Oh yeh how could I forget...................................... Vassilis what a hunk lol !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 What can I say?????PLAZA 11.... This has to be the best hotel I've stayed at in Laganas, came back 4 days ago and miss it so much .George and his family are lovely friendly people who will bend over backwards to help you.We had a small problem of a few girls bullying my daughter and he sorted it within hours and left us to enjoy the rest of our holiday. These apartments are spacious clean and ideal.... depemding on whether or not you get a studio or apartment of course... we got the advantage of sea views aswell as pool views.If you want a good holiday with a small community atmosphere and a chance to make new friends like we did then I suggest you go here.The beach is a 2 minute walk, the main strip is a 5 minute walk if you go over the beach.The shop over the road is also run by George and his family and is very reasonable,the food at the pool bar excellent and cheap. We are going to book again as soon as possible!!!

Just got back from the Plaza II two days ago with my wife an daughter(5)  and already missing it. The Location is excellent only 2 minutes from the main strip you just have to dodge the crazy man at the top of the road to get their. George and his family provide the best hospiltality we have ever had on a holiday and vikki behind the bar is always there to provide you with booze and local knowledge. Hannah the Manos rep was also excellent and is always good to have a laugh with. The hotel can be a bit noisy at night depending on what is going on but if you close the doors on the balcony you wont here a thing. Food is excellent and very cheap in the hotel bar and the shop over the road is also good value for money. I am rebooking for next year as soon as possible.

plaza 1 - complete madness!! rooms were very basic but clean! only a small walk from the beach and the strip! would definatly go back!! staff are the friendliest in the world - bestest holiday ever!!

plaza 1 - not for families! completely unsup**vised basically plaza 2 is the new one and plaza 1 has been abandoned but don't let that put you off 3 min walk from strip and free to do what you want!

plaza 2 was the best. just got back from there we went for 2 weeks the 7 SCOUSERS we ad a boss laugh. met loads of people. good old stuart and the gang. GEORGE and the family are the best happy to help anytime lol..  rooms are a bit basic like but ya not in them that much anyway. if anyone is going soon ya will have a boss time wish we was going back there. maybe next year hey!!!!

just like to say that George and his family and vicky at the plaza 11 were ace they are the most friendly hoteliers ive ever had, and whilst ever your in the bar they will stay and serve you no matter what time it is, apartments were a bit noisy but i think thats due to laganas being the In place this year,great location as well , would recommend definetly 4 the youngsters, maybe not families untill , out of season.

THE BEST EVER!!! Plaza 2 was the best place on the whole island.  The location was spot on, and we met loads of people there,  I was also with the group of 20 and it was perfect as there was a lovely friendly atmosphere and even with a big group like us it was sooo chilled.  If you want any info or have any questions please feel free to email me. have just got back from week staying at plaza 2 with 20 friends and had the most amazing time ever! the accomodation was great with lovely friendly staff and the best location we couldnt have asked for anything more, the beach was a two minute walk and the town was less than 5 minutes away. it was perfect!

Hey everyone! First I'd like to recommend these apartments, apart from being a bit noisy, they're brilliant! But I was wondering if anyone knew the name of the barman who I think is Scottish (?!) because I never got a chance to talk to him and I really liked him and so would love to just know his name! Just got back yesterday from the plaza II, had a great time again!!!! Like its been said before, George and his family can't do enouth to help you. He even has the shop across the road now so no need for a trek to the shop for water etc. You are up for a great time if your to stay here, and its a good mix of people who stay there as well. You never know...might even be back for a third visit!x

Georges is a great place to go for all age groups it is right in the centre of laganas.  Me and my boyfriend have been going for the last four years now and it is great.  The accommodation is excellent and really clean.  The whole family are so friendly but watch out for Vasilli hes one for ladies.   

OMG all these comments sound fab!! 6 of us girls goin, 2 of us in the plaza 1 and 4 in the plaza 2, from the 19th - 26th June for a week of partyin!! Let us know if ur goin round the same time.

Stayed @ the Plaza 2 last year and coming back in a weeks time! Can't wait to stay there again, George and family are so helpful and you can't knock the location of this place. Yes it's basic but it's clean and the pool is great. So much so that last year when i was there, there were tons of workers from the clubs lazing round the pool!

