Savvas Hotel

I have stayed at Savvas quite a few times over three years and I have never had any problems. The apartments are basic but have everything you need and they are very clean. The pool is fab, and I have swam in it every time I was there without getting ill. I have also eaten from the pool bar and had ice in my drinks and I was fine. To blame it on Savvas is bull. To be honest I wouldn't stay anywhere else on Zante.

I have been to Savvas twice now and can honestly say they were both fantastic holidays.

For someone to get evicted from the apartments they must have really been behaving very very badly, so probably deserved it!

Alot of people keep monaing about this bug and blaming the apartments - dont people get bugs in England?

Overall, i would and have receommend Savvas to friends and family cos its a fantastic place to go with mates and as a couple!!

We went to Savvas in June 2006 and had a fantastic time.  This was the third time I'd been and it's like home from home.  Dena and her family are brilliant people and cannot do enough to make you welcome and your stay enjoyable and it is therefore no surprise that so many people return year after year.

In the times that I have been there I have never had a single problem with the staff or facilities and Savvas is excellent value for money.  I have never been ill there during my stay, except for self inflicted hangovers due to too many shots in the bar with Dena and co!! 

The location is excellent as it is near enough to the nighlife, but far enough away so that you are not disturbed by it.  It can get noisy at times depending on the people staying there but the owners ensure people are warned that they must be quiet and have consideration for others.  If you were evicted from the hotel as one person who has left a review was, I am sure that this must be for acting inappropriately as the family are more than welcoming to their guests.

I have stayed in several apartments on various holidays and have found Savvas to be as clean and well maintained as any others.  The factor making these apartments and a holiday at Savvas one of the best I have ever been on is not just the cleanliness of the facilities but the friendliness of the family that run it.  This really is a place where you arrive as a guest and leave as a friend.

THESE APARTMENTS ARE SITUATED JUST ON THE OUTSKIRTS MAKING THEM WITHIN  A 2 MIN WALK TO THE MAIN STRIPAND BEACH, IF YOU PREFER A QUIETER SCENE THEN STOP AT THE POOL BAR OF AN EVENING, HERE YOU WILL BE ENTAINTED BY DENA AND PLENTY OF( FREE SHOTS.)

I CANT BELEIVE THE COMMENTS THAT HAVE BEEN SAID ABOUT THESE APARTMENTS, WE  VISITED THE SAVVAS THREE TIMES AND WERE NEVER ILL ON ANY OCCASION, THE PEOPLE THAT WERE ILL WERE ALL SELF INFLICKTED ( IN OTHER WORDS TO MUCH BEER).

when i went in aug i was 9 weeks preg so wasnt drinking but stiill got the bug and so did 90% of the people there at that time, maybe is gone now BUT  still doesnt change the fact that they should of  told people the bug was there b4 goning so you could make up your own minds if they still wanted to go. i iwent 4 a scan when i was there because i was that ill... this could od cause me to misscarie my unbone baby, not so fun now hay..................

But just wondering if anyone could help me out, there was a PR that stood outside the first bar u come across when you leave the savvas and head down the strip towards the beach. Cant remember the name of the bar, but his name was Dave and he was from Glasgow. Just wondering if anyone who was there really recent could tell me if he is still there and when hes coming home?

spent a week at the savvas studios & could not fault it, everyone knows it ain't the ritz.
pool was great, even when it was raining! everything was clean & tidy

my good lady came down with sickness after the first nite out, i'm pretty sure that it was nothing to do with the appartment, was either mcdonalds or the strangely pink burger at kfc! (didn't notice till half eaten!)
dena (the lovley bar lady (and everything else)) took pity on me sat on my own & gave me some pooltable lessons for nowt. i think she fixed the table though!
i was fine till thursday but that was my own fault for poping an immodium when i didn't have the proper s**ts! instant gut blockage! joy...

the maid came, maid cleaned. i can imagine in peak season that it may all get overwhelmed however as british tourists (of the younger age!) are quite capable of messing the place up faster than it can be cleaned up!  p.s don't moan about summat to everyone then do nowt about it!, it you tell the staff they will sort it out! there was a tampon in the pool (god only knows!) and everyone just walked past whinging! one quick word & out it came and it was gone in 60 seconds, easy!

