yo yannis!!!!!!!!!!!!!! told you we would comment. we got back from garden palace two weeks ago. missing it like hell. this place was sooooooo good we just wanted to stay. all the staff especially yannis are great. i can't believe the rest of you guys on here could say such s**t about him. (pete says hi yannis and he's missing you and your 24 hour bar like crazy.) 16 of us went in sep 2004 and had almost the whole place to our selves. well one floor anyway. the night life is brill, the pool is brill, the rooms are brill, the food is brill, the bars are brill, the shops are brill and peter the younger barman is fit as f**k! he may be a ladies man but genuinley nice with it. famous footballer don't ya know!!!

if your going to zante this has to be where you stay and if you do say hi to them all from the unforgetable feathers 16!

p.s watch out for yannis's deadly flash light. : )

Just got back from garden palace on the 26th September and it was boss(very good). The rooms are lovely and has everything you need whilst on ya hols. We stayed there for 2weeks and loved every min. U must try the special burgers.....YUMMY!! Snoopy (Denise's pup) is sooo cute. Big hello to Kate, Stu, Rich and Alex.

HELLO MIKE, YES THERE IS A FRIDGE, THE ROOMS ARE BASIC BUT CLEAN AND ANYWAY WHO GOES ON HOLIDAY TO SPEND IT IN THEIR ROOMS?? AND THE STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME HOPE YOU ENJOY!!

Further to your addition on the website, i can confirm there is no air conditioning in the rooms, BUT you can hire a fan for €15 per week (thats how much it cost us last week, but not sure if the prices will go up for next year!)You can also have the use of the saftey deposit box for the same cost!

Towels are changed on a tues/wed and Sunday!

Thinking of booking up Garden Palace Aparts for next June (2005). Can anyone tell me if there is Air Condition or Fans to rent, do they supply bath towels and do they have an email address?

My Husband and I have just returned from the Garden Palace with couple of friends, we only booked a week and wished we had booked a fortnight.

Yannis, Akis & their families are fantastic hosts. We loved the atmospehere, everyone is so friendly and the hotel is very clean (the pool in particular), the rooms are very basic, but hey, who spends time in their rooms whilst on holiday!!!

The apartments are in a perfect location and within easy walking distance to everything thats important on a holiday, Beach, Bars & Restaurants (plenty to chose from).

For anyone visiting Zante, you MUST try the Mythos Beer & Chicken Gyros (a perfect way to end a night out down the strip)!!

We will definately be returning and staying at the Garden Palace.

yannis is a great host he looks ater his guests very well we stayed there aug 2004 and have booked to go back next year. akis and denise are friendly and always asking if everything is okay and they also look after there guests very well. we have never stayed in a place where the staff have been so freindly. it was the best holiday we have had. Had a great time here, we were 4 adults and 2 kids and it really suited us as there was plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby so you didn't have to go to the main street which is really lively/young (unless you want to)!! Beach is lovely really good for kids. Denise, Yannis etc were really nice and made us feel very welcome!!

Peter is a major flirt and got on particulary well with 1 of us !!! The pool and hotel were always clean and it was a lovely place 2 stay ! We r already plannin on comin back nxt year so watch out !

i went to the garden palace 2years ago, there was a whole group of us, 25 in all and it was fantastic! we met loadsa great people Matt, Dan and blue haired chris!! the family were great though they did start a fight with some blokes who climbed into our room at night! yannis was a crack up and can i say peter and his best mate dennis are such flirts!! with their little red mopeds thinking they were really cool LOL! i'm going back there next year with some mates and really cant wait! here we come peter....

me and wor lass have just spent a week at the garden palace in laganas{13-20 june 2004(room 24}}if akis or yiannis are reading.wot can i say,absolutely cracking chilled out hol.accomodation brill,yiannis funny[doesnt like albanians much]akis chilled and friendly,denice v.nice breakfasts always a smile,little denice a gem[think she quite liked turtle key-ring we gave her]cant remember names of akis and yiannis' other halves but they were always there to help[and make v.tasty omellete & chips]the bulgarian cleaner even spoke to us.must'nt forget peter,canny bloke,loved the vodka,baileys&cointreau cocktails yammas.would seriousley recommend this accomodation to anyone going to zante.as for the resort weather roasting,food tasty&plenty,beer cheap mostly amstel,restaurants,bars,tavernas all good mostly clean[watch out for the annoying small gipsy looking lady on left hand side of road[down past travellers rest]selling cruises,theres only so much u can take before being nasty.finally would like to say thanx to kurt[kosmar rep]and say hello to his lass from birtley[howay tha toon]cheers yiannis&co,see u in the future.....

