We had a great time at the Perkes,the rooms were nice and so was the pool area!both bar staff were well nice and if their both back your have a great time and eye candy.The younger with the goatie was abit moody of a night time and the other one sounded like dave brent but funny!!dont make noise at night, for your own health!!!!

hey 8 of us stayed here from the 11th of august was a brill holiday, hotel is only 10-15 minute walk and even though am lazy didnt seem to far!!, rooms really basic but what more can you ask for, only thing is cant drink in your room and theres no fridge even if you try to! Defo go back to zante if only for murphys and cherrybay!!!

Perkes hotel is spot on if your going for a party holiday, the only down falls are, flys in the pool and your not aloud to drink in your rooms. It is about ten minute walk to the main bars or a 5 euro taxi drive. Laganas is good and stays open late .enjoy

Hey, Graeme and Gregor here! We just got back to Dundee today after spending a week at The Perkes Hotel and thought it was great and excellent value for money.  The staff were friendly, the room was OK and we had a great laugh with a lot of the other guests staying there. The nightlife in Laganas was lively and the best club was probably Rescue.  It's just a pity about the weather for our last couple of days there!   Would defenitely return in the future though.

Yeh rachel I agree with you the London guys were amazing and so fit!!!! So was the Somerset boys eh!!!!! 

 got back from perkes 3 days ago and wish i was still there!!!!! soo didnt want to come home everyone was soo nice!!! the rooms were pretty basic! food was not to bad either! nick,scott and nick are totally wicked!! they all managed to cheer you up if u were feeling down!! would reccomend going there to anyone!!! i'll definatley b going back soon!!! thanx to everyone for being so nice and friendly especially all the london guys 4 keeping us amused!!  hope i.ll c use all soon.XXX

Fantastic place to stay everyone was so friendly and gorgeous!!!!  Got home yesterday and don't want to be home at all.  Everyone we met was so friendly and I just wish that I could take everyone home with me.  Nick, Rachel, Nick and Scott were fantastic people it's just a shame we had to go.

Been back a week now and the weather here isn't much different to how it was in Laganas (maybe a bit colder!)  Rachel and Nick (the owners) were fantastic, Nick always managed to cheer me up when I was feeling down.  Scott and Nick behind the bar are still gorgeous even if Nick wouldn't let me take a pic f his bum! 

Had a great time, met some fantastic people, especially the 8 lads from Birmingham (will never forget the rooster outfit - Ed, or the bark - Dave!), miss you all, wish I was still out there!

From all the girls at sunny rhyl, we have just come home from the perkes and we loved it! had a laugh from start to finish! and have no complaints, the room was clean and everyone was great fun,and for all those that slagged off scott and nick we thought they were spot on, and were a great laugh, made us feel really welcome and we would love to go back there

me and my chelt girls had a fab holiday in zante! the hotel staff are all really nice, esp chopper and vercilly(with his special mayo....)lol! the two barmen, nik and scott are both slags, scotts beta than nik tho cus hes at least friendly! niks a bit of a nob-jockey tho and he has a MUUFASSA tatoo lol wat a roar!defo takes advantage of MORTLE holiday makers tehehe!!!

I loved my holiday in Zante I have to agree about the arrogant barmen especially Nick they r both a pair of slags tho. The hotel was just as I expected it to be the maids were really lovely and the people staying at the time were great 2! Waikiki and Medousa were the best clubs loved dancing on the bars !

well... the hotel well basic and the bathroom floods, the camp bed is like sleeping on a bed of nails with no clean sheets or towels, there were also usual stains on the walls... but apart from that it was rather fun!!!! lol. the perkes breakfast is to die for (especially when uve had a night on the razzz!) the bar men try it on with every one, scott is the better of the two as u can have a decent convo with him but both have prob got an std of some kind lol. nick is up his own and has a tattoo of moufasa and has not only tried it on with us but but the rest of our mates aswel! the strip is cool, especially bad boys, cocktails and dreams, cherry bay and PINK PANTHER! watch out for the yogi bear song...it made our holiday! the SALFORD GIRLS made their mark in pink panther for deffinate! hahaaa x x x

i dont know what r all complaining about, its not dirty or anything, u get what u pay for and if the hotel didnt meet  your sandards then u obviously came with the wrong expectations. it totally did for what we needed, if you keep it clean then theres no need for  someone else to tidy your room more than a few times. to be fair the barmen were a tad arrogant, who knows why! ur holiday is totally what u make of it.