would not have a problem stopping there again, would not take kids though as it's not realy for em, plus the last thing you want is loads of kids screaming when your head is banging! (how selfish eh?)

i got back from savvas on sunday and we had a fab time. we swam in the pool ate at the pool bar and drank sh*t loads of booze and we never got any tummy bug. our room was cleaned 3 times in a week and we got fresh towels too. the pool was clean and to be honest i don't know what everyone is b***hing about. if you got sick then thats too bad but to blame it on the apartments is unfair. and you don't get evicted from savvas for nothing so mate, just suck it up and move on. i've been to savvas loads over the past 4 years and i've never had any problems. your holiday is what you make of it, so if you want to wreck it by whinging allt he time feel free but i personally would always stay at savvas.

just come back from there and have to say if u r over 30 dont go. me and my m8 (both 22) really had a gr8 time, but it really should b a 18-30s or twentys. the older ppl at the complex really hated it. the blocks are very noisy, espec c*min in at gone 5 every morning. but if u want a ok hotel with a gr8 location, lots of drinkin and wicked nightlife c*m here. if n e girls called nicky or cathy from scarbrough read this, could they plz e-mail me. tnx

went to the savvas as a cameraman for trisha, we were situated in the penthouse suite, this is the worst penthouse we've been too. trisha had to pluh her afro comb into a plug socket almost on the ceiling, how can she enjoy her rice and pea's like that?

I'm gonna make this nice and simple...DON'T GO TO THE SAVVAS APARTMENTS!

To put it simply...we got evicted for fcukall meaning we had to find somewhere else to stay! So i'm here to warn you...DO NOT GO TO THE SAVVAS APARTMENTS

I went to Zante the first 2 weeks of August - had a wicked time.  The write ups on here seem totally different from what I experienced, but I understand we all have different tastes and expect diferent things.  Our room was cleaned regularly and had no complaints about that. (they even done our dishes on a couple of occasions  )  The rooms are basic, but Greece is, I had no complaints.  The shower rooms are a bit dfferent from home...no curtains, but hey ho it served the purpose!  The Pool Bar is excellent entertainment, Dana, the Manager, is a top bird - she made our holiday.  The reps were more than helpful during our time there - Kev and Crystal.  Got on great with them.  The apartments are not the quiestest of places, but then again what can you possibly expect going over to Laganas the height of summer with lots of people having fun!  I had a bug on the last day which I brought home with me - could be from anything over there, so to blame the resort is a bit harsh, if you were at home eating that kind of food, drinking all the random drinks from bars then I think a bit of sickness would be expected.  It was a great holiday, and we will be booking up again - the people we met over there were excellent and we had a great time.  Dana, the manager, is brilliant and totally made the holiday what it was for us.  I knew a few people that said they read this page before going away and was dreading it - they got there and said how nice it was!  Don't knock it til you've tried it.  It cant be that bad if we're going back.  Lucky you if you are planning on going over soon, wish it was me!

I've just come back from my holiday in Laganas, where i stayed in the Savvas apartments with my 5 friends. The day before we flew i was panicing because the reviews on here were awful-with everyone saying there was a 'Savvas disease'.... well there wasnt. The savvas apartments were lovely for the amount we payed, and there was actually a sickness bug going around the ISLAND-i caught it!   

Anyone who's written bad things on here about the place have gone way over the top, because although it was pretty basic wat more do u expect in that area of Greece?!

