Hi Sam, we're glad there are no hard feelings and we hope to see you there next year when you too could become fluffy. By the way we're really jealous you are going back this year!!!! But of course it won't be the same without the fluffs and our cheating ways!! It just shows how many friends we have all made, we don't think this site has been used like this before. We can not fault the margarita hotel at all. The clubs and bars out there were good and the location was excellent, (the walk wasnt too far but yet it wasnt too nosiey there)

The entertainment team were wicked, plenty to do and we loved the bingo - SHUFFLE SHUFFLE!!!!.

IT WAS SUCH A LAUGH. WE WERE THE QUIET BRUMMIES WHO ONLY RELE SPOKE TO PPL AFTER A FEW MARGARITA'S.
THE BAR STAFF WERE FUNNY ESPECIALLY WHEN THE ONE GOT CHUCKED IN THE POOL ON OUR LAST DAY! THINK HE THOUGHT I DID IT.

Hi everyone. Just returned from Hotel Margarita today and am feeling very blue indeed. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole two weeks especially the last two days on Olympic Days! Team 'AVE IT!!! We should have definitely beat you team FLUFF! Was reat to meet so many nice people... Hi to all!

Great holiday, me n my 3 other mates thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If any1 remembers us, we were the 'ooohers' from room 234, hope we didnt keep u awake with that early in the morning, not 2 mention our constant playing of loud music and drunken early morning swims!!

The meals were ok, breakfest was very nice, jus unfortunate we only made it up for it once!! the snack bar was lovely, i would strongly reconmend the chicken burgers....but dont ask how long the hot dogs have been there for, they got very unhappy when we asked that!

The drinks were very nice, lowenbrau on draft, you cant complain! however the margaritas were very strong, felt a little bit under the weather the day after a night on them! The entertainment and activities were also very good, thanks to ayia, alex and nadja!

We are going on the 24th October,will things be starting to close down for the season?

We arrived at hoetel Margarits August 2003 with a teenage son of 14 with a bookin
last minute! And may I say we touched lucky, very lucky! The food was out of this
world, the hotel was very scenic and certainly clean. Were now expected to arrive Aug
6th 2004 and cant wait! The entertainment was certainly entertaining and you
laughed one way or another! Plenty to do and see! So to all thoose people
complaining bout the service go to bloody blackpool for a week cos we dont need
moanin 'Brits' abroad. Families or couples your sure to have a good time. One hell of
a place.

We are expecting Bowls, killer darts, killer pool, five a side football, tennis, football tennis, bingo WATER POLO but PLEASE NOT KARAOKE every other night!!!!!! DON'T FORGET OLYMPIC DAY. For all of you who dissed the hotel and entertainment, this is just a snippet of what we got 2003. Ayia we want this and more this year. Watch out Mr Lee, Mr Terry, "Little" Terry, MARK and for our Scottish Counterparts Betty and George.
Do not know what all those moaners are on about but food was hot,(eat immediately is our advice as food tends to go cold after a while). Our towels WERE changed TWICE a week (perhaps a happier approach towards the staff would of helped)
See you next Tuesday (!!!!)

we had a good time at this hotel.we were ill but isnt every one ill at some time .no one in our party drink. we didnt go to this hotel for the drink but we were told the hotel was good .we were the quiet ones, we saw all that went on, can you remember those 2 families fighting?.even though we sat quiet in the hotel and kept to ourselves. we must say though that we did not find the food hot.Some people said they found it luke warm, but that isnt a problem as we are vegetarians so only ate the salads and cheese.after a few days the cheese is a bit boring though.we feel that we didnt need to go to blackpool for chips and eggs because we could get chips with every meal and fries at the pool, great!!!.If you like chips and eggs. ha ha. some one said that you get plenty of towels i suppose 2 large and 2 small a week for 2 adults is enough for some but not for me. however i took my own towels with me so no probs.
Does every one who has a negative comment on this site have to be some one who complains and claims money etc.if so please send me some. i have never made a complaint to any holiday comp and have never claimed money but if you had a good holiday here i am glad.however not everyone has had a good time here.

Can I just add to all the excellent comments that have been posted about this hotel and throw a bit of cold water on those "supposed" holiday makers who have negative views of the hotel. Yes our towels where changed twice a week Yes the food was always Hot, Ok the entertainment could be a bit naff from time to time but it wasn't through lack of effort fom the staff.
The owners and their staff where probably the friendliest I have encountered on a european holiday and you feel more like a guest in their house as apposed to a guest in their hotel.
I think the people who have posted negative comments on this board probably go on holiday just to find things wrong and the first thing they do there is find the nearest English pub.
I went last year with a group of friends and will probably return this year such was my regard for the place. Oh and weak drinks? you must be some hardend alcoholic.

We would like to redress the balance of negative comments that have been made about the hotel. We have just returned from our two week holiday which was fabulous. The hotel was very clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly and would do anything they could to help in anyway. The food was good, always hot. Its a greek hotel so the food was of greek influence as to be expected when you travel abroad.
If you want egg and chips then go to Blackpool. The downside maybe that after two weeks it could be a little repetitive but, hey, what do you expect after two weeks. As for the comments about the towels yes they were changed twice a week but you were given so many that it didnt really matter and was not a problem. You could drink anytime between 10am and midnight so we say if you wanted to get drunk there was plenty of opportunity especially with the jugs of wine which was good that you could ask for at lunchtime and your evening meal. The brands of drink were local but after a while one white rum and coke tastes much like any other bacardi and coke here in Britain. Though some of the drinks were so strong we had to add even more mixers!! We also recommend the Margarita Hotel cocktail!!!
The highlight of staying here has to be the entertainment staff (which had nothing to do with First Choice thank god!!!) catering for all ages during the day and evening. This task was carried out excellently and always with a smile. If you want slick professional entertainment shows every night then go to a different hotel (larger and multinational).If you want optional activities during the day and fun in the evening whilst drinking with newly made friends then this is an ideal place. A big hello to Eija Alex and Nadja (yes we will post some photographs on here too) thanks for the great entertainment. And for all those who were at the hotel between 25/5/2004 and 8/6/2004 Just Call Me Red got home ok and intends to take a make up application course!!!! :-)

