Hi nat, mon repos is good, my birthday was last thursday, it is was very messy, sakis even brought the bottle of rakis out, minging. Yeah he's installed air con, not that we've needed it yet its been pretty cold at night up to now, but its supposed to get boiling after wednesday. Cherry bay club opens tonight, yipee so off for a few cheeky ones.

Hey everyone, its started off to a good season, its boiling, loads of new bars and improved ones and new restaurants, and also theres a pizza hut and kfc this year, wicked. For those who want a pool room, you have to book it in the uk, so if you've booked it you will get it, if not sorry, but all the rooms are spot on anyway. Hello, I stayed at Mon Repos last year and it was brilliant. Very clean, very friendly and very close to all the action! If you get the chance - and I'm sure you will- ask Sakis the owner for a 'Blue Thing' a really nice shot that he gives out sometimes. Also try the black sambuca. Chris the rep held it in his mouth for 20 minutes last year! Wish I was going back this year but have been two years in a row! Have fun y'all!!

Hi to the Manchester girls, the Kent Girls the Southampton Girls and of course, the Leeds Girls.
It’s flown by since I got back, but I keep having flash-back’s from the Holiday, i.e. Pete falling down the Stairs at Murphy’s, me riding Mikos’ bike down to McDonalds at 5am, realising that once up to speed going down the hill, that the brakes weren’t actually that good! Oh and sitting on the beach after Cherry Bay.

My boyfriend (Stuart) and I went to Zante and stayed at the Mon Repos for 2 weeks in September 2003 and absolutely loved it!! Best holiday I've had. The apartments are small and basic but clean, and we were in the furthest block from the pool/main strip but this was fine as it was just enough out of town to be quiet but close enough for an easy stroll in. As for the pool bar - the owner (Sakis) and the barman (Gaz) were brilliant fun!! We spent most of our evenings here as it was cheaper than town and we met loads of great people (especially Martin and Ross from Reading who we'll hopefully meet up with now we're back). All in all a big thumbs up for Mon Repo.
MESSAGE FROM STUART: GAZ IS A BIG NORTHERN PUFF AS HE CAN'T DO MORE THAN 3 SECONDS WITH A FLAMING SAMBUKA.

Well folks just returned from a fab 2 weeks at Mon Repo. Despite being a little shocked at how basic the apartments were(it's been a long time since I last went to Greece) we had a great time.
Mon Repo is in a great location near to Laganas Strip, only 5 min walk at the most. The apartments are spread out a little but this did not cause any probs.
Sakis and Anna the owners were very hospitable and nothing too much trouble. The cooked breakfasts and poolside bar food excellent. Along with the quiz and barbecue nights. Definately worth a try!
Nikos the pool man really made the days around the pool memorable, he was totally mad and always up for a laugh. As was Gaza behind the Bar!
The bar is open until 03.30 playing music and although not too loud request a block away from the pool if you feel it a prob.
All in all I'll definately go back, but 1 word of warning ; take ur own shower towels with you.

stayed at mon repos from 1st sept til 16th, apartments are great as was the pool,anna, sakis and nikos oh and gaz (who we saw a number of times strolling home drunk at 8 in the morning!!) BBQ and quis night were good although we never eat at the BBQ cos it was always fully booked when we went for tickets!! Few good restaurants near MR such as dallas, akropolis (which have lovely cats!) and a few others. Breakfast at MR is nice but one place which is good is robin hood on the main strip. Would recommend this place to anyone and if i had my way would have stayed another 2 weeks!! Anyone going have fun!!
Oh and try flannagans on the main strip, Ross is a good laugh and makes lovely cocktails!!

Great pool and location, basic but clean apartments, very friendly
atmosphere. Left to do as much or as little as you like. Would
definitely go again.

Just got back from one week (1-5th Sept 2003)staying at Mon Repos. We had a great time & yes as everyone says Sakis and his family are great, really make you feel welcome. BBQ, Quiz Nite and Anna's English Breakfast is a must! We were in Block C which for us was the ideal place to be just, close & far enough for everything (Block C has a wonderful Trailing Jamine which has a glorious smell at all times of the day).