Me and my family go to George's every year and we all love it it's a great place for kids me being one myself I loved it ! I would reccomend it to anyone that has kids or wants to relax !  It's great  !!

omg i stayed at plaza 2 last summer and it was absolultey amazing........ there were 11 of us crazy girls... we did get a few complaints but it was very hard to keep 11 of us quiet for that long!!! anyway i just wanna recommend plaza 2 its wicked, really nice food, really nice pool, really nice people!!! also laganas is the most beautiful place ever. we all lurrrvedd it and this year im going back out but im going to work for a month to get hold of sum extra money 4 the summa!! if your going anytime soon have a wicked time guys! oh and hey george!!! xxx sam xx

me my husband and 3yr 0ld stopped in plaza II last june and really enjoyed it the family who own them are really nice and were especially nice to our daughter we are going back this year but with our 10 month old son as well last time i was 6 months pregnant hoping to have just as nice a time this time if not better looking forward to it anybody know the PLAZA II email address

Me and my two mates stayed at the Plaza II last August, it was brilliant I would recommend it to families and young people as it the location is fantastic, a few min from the beach, near shops and restaurants and about 5mins from the nightlife, it is soo close yet there is no noise at night. The apartments are clean but basic, pool fantastic, it is family run and they are very friendly. Try the snack bar by the pool - they do everything! And go to Rescue and Medousa bars.

I note your comments about enjoying Steak Dinners in the first Restaurant at the end of the dirt track on the right whilst you stayed at this accommodation. Was this The Persipolis Restaurant? I enjoyed many a night there when I was on my own on holiday in July once my friend went home. The staff in there were all very friendly, especially Zeros the owner. I also got friendly with their PRs as well. They always took the time to chat to me even if I was by myself. I always felt relaxed in here and it was my last call for drinks in the evening before going back to Plaza II. The food in there was good and also reasonably priced.

I have stayed in Plaza I a while ago and Plaza II more recently and would agree that George and the family always make you welcome and any complaints I have ever had are always rectified A.S.A.P.

Next year I am booked to stay there in June (1 Week) and July (2 Weeks). I am really looking forward to it as usual and I have been staying at this family's apartments since 1999.

These are definetely the best apartments in Laganas (and we have tried a few!). The rooms are of good size, and all balconies have a pool view. The location is excellent, so close to the main strip, and so close to the beach. You will be treated to some real Greek hospitality by George and his family, and will go home happy after your holiday here.
Try the first restaurant to the right (at the end of the dirt track) where they do wonderful steak dinners. Also try the Odyssey restaurant (across from Cozy Corner, next to Strings Bar) where the food is of brilliant quality, and very reasonable prices. The Pink Panther is a good bar too, where Jimmy will ensure you get seated together.
If you don't have a wonderful holiday staying here, then you should just stay at home, because the people, and the island are lovely. The only drawback is the airport (extension due to finish in 2007!), but don't let that put you off.
We find the best time to go is May/June. October is okay too, but there seem to be a lot of flies about then! (very annoying when eating!)
Book these apartments and have a brilliant holiday!

hi all, just got back from laganas on thursday, stayed at the plaza 1 with my girlfriend.just been reading some of the other comments, and thought i'd add some of my own. fair enough, the pool wasn't exactly cleaned all the time, but your in greece, so you can just go to any pool you want, providing you buy drinks from their bar. all the staff are friendly and the beach is only 2mins walk away. the main bars strip is about 5 mins away too. people are complaining that it was too noisy, but i don't know what they can expect if they book up to laganas.fair enough, it's not very quiet for familys wanting to go to bed at 10 or whatever,but surely they have been told it is a lively, fun resort. maybe not. anyway, plaza 2 literally 30 seconds away from plaza 1, and the pool is much better there. loads of restaurants to choose from, so eating out is never a problem. bananas is a good place to start the night, as it's the closest pub to plaza's.mad murphy's is the place to go for good music,drinks and general crack. clubs are open til late(4-6ish depending on what day it is)..just watch out if you're a soft touch, as there are kids in the streets til the early hours, selling glow sticks and s**t.not very nice to see, but they're persistent little buggers, and try and get you to buy them any way they can. beach is long and narrow, but one of the best bits. always clean, beautiful water. we took a boat cruise around the island, which was good. got to jump off and swim in the sea. only thing is, during the day, you get pestered evey 2 mins from people trying to sell copied cd's & dvd's. i'm still hearing voices saying "cd's cd's" in my sleep. overall though, a good holiday and a good resort,and excellent location.