I HAVE STAYED AT THE MARGARITA 23 TIMES IN THE PAST 17 YEARS. I LIKED IT SO MUCH DECIDED TO MOVE TO THE ISLAND. I AM SURPRISED AT SOME OF THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS FROM THE GUESTS WHO HAVE STAYED AT THE MARGARITA. THERE IS A COMMENT ABOUT SEVERAL PEOPLE BEING ILL WITH FOOD POISONING. LET ME PUT THE RECORD STRAIGHT NO NONE IN THE HOTEL HAD FOOD POISONING THE REMARK ABOUT THE ONE POOR LADY WHO SAID SHE HAD FOOD POISONING ARE COMPLETELY UNTRUE HOW DO I KNOW I WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO ATTEND TO HER. THE DOCTOR WAS CALLED LATER IN THE DAY BECAUSE HER FRIEND WAS WORRIED. THE DOCTOR WHO VISITED ALSO CONFIRMED IT WAS NOT FOOD POISONING AND THAT THERE WAS A VIRUS GOING ROUND AND SHE HAD VISITED MANY HOTELS TO SEE PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS. THE LADY IN QUESTION HAD TO APPOLOGISE FOR HER UNTRUE REMARKS. IF ANY PERSON IS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE THEY RECEIVED DURING THEIR STAY HOW COME NO COMPLAINTS WERE LODGED WITH THE TOUR COMPANY. THE THE FAMILY WHO OWN THE HOTEL PUT IN SO MUCH EFFORT TO PLEASE THEIR GUESTS. ALL THE FURNITURE IN THE LONG HAS BEEN RECOVERED FOR 2004 AND WHAT DO I SEE PEOPLE WITH THEIR FEET ON THE SOFAS AND CHAIRS CIGARETTE BURNS. SO MUCH FOR RESPECT! LOCATION POOR IS WHATY SOME PEOPLE SAY DONT THEY READ THE BROCHURE BEFORE THEY BOOK. YES THERE WERE SOME TEETHING PROBLEMS WITH THE ENTERTAINMENT AT THE START OF THE SEASON THIS WAS DUE TO THE LATE ARRIVAL OF THE ENTERTAINMENT AGENCIES STAFF.YOU WILL NOT PLEASE ALL OF THE PEOPLE ALL OF THE TIME SO FORM YOUR OWN OPINION LIKE SO MANY PEOPLE DO AND COME BACK YEAR AFTER YEAR. THE ONLY COMMENTS YOU SEE ARE FROM THE MOANERS IN LIFE AND THOSE LOOKING FOR A BIT OF COMPO

Holiday was May 11th to May 18th. Food poor and cold, towels only changed once in the week, we saw a wedding party that was the only entertainment in the week. watching the bride walk to the carrage,we like a drink but never got drunk, go to the local pubs if you want a decent drink . One good point is that i hate people telling me i cannot smoke where i want, we got one back on the non smokers because in this hotel you can smoke where they are eating, GREAT.
Play bingo. the cards were photo copies,but you can win about £100. just expect the same every night.

_BE AWARE!!!!! when it says towel change twice a week it means you get clean towels when you arrive then they give you clean towels once more.The dining room and entertainment room/bar,is one room, if you dont like cigarette smoke (i dont)be prepared for people smoking as you eat your meal. The food is great if you like cool food.DO NOT expect hot food. Luke warm food is all we got in the whole week. I was ill on the 5th day,could not keep off the loo,spent the day in bed,being sick etc. on day 7 when we were due to leave i spoke to 9 people who had spent the day in bed as i had. One poor Lady had got the Doctor out to her, she had been told that she had food poisoning but she hadnt got it from this hotel,she told me that she had never left the hotel so where did she get it from,could it have been the dirty towels or the cool food?????
Entertainment was another story just dont expect any.

I am coming to Laganas on honeymoon in August. I'd like to know how far away this hotel is from the beach and whether it is in the centre of the resort or on the outskirts where , I hear, it is a little quieter! Also, what are the rooms like...comfortable or minimal? Cheers

We stayed at the Margarita last August and are going back on 22nd August. The hotel is great as is the food. We have to have a five bedded room and we did not get a camp bed. Everyone got a proper bed. Rooms are fresh and clean and have a fridge. Congratulations to both couples getting married in May. You will have a great day. There was a wedding when we were there and the hotel staff made a wedding cake as a surprise and decorated all the tables for the wedding party and sent the couple a card.

Are we to old hubby and I are taking two teenage sons 16 and 18 staying at Margarita for 2 weeks in July concerned we may be oldest there!!!!!!!

Me and 5 lads are4 going to this hotel on 23rd june really looking forward to it, sounds like the place is good, however can someone please clarify what the camp bed is like to sleep on as we have got a twin that sleeps 3 and a double room. What are the rooms like??

We are four eighteen yr olds and are really looking forward to our stay however, we have found a picture of people playing in the hotel pool, all in a circle and have found what looks like a naked man!!!!!! can anyone clarify this and whether what we think we can see is right!!!! thanks, any info on the hotel and Laganas greatly appreciated!