Don't be put off by the lack of home comforts,(no toaster, no shower curtain, no TV, no air con)coz after the second day you really will not miss these.

Will definately be going back in the near future - if only for Sakis's Black Sambuca. Not forgetting Gaz the Sheffield Lad!, he is great, we never got to see it but apparantly if you stick around late enough you'll see him taken home on the back of a trailer!

Sakis, Gaz, Anna, Nicos & all the Mon Repo Crew really changed our minds about Greece and left us with good holiday memories.

PS Our Rep Chris (tall, blonde Yorkie)was also fab, realiable, honest and a topman (girls - his aftershave is wonderful, just don't no wot it was? Any ideas please let me no.)

Well knock me sideways, what a holiday and what an impression we seem to have made as well. I was one of the motley crew of Nottingham lads. I was a little too drunk too often to remember most things, but the holiday was awesome!!! Got some top class pics from the nights out but i honestly don't remember anything other than having a great time. I would go back in a heartbeat.

I need my fix of Murphys Red from the Mad Murphys bar and a little karaoke!

we came home from mon repos on 6th of july. Only stayed for a week but it was fab and yes nikos will push you push you in the pool ata any moment so beware!! We also had the pleasure of meeting those lovely boys from nottingham, sounds like they built a bit of a reputation for themselves after we left. Sakis was the best and nothing was too much trouble. For those who are staying at mon repos in the near future i strongly reccomend the barbeque night, how much food?!!

Absolutely amazing! Loved every second and it was so relaxing! We may have been in the furthest block, but it was only a 5 minute trek and the welcome you got from the bar staff was worth it! Big hello to Gaz. Missing ya hun, but we're back in October, so don't worry! I'd recommend it to everyone as it's just the right distance from the strip. Not too close so it was quiet but just close enough that it was a comfortable walk in the Greek temperatures! And everyone is sooooo nice.

We just booked up for Laganas in October, back to Mon Repo to see Gaz and Sakis! It's a mates birthday so we felt obligated to do something a bit mad!
Yeah, I went last year but only for a week. Not long enough! But I loved it so much and everyone is so nice. I enjoyed it loads more this time around as there were more of us too.

If you book at Mon Repos, call Sakis 2 weeks before you leave and he'll put you in the block right next to the pool! Little hint we picked up when we said we were coming back!
Waikiki was a bit different last year, as it was open plan with no doors, but I didn't really like it in the end. I thought it had a funny smell! And the Cherry Bay sex shows, well, I had no idea until someone told me on my last night! Wierd!

Us too! It's been a horrible couple of weeks since we left! Everyone out there was soooo nice and we miss Sakis and Gaz! Were you only there a week? I am truly sorry about us and our noise. We seemed to have random strangers in our hotel room all the time! The Southampton Boys and Blazin Squad arrived on the Tuesday, I think, but we live right near the Southampton Boys and I wanna meet up with them again. Apparently they go to the same night clubs as us, so it would be good to see them!

Got back yesterday, and would go back in a second! The only thing was being in A block, which was furthest away, but we had lovely neighbours upstairs - the Nottingham boys, Gaz, Jared, Steve, Pete, Martin and Tony - who were unfortunatly replaced by some people from the older generation, who looked a bit out of place! We were the girls downstairs with the kitten if anyone remembers us! Had a lovely time and if you are heading out there, tell Gaz the barmen hello from Rose, Nina, Amy, Amy and Hayley and ask Sakis for a blue thing! They're lovely shots with a hint of coconut, but really soft, so you aren't wincing afterwards! I really miss it out there and am dying to get back next year, although a mate of ours did get burgled (Hey Mark and Ally!) and their mobiles were nicked so lock your doors!

Just got back from staying at the Mon Repo, and it was not what we expected.The beds and especially the pillows were rock hard, not what you need after a long flight/a night out on the booze. Being the furthest away from the pool and the main strip, we found that walking back on our own late at night, was not safe at all. The maid service was every 72 hours and consisted of bed sheets just being turned over, and not even changed. Watch out for unwelcomed visitors, we were told that a number of people had been burgled, but it wasnt at our apartment, however, thats not what we heard from most people round by the pool! Just being the two of us, we did not feel safe at all walking back from the main strip alone at night.