Both barman were very sexy!! Nick was abit in your face, whereas Scott was happy to take a back seat. I agree Scott is the nicest. Also they're out there to enjoy themselves so i say good luck to them both.

Yeh, Nick is definitely a little slapper (not necessarily a bad thing though!)  Don't think Scott pulled when I was there early on in the season, I'm thinking of going back though, anyone know if he's up for anything, thought he was better looking than Nick!?

just got bak from the perkes last friday and it was ace! would definately go bak there agen if nt for the crazy strip but for nick and scott the lovely bar men.....but my friend did get to know nick a lil more than the rest of us if u get wot i mean! he told me to tel all the lovely ladies headin out there that hes open to experiment! the strip is mega, zeroes was the best and the bar men there were crazy too!!!! only bad thing was the free breakfast but the full english from the pool made up for it! all round a mint holiday all those goin soon wont wana c*m back!

been back from zante for quite a while now, kinda missing it. not missing the bar men tho, they were a couple of fannies rite up themselves. hotel was kinda s**te too. air con gave us all a cold and there was no fridge to keep our drinks cool, but then we were told we werent allowed drinks in our room anyway!! and there was a noise curfew!! no music between 11 and 7 am!! i mean, wots the point in advertising it as lively and.....................lol kiding on. oh, food was quite s**t too but i didnt get lumbered with the camp bed at least. i went two year ago, and it was so much better then. the strip still rocks tho!!! missing ma wee holiday romance, u know who u r geordie boy!!

the perkes hotel was the biggest joke on the island. you have to pay for air conditioning, the rooms were disgusting our beds only got changed twice while we were there. the showers are cold and you get evicted for no reason. . 2 lasses who were with us got evicted because the owner "assumed" they were making a noise, even tho they were in bed. on a £500 holiday you cant presume things. then on our last day, my mates shopping was stolen out of her bag because there are nowhere to keep your belongings coz they kick u out at half 10am even tho our flight wasnt until half 4 the next morning. there are no fridges in the rooms, our balcony doors didnt lock properly, and our door handle kept falling off. the free breakfast was 3 slices of bread a slice of ham and a slice of cheese. 

except for this we decided not to let the hotel spoil our holiday, the pool was good the bar was good and the crack was great, so cheers to the welsh lads for making us laugh, and to the scottish lads for showing us the best pizza place in zante xx

OMG!! wat can a say was the best holiday i hav eva been on!!! The hotel is alrite a bit on the small side i alos had pee on ma matress when we arrived but the maid sorted it for us, n all a can say is watch out for shotgun pete n crazy joe the torch man!! Part fomr that the hotel was fine for a week!! Cherrybay n dj babyjames for the best nite out eva! n if u want to get hammered before it hit murphys!! Shout out to joey! even tho he neva managed to smash us! n to the birmingham ladz we've stil got the flag!

laganas is a bit over rated i thought there would be more bush to many lads to beaver. perkes is a dive but to be fair u dont spend to much time in your hotel. the strip is good but not great   i reckomend a fishbowl to ya self

just 2 say had the most amazin time and didnt wanna c*m home. hotel was brill and we had such a laff esp wit the geordie lads esp stevo and his applepie sandals, alton towers boys (bully) and of course the night watchman (ladies pleash its shix in the mornin, hehe). best club is defo cherry bay......dancin to cheese at 7.30 int he morn is the best. miss the sunny weather sooooo much and hav soo many funny/drunken moments to remember!!!! we met loads gr8 peeps......who wed love to stay in contact wit.

Perkes is a good hotel just a bit after and the rooms are small. As for the bar staff one of them is full og them selves and the other one seem alright but there are both well fit and allowed to pull. Does anyone who stayed their know the Newcastle boys that where staying there one was called adam and the other keep saying QUACK all the time

I was at the Perkes in May and it was the best holiday ever, am hoping to go back in september.  Nick, the owner makes the best cocktails, we sampled as many as we physically could!  The lads behind the bar provided endless entertainment!