I have stayed in Plaza 1 & Plaza II Apartments.

Plaza 1 were the only apartments in 1999. I was impressed with these apartments at that time but all the action was on the spot there before Plaza II opened in 2000. My Sister & I stayed in these apartments again in 2000 but felt they went downhill after the Bar, Reception etc. and all the rest of the facilities were moved to Plaza II. George, the owner seemed to forget Plaza I existed. People had no consideration for other people on holiday there at that time as you have mentioned e.g. noise at all hours of the day or night, pool wasn't cleaned etc. I would not specifically book to stay in Plaza 1 now at all as I look on these apartments only as a place to put your head down and get sleep if your lucky from what I have heard of other guests that have stayed there in recent years.

I stayed in Plaza II Apartments in 2001. It was very nice then when we stayed there. Couldn't complain about the place at all.

This year I stayed in Plaza II again. Firstly, upon arriving the Fridge had not been defrosted on previous occupants departing. I defrosted the Fridge myself in error by pushing a button inside the Fridge, but in the end this was to my benefit. George did see to this problem immediately I reported it.

I also had a problem with the roof in my Bathroom. The first night I was there I saw a pool of water on the bathroom floor that was coming from the roof above. I reported this to George and he saw to the problem again immediately. The water was coming through to my room when the occupants in the room above me were having a shower. They were obviously having the water on at quite a force and their shower bowl was then overflowing. Blokes were above me at first. Once they went home the problem stopped. I was on the bottom floor of the apartments.

I was staying there the first 3 weeks of July. The first week was peaceful enough. I had a nice couple next door to me with a 3 year old. The next 2 weeks were terrible but more at night from 7 P.M. 3 Blokes were staying next door. They used to play their music really loudly and get absolutely wrecked with alcohol. Eventually at 12.30 P.M. they used to go out for the evening at last after disturbing everyone else staying within our block. I know people let their hair down when on holiday but this was beyond the joke. They had no consideration for other people at all. They also used to be shouting and banging doors until they went out. I never complained but other people next door to them did. They did get told off as the Rep. told me about it one day but obviously did no good so I was glad to get home for some peace at night once they arrived. Unfortunately, I had to put up with them for 2 weeks until my holiday ended. I was quite lucky that most nights I was never home until 2 A.M. from 9 P.M. but the few nights I did experience them was really irritating. To me they should have been told to be quieter and consider other people more or be thrown out of the apartments and put home. I was glad I had no young children with me as they would never have got any sleep but other families unfortunately did have to put up with this problem.

If I haven't been staying in George's Apartments I have always used his facilities since 1999. Up until this year I could not have complained at all about anything within his accommodation or facilities. This year there seemed to be a lot of 18-30s age group staying there. A lot of them were very loud and took over the pool etc. This place used to cater for all age groups and families without any problem. My Sister & I are more peach people which is just as well as the odd day or two it was not nice sitting at the pool due to rowdy people. A lot of people that come to these Apartments have came back year after year. I hope this year has not put people off staying there.

Apart from the above complaints I did have a good holiday here and would still go back again to this accommodation but would hope George is going to tighten things up a bit as regards the minority of rowdy people spoiling things for other guests. George and his family are all very nice friendly people and go out of their way to make their guests stay enjoyable so let's hope this place is not going to be taken over and ruined by 18-30s crowd. Not all were like this but a good majority of them were.

My Sister & I go to the Clubs etc. as well every night and enjoy a good drink on holiday the same as everyone else but let's respect other people on holiday as well.

At Plaza II, George and his family have Karaoke Nights, Weekly Barbacue Nights, Film Showings etc. Also, they do very good food during the day and evening. They try their best to cater for everyone and all age groups but let's respect the family as well.