Aprt from all this, Sakis and co were really friendly and welcoming, and the pool was clean and extremely inviting. I can only recommend these apartments if there is a big group of you and if your not worried about where ya staying.

Just returned on the tuesday 15th,would go back to mon repos again.Excellent place for singles and couples. Just one complaint asked to have shower repaired twice, nothing done. oh well one thing wrong cannot be bad

Hey Hey... got back from Mon repo Lastnight, it was the best holiday i have ever had i must say!!! Everyone at Mon Repo were amazing and made us feel soooo welcome it was great, sakhis is great and the rest of the family are just sooo nice! The bar is nice, the pool and the apartments are really clean and tidy. Im gona miss everyone there beacause they are all mad and sooo fun!! Got back to sunny England on sunday and wish I was still at Mon Repo. The people spoke great english and were really friendly (especially to my friend Claire who already made a comment here!). The cocktails were cheap and we had a great holiday(what we can remember of it!). There's so much to do in the evenings that we rarely came back before 4am. I was at Mon repo with Claire, Kirsty, Mike, mark and Robbie for a week from the 29th June. the only slight problem was the walk from A block to the bar and pool....one long dusty track or the main road...not particularly safe to do on ur own particularly for ladies...but wat can u do.

It was so good. Its just too far from the clubs to pop back. but its nice and quite for a good night sleep. The bar staff are really nice. There is a girl from Gravesend called Claire. THat was cool cos thats near me!!

Enjoy the best two clubs, Rescue and Zeros. If an Aussy guy comes off the street selling tickets for a beach party in association with Zeros, u have to go. The best night i had all week!

Julia and I went back to Mon Repos on 6th May for two weeks for the second year in succession (with our friends Jon and Lisa) and we weren't the only "regulars" there. There were at least 4 or 5 other parties who were repeat visitors. So what makes Mon Repos so special? The apartment blocks are small but clean, so that's not it. The location is good, but after lots of Ouzo walking back from a night on the town is hard on the feet, so that's not it. The pool is very clean and well maintained but there are no slides or diving boards so that's not it either. The range of food served is limited but always of good quality and the drinks can't be described as cheap. So what is it ? Well, I'll tell you, it's Sakis, Anna, small Nicos, Spiros and big Nicos who all make everyone feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Sakis has a sign in the bar..."there are no strangers here, only friends you have yet to meet..." and how true that is. Whatever it is the Mon Repos team have, you just can't buy it anywhere else!I've been to Corfu, Spain, France, Cuba and Florida and the best holidays I've had have been at Mon Repos and we will DEFINITELY GO BACK AGAIN. See you next year guys!

I stayed at Mon Repo in 2001 ad thought that it was one of the friendliest resorts that I have stayed in during my various trips to greece.

Going back to Mon Repo on the 6th of May and this will be the 3rd year running at the same time of year!! Can't wait to see Sakkis and Anna, as well as John (missed you last year mate. Hope your Mum is ok!) Shame Spiros won't be there cos he's in the Army! Ha ha ha...bout time he did some bloody work! Its a great place to stay and the welcome you recieve is second to none. And there is a pool for those on here who are a bit slow on the uptake!!!

In May this year will be my 5th year to Mon Repos and anyone thinking of going should go. I have read all the comments on this site and, well some of you must be blind. Mon repos have a swimming pool infact the cleanest on the island and the only pool to have its water changed twice a year! try walking around a bit 5 - 10 min walk won't kill you your on holiday after all. I have never have a bad visit here and problems just ask Sakis or Anna and they will help or see your rep! Heres to two weeks time when all four of us will be over.