Margarita Fantastic place good food good drink good friends what more can you want.

In view of the plaudits this hotel has received on the web, which encouraged us to stay there, I feel I ought to redress the balance a little because it wasn't that good. We stayed at the Margarita hotel between 30th of September and 14th of October, although we had a good time there we found that the selection of drinks and food was very poor and wouldn't recommend this hotel for toddlers and fussy eaters. The staff were very friendly (even if they didn't know what drinks they stocked) and the hotel was kept very clean, having said that watch out for the mouse in room 104 it left several nice calling cards on my sisters bed (It was reported but nothing seemed to be done) the entertainers were good and unlike some hotels there was something happening every night even though it was nearing the end of the season. overall a good hotel if you're not too fussy.

Would recommend a stay to anyone. Everyone was so friendly and Thomas the entertainer was very fit ;-)(oh and David the waiter, mmmmmmmm!)
Everywhere was very clean and we didn't notice that any building work was going on at all.
Would recommend you go on the Lazy day tour - fantastic day out.

just got back from our first time here and i must say it was enjoyable apart rom the hard beds and pillows!!!! the food was ok and the staff were available when required if not over friendly. we learned some greek greetinga and we greeted them with them most occasions but were dissapointed when they replied in english and not greek. a great idea of having an adult pool seperate from the family pool. Aiya was superb with her entertainment. we cannot fault the cleanliness. overall we enjoyed our stay but i dont think we would rush to book again.

Got home on 30/09/03, bummer, we want to go back, can't wait for next year. A massive thanks to all the family & staff for making it an unforgetable 2 weeks. Special thanks to Aiya & Linda for the Poolside entertainment, especially the water polo (rugby). Dave(runner-up Mr Margarita,) and Kath Gellatly

Regarding the building work... I've just got back a matter of hours ago from a week's stay at the Margarita and I can assure you that the it's nothing to worry about. They do not start work early and we didn't hear any noise from it whatsoever, even though our rooms practically backed on to it!

The Margarita is a lovely hotel and I can't recommend it enough - anyone who visits will enjoy their stay and the staff will bend over backwards for you. Daniella at the pool bar even recognised me from my last stay there, which was nearly three years ago!

Hi, the building work has been going on for about 2 years now. When we went 2 years ago we also got a letter form the travel agents informing us and you could hear nothing at all. Been back a few times and still nothing, went in July/August this year and the building is still going on but I wouldn't be worried about it at all because you hardly even notice anything going on. I'm sure people who've been will agree there! It's just near to the adults pool, I very much doubt it would affect any of the rooms either. Hope this kind of sets your mind at rest a little!

I have Just got a letter from the travle agents saying there is building work going on next door.

We leave on Tusday for a week & I am quite conserned about this.

Hi everyone, just a short note from Mr Margarita 2003 and wifey and our friends Julie & Bob and not forgetting the Girls Carley & Joanne.
Really enjoyed ourselves, and would like to thank all the staff for their kindness and a special thanks to Adonis and Margarita for their hospitality ( and I trust Adonis remembers the card tricks I showed him)and I will post some photo's for others to see. Also enjoyed meeting up with our other friends, Anita Russell Victoria Keith Chris & Jim( Who I have a photo showing that jim is trying to look like me around the waistline!!)and cannot wait for all of us to meet up and exchange photo's. had a great time. hotel was spot on, food was gd. only thing that let it down for me was the entertainment for ages 14-17. everything seemed to be either for kiddies or adults. Laganas was wkd though. not really for young families in the town but great atmosphere for teens+. safe n friendly place 2b.

Victoria Slater and all her party were very nice people and cannot in any way be compared to the Germans. Who cares if they had the same sunbeds. I saw them there every day using them as my children were there with their children. Mr Kevin you need to get a life and not be quite so petty and complain about something so trivial I'm sure it didn't spoil your holiday.

If anyone want's to get the hotel dance song you will have to order it from a good record store. It is Alane by wes. We had a lot of trouble getting it as it was deleted in 1986 and is now only available on 7" vinyl. The CD single has also been deleted. We ordered it and it cost only £3.99. We are going back next year on 22nd August so hopefully we will know it perfectly.

It is so funny readin all this stuff bout Mr.Shaun!!Wot a boy!!!Got back from this hotel on the 26th and i want to be back there now!!!!The adult pool was gorgeous and Eija kept everybody constantly entertained!!!She has an unbelievebly massive amount of energy bless her shes so lovely!!!

From Sunday 3rd to the 17th of August we had one of the best and most relaxing holidays ever. If you are looking for a hotel, family run with good hosts,good food,clean,friendly staff and hard working entertainments team, then this is the place.
Our thanks especially go to Angela ( daily on the indoor bar )who helped make the holiday with her ever friendly presence.(It was a priveledge to have the Greek Language lessons from her on every visit I made to the bar).The three Finnish entertainers Eija,Evonlinna and Lynda who seemed to be working constantly and put every effort into all that they did.We wish them all the best on their return to Finland at the end of the season,and to all others who worked so hard behind the bar during day or night.Thanks to you all.
We are already having thoughts of a return trip next year.
Maybe by then I will have practised the moves of the Hotel dance.I would have been up on the floor more often but we were there on the same fortnight as MR.SHAUN and he seemed to be taking up all the room!!!!!

Got back on Tuesday 19th August. We had a great time. Hotel and food was excellent and the three kids loved every minute. The beach was excellent. All staff were very friendly and our family room was very spacious. Went to travel agent this morning to book to go back next year. Blacky the dog loves playing with a beach ball and running off with small boys swimming trunks, he was great. Aija, Eve and Lynda the entertainment girls are all lovely and make the evenings fun with quiz nights, bingo, race nights and much more. You must visit this hotel for a fantastic holiday. Breakfast is 8.30am to 10am, lunch 12.30pm to 2pm and dinner is 7.30pm to 9pm. You must have their pizza it's the best we've ever tasted. What more can I say jut simply the best.

