think is that there is no air conditioning, aftre a pretty hard night out and not getting in till like 7am you tend to wake up then about mid day, and as you can apriciate is mega hot and uncomfortable! although you can hire fans, which ease the intensity of the heat somewhat! it has a reasonable sized pool and was deep, 11ft or something! if you want to eat out and line your stomach for the night ahead, try captain morgans, not far from the hotel heading towards the strip, awsome portions, and quite cheap, or also there giorgios which is really good, again down towards the strip on the right hand side. the rep (fat boy!!!) in our opinion, was a t**t, he only really spoke to you if you had breasts, he wants to go to mexico next year he said, after the amount of negative feed back i got from other people, i think the isle of wight beckons for him i'm afraid!! if i were to go again i wouldn't pay to go on any of the excursions, i.e the bar crawl, it's 10 euros basically for them to tell you where to go, i would just follow the crowd, as they don't know any different as to who's paid or not as there was so many people and they say you get a free shot blah blah blah, but you do in most bars!! the booze cruise was ok, seen a few turtles etc. but that gets a bit monotonous. according to the rep, every where we went was the best place either in the world or on the island, and everything we done we broke the world record! i'm sure the word rep must mean repetative! but all in all it was a good crack!

Just got back from our stay at Hotel Laganas (June 2004). Went with Thomson Club Freestyle and was pleasantly surprised. The apartments were basic as you would expect but very clean. The cleaners came in everyday around 10.30 which was time to get up for the beach anyway. There was a shower curtain, shower holder and mats on the floor next to the beds which was a nice touch as never had these when i've stayed in Greece before. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We went bed and breakfast, the breakfast was basic continental (toast, jam, orange, cornflakes, tea or coffee and bread. Food was served at the bar and also a 24 hour reception, fan rental and security deposit boxes for €12-€14 per week. They also served crisp which was ideal for late night munchies! Its not far from the airport so its worth getting a taxi and save on coach transfer. We paid approx €11-€13 there and back. Its a 10 minute slow walk (turn right and right again out of hotel) from the beach but there's a bar/cafe and a shop on the way which is handy and about the same for going out but there are loads of bars on the way to the main strip. Night time was a bit noisy at times when people coming home but its a young and lively hotel so wouldn't expect any less. The pool was average size and very clean. We went for meals out most nights although they serve snacks at the hotel bar. The rep didn't mither once or try to sell us anything. He was very helpful and friendly and there if we needed him. We were very impressed having been on an 18-30s previously and got knocked up etc. I would definitely stay there again if i went back to Lagana. We went to Casa Grecque which was nice the PR Pat was lovely, very helpful with my sunburn! Also ate at SpaghettoMania next door but cannot say I was impressed. Went to Ruby for a chinese and Romios italian which is highly recommmended.

Went to zante (Laganas) in October 2003 and it was brilliant, stayed at the hotel laganas it is very basic but clean, the maids were in everyday to tidy the rooms and change the sheets and towels. The pool was the biggest one we had seen in the hole of laganas and it was clean. They have a 24/7 bar it is the only one on the hole of the island the drinks are more expensive here as it is open all night. With this been the only 24/7 bar the hotel can become more noisy after the clubs shut. The breakfasts are very basic (continental)?? they were ok, but watch out for the wasps there are loads of them around the breakfast area and pool. The location is alright to, it is just a 5 minute walk from the beach but about 15 minutes from the main night life. This hotel is more for a livley holiday.

Just booked holiday to Laganas at Hotel Laganas. Going on Friday 2nd July for 2wks. Heard so many good things the place is under pressure to live up to expectation! What is the hotel like? What is the nightlife like? On the subject of nightlife, I am into cheesy, indie and rock music - That sort of genre. Is there anywhere that caters for this style of music? Cheers!

decent hotel, the cleaners are pests for waking you up. you are a 10 minute walk from the nightlife. (others bars are shi*e on the way) apollon restaurant first left, follow the road, quality food, good prices. all the bars are good, they close at 12, but have sound proof doors that pull out, so it just carries on.the rooms are basic, got what you need, the showers are tiny. PETROS "MUFF DIVER,CAPTAIN NOISY, DO YOU MASTERBATE?,COCK A COLA." funny fella, only works nights. (24 hr bar)cracking pool,in all, a top place. a water park opened today, the day we left,WELL PISSED OFF !!!

mcdonalds is s**t here! dont bother! go to cozy corner instead!

well, the hotel was ok, a bit basic but you're never in there anyway! petros (the barman) was funny! pool was nice but leaves nasty yellow colour on anything that goes in it! (too much chlorine!!) pool bloke cant speak any english and doesnt care anyway!

location was good...bit of a walk to main strip but taxis were cheap! i liked cocktails and dreams and cherry bay best of all. go to www.cherrybay.com and look at the website.

foodwise, dont go to fatsos its crap! well, thats not the word!! when we were in laganas there was a bar strike because all the bars have to kkep to the music down after 12 and they closed medousa, one the big bars for 20days. its a stupid rule, the sooner they sort it out the better!

quietness: apart from all the pissheads coming back at 6am, its not too bad. but if you do get back at 6am then some b***h starts kicking your door screaming "clean the room" tell her p**s off and do it tomorrow! the try to get in the room as well so leave your key in the lock to p**s them off!!

if you want to get about, some of the loads rented a moped. its well cheap! dont forget yr driving licence!!