Just got back from Laganas last Friday 1st July, absolutely guttered to be home..definately wanna go work out there next year. Stayed in Hotel Perkes and had a wicked holiday! Met loadsa people and everyone who worked in the hotel were lovely! Yes the waterpark in Laganas has opened but it aint all that, The thing next to Perkes is crap as the 2 Red slides are propper slow and the blue one is broke. The new waterpark is 25 euro's if u book it with the rep but only 17 if u book it from one of the blokes in the street! The hotel is a bit mingin and the maids are crap.

Hello everyone,just got home from the Perkes,WHAT A HOLIDAY!!!!!.the place is well good.

  We just came back from the perkes,what a great holiday.The hotel waz well cool and we had some great nights at the bar(black sambuca)!!I would go there again ,and hope to go back later in  the year.

Just got back from a week at Perkes with five girls and wish I never had to leave!  Scott and Nick behind the bar are fantastic (and it helps that they're both gorgeous!) Always great to stumble back to the hotel and have them waiting, even if Nick did complain everytime we asked for a coffee!  Had a great time and hope to go back later on in the season.

31st of July the geordie girls will be arrivin at the perkes. We're gona need a bita help wit our short lil blonde friend, gets drunk n no common sense. If u see her wanderin around naked please jus direct her back to us. Thanks.

Just got back from Zante yesterday stayed in Perkes.Highly recomend staying there.Rooms are fine and all that rubbish but who realy cares about that you will be too pissed to remember anyway.From going past alot of hotels Perkes has the best pool around with a great bar which does fantastic food.Well enough about that I went last week and it was brillient but its not even gotten started yet.Its ment to realy pick up from well the day I left but it was full enough for a good time.The weather was 30+ everyday so you lot going in July are going to see some major heat.I recomend going to rescue, cherry bay, baywatch beach party and wild coyote just to do the dentist chair and get a free t-shirt like I did.Check out http://spaces.msn.com/members/ilovebadgers after say 16th of june and I will have put some of my pictures up.Dont think I will be able to put all 300 I took on there.If your looking for somewhere to stay goto Perkes.

I stayed at this hotel last June and had a wicked time, best holiday ever.

Dont beleive all you read on the holidays uncovered site, the hotel room is basic but hey thats all you need, what do you expect its Greece. All the staff are great and make you feel welcome and the food at the pool bar is good too!! Soo enjoy yourself, best bar has to be rescue the guys are well fit.

the perkes is sweet,12 of me and the lads stayed there last year and had a top time.if we go back to zante then we would book the hotel direct with the perkes for sure.if you dont take the p**s then they look after you big time.aussie nick and family who own it are great and the barman nick is a good laugh.
make sure you go to the strip bar next door,25 euros a dance but well worth it!!!!

we found the hotel just fine,its no 5 star but you don't pay 5 star prices do you.The only thing is it is a good walk from the beach but aroun 6 euro's in a taxi.The hotel pool is loud but they have a second pool with slides thats not so busy next door.
The barman nick (the smaller one of the nicks)is a true gent and good fun and ask him for the best places to go visit.
shame he's a spurs fan.
Food is very good drinks are good price and the big nick and his wife work hard to keep people happy.

We had a great time at the hotel,the rooms are clean,food is great and the family who own it are spot on.If your going there thinking you will run wild and trash the place,trust me you will be a dead man walking!!the aussie Nick dont take any crap,look out for his gun!!!

We really did have a great time,the hotel was nice and the staff are second to none.the family were great and sorted everything for us and always were friendly.we always started at the bar and ended up at the bar every nite pretty much,just coz its cheap,clean and the barman nick was such a good crack and good fun with the kids(even if he is a bad loser at pool).the hotel is a walk from the bars but thats a good thing and only 5 euro's in a cab.

the hotel is fine,but dont think its any hilton!!!and to be honest its the people that stay there that ruin it and make you wish your not a scot!!(its not hard to say please)the family who own the hotel are very nice and will try to help as much they can.The pool is very clean,and the bar staff are great fun too,apart from when people are rude to them!!!!it is very far from the beach and will take 20mins to walk it plus there are no street lights along the road(do be carefull)the big problen is sunset and the rep Helena was a pain in the ass,so fake and in your face.