Just got back from two fantastic weeks staying at what must be the friendliest hotel ever.
Bobbi & Toni, the owners, are the nicest hosts you are likely to find abroad and their hotel has a marvellous atmosphere, is spotlessly clean with excellent food.
For the adults there is the adult only pool situated at the front of the hotel surrounded with palm trees. Heaven.
For families the kids pool is situated at the back of the hotel and various activities take place during the day as well as entertainment in the evening.
This wonderful hotel is handy for the Laganas bars and main strip being only around 10 minutes walk away.
We travelled with First Choice who I have to say were excellent too.
So, if you are looking for a friendly, clean hotel with superb food and facilities, look no further than the Hotel Margarita.

Well, what a holiday, cant think where to start! We had the best time ever, the staff are great, with the odd exception of some of the evening bar staff, which we put down to haveing to work on a Friday and Saturday night Aya, Eve and Linda the entertainers were just so funny, even when they did'nt mean to be, I played bingo just to hear Aya call the numbers! Vonna and Dannella the poor bar staff were great, a real double act, can anyone let me know how Danella's love life is going!! We've already booked to go back next year and I cant wait.

Got back from Margarita 3rd August and wish i was still there. The food was excellent, staff really friendly, hotel spotless, entertainement team worked really hard especially Aya, suitable hotel for all ages and near the other shops and bars if you want to carry on drinking after midnight.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I have been to a few different Greek islands. Would certainly come back here.

i am off to the margerita on 9th september, i was wondering what the building itself is like? and what is the interior (the bedrooms etc) like. Would you say this hotel is suitable for a young couple?

We were a mixed group, three generations, with reservations as to whether it was the place for us. I would recommend it to anyone. It was the most relaxing holiday we've had. Food was excellent as was the service in all areas. The activities team, especially Aya, are to be commended (they don't have an easy job) our last week there Aya was joined by two girls who seemed to be on the same wave length as her - pity we had to come home.

Me and my girlfriend will be staying at the margarita hotel for a week from the 30th september, will anything still be open?.

Very nice, quiet and clean hotel with good standard of decor. 2 good sized swimming pools with the adult pool tranquil. Food was good and the bar service was excellent. Would definately go back. Dont be fooled by the room sizes as per brochure as our room and others were much smaller. Air conditioning a must at the cost of £30 per week. Very good location with the shops about 400yrds away and the beach 800yrds away. The entertainmnet in the night was quite poor although the entertainers tried their best due to the language barrier. The dogs were friendly "Blacky" the puppy was wicked and "Condoglishe" was laid back and loved to be stroked although "Blacky" loved all of the attention.

Am staying in the Margarita this September and would like to know how far in distance and/or time (walking or taxi) it is from the main strip of pubs/clubs. Me and my mate are staying there and will be looking to go into town later in the night. Any info would be great. Cheers.

Hi Jayne, We have just returned from margarita we had a suite that you outlined Plenty room for two adults in double roon seperated by door from two large kids 15&13 had plenty of room in twin bit. Good large bathroom,nice balcony big bonus was a fridge in suite we were comfortable.

First impressions are very good, the hotel staff are friendly, it looks clean and the staff work hard at keeping it that way. Unfortunately, the pet dogs are allowed to roam free including in the rooms as the maids are cleaning. One dog was seem relieving itself against a plant in the dining room and again outside the pool bar area by different people in our party. It also harassed guests including one of us. This was reported. Staff then pulled the dog into the bar area when they could hear it annoying guests. Bearing in mind food was prepared in the bar area, hygiene comes into question. Good for shops and away from the noise of the nighlife. 10 mins from beach. Nice pool. Varied food. OK entertainment.

Do not worry! I am 22yrs old and i went with my boyfriend 23, sister 20 and mum (40's) it is not an 18-30s very much a family hotel there was many people around our age but all with their families. the 18-30s hotels are on the second main strip which is about a 15 minute walk so your close enough to enjoy the bars but far away enough to get a decent nights sleep. Have a great time.

Hiya, the food is fine. Brekkie is a mixture of cereals or toast, bacon, sausages, fried egg, scrambeled egg, potato, tomatoes etc.. Lunch is very similar to the main evening dinner which varies but you will normally find, rice, pasta, chips, potatoes, salad, pizza, beef, chicken, fish.. if you dont fancy the lunch then you can grab a chip butty from the pool bar. There is something for everyone here, i managed fine and im a vegetarian so cant be bad :-)

hi!! i have just got back from a week hol at margarita hotel and it was brilliant!! i cant fault it one bit. the choice of food was superb, staff were really freindly and welcoming and the weather was nice and hot!!have got a great tan!! air con is a must if your room faces the sun like ours did and at 40e, it was worth it. bars and clubs were great and there is something for everyone. the strip was abit of a walk but taxis only cost 5e which is not bad! i will be recommending it to friends and families and definately want to return to the hotel!!

Hiya all inclusive is great, food is lovely with lots of variety (and im a veggie).
Beach is about 20 minutes walk if you go along the BIG strip but if you go the back way (stoney & long grass) its only about 10 mins.(we saw two lizards this way).
Air con was a must have for us lightweights and cost us 40euros for the week however it didnt work for two nights.
Id recommend you do the jeep safari and island coach tour while your there both trips cost us 74euros well worth it!
I was there this time last month and am missing it already!!