Hotel was ok but basic, people were friendly, I had a broken leg so i was surprised at how easy it was to get about the place as some hotles are just full of steps, stairs etc etc

hey guys!! just got back from probably the best hol eva!! after reading some of the reviews on here, us girlies must have bin some of the lucky ones cos we thort our apartment was fab. it was spotless an we couldn't get rid of the maid - she was at our apartment every couple of days, cleaning evrythin and evrywhere!! we wer in the block that overlooked the pool, top floor at the beginning of the corridor, so got to watch all you dirty stop-outs c*min back 2 ur rooms of a mornin!!! lol! yeh, we did get ill at the beginning of th hol, but it only seemed to last a couple of days,so didnt ruin our hol. we loved laganas sooo much, but it was defo the people we met that made our hol soooo amazin'!!geordie lads (david, mickel, graham etc- cant wait 4 yas to come down for another dance off, no climbin any walls this time tho boys, jus knock!! haha). then th famous savvas massive.... ritchie an mikey (so glad we met u's wen we did, it all started at manc airport n u cudnt shake us off afta that cud ya!! we'll be round to urs l8a 4 our pan of scouse, so get cookin baby!! haha! mwah x) .....sar an lou (our zante sista's!! the hol jus wouldnt have bin the same without u2 gorgeous girlies to get drunk with! an sar, you know you wish your girlfriend was hot like us!! lol! love yas to bits girlies x)......an last but not least, tom n rodders (well well, wot can we say, it jus wouldnt have bin the same wivout u. you made us laugh, cry ........an scream!! lol!! love yas x). we love an miss u all soooo much & made up were all guna stay in touch-cant wait to see you all!!  

Arrived and was pleasantly surprised, room was clean, basic but thats what we paid for. Staff were helpful and friendly, especially Dana! Knew a couple of people that got the bug, but its debatable whether its from the pool, as me and my sister didnt catch anything and were in there all week.

Well I've just got back from a fab week in Laganas...

The rooms were really basic but nice....No shower curtains at all which was an experience in itself...

I could have definately stayed there another week.

The five us of went 2 savvas last year & had a mint holiday, so we couldnt understand what all the bad comments were about before we went out! We asked libra about it, but obviously they denied all knowledge! We got 2 savvas on the 20th august well prepared with cleaning gear, we gave the apartments a once over thinking we would be fine! 3 out of the 5 of us got ill, i spent 5 days in bed and got 3 nights out I spent my 18th birthday in bed being sick - what a way 2 celebrate. Ang spent a day in bed & tracey was ill back @ home! Saying the pool is the cause is a load of rubbish because i didnt go in but still got ill.  Dont know what caused people to get ill but put it this way, tell a PR on the strip ur ill and they can guess where ur stayin! For the full week we were there the only thing the maid cleaned was the floor in the coridoors and outside the apartments, on our last day she left her bucket out and the water was black and the mop she used was minging as well! Behind our block of apartments was a dirty turkey farm which probably didnt help when people were ill! Most people in the apartments were down for a few days with the bug! The rep gave us a form to use when putting in a complaint at home which weve done and from the list she had i think everyone else has as well.

went to savvas for 2 weeks from 14th - 28th august, 6 out of 7 of us caught the dreaded 'savvas sickness' in the first week. never been to such a dirty place, it was a dive.the bar was awful, and so was the food, they conned us into watching the england vs greece match at the pool bar and then told us that they couldnt get the bbc so we had to watch it in greek

hey all stayed at the savvas for two weeks from the 13th of aug the first week was top met loads of good friends i went there with my brother and within the first night we met our crew big up to TOMO,RODNEYaka dave,VICKY,JENNY,GOODGE,ALEX,EMILY,LEA.JANE,SARAH,LOUISE,CAZ,DEE,BOBBY,SAM to name but afew it was such a good place jp was a good guy ray needed a personality transplant cheer up mate the pool was loverly sure i got ill but thats what happens when you drink day and night and partie none stop the clubs where ok i have been better cheesy at times the strip was small but its what you make it the first week women every where the second was a sausage fest but the friends we met made the holiday love you all so much see you all soon xxxx

