 Been back a week from the savannas apts in laganas, apartments were just about adequate,although the  staff were very friendly and helpful. the neighbouring farmyard kept everyone awake all night, someone should strangle that peacock,and the farmyard cock was crowing from 3 am until 7am every bloody night.
It was miles from the beach, but minutes from the regular cafes and bars,although you had to run a gauntlet of persistant but polite bar staff,to get past them everyday.the greek people were great,but it was spoilt by the English nutters racing up and down the streets on pod bikes, there were 3 crashes on the road  in 1 week.
The highlight of the holiday was the boat trip around the island,it was great,you get to stop off at 2or3 places for a dip,in the sea,highly recomended at around 20 euros.
If we go to the island again it will definately not be Laganas.!

I returned yesterday from what was probably the best week in the last decade for me and my best pal, Fiona.  Dena (who texted me as I arrived home) & A.J. (I called him my son... he rocks) were so warm & friendly! Watch them with the cocktails though... they both have a habit of plying you with freebies... then getting you to stand on the bar for karaoke (ahem). The apartments were cool and airy (although the bathroom flooded every time you had a shower). The pool was bitterly cold... but as we were having a heatwave... it was great!. The people were beautiful and more than happy to help.  Whilst you're there... you need to visit the "Must" bar. Turn right onto the main strip out of the apartments... and it's almost at the end of the street near the beach on the right hand side.  2 euros for cocktails all night... with a free shot with each alternate round.Follow that up with a good boogie at "Medousa" Nightclub... then head to the beach to go turtle spotting. The food is lovely... with English for the lightweight dietary eaters... but also Italian, Greek, Chinese, Indian & American food to boot!   Scooters for 35 euros a week... bicycles even cheaper. Oh my god... it was truly tremendous! The beach is a 20 minute stroll... and has loads of tavernas along it's 5 mile stretch.  Try the Totem sald at the "Totem" taverna. It's gotta be tasted to be believed! I loved it so much... that I'm going back for the last week in the season (October 23rd to October 30th). Give this place a try.... you won't be disappointed.

Went to Savvas studios two years ago and although it was down a dusty track it was a nice place. The rooms were good. Pool was nice bar was well stocked and the greek night was good. There are a few goats around but thats not a problem and there was sometimes a weird guy sleeping on his scooter outside apparently a security guard!!!!

hello me and my girlies r booked up to go to the savvas mid july for 2 weeks! i hear really good comments about the hotel but then hear really bad ones! what is it really like im worried!!

we went 19th of sep the bar staf was great especialy dana trying to get us drunk the pool was good except we had to ask for the slide on we did every thing went to water park wich was good did a sun kiss cruise got drunk on board i got to drive the boat we did the full day cruise to the ship reck we saw 1 turtle and got a right sun tan we did the jeep safari we went off roading we saw all the island that was realy good a bit bumpy and we went to kefalonia for the day it was all right but we was on a coach most of the time going round the mountains laganas was a good resort i would go back especialy to see all the staff kelly

just got back and had one of the best holidays ever. the savass is not renowned for its quality or hygene so don’t go there expecting the ritz. in fact the apartments they put us in (1,2,3) were pretty bad but we weren’t bothered enough to complain. the pool looked like it had seen a few dirty a**es throughout the season but it didn’t stop anyone going in. the slide was cool but not on very often. if you want a bit peace and quiet in a clean pool for a bit just go around the corner and there is a posher pool which is quite nice but not as entertaining or interesting. the crack down the strip is good with most the bars jumping when we were there. favourites were bad boys, g-spot (get the fishbowl), rescue, producer, waikiki beach and we always ended up in cherry bay beach club. didn’t realise till the last night that there was a nice decking thing at the back stepping onto the beach – that would have been so useful (a place to take them!) - if only i’d known on other nights. hi to the heaton lasses – was the highlight of your hol really with some greek lads on the supermarket floor?

We had a wicked time in Lagnas thanx to the quality people that we met. Hi to all the London lads, cant wait to see you again soon, we will show you a goooooood time! And gotta say hi to the girls aswell.. we couldnt forget you ladies even though we didnt talk to you that much.
The strip was amazing, and we always ended up in Rescue but also have to mention Flanagans, another favourite of ours! The drinks were cheap and they let us wear thier gorgeous straw hats! This is a really good place to start the night (and the PR was HOT!)
Totty on the strip was pretty hot altogether but watch out for the greeks, they really are scary when your drunk!
Apartments were ok, but stay clear of the pool. Its fun until you come home and dicover you've caught impatiga from the water... mmm nice!
The beach party was possibly the best night and well worth the money. Free food and drink and good music, then we moved on to the foam party which was an interesting experience (for some more than others ie. Jess and Bev)!
It was a week we will never forget!

laganas was good apart from the Gringo albanian eight year olds selling crack on the strip, which i might add no 1 purchased the substance apart from bev obviously.

Looking back my favourite night must have been the second night when i first met lukie we went for a romantic spread in Room number 58- Nutella and Kfc with a bit of soft playing George Benson i absolutely loved it i heard all about the history of the english bull dog.

