Pallas Hotel

Hi,

I Am going for the first time and hoping this is going to be the dream end of year "do" for me and quite a few of my 6th form buddies.

Q1) Any Cash Machines Near The Hotel, If So How Far ?

Q2) How Far Is The Beach + Nightlife From The Hotel ?

Q3) Any Places I REALLY need to see ? e.g. Great Clubs or Cheap Pub's ? etc !

Thanks Cal, I will pop the travel kettle in the case, The kids will be pleased there are some clubs for them,thanks for the tip on the hairdryers, will let you know how we get on when we get back this will be our first time to greece and we are really looking forward to it.Sue

The rooms don't have tea making facilities,but they do nice coffee in the pool bar.Try a "cafe frappee"from Dimitri...it's very nice!!
As for the clubs,a ten minute walk down to the main Laganas strip will bring you to about 5/6 clubs that stay open to the wee small hours,plus all the bars and resteraunts as well.Plenty to keep the youth happy!
Oh by the way,the rooms in the hotel have hairdriers,just thought i'd mention that.

Hi there are 13 of us going to the hotel pallas on 14th August do they supply tea and coffee and kettle etc in the rooms or should we bring our own also 6 teenagers coming with us are there any good clubs for them and of course the other 7 recycled teenagers

Just got back on Sunday!!! Wow!! they did it again.Absolutely Brilliant week,hot and sunny lazy days,warm friendly nights.Defo going back next year.Anyway,Julie....the fridge is 20 euros per week,the safe key is 10 euros per week,I think the air con is 20 per week though i'm not sure?but you may need it,it was getting hotter by the day.The temprature you get on the weather report is taken from the airport stats,you can add 5 to 10 degrees on those if you are by a pool in the hotel!!!!!!!!

P.s Try the Aresti resturaunt up the hill just outside Zante town 10/10 just ask demitri when you get there!!!

We've just got back after our second visit to the Pallas. Had a great time , the family were as good as ever , not sure about young Dimitris long hair !!The only problem was that it was toooo hottt !
Will be going back in a year or two

It took us ages but if you go onto Direct holidays and select property search and add the name of the hotel, it should bring a picture up and a description. Hope you find it, we go in July aswell. 1st time to this hotel. Jue.

Daughter going to the Pallas Hotel Laganas in July but cannot find a picture of it in any brochure not even in the Direct Holidays Brochure for 2003 - can anyone help. Have read all comments and they sound pretty good but a picture would be an added bonus.

I am off to Zante for the second year running, and am enquiring about the hotel:
- How far is it from the main nightlife
- How far is it from the beach
- What do you get for breakfast, and at what time is it served
- Is it a lively hotel
- Are there any nice barmaids

All replies will be most appreciated

You don't really need a torch the lane was well lit last time we were there,but take one anyway just in case.
I should have mentioned last time,turn left where the mini go cart track is! You can't miss it

the hotel is about 500 yards up a quiet lane,next to a massive olive grove.If you ever got the yellow bus which goes to the zarakina from laganas, it goes right past the hotel! Another way to describe where it is,is if you walked up the main laganas road with the beach behind you,to the point where the bars and shops stop,turn left onto the lane and 500 yards(ish) up the lane is the hotel.Happy holidays!!

We are going to Hotel Pallas, we know the resort of Laganas but do not know where the hotel is can anyone give us some more info on where it is near and what it is like.

Just to let you know,last year when we were at the Pallas,we got the fridge for 2 weeks.If memory serves,I think it cost 15 euros for 1 week.It was well worth it though,to be able to get up in the morning and drink cold water and eat some chilled fruit straight from the fridge was really nice! It might have gone up since then,but if it has I'll drop a note on this site to let you know.We will be back on the 8th June.

We are going to the Hotel Pallas this July for two weeks.
In order to do my holiday spending budget can anyone be kind enough to let me know how much the air-conditioning and a fridge would cost for the two week period.

Went for the 4th time in September. Had a great time again. All other comments about the family are spot on, they are a lovely family. Looking forward to going back again.

not long back.Had another fantastic holiday!!drove round the island again,brill!!!!weather was'nt so good this time.But still got a great tan and it made no difference to our hols..Booked again for 1st week in June next year.Thinking about it already.10/10 yet again.Can't wait to see the family again!!! p.s kayley ask your sister and her friend do they remember me chucking them in the pool on the last day you were there (scousers revenge ha ha)!!!

august 29 - september 12 2002: the hotel was a lovely place to stay the family were very very friendly!!! it was an excellent holiday. the greek nights brilliant (im still dizzy now) and the food was brilliant. the cat was cute, and the 2 demitris were WOW!! a good laugh, GIVE THE BALL TO DABIZAS, young demitri will no who we are :) cya yas all very soon have a great break!!

Well what can we say about our stay in the Hotel Pallas. First of all "DAYYYYYOOOOO daaayo" you'll know what I mean. My family had a fantastic time with all the family, Our son with "Harry" who runs the shop became best buddies. The 2 Dimitris are brilliant hosts "If you read this you'll know who Iam when I say my wee boy beat the two of you at chess" The best Greek night you can go to on the Island (forget Sarakina) Thank yo all for a fantastic holiday. best hotel ever. Highly recommended. Going again this year in August, really looking forward to it. Could find no faults.