Went to Laganas for a week with some girlfriends (see Louise Machell, 4 below). Started off well, apartments were what we expected, apart from the fact that my door only opened far enough for someone to squeeze through! Everytime the toilet was flushed or you had a shower the drain flooded and the whole apartment would end up wet! The location of our apartment was ok (it was round the back of the Blue Lagoon bar), although when we went to see other people's apartments around the pool, they were much cleaner and more modern. Early on the 3rd morning I was violently sick all day, followed by headaches, stomach cramps and the rest. Went to see the doctor on the 4th day as it was so bad, and she said I had a virus, although the reps' said that everyone around the Savvas was ill and to be careful. We think it was something to do with the SAVVAS, or Savvasitius as we named it.  Whenever we went for breakfast (Legends!) other people would ask where we were staying and cringe when we told them! They knew about the Savvasitius. At least one person in every group we made friends with was struck down and it ruined my holiday a little bit. Still had an awesome time with my girls, Big L and Lou, the guys JT, Si, Tom, Dan from Manchester, Max and Chicken. Hope you're all ok! Wouldn't recommend the Savvas at all, but Laganas itself is a laugh.

turned up at savvas very early on monday 14th. went to the roomss which were filthy and the toilet light did not work! the light took a week to change! me and my mate james nicknamed our room africa cus it was like living in a 3rd world place. the cutlery provided to eat with is f**kin mingin, i would rather have eaten of the pan! after our 2nd night the savvas bug hit 3 out of 7 of us and we were being sick all day and s**ttin. whatever you ate or drank came out in exactly the same way! i was one of these and i had to stay in for 4 nights after been sick for 3! 2 more of our mates were hit with the bug ...

2nd week and a jordie family arrived in the apparments next door with some belter daughters . they saved my life by bringing with them cleanin stuff like dettol wipes and bleach. i gave the room a complete rinsing! after that i was not ill again after that and no-one else was after cleaning they're rooms! the rumour about the pool been the cause is crap cus i was in it everyday when i was better! plus, if you get lompered in block e you have a turkey farm directly outside the back of your room, bird flu here you come!!!

    hey everyone! been back a week now from the dreaded savvas! which in all fairness was not that bad, we knew what to expect as it was a girls holiday and knew the accomodation would be basic! however lots of people were ill whilst over there and we think from talking around the pool etc it was from the savvas! maybe the pool or the pool bar, so we just never ate from there just in case. the pool did look clean and was not green! however it had just been cleaned a day before we arrived. we loved the holiday and enjoyed our time in the basic rooms! our door didnt close properly and the toliets did leak! oh and the shower was terrible! but its what you make of your holiday, it was for young ppl who wanted a giggle! we would go back and recommend you see laganas but maybe pick a different hotel incase catch the bug! 2 out of 3 of us had it! i came back with flu!! try it for yourselves but take plenty of immodium and loo roll!!!!!   laura and louise!!!! xxxx

Laganas is top, night life is amense!!

only go to the savvas ( aka blue lagoon ) if u want to live in a s**t hole for your stay most off the fittings are broke the bar is rubbish and there is no reception it is at the pool bar!!!!

six of us got back from laganas two days ago and had a brilliant holiday! the nightlife is great, especially 'cocktails & dreams', we loved it in there!

Me and Sarah got back from savvas apartments nearly 3 weeks ago and still miss it loads! Had one of the best two weeks of my life!  We had a great time out there! as for the whole 'savvas bug' problem - its rubbish i think its more to do with the excessive drinks, late nights, sun and fast food!  The staff at savvas are brilliant - Dena is crazy, and well, Ray and JP...! Miss everyone we met out there loads! U Scotish girls have to come down to london to see us!! and send us the pictures!!!!! also - beware of the 'tips for sex' box!

Well me n heather r away to newcastle on friday to see Billy and the rest of the boys!!! Ahh i cant wait! And we r gonna come to see uz aswell or yous should come up to glasgow! It would be so much fun! we miss u and hannah! Il get ur msn addy off of heather! LUV U SARAH!

On arrivial to savvas astudiod we were horrified to here that other guests had became ill to the swimming pool have ecoline in it. Guests also stated that there was a bbq were people had also became ill. we were  oblivious to what was going on. However once there we asked our holiday rep if we could swim in the pool and she stated no due to the fact that there was broken glass. This was a LIE. During our stay, many guests had stated the same problem with the pool. At night, you would see the pool many attempting to clean the pool by emptying the infected pool water around the pool bar. 