A great holiday shout out to the Oxford Girls who were quality apart from the one who stole my Lover- Lukie.

alright ne1 who stayed @ the savvas appts from aug 23 to sept 5, it luke (bev) 1 of the 'london boyz'. sorry 4 the noise 2 ne1 who wanted 2 sleep @ night, but y the f**k did u go zante then?! the apartments are basic as f**k, but wot du expect? pools good coz of the slide and u make as much noise as possible and no1 complains. just as philpot said dont p**s off mr savvas or nick his tomatoes, uv been warned!

the quads and boats r well good, just dont b a p***k like my m8s and crash or even bump nething or they'll skank u bad!

the strips a good distance away so u aint got 2 much noise or hassle. the strip is wicked, loads of variety of music, cheese, hip hop, r'n'b, house, funky house, everything really. loads of girls, loads of booze(cheep) wot more does a bunch of 20yr old geezers want? prs r pretty cool compared 2 most places iv been and just buy 1 of them light-bracelets @ the start of the night 2 keep the little mugs from botherin u. pink panther for karaoke. plus or ghetto 2 start then mad murphys if u like cheesy music then rescue to finish.

lastly we meet loads of blinding people(mainly girls) on this holiday, so jus goin 2 say hello to every1 who remembers team whale, p-unit or bev! i got u all liking george benson and alexander o'neal by the end, didn't i?! to all the posh oxford girls we had the best holiday 2 date, u helped us achieve that so cheers and we'll cu soon!

just got back from zante on sunday with the other london boys, had the maddest time ever.the clubs are a plenty and their not too far away from the apartments.
the apartments themselves aren't too bad,the maids do an excellent job and even put md's back in their cases! we were at the back though so we had to cross a desert to get to the pool, which was a quality pool 'cos it had a slide, but that was only good when it was on. watch out for mr savvas though, he smacked one of me mates, poor little fella, whatch out for flying ice from the poof behind the bar too.
as for the oxford birds glad you had a good holiday but more happy that bev has now found a wife, oh, and i would like my 'jamaica looks like fun' t-shirt back please!

Just got back for Zante on Sunday, had the best time ever. Shout out to all you sexy posh Oxford girls!!! all us London boys had the best holiday ever and cant wait to get together next year for another mad two weeks!

hey, got back a week ago. had a f**king wicked time and went with 4 other girls. we were known as the posh oxford girls but everyone soon found out that we're not posh for s**t! mine & stephs room was ok but jess, sarah & carols was f**king disgusting! the smell, the mould and the flies!!
the cleaners wont hesitate to boot u out of the room so try not to be there when they come.
the pool was wicked loved the slide, was annoying when they randomly turned it off though, we could have stayed on there all day.

the location is cool, the strip is literally 5-10 mins away so we wouldnt usually go out until 11-11.30pm.
would recommend rescue club, we couldnt get enough!
although we did get our final warning on our 2nd night because of the noise! there were so grumpy oldies there who couldnt hack the pace which would ruin our evening gatherings!
of course i cant forget to mention the london lads. we love and miss u guys, u made our week u legends!! apart form staying in our room nearly every night, kicking us out of our beds & snoring like f**k we wish we could have stayed another week with u.
it sucks to be back in s**tty england. would definately recommend it (not for the grumpy oldies though).
oh & to the girls, watch out for the dodgie greek p**vs, be nice or they threaten to kill u! but do look out for the fit pr's (english).

hey hey, went with jess and other girls last week. the place is alright but they shouldnt mix families with young ppl so u cant make noise. the london guys were all wicked, and complete legends! so glad we met them. the strip is good but takes f**kin ages 2 get anywhere if sum1 stops and talks 2 all the ppl tryin 2 get u in2 there clubs (mentioning no names) and the amount of kids harrasing u with drums and bracelets is shocking. the pool at our place was pretty good, was lovin the slide. anyway was a really good holiday, would recommend it 4 young ppl!

our apartment was a state but it was an even bigger s**thole by the time we'd finished with it. for example 1 of the london blokes havin a s**t and wiping his a**e on a towel and puttin it in out sink! u know who u r. apart from that everythin else was kool. the pool was ok and we had a good laugh on the slide. the london blokes in the apartments opposite us made our holiday. they were the most amazin people i've ever met especially luke aka 'bev'. he was sooo lovely. can't wait 2 c them again. when u go out 4 a meal i recommend u get a childrens meal and u still won't b able 2 finish it. nightlife was wicked. recommend the rescue club. we went there every nite. over all its a brilliant place 2 go if ur a young person. i want 2 b there now!

stayed at the savvas apartments (room 62!!)between 25th-1st. to be honest as soon as we arrived our rooms were absolute s**t holes! the cleaners had not been round at all, but we were still given keys to go and 'un pack' which we obviously refused to do! other girls were also in the same position. we didn't get into our rooms till at least 4, but arrived by 12! the transfer rep was rude, but paula our kosma rep was really helpful.

also, big warning... if like us you fancy a late night drunken dip in the pool, then think twice. one of the blokes living below us got hit over the back with a metal pole by the owner of the apartments as he was swimmimg in the pool!! plus he pushed my friend, but its been taken further so we felt better about it.

but apart from all that!! the plus sides were the pool, which was nice and not green! and when they can mange to put the slide on its a right giggle!! the pool bar is a reasonably lively, but free shots before you go out makes up for everything. plus, alex and dana are really nice. night ife is well good. overall, we had a well good week! and now i'm back home, i wish i was back out there!

p.s i feel sorry for anyone in the back apartments...the cockrall at 8 a.m is an absolute joke!!

savvas studios were great actually.
rooms:there are some good rooms and some s**t rooms, so when you get there make sure you're happy with what they've given you, and if you aren't (like me and luke) find an unused room and hijack it because empty rooms have the keys in the doors. the kosmar people aren't too smart so when they come and say you're in the wrong room just say you aren't and that you refuse to move because you've just spent the whole day unpacking. (hahahahah)
pool:wellll nice, clear and cold with free lilos and a good waterslide.
staff:i kept reading about alex and dena so it was weird to actually meet them. trust me those guys are literally the nicest people in greece, the rest are dicks. get to know them as soon as you can and before you know it they'll be sortin you out with free shots before you go out every night. also look out for the singing baby, cutest thing we saw all week.
location:not amazing, the walk back from your night out to the apartments is a mission most of the time. nothing's perfect though.