The hotel is superb, a family run place with staff that are very friendly and with an obsession for cleaning. The food was also top, with a great selection. Margarita coctails went down too well as well !
I was there on my honeymoon and had an excellent time. The entertainers were brilliant, I'd love to know where they get their energy!
I could go on forever but suffice to say that it's the only place I've been to that I'd go back to. I was sad to leave.

Just come back , we stayed at the margarita for a week , the weather was scorching hot every day , the staff at this family run hotel were very very friendly , the entertainment staff worked really hard making sure everyone has a good fun time . food was excellant . you can't fault this hotel one bit ,the only bad point of the holiday is the airport , its just like a cattle shed , it only takes 4 planes at a time and you have to wait outside the airport to book your luggage in , so take my advice and take plenty of drink with you , and also it is wise to pre book your seats if there is a party of you so that you are all sitting together on the plane , it only costs 7.50 euros . about £ 5.

What an excellent holiday i was so sad to leave on Tuesday!we had a brilliant time met loadsa people. would recommend the island tour 24e our guide was Jo and we got to learn alot about the island, also got to do the blue caves on this trip for 6e. A must is the jeep safari 50e we had steve as our driver what an experience it was great (hi to sid and abby).weather was hot hot hot thank god for the aircon! the hotel was great! but the langna was quite boring. we hired a car for a week and we did the whole of the island in 1 day. the ship reck is not worth seeing unless you like to be bored stiff.
i swam with them big turtles which was great!

We had the best time ever.The hotel the staff all Excellent.The rooms and food Excellent. I was a little taken a back when with the room key we were given a table number.It turned out well by the end of the week we had made some good friends.
We spent most of the week around the adult only pool with some great people. I would recommend the Jeep Safari we had a brill day (thanks to Steve the driver) Pauline and Jackie of course.

JUST RETURNED FROM A WEEK AT THIS EXCELLENT HOTEL. OUR FIRST EXPERIENCE OF "ALL INCLUSIVE" AND I SUSPECT WE PICKED THE BEST DEAL, OF THIS KIND,BY FAR. FACILITIES, STAFF AND FOOD WERE OUTSTANDING.
WE HAVE NEVER RECOMMENDED, NOR CONSIDERED RETURNING TO A HOTEL. BUT IN THIS CASE WE WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING AND WOULD RECOMMEND THE MARGARITA HOTEL TO ANYONE.

We had a great time. The hotel was great, cheerful and friendly staff. Food fantastic - great choices. We went 20th May so entertainment was not so good as they had not long opened for the season but none-the-less it was enjoyable and entertaining to a minimum. The resort was great, lots of shops and bars. The beach was a little way but worht it. Recommend to hire a car to see the Island and do go to a Greek Night and see the sunset at Kampi. Hi, is anyone going to be at the Margarita at the end of July? I go on the 27th (arrive 28th - awful flight from Newcastle!) for 2 weeks. I'm going back for the 4th time and I can't wait to be back!
Has anyone already been this season? What it like - whats changed, heh. Hope all the smiley barstaff are still there (Katherina, Daniella etc etc!) Entertainment team look wicked and look like they know how to have a laugh (just looked at the picture)!!

hey got bk from the Margarita 25th May it was great the entertainers were great. even better when u take them out clubbin when they've finished work.so if ur up for a laugh and like going out get them 2 go with you.Also just to add the hotel is great and the drink all day long is the best idea ever.so who eva is going to the Margarita Hotel its one of the best idea's youve had.Hope you all enjoy yourself. Yes the air conditioning has been installed but it costs 40 euros per week extra. Have a nice holiday!

EXELLENT HOTEL DESERVES A HIGHER RATING HHAS NOW GOT AIR CON FOR €10 PER DAY, FOOD BRILL AND BAR SERVICE VG EVEN THOUH IT IS AI VERY LITTLE WAIT FOR SERVICE POLLS SPOTLESS AND POOL BAR FOOD SPOT ON.

I am staying at the Margarita from 27th May 2003 with my wife and small child (Age 2). From what I have read it looks like we will have a great time, but I am a bit worried about how to keep the little one amused. Does the hotel have any suitable facilities or will he just have to make do with a big cardboard box and a ball.

Stayed here 4th to 11th May 2003, We were a group of 53 people whose ages ranged from 10yrs to 74yrs, singles, married couples & 3 children. We did not like this hotel, WE ALL, ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!
While the evening entertainment was not up to much, I am sure they will improve it. (We were the first booking of the season).In Tony & Margarita- the owners- & their family, you will find a very warm welcome to a family run hotel that is kept spotlessly clean, with really good food (dont go here if you are trying to lose weight), and
cheerful,friendly (and pretty) bar staff.
The only disappointment was nothing to do with the hotel,this was the boat trip to the blue caves&the village of Keri. Quite honestly
34 of our group went on this trip&all of them thought it a rip-off.
Food & drink on the boat was expensive, & Keri is a one horse town
except the horse has (unsurprisingly) pissed off. There is one small
supermarket & three restaurants, each of these places are at least 70% more expensive than those in Laganas,Kalamaki or Tsvili and with

RE: DEBBIE TURNER, the hotel does not have a set dress code of its own, well it hasnt for the past 2 years anyway. obviously theyd prefer people to dress appropiately, which the majority of people do anyway. as for IFTICA, all i am going to say is that its a person and believe me youll soon know when you come across him. hope you have a brill holiday, if iftica is there can you let me know on this site when you get back. thanx

were at the margarita in late august early september 2002,only 1 problem with the place was, there dog pissing up peoples legs and furniture in the dining hall (and the sofas)one night the dog had the runs,i told them on reception,where the young lad came out with a mop, no bucket,mopped it up then just walked straight back into the kitchen with it dripping,other than that and the thunder storms it was a brilliant holiday.

i went 2 zante september 2002 had a great time realy friendly place gud clubs would like 2 go back any 1 who reads this they sould go if u go doint get ur first idea form the airport its realy small and doesnt look good. but once u get 2 your hotel ect u will have a great time. If u go 2 laganas stay at the margarita hotel entertanement not so good but bars just a 5 min walk

Hi Janet, Just gonna be helpful and answer your questions. The holiday company for the Margarita is First Choice, but the hotel doesn't actually open until May, when the season starts, so I doubt you'll be able to book for there in mid April!! Hope that answers your questions!