We were a young couple who stayed at Perkes from 26th August for two weeks. All the staff were really nice, Nick and Woody were a great laugh and made our stay really funny and memorable by having Quiz nights and drinking compititions!! Nick, Rachel and all the family who own Perkes were really lovely and worked really hard to keep all guests happy. The food at the hotel was fantastic and the rooms were really well kept.

Zante was a really good mixture of people with loads of young groups and couples of different ages.We really recomend the boat trip around the island and we recommend the Jeep safari, and a trip to st. Nicholas beach is definately worthwhile for watersports.The Nightlife in laganas is really good and the restuarants have fantastic food.

We would definately go back to Laganas and would stay at the perkes again. It was a very enjoyable holiday, perfect for young or older couples or groups.

hotel was basic but clean. breakfask was limited but the full english was good value. people were friendly and the site was good

The Hotel is one of the best i have ever stayed in & have stayed there 5 times to date & have booked already for next year. The staff there are so helpful & the owners Rachel & Nick are second to none. Taxi in to the main town is 5 Euros or a 20 minute walk - it's a great location set out of the hustle & bustle of the main strip. Yes it's basic but from experiences of visiting all the Greek Islands it's the same everywhere. Breakfast is continental bread, cheese jam tea or coffee but you can have cooked at a very reasonable price - all the food here is excellent & highly recommended. This is a friendly family run hotel that the locals & workers all use for food & swimming etc - now that speaks for itself - it's reputation in Laganans is the best. Can't wait til July next year when i'll be there for my 6th time.

This hotel is miles away from everything. We wouldn't go back again. The breakfast is not worth getting up for. (although they do sell quite a nice English Breakfast for 3 Euros beside the pool). There is rarely anyone on reception so it's not always easy to get taxis, and when you ask at the pool bar, they refuse. We had my elderly parents with us, and spent 20 mins trying to flag down a taxi! We only spent 3 days here, then moved to another accomodation closer to the resort and beach, for the rest of our week. Hotel is VERY basic, and bathroom floor floods continually. Only go to this hotel, if you can't get booked anywhere else. (and we have been travelling to Greece for over 20 years - the past 5 years we have had at least one holiday a year at Laganas - and this hotel is extremely basic). We had a 12 year old, and a 13 year old with us, and both of them cut themselves on glass in the swimming pool, which wasn't very clean either. They advertised films on the big board by the pool. We returned early one evening (by taxi!) for the girls to see a film, only to be told that it had been shown the night before - the board just hadn't been changed. It was like that for 3 days!
If you don't mind walking for miles, or can afford taxis all the time (we were a family of 9 - 3 taxis, costing about 75 Euros a day!) then by all means stay here, otherwise we would advis staying closer to the resort.

In all honesty, despite the good hospitality by the staff at the hotel this was most certainly one of the worst holidays I have ever had. I'm not exactly old myself but the place was swarming with 18 year olds on their first holiday (you know what to expect from this right?). I was kept awake all the way through each night with extremely loud rap music from the next room and the echoing sound of doors slamming down the corridor and the floor below which literally shook the room.

I had booked a triple room at Perkes but ended up with a double room consisting of two single beds. Eventually they brought us a camp bed which was slotted in the middle making the whole week very uncomfortable as there wasn't enough room to swing a cat. We were literally tripping over each other constantly.

The plus sides were that there were very few bugs managing to find their way into the room and the hospitality from the bar staff was good.

If you're looking for loud and rowdy, this is the holiday destination for you, but just beware if this isn't your scene.

place was basic, no fridges, about a good 20mins walk from main strip, crap pool table, annoying cleaners.