general zante stuff:
1)don't hire quad bikes from olympic rentals! they will screw you hardcore. if you want to do quadbiking make sure you take out extra cover on your travel insurance it will be worth it (we had 6 crashes in one day)
2)all restaurants will charge you for bread and butter so don't be surprised when it shows up on your bill. try and get the pr girls outside the restaurant to give you 10% off and a free shot with the meal.
3)cheapest fisbowls we found are in must, which is right down at the end of the strip near the beach.(10 euros)
4)best rnb/hip-hop/bashment can be found at waikiki, conveniently next door to must.
5)for watersports get a minicab to tsivili beach for 15 euros.
6)the savvas bbq night is totally not worth going to, just have a normal night out.

Stayed at savvas apartments from the 18th-25th July with 11 others, had an absolutely fantastic holiday! could not fault it!

Excellent place to stay for young people, clean, very friendly and safe. we made friends with loads of other people in the apartments and the atmosphere at night along the main strip was fantastic and everybody was very friendly.

The apartments are very close to the main bars and clubs, about 5 mins, but there is no noise at night. The only noise is from the cockerel on the farm behind the apartments which is not a big deal, especially in your drunken slumber!

There is a nice pool bar and they put on some form of entertainment every night, quizzes, barbecue etc. The pool is lovely and clean and the water slide is fantastic fun!

I miss it already and am very jealous of anybody who is going! xx

Got back from Laganas on the 18th July - the Savvas was a great place to stay. I really miss being there. Location is fantastic to all the clubs and bars. Pool and slide are great. Went to the water park which was really crap - there is about 6 slides...Anyway whoever is going will have a fantastic time. Dena and Alex are great laugh and will get you leathered.

4 Essex Geezers on there way out sunday 25th !

We Visted the Savvas apartments in June/July and thought they were great we had a two bedroomed apartment so there was plenty of room for the four of us. The apartments are in a great location about 5 mins walk to the strip but without all the noise, we had a brill time in Zante and seriously didn't want to come home.

Good place to stay if your planning on gettin plastered everynight and just needing somewhere to sleep (as we did).
The pool is pretty good for recovery during the day but the staff could have done with a bit of cheering up!!
Not really a family place or for the elderly. Nothin at all to worry about tho. Much better than some other hotels out there.

Me n my m8s av jus got back from stayin in the savvas studios we where there 11th-18th july. We had a wicked time,the nightlife was really gud n everyone was dead friendly n the drinks in the bars where pretty reasonable (esp cocktails),but in the clubs they where about the same as wot ya pay in England,but its free to get in everywhere.

The rooms were pretty basic,but not bad - uv gotta be careful when havin a shower cos everywhere gets soaked,but its not that big a deal. The only other thing we really needed, which we didnt have was a toaster,but we went out for almost all are meals anyway,cos it was cheap to eat out!

just got back today from laganas after staying in the savvas studios for a week. had a great time and would recommend them to anyone. pool was good and the slide was a good laugh. only thing that spoilt it was the noisy cockneys! then again have geordies and cockneys ever got on!!!

stayed at the savvaz for 2 weeks from the 13th - 27th june, the rooms were ok i suppose nowt special, if your going in groups be careful cos they try to bill you for loads of things, we were charged 135 euros for a plastic chair 2 glass' and three tomatoes that we pinched from the near by farmers field ( if u can call it that), the farm behind the top apartments is a bit of a nightmare as all you will hear is cock-a-doodle-do 24hrs a day! all the bars on the main strip were spot on though had a wicked time! overall a good holiday, and everyone says dena is lovely, to be honest she was a bit of a b***h with us, tried to bill us for things we hadnt broke!

Me and my boyfriend just got back from staying at the Savvas apartments yesterday. We really enjoyed our holiday!
We thought the apartments were good and clean - they are pretty basic, but aren't most in Greece!! I had heard a lot of rumours about the pool being green and dirty, but this wasn't the case at all - it was perfectly clean! The only thing we were not to struck on, was the fact that there was a farm at the back of our block, so we were woken up early hours of the morning by Cock-a-doodle-doo..... But overall we liked it. The bar staff are very pleasant too!
The location is good - only walking distance to the bars. The beach wasn't brilliant but we still had a good day there. We got a pedlow out and saw the giant turtles, that was really cool!
The better beach is called St. Nicolas Beach, this is where we went for the beach party (which was a really good laugh!) Its about a half an hour drive by coach.

Just got back today after 2 weeks at the Savvas. Me and my mate have never been to Zante with Kosmar before and found the service to be ok but not good. When we arrived at the apts, the transfer rep showed us which block we were in and left us to find our room. The coach driver dropped us off at the end of the road and we were in a block at the very back of the complex. It's hard work dragging your suitcase across the bumpy path and up to the 2nd floor with no lifts!

The apts were basic but if you only use the room to shower and sleep in, they are ok. Had no problems with flooding or anything but they only clean every few days which isn't nice when you have to put toilet paper in a little bin.

Pool wasn't green! but there were quite a few bugs floating about and you could see the sunlotion marks on the pool tiles where it wasn't cleaned.

The location is good as it is only 5 mins from the main strip so you can sleep at night.