The rooms were absolutely appalling “the maids will be cleaning your room every two days” according to Libya Holidays. This was not the case Block C got cleaned once during my stay. Whilst cleaning I was horrified to see that the cleaner did not change the bed sheets she simply turned it over and left.

we had to go 24hours with electricity in our room once we had complained nothing was done about it. we also never had hot running water as the water supply decided to cut out when it decided to.

i had a great time in laganas wanted to stay. the bar men are very sexy but i think jp the best. we heard about people gettin ill while we were there but none of us did n we were in the pool everyday it was open but they emptied it twice while we there for one week n it was thick of some awful sludgy stuff, they came in n straightened up our sheets but never changed them cos there was a footprint on one of ours. the hotel was a bit far to walk from the clubs, but it wasnt that bad. hi to anyone who was there begining of august.

Laganas was brilliant. i loved them turtles.brilliant they were. my highlight was just all the swimming i did.brilliant it was.my lowest point had to be when i got ill and shat my pants in the butterflies resteraunt. had to waddle home to change my pants, but who cares.i was on holiday. i dont think the seat at the restraunt will be the same again tho.

Savvas was brillliant, ok got ill in the last week, but u get over it! Me and my 4 friends went for 2 weeks on the 16th of july and had the best 2 weeks ever! Met two lovely girls from london who i see have written somthing... hey sarah!!! Sat at the pool all day, pool bar at nite before goin out... brilliant! Rescue and Zeros are prob the best clubs i would say, the dave pearce nite was amazing so if hes playing when anyones going see him!

lauren and bekka totally agree with u, it does serve the purpose for a p**s up holiday and what a p**s up it was! and bar staff were pretty hot lol but i preferred ray!

no need to get b***hy "sarah", what do you do work for them, how sad r u, tryin to score some kinda brownie points for a mis-spelled word. dear oh dear. im not sayin i didnt have a good time or my m8s and yeah you get what you payed for but like many other views on here i know im not alone when i say sumin is sefo up with that place, even the prs knew about it. everybody knew savvas has sumin wrong with it. i only put my foot in the pool, so. no prob werent the pool but the reps on our last day had enuf of the green pond as it was referred to and made them drain the whole thing out so maybe now its nice a blue... doubt it. defo one of the worst places ive stayed in. lags is wkd but savvas... try the victoria down the road. sum m8s of mine stayed there n it was lovley.  if your already stayin at savvas n knt get out of it, dnt worry too much take loadsa pills n medical supplies with you, u should be fine, if you get taken out by the disease it should only last 2 days or so, just go the the chemist n they will sort you out. also report ur illnesses to the reps as they are keepin tabs on the situation for thier head office. seriously tho lags is propa wkd so hope you have a good time.

we stayed at savvas from the 18th june to 2nd of july. we had the best time ever!! savvas has got to be one of the best places to stay. yeah, its basic but it serves its purpose for a p**s up holiday. me n my mate went away, just the two of us but by dinner time on the first day we had made about 15 friends. the atmosphere is amazin , you cant go anywhere without havin a laugh. the bar staff at savvas are the best ever, definately made the holiday. loungin round the pool, with jp or ray bringin you free shots and playin the best tunes ever. yeah the pools green but so what?? yeah you might get ill, but your on your holidays. lighten up n stop whingin. savvas rocks n you all know it.

Totally agree with Diva, wicked atmosphere, wicked location...and don't stay in a lively resort like Laganas if you don't want noise. Or just buy some ear plugs!

People people people, i agreed the Savvas is not the 5star accomadation everyone would have liked but you get what you pay for!

Atmosphere at the apartments is ace, if your coming back complaing about the noise you probably shouldn't have bothered going away in the first place!!