I need some help. Was trying to book this hotel for mid April but my tour operater doesn't take bookings for here until May. Does anyone know if it's open and what holiday company does the bookings for the rest of the year?

am actually in zante at the mo in a net cafe!loving it here, everyone really friendly and will do everything to help you out!entertainment ok, but could be better.food fab,staff lovely,and sophie(rep)is a credit to first choice.only niggle is flying back at six am, but its made our holiday cheaper by doing so, so i guess its worth it!

loved it!!was there when pool shut for ONE day (not a couple as previously mentioned by one guest!!)sophie the rep was brilliant and made what could have been a annoying situation run v smoothly.she sorted out three other pools for our use!the hotels brill and the food excellent, can't wait for next year!keep smiling soph, and hotel staff!!

Mark: I've been to the Margarita twice now, and I'm going back for a 3rd visit at the end of October. I was there last year in October and I thought it was absolutely brilliant! Everybody there, like I have said before, is so friendly and would seriously do anything to help you! Thats what I have found anyway! Zante in October is still good plenty to keep ya busy , although this year I'm a bit scared about the weather, from what I gather it's been quite wet for most of the summer :S we only had one day of rain last year and it seriously lashed it down, but still we were lucky! Anyway, I am sure you will enjoy you're holiday no matter what, the entertainment is excellent, (Iftica, Caroline & Rachel are amazing :->) aswell as all the other staff in the hotel. Pools, drinks (peach vodka :P is lush) & food are all brilliant! Sorry for going on a bit, as you can tell i am a bit biased because I love the place! But anyway ENJOY IT

I have managed to book me and my partner in for two weeks (13th Oct - 27th Oct 2002). Anyone been to Zante b4 in Oct or even to the margarita hotel (or even travelling on the same date)? What can we expect ?

We stayed at the hotel between 11th & 25th August. We were attracted to this hotel as it states in the brochure that there is an adults only pool - don't believe everything you read, we had to complain on numerous occasions! The family pool was closed for a few days while we were there, which added to the fun - not! (thanks for the complimentary bottle of wine) - some kids came out in a rash! It was like a cattle market at mealtimes - we used to go down early for the entertainment. We would like to thank Margarita and her family for a lovely stay. Also thanks go to Caroline, Rachel & Iktaka (thanks for arranging the flowers for us) for some hilarous entertainment - on and off stage! We met some lovely people when we stayed and in general it was good but we didn't like Laganas very much - it is a beautiful island though! By the way there isn't a cash bar after midnight -alcohol is local & pretty awful!

just got back from a fortnights great holiday , the food is very well cooked but slightly repetitive, everyone on the hotel staff give 100%all of the time.nothing is too much trouble for them .the entertainment staff are well suited to the job and just so much fun (iffys jamaican bingo is really something else),the evening's entertainment is not to be missed.just a shame some parents cant controll thier children's behaviour late at night.the only black mark for the fourtnight was a family from hell who insulted and verbally abused numerous staff over a minor problem regarding the pool wich was rectified within 48 hours at great expence to the hotel.overall the best holiday weve had abroad and we wish we hadnt booked for rhodes next year already.we arrived as stranges but left with many new friends.paula(nottingham),joanne,aaron,aidan and mitchell.

Fantastic holiday spoilt only by constant stalking by a mad Scottish couple!! Kept following me on his bike every morning!! Iftica and Caroline kept smiling all the time!!!!!!! well what can i say a brilliant holiday food was good, weather brilliant rooms comfy hired a fan due to no air conditioning but you cant have every thing. Margarita well what a lady always smiling even when things get rather loud with miserable moeney guests(if you were there last week 18 aug) you will know what we mean . thanks to the entertainment team for all their hard work and iffy what can i say so much energy.hope to return again one day.

Home a week already. Had a great time with our new special holiday chums from Evesham. Loveley to see the staff again. Iftika, Caroline & Rachel kept us well amused (where's the promised water aerobics cd Iffy?) Will definitely visit again sometime in the suture (sorry Future) - made a real Quincy mistake there har har har) Missing the rum ba-bas and the morning cycle rides - although I bet Caroline is not missing our cycle rides!!!! If you want a laugh, visit Cosy Corner for coffee at 7am to see all the party animals getting home from the night before. Special thanks to Margarita - she's luverly.

we had a great time for all others going to hotel the place grows on you its very clean and friendly staff great holiday for kids as well the two pools are a great idea with fron pool quieter than back pool where all party games go on food of a good standard but a wider choice of kids meals would be idea ie chicken nuggets and fish fingers other wise a great selection with the soups delicious. the drinks were ok but very poor selection of fruit vodka only water melon and normal melon i would of like to have seen more. ice creams on free for under 12 yr olds night time entertainment good especially iffko we never won bingo, the wasps and bees are out but drinkl water by front pool and the dont seem to bother you if you have fruit drinks they swam around you, every day at least 1 adult or child got stung but i found them no problem. avoid the wet and wild trip it is a waste of money and badly organised. room need air conditioning but hiring a fan will keep it cooler night life great pubs all shut at 4 am shopping not to bad good for clothes shopping for women and girls. fot more infor email me at cutzandplasters@aol.com finally i will be going back again if i get a good deal its worth stopping at bob and michelle

Yes keep those 2002 wasp reports coming in!!! Also hear of new local legislation stating that it now illegal to serve Scotsmen flavoured vodka in the month of August??? Alarming news but means more for us!!!! One week to go and the time is dragging until the return to the best hotel in the Med!!! We need to encourage more feedback on here!!!