Overall, a typical basic accomodation. Not horrible but I have stayed in better.

Don't go to Savvas Studios they are terrible, it's like being in a cell. The rep just left us there and when we got into studio there was only 2 beds for 3 of us one of us had to sleep on floor for first night and we had to fight for extra bed the next night. we had floods and the studios opposite were flooded with toilet waste.
there are no self catering facilities in the studio and they are in an awful location which absolutley stinks.

Went to savvas last year had a good holiday going back this year. Pool is not green and is absolutely fine had no probs, safety deposit boxes in apartments (Kosmar) not sure of the weekly charge you also need to pay a refundable deposit to Alex which yoou will get back when you hand your key back. Alex is a good laugh you will all have a fab time.

Savvas is THE place to stay in Laganas. You can't ask for nicer, friendlier people to work there. Alex, Dena and Maria are so friendly and they will get you anything you want. The Greek BBQ night is great, hard work for the family, but a really good laugh!! There is endless free shots in the bar on a night...only don't let Akis make you anything with tequila in it or you will be hugging the toilet bowl!

Our rep Gaz was great too. He is really welcoming and friendly, and will help you with anything you need. His blue peter map he has at his welcome meeting is fantastic, worth going just to have a look! We saw him everyday..we even bumped into him at one of the beaches on his day off, so he came over for a chat...took us ages to get rid of him!! (Just Kidding Gaz!!). It will be very starnge going back to Savvas next year and not having Gaz wake us up by hollering "MORNING" at anything that moves!
You will have an excellent time at Savvas...if you don't then it is down to what you made of it!

Just came back from Savvas with my boyfriend and had a brilliant two weeks. Here is a nice long message about it!
Alex and Dena are fab, Dena randomly chucks ice and bottle tops at you if she's bored and Alex makes lethal cocktails. There are plenty of free shots and fish bowls to go round as well!
Look out for 'DJ' Akis, AKA speedo boy. His idea of mixing songs is to play two together for a minute before turning one up and the other down. TORTURE to the ears. He could kill you with one lock of hair and he lurves the ladies so watch out!
The maids not only change the sheets and towels, they also wash the dishes and pick up your clothes off the floor (my fave place to keep them) as well as generally tidying up/ What a result. But beware dont still be in bed when they come, as my fella found out the hard way! (results in much shouting of "come on! is twleve o clock, you are problem! up up up! followed by much cursing in greek.
The pool is suppposed to be green! it gets cleaned every day and is lovely. you will get over not being able to see your feet.
The new waterpark is rubbish! There are 5 slides, 3 of which look exactly the same. No queues mean you have done them in half an hour and the ridges in them really hurt your back and bum. If you have a scrap of jewellry on you wont be allowed on, and kids under 14 are'nt allowed on unless their parents sign a paper which says they are not insured. You wont be told any of this though till you are at the top of the slide. And all this for only 25 euros (with the reps)! bargain. NOT!
We recommend Rescue bar (they set the bar on fire and other mad stuff) and Fanari restaurant on Kalamaki rd (gorgeous food).
Have fun at Zante airport, it is hell on earth coming home! Otherwise you will have a blast in Zante and we would definitely go back to the Savvas again. Enjoy!

Well, well, well...what can I say??! Having read some of the comments read by some of the total retards staying here, I had a pretty low expectation of the place.

Some people just don't seem to realise that if you pay cheap, you ain't going to get Raffles!! Besides we all thought it was pretty damn good value!

Quality holiday had there by the three of us made that much better by the company and of course Alex the LEGEND!

Look out for the T shirts - If it moves F**K IT.....If it doesn't, F**K it till it does!!!

thought id leave a message for all the lucky people that are yet to go to laganas!!! the reviews on here do not do this place justice (im not sure what people expected from greece for this kinda money and this kinda resort??!!) the apartments are basic, as in all greek resorts, but perfectly clean! and really....ul get over the shower issues!! (by the end of the week id even mastered how 2 wash my face gav!)

alex n dena are fantastic (if not slightly crazy), and yea, try not to get caught by 'leather clad motorbike man' in the early hours...hes rather scary!!!!

laganas itself is a good mix...there are bars (ghetto...go see illeas!!!, and g spot...go b amazed at the hotties there!!!) but its not ott....and it doesnt feel rough, which is good!!!

make sure you venture to the far end of the beach where theres a little island with a bar on it....its sooooooo pretty...but watch out for loggerheads, they tend to appear underneath you (dont they gavin and alex!!!)

anyway, im sure ul have fun!!

Went to Savvas from 10-24th August 2003 with my boyfriend Miguel, Michelle and her boyfriend Arthur all from sunny Manchester. If you were there at the same time as us, it was the our lads that were the one's bombing everyone in the pool!!
I thouroughly enjoyed myself at the Savvas and am planning to return for 3 weeks next year. Everyone is so friendly not just at the apartments but in the whole resort as well!
The place is really clean and nice, i would advise anybody going however to invest in some serious mosquito repellents as we all got bit about 20 times on the first night!
Alex and Dena are probably the two best bar people i have ever met on holiday and they really get the crowd going especially on the Greek Night, which i strongly recommend you vist. We had a top night, singing on the Karaoke with the girls from Manchester and Doncaster all night!!
The pool leaves a lot to be desired as sometimes you can't even see your feet but other than that it's the best, friendliest place i've been and you will definately make friends if you go there!!
Must dash, but missing the place loads and can't wait to return next year.

if the essex girls read this, hello, the second week of the holiday wasnt the same without u!

the accomdation was basic, but ok, shower was a pain in the ass. but nice people and out of the way from the hussel and bussel of the main stretch. anyone planning on coming back to the apartments after 12, beware of russel the muscle, he'll hunt u down til 6 in the morning. make sure u rip the chronic p**s out of him until he tells u 'next time, the police will come!'. also, tell him u wanna take him to a g*y bar, he loves it!