If you are going to the Savvas then take some Immodium!! I was there for a week and caught the bug. I was in bed for 5 days with the runs and sickness. It was a nightmare! I heard that lots of people had the bug while I was there and the rep even told me that the week before one third of the guests staying had it!! My friend who I was with did not get it - and I hope you don't either. Be careful of the pool, it was dirty and didn't appear to get cleaned. On the day we left, the pool was emptied and steam cleaned so it might be ok now! Apart from that, Zante is a great place, even though I only got 2 nights out!! Have fun and don't forget the immodium!!!

omg got back on 6th august and when i mean dive, what a dive!!! we stayed there for 2 weeks 23rd 6th. we got there and was presented with a lovely green pool so dirty there was a towel at the bottom and you couldnt see it. The reps on a plus were wicked. out of the four of us three of us caught the savvas bug and let me say it wasnt very nice, the strangest thing was everybody had it and yet we awere told it wasnt the pool...... take some  imodium   with you if you are going. the place is loud theres no security and many times we had people trying to get into our apartment at all times in the mourn. itsd situated a little bit further than i would have liked and the placec being situated behind a petrol station isnt peace of mind. the sewage smell 24/7 isnt nice either. and reading on here that the hotel owners are nice popele, i dnt know who you are all talking about but a hotel ownwr that tried to stop libra reps coming in and checking on their guests to the point of trying to small their car windows in... cant be a nice person.

Self catering i see that as having a toaster, kettle, frying pan, addiquate cuttlery, cooking utentils... maybe im wrong.... but you dont get NONE of these at savvas. alsop check your towls as ours were never cl;ean and as for the bed sheets.....

Stacey u are pretty much right, the clean towel's thing really did annoy me! Bit of a shame bout the hotel really because the people who worked there we're decent folk and a gud laugh. 4 of us from huddersfield stayed there and we all got the dreaded bug.

Just got back from Savvas on 6th of August. Was the worst place we've ever stayed in! Where can I start? Everything about the apartments are s***!!!! I mean whats the crack with green pool water? we stayed well clear,we didnt like the idea of comin out of the water lookin like somthin from the black lagoon!

To everyone who is going to savvas and is reading the bad reviews take no notice. I just got back from two of the best weeks of my life and i can't fault savvas at all! yeah ppl got ill but what do u expect wen u are out drinkin all nite, not sleepin and stuck in the heat?? i got ill and it was crap but i still managed to have a wicked time. It's only what u make it! stop feelin sorry for yourselves and blaming the fact that u r boring losers on savvas! and as for cleanliness...my friend and i left our room in a right state and the cleaners were fanatastic pickin all our crap up after us and even doing our washing up. yeah it's not 5star but for what u pay it's great. staff were wicked, Dena was mad and hilarious and you couldn't ask for a better owner. Ray and JP were great too and most likely got fed up of all the idiots moanin cos they were 2 'ill' 2 have a good time. Ray and JP were always friendly to us (well most of the time) and they went some of the way to makin our holiday as good as it was, we miss u guys!

 Worst holiday ever had, just got back after spending half of our holiday (and we only went for a week) in bed with stomach cramps/sickness etc was not nice at all. majority of hotel came down with suspected e.coli from the pool. hotel in good location but was horrid, stinks of drains on a night and rooms are dirty. we have stayed in some crap hotels before but this one just takes the mick. if u want to go and spend ur time in bed then go here if not stay well clear!! reps and hotel staff are not bothered one little bit about helping you or sorting the situation out all there bothered about is making money off you. they let u still go in the pool but if u do i worn u, u will be ill. it looks like your swimming in an pool with fungi!!!!! yuk. please dont book to go here, ive been before and lagana is a great resort its so cheap and such a good laugh but stay at hotel laganas with thomson its much better. i only wish we had !!!!!

me and my brother are coming on the 13th of aug for 2 weeks of sun sea sand and sex staying here at the savvas been told its a top place afew mates stayed in june and said it was wicked look out for the 2 mad scouse lads none stop parties here we come 

me and 8 lovely ladies went between 2 and 9 july. still had mint holiday bt weve been 2 docs since been back as 7 of us got ill and we had e-coli. there's no proof its from savvas, but it wasnt only us who got ill there. just watch the swimming pool. over 200euros the doctor got out of us and its not nice throwing up ur stomach lining...i can vouch 4 that. no drink was related!!