What a fantasic holiday! I went with my mum and dad and spent all day wi them and all night at the pool bar, followed by Spiros showing me round the clubs and bars in Laganas.(Girls dont go sitting on scooters in short skirts haha). I had a brilliant week and i really didnt want to leave, Sakis and the gang are so funny and friendly. Im keeping in touch wi Spiros so hopefully i'll be back again next year!

cant say anything bad i have walking problens and i found it fine getting to and from the town form block D witch it the top one next to block A the staf were very helpfull and when the bulb went thay had it changed in mins i for one will go back there and as for the rooms thay were clean and after all do you want to spend the day sat in a room what more do you want the bar staff were very helpfull and did a good breakfast to start your day i dint here any one with a bad word for the place while i was there the pool area is very clean and thay bring your drinks and food out to you what more do you want great place to say i was there for 14 day for the 10 sep 2002 to 24 cant wait to get back

The location was good, central but not too in your face. I stayed a week, and I wasn't very happy with upkeep of the room. Our sheets didnt get changed once in the whole week, no fresh towels or toilet rolls put in either, in the end I had to walk up to the bar ( situated a 5 / 10 minute walk from my appartement that had " NO " pool either ) and ask for fresh sheets and towels etc. I didnt goto the bar / pool I used my friends one at Denise Beach. I wouldnt stay there again.

I stayed at Mon Repos in August and in the main thoroughly enjoyed myself. There are five blocks of apartments just far enough out of town to be convenient yet fairly peaceful. However, the block I was in was right on a fairly busy road and it took a couple of days to get used to the traffic noise. Another block is next to the pool bar, a couple of people staying there said it could be very noisy at night. The path through the olive grove although dusty is at least light at night. The rooms were a bit small and basic (but isn't all Greek accommodation!) but very clean. The pool area was excellent and cleaned several times a day. They have a BBQ on a Saturday night which is great value and the food terrific. My only real complaint was the prices at the bar. The price of drinks could vary depending on who served you, and the mark-up on water and soft drinks was ridiculous - a bottle of water was 100%, and a can of iced tea 150% more expensive than the local shop! However, despite my strong feeling of being ripped off whilst at the bar, I would stay here again.

Possibly the best holiday of my life so far. As soon as i returned to the UK i was back to the Travel Agents to book my holiday again for next year. Couldn't fault the apartments at all, they maybe on the small side, but at the end of the day how long will you be in there for? Bar staff were superb, a friendly bunch of people. Spiros, is a character, Lyn (sweedish barmaid) is lovely (lads you must check her out). The nightlife is different class, every night is a Firday night, clubs are open till 6am Fri and Sat, and 4am rest of the week. Must check out Rescues, a great place to go, plays decent musin, allthough i was a bit dissapointed that there was not much garage played. There is 1bar call prestige that plays garage music. Drinks are fairly cheap, especially cocktails, ARGO's is a good place to start the evening, Waikiki bar is superb, and while your on holiday, you must try the "Bar Crawl", the reps take you to the best bars and clubs in Lagana on your 1st night. If you are heading out to Lagana, have a wicked time, and lads the girl ratio out there is superb, hen we went out, there were on average 4 woman to every one bloke!! It not Lagana, its HEAVEN!!!! Enjoy!!!

we stayed at mon repos july 2002, had the best times of our lives thanx to the bar staff whom we found very friendley, and a great laugh especially spiros, sakis and nikos. cant wait to go back next year. cant fault the place one bit. but could do with air conditioning in rooms. night life excellent. pool barbecue recommended. kelly & bev manchester.

Blues at Mon Repos - No air-con but u can rent the fans ! - No character in the apts – long straight rooms. Walls are thin so whisper as you can hear your neighbours - Beds are hard and you could feel the frames - The maids pretends to change your towels by folding them nicely- but they remain dirty ( we did ask nicely for clean towels after giving her a tip) - Towels are dirty looking and feel like foot-mats - - It was a long walk to the town centre via an olive grove in searing heat. - Walk across the olive grove on a sandy path with your old pair of shoes. New shoes will be ruined. - Need a torch to get back at nights - The bar staff and the owners were arrogant.. Watch your change - The occasional Hi ….if you are not really a good customer to his bar - Saki is attentive to those who are good customers to him and eat and drink by the pool. This was an experience we won’t repeat.

Do Mon Repos have toasters in the apartments? We are going in September x Can't Wait!