The savvas appartments are typical greek accommodation. Be warned that there is no shower curtain but i'm yet to stay in greek accommodation where there is! The amount of time you spend in your room it doesn't need to be 5 star! The maid comes around every other day so they're clean. I was there for 2 weeks and it was one of the best holidays i've had, me and my boyfriend met some great people. Alex and Dena who work on the bar at the pool are mad, they give you enough free shots so that you never leave the bar sober. If i could've stayed another 2 weeks i would've.

I have been here twice in the last 12 months, albeit in the early and late part of the season. The pool was clean and it was easy to get a sunbed. I guess the staff struggle to cope when its fully occupied.

Alex is a real good laugh if you get to know him. Did anyone who's been recently see a drawing pinned up behind the bar saying 'Andy's bird'. Alex text me last week to say it was still up but Im not sure if he's tellin the truth. I will be goin back in May 2004 and cant wait. Off to Kardamena in Kos in October for a change.

Was there end July begin Aug. Enjoyed it.Apparts basic but clean. Very noisy until about 5/6am when all kids get back, so be aware Big Bad Russel is watching your every move when u get back. If u like a drink on ur balcony after the clubs, dont be surprised when the night watchman, "the chicken weight champion of Zante" tells u to go to bed as like me you will be told that ur not very well educated.
Pool very dirty. Bar staff brill, food good. Dont recommend the Greek Night.

Right, Savvas apartments: Me and 6 mates went Aug3-Aug17. The rooms are ok, all you need really just two beds, a mirror, dressing table, cupboard and sink - and for some reason two MASSIVE rugs/blankets?!!? Anyway, the shower is a bad look, the whole floor gets covered in water. Grotbags the cleaner comes round every other day anyway to give you new towels and sheets and cleans the floors.

The pool - if you go in it you actually cant see your feet. Me and me mates heard all the reports of the murky water and stuff, with it being called The Blue Lagoon we debated wether or not it is mucky on purpose but couldnt decide....

The bar is ok, Alex has a good story about the Billy Goat (ask him) - but be aware that if he comes over to talk to you he 9 times out of 10 is trying to sell you something, wether it be the pool competition, bbq or whatever - we did neither so cant comment on how good/bad they are.

We had a decent stay there but did encounter a right bit of greek back-handedness - one night me and a mate came back leathered at about 6am, couldnt get in our rooms cos didnt have key so thought 'we'll sleep on the sunbed by the pool'...next thing i know weve got this old greek bloke going mad waking us up and throwing us off the beds. So we get up still asleep and get in our room.

....EIGHT days later we are getting ready to go out, Alex and the old man come knocking on our door. Alex says the old man saw us break the sunbed - which we didnt, we just lay on it - and now wants 60 euros to replace it, else they will throw us out of the hotel - FACE. So we say we will see our rep the next day. Next morning Alex comes knocks us up with this handwritten note off our rep (dont get me started on how bad he was, we saw him once in 2 weeks) saying the old man has told him that he watched us break the beds and that we have to pay the money or the police will come - FACE again.

So what they have done is let us drink and eat in their bar as normal for 8 days spending a load of money, then said right give us 60euros now on our last day! Cheeky b*stards!!! Had no choice other than pay up for doing nothing wrong.

Just be aware that greek 'friendliness' generally revolves around money.

On a good note, the karaoke on Monday nights in the hotel bar is class - its ran by a woman called Auntie Sue, seriously talk to her as much as possible she is a knockout!! we ended up going out with her a few nights and having a bbq at her villa - tell her 'Elvis' sent you she'll give you a shot.

Don't go in the pool, you can't see whats lurking. I think it should be renamed 'The Green Lagoon'. Our favourite game around the pool was dodge the beer bottle. Something positive? There was a great view of the building work and workmen from our balcony.

We were dissapointed at what we saw when we arrived. The brochure had shown the appartments next to the pool which was a deciding factor for us choosing this accomidation as we wanted a relaxing holiday that we could sit there when we wanted. When we arrived we found we were in a block 100m up a gravel track away from the pool area. The pool area was tidy but there were no sunbeds available unless you were there very early, most just had the usual unocupied towels. The pool wasn't very clean either as we didn't see the bottom in the whole 2 weeks we were there.

The accomodation was noisy at first due to groups of boys/girls playing music some nights till around 5am, this quietend down once they were warned with being thrown out.

The rooms were very basic but were cleaned regularly including towels and bedding. Toilet roll was in short supply and we found ourselves buying everything we used.

We were able to hire fans which helped with the heat at night as we had to keep the windows and doors shut due to mosquitoes.

Saftey Deposit boxes were available but are located underneath the counter in the pool bar. It was only big enough for an envelope and was of no use for keeping anything like a camera in. You had to hand anything to go in the box to the barman who would lock it up. At no time would you see the boxes or him putting your stuff in them. You'll need to be Very trusting.

The staff were very plesant and helpfull at all times and the food they serve at the pool bar was good.