Just got back from staying at savvas from 2nd-9th July. Laganas is a great place for a good night out, however if it's a beach you're looking for you may find yourself a little disappointed, however there are free bus services and boat trips you can take to nicer and more plesant locations. We had a great holiday, however the first 3-4 days were spoilt by a virus which 7 out of 9 of us caught...supposedly from the pool water (either Ecoli or something else jst as as bad)?! Anyway...it's not a nice thing to get so just be very aware!!!! Plus we had to pay over 400 euros in Dr's bills!!!! Rooms are what we expected and restaurant food is generally quite good...we recommend Georgio's!! Oh, and the club in Rescue for a good night out!!

Hi peeps looking to book a hol to the savvas studios for the 14th aug for 2 weeks, is the slide up and running and are there gonna be any females there at this time?

i was one of the 11 welsh lads that went. goot hotel and nice bar but 8 of the lads caught a bug as did most of the hotel. spoilt our hols a bit. oh ai DO NOT go to the IONIAN SEA RESTAURANT they made us wait AN HOUR for food and it was not nice!!!!

You're all going to have the greatest time!  I went twice last year (May & October).  Dena (my "sister"), AJ (my "son"), Denis (my sister's "biggest fan" lol) are all great.  Check out the Must Bar for cheap cocktails... oh, and go to Medousa nightclub!  It's all great.  The best restaurant we found was the Hellenic.  All of those places are on the main strip as you head towards the beach.

Helen - just to let ya know booze is pretty damn cheap! Theres a small bar opposite club rescue where last year at happy hour (which is never an hour- usually 2 i think?mayb 3?) it was 1euro 50 for a cocktail - after happy hour they go up a bit to about 4 or 5 euros but - who cares? get blind drunk during happy hour then you cant remember payin higher prices later on!

The cleaners refusd to clean my room this was very inconvinient as i come from a cleanhousehold, my all male halls at manchester uni are also 5 star clean. My room was also egged by some unknown assailentat the dead of njght this was very distressing, espescially when they charged me £30.00 for something i didnt take part in, mummy wasnt very pleased! I was also made to feel very uncomfortable when my 2 female nxt door neighbours began to taunt me oer my apperance, i didnt kno lemon yellow tops and union jak shorts wernt fashonabel, what made it wofse was when i told my rep and she joind in. I was also taunted by the entire island when some unknown savage fought it funny 2 remove my eyebrows ive never felt so belitteld apart from when gregory abram loured me out and beat me with rope! Also hearing the sound of moaning comeing from nxt door was deeply distressing i still wonder what it was, at first i fought they were playing cowboys when i herd a grl shout ride me like a pony! BIG UP THE ESSEX!!!

I was there in May 05... and returned for the last week of the season at the end of October too! I adored Dena, AJ, Cristo, Dennis, Tony & the rest of their family & friends... and made many more upon my return to them.  I even met the man of my dreams... and we're getting closer by the day! Funny though.. cos we didn't get together whilst I was there!  I'm going back again next May... and I highly recommend Savvas to anyone.  Not sure I'd be up for mid-season... I'm not as young as I used to be.  But I still managed to dance on top of all the bars... and do the whole fancy dress thing... and drink vast amounts of Vodka & sprite, amaretto & coke, cocktails, the local red wine, and of course ouzo!!!

we stayed in the marinos apartments, but i wandered over to savvis one night and boy was it a hoot.
spent most of my nights here even tho i didnt stay here.
will be staying 2 weeks in savvis next year.

well what can we say it was absoloutly amazing!!!!!! AJ and DENA made or hol aswell as AJ's bestfriend who was on hol for the 2 weeks that we were there YANNIS!!!!!! We are just so to be back. we were there from 14th aug till 28th we r going back in may to work out there!!!!!!