Yeah we liked it the family are friendly, but not a lot to entertain kids. Pool not really for small children, small and deep. On a quiet road 10 min walk from main street, only the dogs and chickens to wake you.

can't wait till september,off to the pallas for another two weeks of lazing by the pool,eating drinking! life is so hard sometimes eh!! Small tip, hire a car to see the island, it will take your breath away!!! hope the dimitris boys are on form.Especially young dimitris on the karaoke!!! anyway ,will give verdict when back home.oh!dina,just need one more greek dancing lesson!!!

This will be our fourth year visiting the Hotel Pallas. Cant wait to see the family again who have now become our friends.No need for alarm clocks as the cockrel will wake u whenever it wants to! hi ive been going to the hotel pallas since 1997 and i have never had a bad holiday. The family who run it are absolutley brilliant, and i love them all we have now become very good friends with them all. If you want a brilliant holiday and lots of entertainment with young demitris behind the bar then the hotel pallas is for you. I wouldn't go anywere else.

we came back from the pallas hotel mid sept. we loved it, the staff are excellent and very friendly especially with babies they loved my 9 month old son, even the male staff in the hotel had a cuddle. fantastic holiday!!!!!!!!!!!

At the moment i'm the holiday rep for the Hotel Pallas. This Hotel is the best in Laganas. The only thing is it is set away from the beach, but you wont want to leave the hotel anyway. Family run hotel and they will make your holiday very enjoyable. If its your first time to Greece then go to the hotel Pallas, you'll never want to go anywhere else after it. ME AND MY FAMILY (ELEVEN OF US) WILL BE VISITING THE PALLAS HOTEL FROM THE 2ND OF SEPTEMBER FOR 2 WEEKS AND WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THE HOTEL IS PRAM/BUGGY FRIENDLY AS WE HAVE THREE PRAMS/BUGGYS? jackie just come back from the pallas, sorry there are no bar close to the hotel, its quiet a walk to the nearest one, but taxi's are really cheap, so it would be best for your dad to catch one they can be rung from the hotel and the owners are really helpful, have a great trip!!!!!

we are taking our family to the pallas hotel.our grandfather is less mobile than ourselves.could anyone let us know if there are any bars very close to the hotel for him.any other comments very welcome as this is our 1st trip to zante.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel apart from a few niggles. Breakfast consists of cornflakes, bread and jam (unless you want to pay for anything cooked)and smoking is permitted at the tables. The pool is clean but not good if you have children who need lots of shallow water. If you are situated in a room round the pool be prepared to put up with noise and music well past midnight.

i didnt like carrying my torch out every night with me so that i felt safe going down the olive groves. i did like the sun.( well sometimes) edna

Can you tell us what type of breakfast they provide? Also, are the bar prices reasonable?

good points quiet beautiful location,1 mile from main island great nightlife,pool clean ok size,better hotel than most,sparkling clean, bad points rubbish breakfast ;made to pay extra for toast bacon eggs etc ,hotel bar prices double ,no happy hours, chargedto hire fridge£40fan£20 in 42degree heat should have been free

We didn't stay at Hotel Pallas but did spend some time with our family who stayed there. The Hotel is beautifully clean and the staff are brilliant and really make you feel welcome. Great for families and couples. The pool is a bit deep for kids but they all seem to manage fine. Dimitri (if that's how you spell it) will entertain you no end. Wish we had been staying at Pallas.

we were delighted with the service from the family who ran the hotel, nothing was too much trouble for them. rooms and food excellent and so were the cocktails at the pool side bar. nice one dimitri! thanks to all who made our stay such a memorable one. ps when are you going to get rid of that cockerel!

The hotel was gorgeous and located in a really nice setting. There was quite a walk into the town, but it kept the noise at a distance! Even though we enjoyed going into the town for the clubs and bars, we spent a couple of really nice evenings just sat at the pool bar. The hotel was extremely good value too.

Loved it. Quiet enough (the walls are paper thin so you'll hear your neighbours, esp. if they have kids). Lovely family who own it. Really clean place. If anybody can locate the bloody cockerel can you throttle it?!

We went with direct holidays 2 years ago,and we are going back on the 5th August this year.We found the whole holiday superb!The hotel is set back in ancient olive groves about 10 minutes from the centre of laganas,but the walk into town is fine.The hotel is clean.The pool and pool bar are brilliant.....really friendly family who own it.Nothing is too much trouble for them.We had some great nights there just having a good time by the pool bar....and Laganas is a fantastic place to go....loads of good resteraunts and bars...great prices too!!We had such a good time we can't wait to go back!!!!

THE PALLAS HOTEL IS TEN MINUTES WALK TO ALL THE BARS AND NIGHT LIFE....ITS ABOUT 20MINS TO THE BEACH.YOU CAN GET A TAXI FOR ABOUT 2 POUNDS,AND THERE IS LOADS TO SEE AND DO.....BOAT TRIPS...JEEP SAFARIS...BUT THE NICE THING NATALIE IS THE HOTEL IS ON ITS OWN IN A PEACEFUL SETTING AWAY FROM ALL THE NOISE.....SUPERB! where abouts is the Pallas Hotel in Zante? Is it far from the centre of the resort and is it far from the beach

the staff where wonderful and there was a fresh towel every day they even came and waved goodbye when we left . going back again next year