Tha appartments are very basic even by greek standards but its somewhere to get your head down. The Libra appartments are about 100 meters down a track from the pool. The pool bar sells food and drink which is quite cheap. Its about 10 mins walk to the main strip of bars in Laganas which is a cracking place, its not too big and is really friendly

Yes you can hire fans..you will need them. Take loads of bog roll cos they don't give you any when they clean the rooms for some reason. You have to ask at reception for some if you run out which can be quite degrading. I asked the maid for some bog roll once and she looked at me in complete horror like it was sacred or something.

Hi, me and my mate wendy are just back from the savvas apartments (room 32) and we loved it there. Beware thou they have no shower curtain so if your any thing like me you'll flood the whole bathroom. Recommend hiring a fan as theres no air conditioning and its one hot place. The slide is cool, its not always on but when it is everyone just goes mad!! alex the barman is great, lots of free shots!!!! as for the thursday night bbq dont bother. ill defo go back, Hi to the ipswich lads who were in the rooms above us.

Just back from the Savvas studios. And they were ming hinging. I went to their "Eat and drink" as much as you want BBQ and had two chicken wings. I did however drink loads of their wine and became blind around 11.00. This was followed by projectile vomiting wich if aimed in the right direction could near enough hit my apartment which was around 500 metres down a dirt track. The beach was very nice and I seen loads of turtles although I was terrified of the donut sellers who i think are evil robots sent to Zante by evil cone headed martians, "Doooonutz get ure fresh dooooeeenutzzz". p.s Heh bazookie!

Hi. Just returned from Zante! The Savvas studios are ok. They are fairly basic and the comments about the shower are true. You really have to squat holding the shower head over you to prevent a flood - NICE! The other bad point is that fxxking chicken that likes to keep you up! The pool is nice and Alex at the bar is lovely! The beach is fantastic - watch out for the turtles. We seen a few whilst swimming!

Apart from the flooded bathroom!! And the fact that we broke practically every appliance in the studio!! It was OK!!! The bar was quiet at nite wiv was a nice contrast compared to the main lagana strip! I would go again, and next time I will go on the slide!!!

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Savvas Appartments. Had a really good time. We did not here any farm animals and the pool bar normally closes at 2am and the noise dies down.
The people in laganas are lovely and really helpful.
Can't wait to go back!

we stayed at the savvas 2001 ,i thought the appartment was excellant,quite large compared to most and very clean.it had a good snack bar,so didnt have to go far for breakfast/lunch if wanting to stay round pool.it was at the top end of the street ,so was quiet on a night.had a pub crawl down to main area of town ,were all noiser nightlife was(would not want to stay in that area too noisy and bustly)i would go back to the savvas again.

Just booked to stay at the Savvas on 22nd June 2003 with 4 mates, anyone got any info on the place, or have booked to go around the same time!!

The savvas apartment were really cool. There were some dirty goats there but if u were nice to then they were always willing to come in for the drink!! (they were sometimes a bit noisey in the morning) The pool and the bar was a good laugh, specially when the water slide was on.

Me and my boyfrind have just come back from staying at the Savvas apartments last night. Whilst out there I dislocated my knee in a bar called bananas, I recieved no help from any of the medical staff in the hoslpital or the on call doctor (whom came to the apartment twice and wanted paying twice). Kosmar didnt have a number which I could contact them on throught the night when I injured my knee. When we finally got hold of the rep the next day we were not even asked if we would like to be moved to a room lower down in the aprtments as we where on the second floor. after all kinds of other things went on we where finally going home. My boyfriend asked alex the bar man would he help him carry me down the stairs then onto the coach whilst many english (i am english) people stood watching us struggle. I did not receive crutches, wheelchair or any other kind of aid from anyone. So beware when travelling to GREECE. Everything up to that was great!!!!!!

We were at savvas apartments in august, & thought it was brill. The weather could have been better but we made the most of it in the Blue Lagoon. Alex & Dena were a great laugh (keep up the good work). At least us Scots know how to enjoy ourselves unlike the english who complained about us because of the noise! Cocktails & Dreams, Zero, Cherry Bay, Oor Wullies & Mad Murphy's were all fab. Beware we will be back!!!

Oh come on? I've stayed in many appartments all over Spain & Greece, and none of them had all sunbeds occupied by 10am - and you forget, they were all occupied by 2-4am, as we saw them everynight when we walked past. V. selfish. Would have been ok I guess, if the weirdo at the bar (Alex is it?) could have stayed off his trolley for long enough to tell people to not hog the beds.

Yeah, there's goats, yeah there's cockerels, but come on! I thought the Savvas Apartments were spot on.!.!.!... 5-10mins walk away from the main clubs and pubs. Ok, the pool was busy and the sunbeds were all taken by around 10-ish…. but at least you didn’t have to compete with Germans for then! Show me somewhere that this isn’t the standard practice abroad and I’ll be amazed. There’s two tour companies that use the apartments, each with their own separate blocks. The Kosmar blocks overlook the pool, whilst the Libra block is 50 Meters walk away. The apartments all have 3 beds (the couch pulled down to make the third, like most other places) and ample facilities for cooking. In saying that, the shower's without a curtain do take a bit of getting used to.

Before going to Laganas and reading the comments here, I thought 'great'. Well, Laganas was great, but the Savvas appts were not. Cockerels, goats, appts with 2 beds instead of 3, weird coked-up-to-his-eyeballs pool bar man, and thousands of couples that put their towels on the sunbeds round the murky pool at 2am or something selfish. Oh yeah, if anyone 'lost' their towels (Ted Baker?) that was 'someone I know'. Laganas itself, once you trekked over the 50mtrs of gravel at the Savvas, was great - Zeros, Rescues, Cocktail & Dreams, G-spot, were all great. I'd recommend Laganas, but don't bother staying at the Savvas.