Ollie (Manos Rep.) to me was a very good Rep. and I did not envy his job with all the complaints he was receiving from guests while I was there in July as they always seemed to be mainly about "rowdy guests".

Anyone thinking of booking a holiday at Plaza II don't hesitate to book as let's not let the 18-30s minority of people take over this accommodation.

Where do you want me to start if you love getting woken at 2/3pm every morning this is the place for you. this should be a 18/30 apartments. also advise you to take ear plugs with you as you are woken with people banging their doors morning noon and night, reported it which was of no avail. Hubby got 2 electric shocks from the shower as the lights are not fitted right and it is a metal ceiling so when you touch the shower next to the water well here`s Johnny. I am in the process of writing to Manos regarding all. so I advise anyone if you want to have a holiday where you do not have a sleep this is the one for you. Also another couple in Plaza 1 had to go to another swimming pool as the pool was never cleaned but was getting used for other activities early in the morning which I think you all no what I mean, so have a good holiday as we will not be back to Plaza 11 . You might feel I am being a bit petty but myself and hubby both work in stressful jobs and we save all the year round for a relaxing holiday. Yes so might other people but have some consideration for others. when you are banging doors, mobile phones, and flip flops clamering up the stairs in the early hours of the morning.

well i dont no where to start went the plaza1 august 12th til august 26th our first day was a nightmare if u get room 16 UNLUCKY
i nearly cried when i walked in we went to the reception and a few hours later finally managed to get our rooms changed to room 13 still non fantastic but after a few days felt like home
Balcony above the pool and bein able to watch the sexy cockneys every day, whit woo, didnt really speak to any of the other neighbours think 1 got a great dd shock ha ha would most likely go back as the location was good, whether they would have us back is different ha ha

any one going 30th of september to plaza 1# go to the reps meeting and ask r u s pat and john we #;r hiring 'a car are any one of yous want to share the experience of driving round the island ;and if it is good #.stay at another resort for the night and re -turn in the morning .we stop at another resorts and it costs about 25euros a night per couple.cheaper than a trip ;and no ties ,we are a couple and love greece so .you go and do your thing we will do ours.ps we love kareaoke pubs.we r 50 to 55.going on 30ish ha ha.love 2 have a good nignt and keep 18 2 30 awake all night.we are last to bed.

is plaza 1 and 2 all in one or seperated by a road or pathway.?is there plenty of karaokes about.

The Tele No for George at Plaza is 00 30 26950 52419, but he doesn't rent his rooms out privately - they are exclusive to Manos. You can rent the apts overlooking the pool area (beside the steps leading to the main road) which are nice inside & have catering facilities, and will only cost 20-30 E per day per apt. Just phone 00 30 26950 52511/92032/52712. You can also rent the rooms at the other side of the pool (just across the small road) for 10-20 E per room per night (room only) and George might have the details for them.

I think the Plaza is ideal for kids - although we normally go in May. There is a swimming pool, and the location is just a few metres from the beach and the main street. MacDonalds & Pizza Hut are very close by, and George & his family will go out of their way to welcome you. All apts face the pool, it might be an idea to ask for a ground floor room, if poss, as the floors are marble. The bar area has a hotel feel about it, and has a massive TV with Satellite. We travel as a family group (from young to old) and the Plaza is suitable for us all, especially the location. You will have a great time.
We are going back to Laganas in Oct, but couldn't get booked for the Plaza, so have to stay elsewhere unfortunately. Ideally they are brilliant.

Require some advice on Plaza II.

Is this accommodation suitable to take a 2 yr old to.

Also any ideas as to where these apartments are located in laganas.

This year was the 5th time i have visited Laganas and it gets better everytime.We didnt stay at George's Plaza apartments this year however i have been there before and can say that the rooms are flawless and exellently located to the beach/bars. We spent most of our time at the Plaza by the pool in the day, and getting drunk in the bar at night.(usually thanks to vicky & vassilis) The owner george and his family are some of the nicest people you will meet, and so to is vicky who helped make our last nite memorable! deffo see you next year, luv & peace will.