We stayed at the mon repos in september 2001 and found it to be a fantastic place, the location was quiet but not too far from the town centre, there is a short cut to the main street but it is very dark at night so take a torch.the rooms are spotlessly clean and there is maid service two or three times a week.however the rooms do not have kettles or fans. the staff are very friendly and helpful especially Jon the english barman he will give you handy tips for enjoying your holiday while serving you any cocktail of your choice, and what a choice.Spiros the other barman is a local and a bit of a practical joker so watch out, If he gets on your nerves a bit just throw him in the pool!. Sakis and Anna are the owners and live on site, so you will probably find either or both of them near the bar area.

I went in August this year and had an excellent time. Spiros, Nikos, Zakis, Jon and Anna were really lovely and were always willing to help. They make the best cocktails eva! The appartments are also really near the town centre but it wasnt too noisy. The pool was also really nice.

Just arrived back from two weeks staying at the Mon Repo had a brilliant time, staff were really friendly and did not bother you unless they had to. Kitchen facilities are pretty minimal two ring hotplate just enough to boil a pan of water for tea or coffee. They don't have kettles there, though we did spy Anna using one behind the bar, suggest you take your own if you can't be without instant boiled water. They do supply a few plates, cups knives etc., but we found it so cheap to eat out it didn't matter. Beds are extremly hard and pillows even harder but if you've had one too many you probably won't even notice!! Have to recomend that everyone should go to Zero's at least once during their stay it's a brilliant evenings entertainment, the bar people are fascinating to watch.

I just got back from here and we had the best time. Everyone is really friendly...Sakis, Anna, John and Spiros make you feel so welcome. There were no kettles or toasters in our appartments but who needs it with fab places to eat (the beat are Yiannis, Akropolis and Albatross). The pool is great and the nightlife is aswell.

Returned home yesterday. Got the holiday blues in a big way. Accomodation was great, night life was even better. Our apartment was in the block that was through the olive grove. It was a bit of a hike, but who cares we were on holiday & we had all the time in the world. If you are going soon say hello to sakis & spiros from jill,jase,zoe & danny.

Mon Repos was great for us, a number of accomodation units set in olive trees, some are a bit of walk to the pool/bar. No air con but its quiet and only about 10 min walk from the centre.

Just got back from staying here.If you are talking about Spiros, the guy behind the bar, yeah he was very arrogant but i did find that almost all the staff were helpful if we had any problems and did their best for us.We did have one problem with the appartment and we had to keep at them to get it sorted, which eventually worked. Some of the appartments are a fair walk from the pool and the nearest shop but nothing terrible. Torch recommended for walking back at night. Generally impressed with mon repo as the location was excellent. It was very near the resort centre but not at all noisy at night. I recommend that people go to the barbecue night at mon repo - its a laugh and the atmosphere is great

We stayed at Mon Repos in May. We had a great time apart from some of the weirdos we met. Ist there was Joe the pimp, 2nd, Sparrow and then third and most weird of all it was Wannky pants, who decided to follow us home and have a W**K on our door step and leave us a little "pressie". Andi - Mon Repos is just 5 mins walk to the resort centre, but is in a nice quiet area. The closest bars / clubs are just 2/3 mins away and there is a good restaurant opposite called 'Akropolis'. Many good bars and clubs in the centre, the most popular being Rescues and Zeros and a good club near you called 'The Ocean Inn'.

WE STAYED AT THE MON REPOS LAST YEAR. vERY NICE ATMOSPHERE AS A NICE BAR AREA. ONLY PROBLEM WAS WASPS BY POOL AREA AS THEY HAVE A KIDDIES PADDELING POOL AND THEY SEEMED TO HOVER AROUND IT. THE OWNERS ARE LOVELY AND TRY REALLY HARD TO GET EVERYONE INVOLVED IF THEY WANT. THE APARTMENTS THEM SELVES ARE THE BEST WE HAVE HAD IN ZANTE. WE STAYED IN THE FURTHEST FROM THE BAR/POOL AREA AND IT WAS LOVELY AND QUIET WHEN YOU WANT IT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU TAKE A TORCH, AS OUR ROOM WAS OFF THE BEATEN TRACK. WALK BACK (WHEN DRUNK) TO ROOM AS PROVED A PROBLEM AS UP A HILL. A CAB FROM THE BEACH COST 1000 DRACH (£2.50) WHEN DRUNK MUCH NEEDED!!!