Just come back from a good holiday in Lagana, good nightlife with lots of good bars, recommend The G Spot Bar where they had really friendly staff especially Pavlos and also Cocktail and Dreams which played some good music! Appartments were clean but basic, location was good for nightlife but not for sleeping because it was like staying on a farmyard, cockerels keep you up all night!! The pool was ok, but not big enough for the amount of appts that had to share it. The most annoying thing was the amount of English holiday makers who were getting up early and leaving their beach towels on the sunbeds!!. When we arrived at the pool mid morning nearly all the sunbeds were covered in towels but there was no sign of anyone!! This shouldn't be allowed to happen. Overall we had a good holiday,with lively nightlife and the beach was lovely and definetely worth a visit!

Savvas studios were excellent. Laganas town came alive at night. People were all very friendly. Great holiday except I need another one... didn't get much sleep because Big Mike kept me up all night. I'll be booking the same holiday next year as long as the friction burns have gone.

Savvas studios was ideal... great positioning in Lagana centre with a good pool and bar in the apartments. Hard to get a good nights sleep with the cockerels and dogs who start up at around 4am, just after the bar shuts, especially if the girl in the next bed moans in her sleep. If you stay up late Alex in the bar gives away free 'monkey spunk' shots! Just don't ask whats in them... chefs special sauce. People we met were too quality (Stuart, Claire, Steve, Hannah, Brian, Tracy, etc) just don't think they will let us back on an Excel Airlines plane (service & food was pretty far from Excellent!

stayed at savvas studios, early sept 2002. apartments were good, clean, maid service regular until latter part of week. pool was murky and has old socks at the deep end. alex in the bar was a top man and gave away free shots, as long as you could stay awake until 4am. weather was cracking apart from the torrential downpours for the first few days and the s**t your pants thunderstorm on the 2nd day in. take a bucket so that you can milk the poor goats, they really need a good milking. food in laganas itself is overall very good, people in bars friendly, and you get free shots during happy hour. don't go looking for any turtles, as there aren't any unless you want to swim for their island and then get shot on the beach, as an alternative you could just buy a furry backpack version in one of thousands of shops. trip to the beach was nice, watch out for dodgy greek restaurant owners trying to flog you sunlounger hire, oh and buy a nice greek fruit 'salad', aparently they're guaranteed to keep you on the loo for a week.

went on 21st of july it was absolutly fantastic. Alex and dena are great the weather was beautiful and cant wait to go back there again. The apartments are very clean and basic and the pool is lovely. We had a pollside view it was lovely. The greek nite is good fun and the best places to go are rescues and zeros however i found that drinks were very expensive go to the cocktail bars first.

These apartments are big compared with other apartments we have stayed at in Zante. Alex and Dena who work behind the bar are great fun and will make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. If you're looking for quiet apartments these are not for you. The pool bar is open til 4am and if you're lucky enough to get a pool view like us you won't get much sleep. Our 1st week was unfortumately ruined by a group of Scottish people who had no respect for themselves or anyone else for that matter, and what I couldnt understand is why they were allowed to stay there after their first night of bad behaviour. You only get the bins emptied and fresh towels twice a week. All in all the apartments were nice but I would have preferred to have stayed at Hotel Ikaros again.

Basic apartments, kept clean in a quiet location. The Greek night was fun, the food was O.K. but the entertainment was not very Greek after the first 1/2 hour. Try Niko's bar just round the corner, turn left away from the centre about 30 metres.

ME AND MY MATE CAME HERE IN JUNE AND HAD A FANTASTIC TIME. THE APARTMENTS ARE BASIC BUT CLEAN.THE STAFF R BRILL THERE, ALEX IS GOOD FUN BUT THEN THEY ALL ARE. THE BEST MEAL WE HAD THERE WAS AT A CHINESE RESTURANT,WE WENT 0N THE TRIP AROUND THE ISLAND WHICH WE WAS TOLD WED SEE DOLPHINS AND TURTLES,WE DIDNT SEE ONE!!! BEST TRIP WAS DOWN THE BEACH ON A LITTLE BOAT THINGEY WHERE WE SAW LOADS OF TURTLES.YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE!

We got back last week and had an excellent time. I went with a group of 9 lads and we all had a superb holiday. The Bars and Clubs are all on the doorstep, the 2 main clubs are Rescues and Zeros which are a 5 minute walk from the apartments. The apartments are very clean and have all you need in them. The pool is really nice and the waterslide is great fun, but you have to get up early to get sun loungers!! The pool bar is superb, and there is always something going there. Dena and Alex run the bar and they are a really good laugh, I recomend the Banana Banshee cocktail! Believe me you will have a great holiday. Lisa, I think I'm a bit older than you, but my teenage children tell me that there's loads of good bars and pubs within 10 minute walk.Lots of British bars/nightclubs all touting for custom from about 10pm.Restaurants touting all day!!!(Very friendly!) The road down to the bars is the main road into town, so there's no isolated roads back up to the appartments (unless you decide to go the backway!)We did go to "Relax Bar" which did really cheap lunch - turns into Karaoke bar by night.Only saw 3 buses while we were there for 2 weeks, so wouldn't rely on public transport. Roads are pretty typically Greek!!!! Good number of taxis towards beach. We did the round the island boat trip and island bus tour through Smile. (The first tour operator you come to as you turn right towards the beach)They were really helpful. There are loads of trip organisers touting out there who are pretty much offering the same trips at identical prices.Hope this helps.