Everything about the Garden Palace was fab!If anyone says anything bad about it,they were on somethin the whole time they were there.Like Kayleigh and Jackie said,they were really friendly and never once said a bad word about you.They were always ready to help and treated you like you were part of the family.Peter even took me and Kayleigh out clubbing one night.Cant wont to go back as soon as poss,C U all soon guys!Lv Claire xxx

I had a brilliant time at Garden Palace and loved Yannis, Akis, peter and family, and showed it by staying up chatting in the bar untill 7am! I think the london Lads who wrote the crappy comments need to get a life and grow up. Yannis told us all about what they did, and if your considering going, ask him about it....he won't spare any details. They wouldn't let them bring girls back? Yeah right. They were soooo laid back about that sort of thing it was unbelievable. And peter, the one they refered to as a nonse, was the best guy you could ever wish to meet, friendly, kind and considerate....and he didn't have a dodgy nose at all. And Denise was an AMAZING cook. The rooms were quiet, the views from the balcony were brilliant, and the pool really nice. All in all i loved it and i'm already planning my trip for next year!
Oh and lads, You should Learn to control your bowels, maybe thats why they wouldn't let you have girls in.......Saving you the humilliation.

Just got back from 2 fantastic weeks at garden palace apts. Yannis & akis where great. They where on hand any time day or night. They would serve you a drink at 6 o'clock on a morning if you wanted it which some of our party often did. Will definatley be back.

Brilliant place, just booked to go again in May 2005. The whole family were brill, can't understand anyone not liking Yiannis or Akis.
Both wifes were friendly and peter and Denise (son and Daughter were great, Denise spent an Hour and a half helping me with my Greek homework. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Rooms clean, well situated, food good and drinks cheaper than main bars. 5 minutes from a fantastic beach. Overall one of the best hols we've had. See u again next year

We spent 2 weeks at the Garden Palace in July 2003, and unlike some of the hotels in Spain, there was never a mad dash for sunloungers around the pool as there were plenty to go round. The pool itself was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic and done all they could to help us enjoy our stay. It was an ideal place for families, and our son Shaun made many friends.
The bar food was good and at night despite the bar being open until 6am, there was never any excessive noise. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun holiday in Laganas.

Yes, Well. I've read everyone's comments on here and i can't believe we went to the same place.
Although i've heard the poison name YANNIS on here enough times on here so it must be true.
My experience of the hotel (and i have travelled all over the world) was that this was honestly the worst place i have ever stayed.
Don't get me wrong. The hotel was clean, the rooms adiquate.
The pool was lovely.. it was nice and quiet.
The problem lay in the fact that it was run by an egocentrical 4 foot moron and his stupid brother.
We came in late one night (2.00am) and yannis started a fight with us telling us he would kill us.
We spent the whole time feeling like the staff hated us and we were being watched. (a feeling shared by many people there at the time).
I really do hope that man loses everything that is dear to him and that the place burns to the ground.

Just returned from a fantastic week at the Garden Palace. This was our first visit to Zante and we just want to say a big thank you to Yannis, Akis, Athena and Olga for making us so welcome - you were all wonderful. Had a slight problem with a leaking washbasin when we arived but within a very few minutes Yannis had replaced the faulty part no problem and all this at 6.30pm on a Sunday night (where could you get that kind of service in this country!). The rooms are a good size, very clean and the food in the snack bar is good too. Garden Palace is in a quieter area of Laganas but just 3 minutes from the beach and there are plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby (try our favourite, the Apollon opposite Zante Park Hotel - brilliant!). Must just aso mention our Kosmar rep - Paula you were great and thanks for al your help. Hope to see you all again soon!