Comment for people travelling this year we have travelled 3 times so far with Manos Holidays mytravel.co.uk website which was good. Stayed at Plaza 11 twice, very friendly people, George and family. There is a nice chinese restaurant called Dragon Garden & the Akropolis at the top of a hill, only 10 mins walk well signposted, near cosy corner well worth it food was lovely expecially the kleftiko. Didn't have a bad meal in and restaurant though! Laganas is only 10 Euro's taxi fare and 15 mins from the airport so if you don't want to wait for the long winded coach ride, jump in a cab well worth it and saving 2 hours for.

We went to plaza II last year on the 15th of july- did anyone else go at that time? i might have seen you! I thought it was exelent - i loved the jaqusi,the size and shape of the pool, the bar and the greek night was great and so were george and his family!
we were planning to go again this year but we only book last minute so the only place left was rhodes- lindos. the only thing wrong with my holiday last year was that i got an ear infection wich i put down to the pool not being clean enough, did anyone have the same trouble?

Hi, Im stayin at the Plaza II from the 8th - 22nd of August 04 and want to know of any good nightclubs that i can visit durin my stay.

We are going back to Laganas to see george & his family for the sixth time on June 27th. We think that George and his family are some of the friendliest people we have met and they always make us very welcome. We look forward to meeting all our Greek friends and Janne and Louise our Swedish friends, my wife and i can't wait to get there!

Can anyone help. I need to email George or any of the others at Plaza II before we go next week, does anyone have an email address for anyone there. Had them when we came back last year, but misplaced. Had a fantastic holiday last year and looking forward to the same again this year.

Four of us are just back from Plaza II, and all thought it was good. Located a couple of hundred yards from the beach, and 3 minute walk from the resort centre, but far enough to be quiet.
George and his staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful, and food in the hotel was excellent. The apartments were well fitted and clean, and although not as good as ones you might find elsewhere abroad, were very good by Greek standards.
Only fault we found was the lack of shower curtain, which the Rep had warned us was common in most of the hotels/apartments in Zante - we recommend buying a cheap one and taking it with you.
Best food - Greek Island Restaurant on the beach - Greek dancing, plate smashing and food second to none.

Its not really a need to know but a message to anyone staying at plaza 1 between June 4th and 18th. A couple from Birmingham are coming out for a holiday called Anne and Chris Toal. Anne is 40 on 1oth June and their wedding aniversary is on 12th. If anyone comes across them wish Anne a happy birthday from Martin and Cath. Thanks hopefully lots of people will mention it and she wont have a clue how you all know us.

We stayed at Plaza 11 (11 of us in 5 Apts)in May 04 for one week. George was great and allocated us all beside each other. The Apts are great size, basic but well equiped, with ceiling fans for when the weather is too hot. All apts face on to the pool area which is nice. Towels are supplied, but are usual thin white, would recommend you still bring your own towels. Loo rolls also supplied. Actually feel like you are staying in an hotel, due to the reception/bar area. These apts are ideal location close to the beach, and close to the main strip - especially close to MacDonalds, Pizza Hut, KFC etc for kids. Not surprising that so many people return to this accomodation year after year. George and his family couldn't do enough for you. Anything from an extra pillow, to a leaky tap - they are quick to sort it for you - unusual in Greece. Try their Greek Night (8 Euros kids free). Well worth the money. If you are not happy at these apts, then you'd be as well staying at home!!!

I found this apartment fantastic. Great people, great location and George and his family were great. I would definitely go back.

Went to Laganas in 2001 for 2 weeks and loved it. Now there's 21 of us comin to invade the plaza 2 in June (5 weeks to go on thurs!!!) Hope that it's as great as everyone says it is ........ and hope you're ready for 21 scousers ha ha

well claire, i think you are blind the property is ace and the staff are out of this world, especially vicky! if you do nothing but complain why bother leaving this country do you realise that it is greece and sometimes things are basic/simply or is that just you? if you have nothing good to say then dont bother opening your trap coz you're obviously very narrow minded! i agree with the travel agent spend your time in blackpool!!!!