Hey me and my best mate are thinking of booking this hotel for 10 days in sept but bit worried as its with freestyle that it may b full of well young teenagers? Hi to everyone who was at hotel Laganas from 11th july to 18th july! We just got back, and i am going to be spending quite a few days recovering from all the alcohol! Had great time. Meet some great people and had a really fab time. Make sure you forward me the photos dan!

Me and my mate stayed in this hotel in May and although the season was only just starting it was brilliant. The hotal is really nice, very clean, bar and reception open 24 hours which is handy. But be aware of some man who has the tendency to come in your room and unplug your music if you blast it like us at 6 in the morning! Beach is only 5 mins away if you turn right out the hotel and don't do what we done and walk all the way round. Night life is excellant and only about 15 mins away or about 2 mins if you jump on the back of some ladz scooter! All in all an excellent holiday and it doesn't matter were yoiu stay you'll have a brill time! And you should defo go to rescue club it's boss, me and my mate are on the website 'dancing on the bar' and 'damn sexy ladies' you should look at the websute, rescueclub.net. Were going back as soon as we can!

Yes they do still hav them.. well they did in May anyway!! they r still in the reception bit.. and r big enought 2 hold the important stuff.. (eg passport, money etc.) but not alot else!!

The rooms are basic as are all the Greek places. There are two sets of Apartments blocks both have 2 floors which face each other. The rooms have a built in wardrobe, chair, table and beds. The balconies have 1 table and 2 chairs. The apartments are not attached to the main reception area but are just of to the right. This is great hotel for partying and has very large pool with plenty on sun beds. There is a lane to the left of the Hotel which takes you straight to the beach. Just down the road is a small cabin which sells drinks, fags and booze etc....

Oh It is a 15 minute walk to McDonalds

we are staying here in 4 weeks and would like to know a bit more about the rooms, anyone with information please email back a.s.a.p
And if anyone has got any info on the best bars at the moment that would be fab

this year will be our 3rd year of going to Zante.each time we have stayed in Laganas highly recommend it for families and singles and couples something for everyone the nightlife is heaving locals lovely beach and sea great weather just perfect.

There are so many places to go in Laganas, make your way down the street to all the bars and my favourite club was Cherry bay, you will have a great time!

Three of us went to this hotel 27/07/01 - 10/08/01. Oh my God we had the best holiday of our lives. Although the hotel is a bit of a walk from the pubs it makes up for it!!! Everone we met were fantastic and we would go back in a flash. We certainly had "THE TIME OF OUR LIFE" Can't wait to go back. If you're thinking about booking htis don't think just book!!!!!

By the way, I am the one with the other lads from Manchester. You may remember my mate Bez or Mike with that ginger girl from Newcastle (Louise) or Spuggie as we now know her.

It was excellent, best holiday ever and the plafce we stayed in although quite a way from the town centre was just beltin! Gotta say Hi to Elaine Bliss, probably won't remember me by name but maybe in other ways ;op Hi to Nottingham lads, we will come and whoop yo asses at football so don't think you've got away with it. We can have a night out round Nottingham too with you lot getting sloshed! Add more comments, it's good to talk!

Came back from Zante 2weeks ago stayed in Hotel Laganas! Had a fantastic time, would definitely recommend it. Just like to say Hi to all the bar staff in Hotel Laganas, who kept us going until the early hours!! Hi to da boys in Nottingham, can't wait to see u again! The three scouse girlies

Cracking time there. Went at start of July. Weather great and main bars etc only 10-15 minutes walk with restaurants and various bars on the way. The beach was great, and the pool was pretty big. Big hello to Jenny and Wayne.

Six of us went to Laganas hotel first two weeks of July and we all loved it. All the staff were really friendly, the apartments clean and the pool a decent size. The nightlife was just ten minute walk away and the girls were beautiful.

Mark - Laganas in August will be very lively in the centre and some people may find the behaviour offensive. Laganas is quite a large resort though, and there is plenty to do/see without going into the resort centre.

Im going to Laganas in August with my wife and three daughters we will be stayiny at the hotel Ikaros.Im a concerned that both the resort and hotel might not be suitable for families follins some of the things I have read. Can anyone advise please.

J T - you can get some road noise, but it is not a busy road, especially late at night. If this hotel is still with Thomson Freestyle, then yes it is a party atmosphere most nights!

Cheers Rimmer. So it sounds like a good place to stay. Good party atmosphere? What are the noise levels like (some stuff I've read says there's a lot of traffic noise). Late night partying then?

J T - no a/c in rooms, but you can hire fans in resort. 15 mins walk to resort centre, but there are many bars / restaurants on the way. Beach is about 5 mins walk, but most guests stay at the great pool area.

Does the Hotel have air conditioning? How far from the beach/bars?

Shaun - Bozikis is only 5-10 mins walk to the beach via the harbour, but about 30-40 mins to the Hotel Laganas, which is at the other end of the resort!

Me and my friend stopped here in october 2000 and we enjoyed it alot! Even so that we are going back there in july 2001. Im sure that achill will enjoy laughing at us strolling, or should i say falling through the door way at night v.drunk!

I went here in may and want to go back coz its so coooooooooooool.The bar man Akil is a real laugh and the manager Dakkis is a little sweetheart.see you all again in may