we stayed at the garden palace on th 27th july for 2 weeks, we were made to feel welcome the second we arrived, couldnt fault the place at all , loved the people, met loads of friends who becky and rachel still keep in touch with. just like to start by saying that the four london lads that were there in july/august who made some nasty comments about gaeden palace were total a**eholes. they might as well be g*y because they were continually throwing themselves at females only to be knocked back because you were all w*nk*rs. i don't think that anyone would care less if you ever went back. anyway from the moment we arrived we were treated like part of the family. yannis & akis & family are fantastic hosts and great cooks. there is a small snack bar which serves great food and you can drink as long as you like, it never closes. the pool is good and is cleaned daily. the rooms were quite big and were cleaned every other day. beach 5 mins walk, main strip 5 mins walk if you take the short cut. we met some great people gill,paul, ryan & ashley. linda, colin, beckyboodles & racheybabes. scott, rhona, phil, karen & paul the mad scotts. lyle & lillian etc etc etc. we keep in touch via e-mail often. last but not least paula the kosmar rep was absolutely fantastic. hope you will be there next year paula because the gang is coming back. see you july/august 2004. fantastic holiday!!!!!!!!

four of us from london went there in july/august for two weeks it was a bit of a g*y bar(not aloud to bring back girls)
the young barman(the one with the freaky nose) is a nonse.
the daughter who works behind the bar is hot.
we got blamed for alot of crap that was going on around the hotel.
pool was ok. food tasted alrite(most probably had spit in it we were hated for some reason)
the first week there was loads of fit girls around the pool(especially the ones from essex)
then it was totally opposite the next week.
wouldnt go back there again.

just came back and it was fantastic. ideal position for whatever you want next to the beach, restraunts, quite bars and only 5 minutes away from the main strip. and on top of all this yannis and akis were the best hosts and couldnt do enough for anyone. would recomend it to anyone

9 of us stopped at Hotel Alexander last summer and it was the pits. We went and had breakast everyday at the Palace and ended up stopping all day. Yannis and Akis are great hosts. We tried to book in this year but the place was already full. We are now booked in at the Hotel Astir but will be calling in on Yannis as soon as we arrive. Best cocktail 5* METAXA & chocolate icecream - wicked!

Absolutly fantastic! Its 2 minutes walk away from nearest restaurant - Garden Of Eden - which is lovely, its a 3/4 minute walk from the nearest bar and about 5 minutes walk from the main strip which caters for everyone - the nearest end is the quieter end more for families etc. then the middle part is where all the lively clubs and bars are then when you get past the lively part you've got the quieter part again where the McDonalds is.
Its also a 4/5 minute walk from the beach which is also lovely. Its in an ideal location and the family who run it are really nice. Yannis and Akis are the best they are two funny guys not to mention Peter (son), Denise (Daughter), Anthena & Olga (Wives) and last but not least 'little' Denise who is the cutest little girl in laganas. All that and the best Rep. you could hope for, Paula. She is lovely and will do anything to help you! We will definatly be back there next year, cya soon and missing you all like crazy!

a party o9f 22 travelled to Zante on 15th June 2003, half stayed in the garden palace, half stayed at the Ikaros hotel, thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, Yannis, Akis and family made us feel very welcome, beach is 5 mins away from hotel, advise to get jeep out for three days and tour island, lovely sites to be seen, would recommend to anyone who is thinking of travelling to Zante to stay at the Garden Palace, we are hoping to return in 2004 around may time and hoping to stay at the Garden Palace, very hot late june, very nice food, drink cheap, try a pint of Alpha very cheap, hope brothers make the pool abit bigger when closed for the season as getting to busy with the extension which looks very nice. Sorry we did not get to say goodbye as you went home for sleep, hope to see you next year, we will write to you soon or you can send us an email at Skye2804@aol.com if you remember us we were the very strong tea group and the ones who broke the door handle at 6.00am. The apartments are in an ideal place, about 3 minutes from the beach and the nearest bar is literally a stones throw away! The main Laganas Road is about a 5 minute walk. The apartments are in a quiet spot, they are spotless and I cant recommend them enough! The rooms aren't massive, but they do the job! The pool is nice and there is a little snack and cocktail bar. We got clock watched a bit by Yannis though...does he EVER go to bed?!

How close are they to the pubs and clubs?
Are the rooms spacious?

We stayed at these apartments a couple of month's after they first opened in 2000. It was our first and best girly holiday away. We loved everything about them and Yannis was fantastic, always on hand to cook you chips after a had nights partying!! I'd recommend the Garden Palace to anyone looking for a lively and laugh a plenty holiday!