Sheets/towels changed every 3 days.If you turn right there's bars/restaurants for about 20 minutes and it gets livelier as you reach the beach.If you turn left, there are still restaurants and shops, but it's quieter and more family orientated.

could anyone let me know exactly how far the savvas apartments are from the main stream of bars and clubs i.e how long it will take to walk there etc. Any one got any information as to where are the best places to visit or go out for a drink. Help is much apreciated

Kim, I stayed in the Libra appartments - they're at the back of the resort area and don't get too much sun so the appartments stay nice and cool. The Kosmar appartments are at the front, nearer to the road and petrol station, but also nearer to the pool and bar!! I didn't get a look around the Kosmar appartments but from the sneaky view I got thru windows etc they looked pretty much the same as the Libra ones.....

The apartments are lovely and clean and nice and quiet.The pool side is lovely.look out for alex he likes throwing ice!Get him to greek dance with you its pucker.Dena is lovely to.U will have a great holiday

The appartments are lovely, very basic, but clean and a cleaner pops in twice a week. You get bed linen and towels provided, as well as basic cooking and eating utensils. It is behind a petrol station, but you don't get any noise, and it's far enough from the main strip to not get any bother either. But it's close enough to get to the fun in about 5 minutes. The pool and the bar at the pool are great, Alex and Dena (and the rest - especially little Eleanor!!) are lovely and a great laugh. As long as you're just looking for a base to sleep and nothing posh then you couldn't want for anything more!

Just back from Savvas in Laganas on a girlie week. All I can say is it was brill. It is behind a petrol station which is not open 24hrs. It is quiet at night and not far from busy bars and clubs (About 5 mins walk). As for the staff, everyone will go out of their way to make sure you enjoy yourself!

im staying at the savvas apartment in july. Can anyone tell me the real truth about them. R they far away from the main clubs and bars, restaurants etc. Someone please give me some info. Is the accomodation nice. Thanks

I also read that Savvas is next to a petrol station, but so many people have said that its nice that i doubt this can affect it much. Atleast i hope not.

hi. me and a group of mates are going to the savvas on the 21st of july 2002 and i just wondered what it was like.

Came back on Sunday 9th Sept. Apartments are excellent very clean and the Libra block is newley built and well maintained. Alex is a cutey and you can hire fans from the supermarket next door. The sunbeds are a mare, first come first served but if you go along the left hand side of the beach for 10 mins it becomes really quiet, so take your towel and crash out Bliss!!! Theres an internet cafe next door where you can send an e-mail instead of a postcard.

Just got back Sunday and I want to go back, I really had an excellent time! There are safe deposit boxes which are kept behind the pool bar which cost £6 for a week £12 for two. They also play a good selection of music round the pool and they organise nights where they have karaoke or a barbeque. Most importantly there is also a rather cute barman called Alex!! The pool bar has a wide range of cocktails and shoots to choose from and their English breakfast is deeelicious!! Specially after a heavy night. Only thing I would moan about is the cleaners are not very good and clearing up! Other than that everythings pucka!!!

I am going to the Savvas Studios next August. Are there any safety deposit boxes or fans at the studios ? Is there any music played around the pool during the day ? Are there plenty of sunbeds to go round ?

I have just got back from Zante. I had an excellent time and I wish that I was back there now. The appartments are really nice set in quite a good area. For those who like to party all night the centre is just down the road. For those who want a more peaceful time, the appartments are set back from the noise. The beach is great but you have at least a 15 - 20 mintue walk before you get there. Still who cares? Zante is brill, the appartments are great, the pool is quite big and I will never forget Zante. For anyone who is jetting off to Zante you will have a great time.

There is a safe box to put your belongings in at the pool bar which is 2 minutes away from the hotel (the blue lagoon) it is worth it it's around 3000 drachmas for 2 weeks. we have just come home from there and it was a good laugh. Jill & Claire (Edinburgh)

Hi there!! Will be flying out to Zante in September and I can't wait!! What is the pool like? Is it a good size? Any recommendations on the best restaurants and clubs/bar? How far is the beach from these appartments - is it in walking distance? Is it a lively resort because I looking for some action?

These apartments are 5 minutes away from the hussle and busssle of Laganas which is nice and quiet, so if your not out partying you can at least sleep. We went on the trip with the reps it was called the Voyage of Discovery on a Saturday and had a really good time. We saw it advertised in resort for about half price but some other people who where staying next door to us went on this and had to pay extra on the day which worked out more expensive. Go with the reps, your have much more fun.

Ive just booked the Savvas studio with Libra for the beginning of September, can anyone tell me how far away the main resort centre is and if its worth going on the turtle excursion with the Libra rep or the locals.

Over the winter the owners have built another 4 blocks , two are with Libra holidays and 2 are with Kosmar. They are situated behind the shell station in Laganas and very quiet. The rooms with Libra holidays are big and a studio for 2 will quite easily fir another bed in there. They all have basic facilitys as its cheaper to eat out, but you will get a kettle which is unusual in Greece and plates,cups,knives,folks,spoons etc. I know the rep for Libra use to rent out fans for 4000drx for 1 wk and 8000 drx for 2 wks, your need it cause it was hot when I was there a couple of weeks ago. Trust this answers your questions.

I am staying at the Savaas studios in August. Can someone tell me how basic they are. eg what you get in the studios and how big they are. there will be 2 people in my apartment - will this be comfortable or are they as cramped as hotel rooms

We stayed there last May. Accomadation was basic but clean. The shops and restaurants where close the beach was about 10-15 minutes walk. Visit the Sarakina restaurant for greek night and good food.