Stayed at the Plaza II in July and October 2003, what a great place. George, his family and staff are fantastic. This has got to be the best place to stay ever. They cater for young groups, young couples, families and older couples...anyone. Everyone is made to feel so welcome. They also have great facilities, the rooms are lovely and very clean.
The greek night is not to be missed, you have to see the whole family get up and dance!
We will be back in 2004 and cant wait!

hi evry1, i went to the plaza 2 in june this year. george and giota and vasilis and constantina and yannis and vicky were brilliant. the only bad thing was my mum and i had a bedroom over the pool room, every night we heard people playing pool. i was crying when i left. it was brilliant otherwize. 10/10 for friendliness

i have just come back from staying at plaza II and cant wait to go back next year. george and his family are excellent and certainly make the holiay more enjoyable. they are friendly and helpful. plaza II is in a great location and the accomodation is good as well. i really didnt want to come home. i would recommend staying there to anyone that asks and probably people that dont ask as well. see you next year guys.xx

My boyfriend and I returned to the Plaza II in sept this year, for the 2nd year running we had a ground floor apartment again all though the 3rd floor was finished, we were offered a top floor app but they had no ceiling fan as of yet as they are only recently finished.

It was a lot busier this year due to the extra floor, the pool was a bit packed but the beach is so near you can take your pick.

There was some noise around the pool during the day due to a lot of kids those weeks and up until 4am some mornings due to a lot of teenagers who were staying there, but then who goes on holiday for peace and quiet.

It wouldn't put us off returning again and the weather was great.

We stayed @ Plaza I for two weeks @ the begining of August. The Apartments where in an excellent location, very close to the centre but yet not too noisy. The Plaza I apartments and pool area where average. The apartments where not very clean, there where loose plug sockets, the shower overflowed and overall the bathroom was dirty. Towels and sheets where not changed everyday and evan when they where they where often ripped or stained. There where no drawers for storage just scruffy wardrobes. I would definately recommend staying here however if possible stay @ the Plaza II which has a much better pool area, however Plaza I still have access to this. The rooms are also of a much better standard as on our last day we had a to be out of our room for 12 noon but we where not flying till 7am the following day. We therfore got a courtesy room in Plaza II which was gorgeous. Especially the top floor of the apartments as this is brand new. We had an absoloutley Fantastic holiday in Zante and would definatley go back again. The food round the pool bar is also very nice but eat Richards Chips @ Plaza I cos there the best. Also go and have a drink @ Plaza I cos Richards cool and will make you the best cocktails!!!!!!!!!!

we stayed at plaza II for 2 weeks from the 27th July - 10th August.There were 4 of us(2 adults + our 12+15 year old daughters). The place was clean, which was the main thing! All the staff are friendly. Very near to the beach, which was great. Did not spend any time there on the night though because it all seemed to be a bit like a 'typical british' evening. I mean who goes all the way to greece to play bingo and a quiz night! The noise stopped at 12.00am, so I don't know who was complaining of the noise - perhaps all those who go to bed at 10.00pm!
Some great resturants in laganas and brilliant bars! Have fun on holiday!!!!

My boyfiend and I stayed at the Plaza II last year Sept 02, we are returning there again 21st August 03 this year for 2 weeks. We had a lovely ground floor apartment with a ceiling fax, the staff were very fiendly if you make an effort to be friendly with them. The food was great, the pool got a bit busy, but with the beach 2 mins walk away you can't complain. The earthquake and the thunderstorms were out of their control, but were risking it again this year see you there : ) Enjoy!

going to plaza 2 was excellent george and his family, also not forgeting yannis and vicky, were very welcoming and helpful, also up for a laugh.the complex was very clean and the night life at the resort was very entertaining, especially the greek night.
i would definetly go again, the resort was in such a good location as well, as the main strip was only 2 minutes walk away as was the beach.
im glad that i came to plaza 2 and i would recommend it to anyone.