There was 10 of us that stayed at the Garden Palace Appartments last year on the first two weeks in may 2002. It was the best holiday that our group has ever had! One of our party ha.d a few to many to drink one night and fell over in the Banana bar and ended up in the hospital!! There was all ages in our group from 9 months to 40 years and we can honestly say in catered for all of us!! when we was there there was only one building please could someone tell us how the new building looks? we would like to go there or a hunny moon this year but cant get a booking its all full. enjoy its wicked! from Lee and Natalie Hough

Rooms Basic but clean. Pool excellent! Pool Bar cheaper than the resort bars. Watch out for Yannis - he'll keep you talking (and drinking) all night. Would definitley go back this hotel next year if we go to Zante.

We loved it there, They maid you very welcome and they were very trust worthy.Akis & yannis are great people always working hard and do anything for you. The wives are great cooks, Food is great hotel is always very clean, I would recomend anyone to go there.Your not far from the main strip if you want to go there.

12 lads from bournemouth, 2 quality owners & 1 immense holiday. this place is the nuts if u just want to do your own thing, a**e about and get sloshed. the bar is open till 6am so u can go on till the early hours. get on the right side of the owners, yanis and akis & your sorted (the bolton girls know wot i mean). we'll be back nxt year on july 13th, see you there? p.s. the rooms upstairs have been 'shotgunned'

Staying at The Garden Palace absolutely makes your holiday. It is family run and they are the perfect hosts with a great sense of humour. Rooms are good size and very clean. Food and drink prices are reasonable, esp. the tasty cocktails, the pool is lovely and nothing is too much trouble for these people. They really do give it 100% for holidaymakers.

Well what can we say .... seven girls from Bolton were up for a laugh, booked to go to the Garden palace hotal and got more than we bargained for! Supermarket very near by = Very cheap drink, got pissed on the balconey beforehand and then good old akais (in a pissed state) would drive us down to the main strip! Brilliant nightlife (Zero's, Rescues, Cocktails and dreams and Pink Panther!) Plenty of lads - WARNING Yanis states no lads from other hotels but ok if lads are in hotel (YANIS WATCHES!!!!!) Peter (the son) tends to be abit friendly - MALCOLM KENNEDY "Hmm yes a man". Anyway we loved it all, planning to come back, loved Yanis, Akis and Peter really. just had the best two weeks of my life at the garden place appartments. we were made to feel so welcome by the brothers who own the appartments. the beach is very close down a track, the pool is great and never busy and the clubs and cocktail bars start about 2 mins away. If you are reading this Yannis you make the best cocktails ever but i shouldn't have drunk so many. i recomend you try the head banger and garden palace cocktails and the blow job shots. i don't think the holiday would have been as good as it was if we hadn't been to these appartments because the people are such a laugh and i can't wait to go next year. Had a fantastic week at these apartments. They r near the beach and the bars but in quite a quiet area. The owners and their family r v friendly despite their sordid sense of humour (which u failed 2 mention lozza! i am shocked!) We thought pool would b small from kosmar info but was a good size and deep with poolside bar serving gorgeous cocktails and Yannis' vegetarian pizza everything was great.

We have just got back from a week at the Garden Palace-& it was BRILLIANT! The apartments are really nice and the people are just lovely! watch out for the DELICIOUS pizza's that they make at the bar & BEWARE of the dangerously strong cocktails (my recommendations are: "Blue Hawaiian" and "Orgasm" !!!) Oh, and the pool is great too! we thought the location was really good...not too far from the beach and only a few minutes walk from the main road of bars and tavernas etc. Hope you enjoy as much as we did if you visit!!!!

i stayed here for a week and it was one of the best weeks ever.its family run and they are very friendly.(the sons not too bad either)its close to the beach and the main street.we had a helish time.

Just come back from Garden Palace. Lovely pool and a baby pool. Friendly owners. 3 min walk along a dirt track to sea. 1 min walk up road to very noisy, busy and dangerous "high street". Our room had a fridge in which we kept on at no.5 and every time cleaners had been in the room, the fridge was turned down to no. 1 which was rather annoying!

We have just got back from a week here and the apartments are lovely. They have only been open for 2 months and it is owned by 2 Greek brothers who are friendly ...the younger one a bit too friendly!! It is a 5 minute walk from the beach and 10 minutes from the main strip of bars/clubs. Abosolutly loved Laganas and will definately go back again!

Only used the pool which was average size but very clean,talked to people who were staying there and reports were very good.Owners very freindly and helpful hope this helps