AJ and Dena Rule they make you feel welcome, the apartments were nice everything went smooth the pool bar was class n the pools were clean always, i will defo be coming back as nothing went wrong in the whole holz DENA WE LOVE YOU =P

i would be too scared to try any other accomedation in laganas as cant imagine it would live up to savvas. its not really the apartments i'm talkin about its aj and dena, i was always exited for gettin back from my wild night on the strip to get back to the pool bar and have a laugh!

these apartments are basic but awesome music round the pool u should go to the bbq its great fun dancin and all u can eat for only 10 euros and pools really gd great location as at the top of the strip

I don’t want to repeat everyone else on here but Laganas is F***ING AWESOME!!

And Savvas Studios are fantastic by Greek standards. They’re in a great location just off the main road and a shortish walk down the strip to the beach. The bar staff are really friendly as was everyone else staying there. The nightlife was superb but for some daft reason everything seemed to shut at 4am.

So if you don’t like Laganas or Savvas then you don’t like life!

The savvas is the greatest place to be in laganas by far. its a constant party in the apartments, with the help of little old zack knocking on my door in the early morningsmiss ya all loads!!! if girls are going you will love it, there is so many more men there to women.. sorry lads!! club wise there something for every1, r n b , dance.. etc.. cant really explain how great it was. me and my mates were crying all the way home.

We have just got back from staying for a week at Savvas and it was by far the best holiday ever!!

Just had the best holiday ever! Dont know why people were complaining coz we had a really good time! AJ and Dena are really ace that work in the pool bar! AJ can be a bit cheeky but he's well cute!!!!

It is okay that you all disagree with my viewpoints, thats life, opinions differ.

Forgot to say that i think the review from T.E was very unfair and if you are thinking about going to the Savvas, please ignore what they said as it is simply not true!! At the end of day, if you are even thinking about going to Laganas, you should not be expecting to get a good nights sleep. Sleeping is cheating!!

We stayed at the Savvas Apartments from the 19th June and felt it was excellent for what we needed. Everybody was friendly and helpful and generally the place was clean and tidy. The pool was excellent although not sure about those loud lads who were drinking fish bowls at 10.30am...ha ha...yes that was us. Apologies to anyone that we annoyed!!

Ok ummm thanks for the insults!!!  Actually I feel clean bedsheets is a very basic requirement and as for inspecting them?  HOW can you not when you are face to face with them every night (mine had someone elses blood on them by the way which was ewww)!! Wasn't expecting great shakes for the money we paid....however as for spending lotsa time in my  room....hmmmm kinda had to because according to doc burkha on the strip..I had pneumonia and an asthma triggered by the pneumo....so needless to say some of the time I HAD to stay in my room - you try being on steroids and cortisone and throwing up and trying to party on the strip!!!  NOT A SADDO AT ALL.....was just ill and trying to spend a few days recovering so that I could party and enjoy my time at laganas.

we went 2 savvas on the 13th october 2003 took me a while 2 find this tho. i think that savvas was really good and would advise people 2 go there as the people (alex, dena and akis) are very kind and do alot for people but some people jst dont appreciate it.alex is my best friend now (miss him so much but will c him again soon ) he is so cute and sexy but unfortuatly he doesnt work there anymore he now works in yakinthos hotel which is jst up the road from savvas. that is me and dena in the pic below and me and alex in the pic at the top.

the rooms were very clean and the cleaners would come in every second day. even although people say the cleaners steal pegs it may be true i dont kno but they are very nice people and easy 2 get on with. if you want anymore information about savvas u can talk 2 me at louisemonaghan_815@hotmail.com.

Am going on the 10th July with a couple of mates, have heard both gud and bad about the savvas but i went to laganas last year and it was amazing!

We loved it, brilliant place, nice and clean, and a top resort.

the apts were pretty basic and essentially clean (if you can overlook the bed sheets) which was okay!!! buutttt the pool bar/snack bar place never closes and they blast music all night long which is cool until you wanna sleep.  there are like double glazed doors which blocks the music out but they are the only way to let any air into the room so you can either sweat all night or not sleep!!  told the libra reps (they are rubbish) who basically don't care because they are making money out of the whole mess.

beyond that, laganas was cool - we had a great time!!  just wouldn't stay at the savvas again if you paid me