I have to agree with your comments about the awful noise coming from the karaoke, it often went on late into the night whilst we were there. However, hopefully my singing will be much better next year now that I'm taking singing lessons!

it was one of the noisiest places i have ever been to. One evening my huband and myself wanted to have a quiet night on the balcony when this almighty screeching in the name of entertainment coming from the bar, called karaoke, polluted our so so peaceful night, when i complained to george the next day he just shrugged his shoulders and muttered something under his breath, it was not good

Please let me know if you ever come into my shop looking for a holiday. I'll know not to waste my time. Nothing will be good enough for you. If a travel agent has gone there twice already and is going back next year it must be good.
we stayed there this year in june and stayed in the new apartments but we experienced none of the problems you have mentioned. We hope you complained to Karen ( your rep if you bothered to meet her) and wil have loads of compensation on the way. and the girl with the dark hair is george's daughter. they are always as friendly to you as you are to them and on many a occasion when there we saw plenty of guest ignore george and his family as they tried to get to know their guests a bit better- you should try it sometime! we have and now anything we ask george and his family for is no problem. we have even been invited back next year to stay with them!! have a great time in butlins next year and in bournemouth! we hope it pisses it down everyday and you all have a rotten time while we are in plaza 2 having a brilliant time. at least someone who appreciates the plaza will get a room now cos you're not going back.... 2 people complaining out of the hundreds that go every year. Wih people like you why should other countries bother letting the Brits in. To all the normal people going, have a brilliant time as usual and we'll be back next year. Sorry it's such a negative piece but those two need sorting out.

Funny, I thought this was a web site where you could inform other people of your experiences in Zante, which was what I was doing!! Despite the problems I had at Plaza 2, I still had an absolutely amazing holiday and I fell in love with the island. I would definately recommend to people a holiday in Zakynthos (I just won't be recommending Plaza 2) so as for Butlins next year - I might as well stay at home in sunny Bournemouth!!!!

Just a thought!! Why is it that the numerous people (me included) who have had a fantastic time staying at Plaza 2 manage to keep their positive words down to a maximum 5 or 6 lines, and the negative comments are like an essay?
GET A LIFE!!! Stick with Butlins you wont go wrong there!
P.S I am sure that the Plaza 2 will be fully booked next year with people who know how to have a good time!
P.P.S If you have had a bad time at Plaza 2 don't forget to send off your complaint forms to Manos, after all IF you do manage to blag a bit of compensation you can always put it towards going half board when you do visit Butlins!

It's nice to know that moaning Mark and whinging Claire WON'T be returning to Plaza II, who needs people like them around you when you are on holiday!! I suggest they meet up at Weston for their hols next year!!!

The plaza II is well over rated.
When me & my family arrived because of the new top level every thing in our room was covered in white dust so we had to clean everything ourselves also in the wardrobes as our clothes were covered.Our room should of had a ceiling fan but didn't.Because George thinks he is running a local night club downstairs with his out of date scratched & jumping CD's, sleep was non existant deep into early hours of the morning.
The sheets and towels were dirty sometimes with spots of blood so I went to the maids cupboard to get my own and on every accasion found the maids keys to all the rooms(Great security).
Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful even George after asking time and time again.
Could not relax by the pool because of the music which is why we all go on holiday.If I wanted music all day I would have used my personnal stereo.
There really was a lot to complain about far more to justify going back again,and cannot be bothered to list all the problems as I will run out of room.
Alot of people at the time I was there was not happy so it's not just me moaning.the only people who seemed to be happy were the same clan who go there year after year and use it as a meeting place with nothing better to do but sit there all day and night drinking.
What a shame this place was not better as it is in a nice location as it is only the main running of the place that needs tweeking.
Alot of safety issue need looking at mainly when it comes to children.Play area needs looking at as we found a workmans knife a screwdriver and lots of nails & screws.
LIke I said I was not the only person there with these problems and there was many more I wont list as I am not George's manager as he said be able to see most of these problems long before his customer's.

Hi Rachel, yeah not long to go know at all! We arrive on the 7th August which is the Thursday before you go home i think. Still aint got no money yet,glad i get paid just before i go, not that far from London then, i work In Camden Town.