In answer to the last question - I would bring the full works including full strength waspoff, full face mask and gloves and a blunderbus with lots of leadshot. just had 2 weeks at margarita, if going out soon be warned it is VERY hot and there is no air conditioning in rooms, however you can hire a fan for 20e per week, also the air con is only on for a short time in the lounge, it would have been better if it was on constant as it was so hot, also if going soon take plenty of mozzie spray, the little loves are out in force. margarita herself is wonderful and very helpful, also kate the first choice rep is alway on hand, if you are a confidant driver i would recommend hire a jeep yourself and do your own thing it is much cheaper and you see more, cost us apx £80 for 3 FULL days by the way enjoy the airport experience

We are staying at the hotel Margarita in August and would like to know if the beach is very close? also is there public transport available nearby so that we could visit other parts of the Island? If so what are the prices like?

KIM MITCHELL, myself and family are also staying at the margarita from the 16th july, it will be our second visit. we personally cannot fault the place.we have 2 kids 10 and 13 and last year we hardly knew they were with us.the pool is where they spend most of their time along with the pool tables and ping pong.im pretty sure your kids will love it.

Hello to all you lucky people who have yet to visit the Margarita. This was our first visit and will definately not be our last. We cannot praise the hotel, staff, cleanliness, food and not forgetting the entertainment team(Iffy, Rachel and Caroline) highly enough. It is just over a week since we got back and we are still missing the wacky trio(life just doesn't seem to be the same anymore)-you will know what we mean when you have EXPERIENCED them. Things not to miss are beef on sat, chilli on fri, cheeseburger and chips outside, water aerobics(a must), binggooo to win some Eurrrrooooo(especially Jamaican bingo), and the infamous Saturday Night Fever show which is an absolute must. well what can i say appart from whos your daddy!!!!! stayed here for 2 weeks (8-22 may) and formed part of wigwams (down in one down in one down in one!) Iffy definitely lives up to his name- we all thought he was a colombian drug lord (watch out for the waist coat!) Had a fantastic time, and would reccomend it to anyone!! If you visit here dont forget to ask rachael, and caeoline about their presents from the wigwams (bzzzzz). Big shout out to Dj andy (hot lips) , and out to Adrianos espaligasgos, and his cool missus -Kelly (you know who you are) If you go be sure to push yannis in the pool- he loves it!

Just got back to the cold cold weather(10 degrees in Glasgow!!!) Hotel Margarita was absolutely amazing and Lagana was beautiful bars absolutely amazing despite everywhere closing down, hopefully we'll be back next year to see all the amazing hard working staff (How do ya all do it!!) Everyone was just so friendly, made our stay so much better, I just loved it!!!! Wanna be back now!! (oh if "Boobs" or "Baldy" read this email me ok!!!!)

We stayed for two weeks at the Margarita from the 2nd Oct- 16th. It was our first all inclusive and we couldnt of picked a better hotel. The hotel provides a first class service, immaculate rooms. Excellent food, with a varied three courses for the whole two weeks. And the Entertainment was superb. Iffy, Ailsa and Caroline were the best team we have ever meet. And Iffys dance steps were worth the holiday price on its own!! We are DEFINATELY coming back next year. Itll be nice to see everybody again. And once again I cant stress how freindly and excellent the hotels staff were. I will be recommending this hotel to everybody I know. All the Best to all the team!! Ricky Hever ( TWINKY**)

Well the only words to sum up this beautiful place is totally great.we could not have vistited a much nicer place if we tried . the food was great and the bars were alive every night, also the entertainment was second to none and the people were so so freindly ( iftica, ailsa , caroline and the margarita crew ).it has something for everyone. its a place that you jus never want to leave and that as the holiday goes on it jus gets better and better. if i had to advise anyone of what place to visit this with out a doubt would be top of the list and we will definatly be back!!!!

after numerous all inclusives this is simply the best. The Hotel Margarita was great. It was my first experience of all-inclusive and I have to say that it was a great experience. The hotel facilities are superb for all types of visitors - although they do need to do something formal about kids in the "adults only" pool!! The rooms are very good. Very clean and roomy. En suite shower was ideal. Remote controlled TV was a bonus for those early afternoon chillout sessions in from the sun for an hour or so... The food was great and lots, LOTS, LOTS of it...I reckon I put on half a stone whilst out there... The entertainment was "Simply the Best!!" Iffy and Angela obviously put sooooo much effort into everything they do...from the pool aerobics to the nightly shows...I never thought I would enjoy Bingo...Saturday Night Fever gave us a brilliant last night at the hotel. I don't think I'll ever see the movie in quite the same light again!! I don't know where you two get all that energy from...early morning aerobics, afternoon games, evening shows, night bar crawls... The one thought which stayed with me all throughout my holiday was about how hard those guys work - unbelievable!! I hope you're all very well paid...you deserve it. my family and i have stayed in the margarita 15 times. we have watched the hotel grow but slowlyif first choice don,t get to greedy it will remain an excellant holiday destination. the family who own the hotel are really wonderful and always do their utmost for their guests. please do not expect the ritz as obviously fergie 25 july 2001 did get a life girl and don,t be such a moaner if the place was perfect you would not be on a beautiful greek island in agreat location oh! by the way i have traveled extensively so i do know whats good and whats bad. as for iftica hiya buddy see you in sept as we will be making our second visit there this year. are you jealous??good car hire in lagana is euro zante just along the kalimaki rd near to giorgios restaurant which is good also. travellers rest bar is not bad you also have rumours cocktail bar frindly and not bad prices. go out and tour the island even if you are all inclusive it is stuning plenty to see and do you must go back to visit for many years as we have over the last fourteen to see it all enjoy your holiday and relax and the margarita is a good place to start yasso kalo taxithi