Well have a good time and hopefully see around the bar or the pool when we arrive.

i came back from staying at plaza 2 yesterday and before i went i read the comments about it on this website and i was quite surprised at how highly it was rated and at how friendly and welcoming george and his family were meant to be. don't get me wrong, the apartments were lovely (perfect location - close to the beach and the main road without being noisey), the pool was lovely, never too crowded and you never had to get up mega early to blag a sunbed, and the food that they served in the bar was gorgeous and reasonably priced. however, the rooms were not cleaned every day (more like every other and when you have to put your used toilet roll in a bin, you want it emptied everyday), the rooms were too hot and we were not told that they hired out fans until near the end of our holiday when we came across some by accident, the supposedly clean towels and sheets that they provided you with were always dirty (my towels were filthy and had what looked like blood stains all over them), and there was always a smell of s**t outside the apartments! when our bathroom floor flooded with the water running under the front door (which it did on more than one occasion), george just let himself into our apartment and didn't even apologise when i was stood there in just a towel (i had just got out of the shower) and made out that it was because everybody was having a shower at the same time! i know greek plumbing isn't the best but this was ridiculous!! when it happened again, we had to go and get george and he then made out that we had blocked it by using too much shampoo, when really the drain was blocked! anybody with any sense would have checked the drain the first time! there was no apology, we probably got about 5 words out of george the whole two weeks we were there (i don't know about being the 'lazy man' but more like the 'grumpy man'), the cleaner was extremely rude (i asked her a question and before i'd even finished she screamed 'no, reception, reception' at me and ran out of the room!!) and when we left we stood in reception with our suitcases and the key in our hand. the staff didn't say thanks or goodbye or anything. we just thrust the key into somebodys hand and left. the only person i would rate is the young girl with dark hair (sorry i don't know her name!!). zakynthos is a wonderful island (although the whole airport experience was a nightmare) and i would definately like to go again, however i can categorically say thet i would never set foot in plaza ever again!

My partner Phil and I stayed at Plaza II in June and had the best holiday ever!! George, Giota, Vicki, Yannis, Enestas, Konstantina and all the rest of the staff were fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble for these lovely people and we will be going back in 2 years time. I have since been informed that Enestas has been sacked for too many late nights and sleeping all day!! He is just a young lad though, he was always clubbing when we were! I would definately recommend staying here as the location is excellent, I don't think this place can be beaten for the rooms, hospitality and general comfortable and welcoming feeling it gives you.

See even after a yr the standard of the messages and the feedback is just as high, just another reference to the fact that the Plaza 1 and Plaza 2 are the best appartments on the Island!! So far this yr I have been unable to get anything booked but am hoping for a last minute deal, this time though with my boyfriend....he MUST visit this great place :)

Having returned from Plaza 2 last week i can only agree with the comments posted by Deborah Goodwin. The hospitality given by George and his family is second to none and i am sure cannot be beaten.
The apartments are located 100mts from the beach and 50 mts from the main strip where all the bars and clubs are located, so are very central, thats if you can tear yourself away from the poolside bar which is open until 5/6am every morning.
I would certainly recommend that you visit the Acropolis restauraunt which is about a 10 minute walk out of Laganas. The walk is well worth it as the location and surroundings i am sure, cannot be beaten in Laganas.
If you want to go Turtle spotting hire your own motorboat at 25 euros for 1 hour its much cheaper and more fun than going on the organised Turtle boats.
We enjoyed our holiday at Plaza 2 so much that within 24 hours of returning home we booked to return in 2004!!

Just come back from a fantastic holiday at George's and i just want to go back tomorrow! All that is said on this site about the Plaza 2 is right, the rooms are good, George,yota,vasilias,konstantina,yannis and vicky are all really lovely people and go out of their way to see that you have a good holiday. Romio's is a good resturant, just round the corner on the high street, also Blue Sea is excellent that is on the beach. The food at George's bar is also excellent, especially the carbanara!! The greek night is also good, especially watching George doing his "crazy dance". You have to hire out a motor boat and go to Marathonisis that island can only be described as paradise!! I didn't manage to work my way through George's huge cocktail menu so it looks like i will have to pick up where i left off next year. Can't wait to go back. If anyone says they had a poor holiday at Plaza 2, they are lying.

We stayed in the Plaza 1 in May. It was fab, the pool was small that all the guests used Plaza 2 pool whick meant plaza 1 pool was empty all the time, no kids around!! It is right next to the beach and all the nightlife but not too loud. Would defo go back again as it is cheap and chearful.

We all cant wait to get on holiday now, Ive been zante before but not laganas meant to be real good nightlife and these apartments sound nice as well, So how old are you and your friend?