Back in Scotland and back at work (grumble-groan) Had a fab time at the Margarita - could easily be back next year. Well we had a brilliant holiday at the Margarita. The food was excellent(too much choice). The accommodation was very nice and the staff were the friendliest we have ever come across. But for my family and friends the icing on the cake was Iftika Well Done and Angela the Chip Queen who worked incredibly hard and gave 100% at all times. We had a blast and hope very much to return some time in the future. One last message must go to Vonna at the pool bar, you are a lovely lady we told your boss to work you less and pay you more!!!!!!! Speedo Man,Carribean Queen Bev,James the Rat, Jasmine,Alby,Debbie,Karaoke Natalie & Rascal Robbie.

Food was good, too good if you don't put weight on, well. The pools are good. The staff are fine. To make it perfect the rooms need air con, fans are expensive to hire. The entertainers try really hard, Anegela (the sweedish) girl and Ifica ("well done") the camp chap (possibly indian extraction) who wears balck in a big way. A bit of outside varity would be good. We had a really good time. Ionian car hire let us down in a big way. Fox in the main drag was basic but cheap. The Bikes needed looking after, most were broken or flat tyres. All in all it was good/great.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Margarita on the 26th June, and had a wicked time. We met loads of nice people and thanks to Iffie we made fools of ourselves on stage a number of times, especially the competitions involving bananas!! If you see this Iffie, Blondie wants to know if anyone has beaten the press ups competition in Mr Margarita? Thanks for some good memories.

We stayed there for two weeks ending 07/08/01 and had a great time. Thanks to Iftika and Angela for the enternainment it was excellent. Hi this is Iftica (The Entertainer!!) again, just a quicky to say a big thank you to all the lovely guests we have had out here. We are so happy that you guys enjoyed yourselves, it makes us being out here worth it!! Just a little note though to Fergie who used to frequent the Crocs bar, I have never had a singing lesson in my life but everyone else really enjoyed my singing. I am staying at the Noula apartments in Laganas, and have been told that we share facilities with the Hotel Margarita. I would like to know if we can use all the facilites?

I stayed at the Margarita with my boyfriend for a week from 3rd July and we simply couldnt fault it! The entertainment was great as Iftica was extremely amusing along with the girls! It was about a 15min walk to the main street so the hotel was away from all the noise but not too far to walk back drunk!!! Thanks to all the people from Margarita as you made our holiday the best we've ever been! See you again in a couple of years time!!!

THE HOTEL HAS NO AIR CONDITIONING AND FANS ARE A MUST BUT AT £10 EACH PER WEEK THEY ARE A TAD EXPENSIVE. FOOD IS OK BUT GETS BORING AFTER FIRST 4-5 DAYS. KIDS CLUB IS ALMOST NON EXISTANT - HALF AN HOUR IN MORNING AND HALF IN AFTERNOON AND NOT VERY ORGANISED AT THAT. THE ENTERTAINMENT TEAM WERE OK AS LONG AS YOU DONT ACTUALLY LISTEN TO THEM SINGING AS MY CAT SINGS BETTER THAN IFFY. SOME OF THE STAFF COULD DO WITH LESSONS ON CUSTOMER CARE, ALTHOUGH THE TWO LADIES ON THE SNACK BAR OUTSIDE WERE EXCELLENT. ALSO THE ONLY THINGS THAT KEPT THE KIDS AMUSED APART FROM THE POOL WERE THE POOL TABLE AND THE PING PONG AND THESE HAVE TO BE PAID FOR WHICH YOU DONT EXPECT ON ALL-INCLUSIVE. ONLY SAVING GRACE WAS THE CROCS BAR IN LAGANAS. CHEERS

I had a great time. The food was nice, The hotel location was ok and the entertainment was lovely. The entertainers were great, they would get you to participate up on stage if you wanted to or not. Of course I did but my mum and dad weren't as pleased. But it was a laugh!!. It's one of the best holidays i've ever had thanks to Iftica and Angela.

We stopped in apartments behind this hotel where the pool and evening entertainment invaded our privacy so much. You were so noisy and totally oblivious to other people. Turn your amps down. You spoilt a lovely island.

We went early June. A good family hotel and ideal for couples. Not recomended for singles although we met a great bunch of single people of all sexual deviations!! Ifti, Kevan and the "Single,Swedish blonde" were great fun on a pub crawl on the last night. Can you get more than three people on the back of Ifti's scooter??? Eat & drink all you can and try the melo vodka!!! Have fun

staff very friendly.entertainment is entertaining a hotel i would definatly recommend. my only moan is that the rooms on the first floor are not of the same good standard that the rest.those in the new complex (family rooms)are definatly of a much higher standard to the one my wife and i were in.finally i just hope the bridge and bingo brigade give kev and ifty a chance to entertain you without them the place would definatly lose some of its sparkle!

The food, entertaiment and everything was wonderful, with free bikes to explore the countryside but within walking distance of the Beach.