anyone whom goes to this hotel in the high season can only expect that there are going to put up with young people enjoying them selfs
this is normal for any accomadation
if you are a couple or a family or just don't want any disturbances
then go early in the season or late in the season
i and my friend whom is disabled had a wonderfull time and the staff at this hotel deserved a award for the most outstanding customer service i have ever had at any hotel anywhere

nick and racheal are a excellent example to the other more commercial

nicks mum is a total saint and is the hardest working mum i have ever

so in finnishing my review anyone whom has had the cheek to complain is either a snob or just plain stupid or was just to drunk to appreachate the quality of the staff or the hotel

i stayed at this hotel because my friend stayed here in june (when the fottie was on) and had a great time. well, i had a fantastic time when we came out in september. the room was plenty, what more do you need on holiday than a clean, comfortable bed and a working shower? good food was served, with cold beer/cider in frozen glasses, hmmmmm.
nick, rachel, talia and baby tom- what a lovely family. so friendly and welcoming. barman nick is such a comedian!!! and, i hope vasili plays with other girls toes, or is it just me?(HA HA)
this is great place dont listen to the bad reports- who are they kidding? complex pools are always a little bit 'scummy' (as you all call it!). the 3rd bed in any 2bed room is always a camp bed- how else would you fit a 3rd bed in the room, and still have space to move? AND its greece, this is a Country where you cant put your paper down the tiolet- because the drains cant take it, what do you expect the Hilton? come on, where's your adventure- your on holiday!!!

those of you who commented on my comments about the pool and our gold. well i have travelled all around the world and have never experienced anything like this myself, the gold for a start we lost was bought from a reputable retailer not a kinder egg!. we returned to laganas as we keep in touch with a greek family and when i mentioned to him about the gold he put some chlorine in a bowl and 1 of the broken chains, when we went to see him the next day the chain was just a streek of green in the bottom, yes and i call it WEIRD AND MAYBE A COINCIDENCE as i had already said. you may like the hotel but we didnt and was not slandering anybody, its everybody to there own eh.and no you could not fault the staff and we did enjoy ourselves despite this, but everybodies allowed their opinion.

i have to agree, nothing wrong with the perkes, ive said it before and i'll say it again do you people not read up on something before you book???mr bed theif it tells you in the brochure there is no air con and the 3rd bed in most hotels is a put up one! you great turd! also i went in the pool loads, none of my gold melted and my clothes certainly didn't change colour.its a lovely friendly place to stay. its just basic. also i have to agree with you ceri, nick is lovely, me thinks the lads slagging him off may be having a wee b***hy moment. he's friendly and down to earth..even if he did play sad songs as we were about to leave to make us cry!

just got back from a week at Perkes and loved it! those considering going out there should not listen to those negative comments on here (gold melting?!?! please!!!) the pool was fine, all be it a bit cold, but then you get over that after being in it for two minutes. and as for the scum around the edges, everytime i was around the pool, the edges were being cleaned by the little greek dude (sorry, cant remember his name!) nick and rachael are lovely, and baby tom is gorgeous!!! he has a mohawk at two months old! the atmosphere to the place is fantastic, really friendly, and we definitely plan to go back next year.
i was nearly put off by some of the comments i read on here, but i'm glad i didnt listen, one of my best holidays yet!
Oh and Nick the barman, despite what a lot of people think, he's not too bad. maybe see how that percentage of mine is dong next year Nick?

Spent two weeks at the perkes. 1st hol with my mates and without my parents! Very disappointed! Got what seemed to be the only room without air-conditioning. The third bed in the room was a camp bed and really not suitable for an 18 yr old! Saw an empty room with a decent bed in it exchanged it and was told we would be kicked out if we didn't put it back. The ice at the bar was made from home made water and resulted in most of us getting 'lets spend the holiday on the toilet'! I totally agree with the lady who said her family's gold started disolving....all my underwear and swimming shorts changed colour...pure white turned brown and black turned brown as well (all worn under swim shorts)!! Great resort but would not go back to perkes!!

I think this message is written in reply to mrs eckersley??? What on earth are u going on about? If your (gold) bracelet actually rotted away from the chemicals in the pool then dont u think that the chemicals in the pool would have somehow also melted the skin off your bones??? to melt gold it has to be at an extraordinary high temperature and i doubt very much that chemicals in a swimming pool could melt your (so-called gold off) maybe u should take your bracelets and earrings back to your jeweller(or kinder egg retailer) and ask for a refund. When ive stayed at the perkes on quite a few previous occasions ive never found any problems with the hotel or pool and maybe if people started to shower before they got in the pool there wouldnt be scum around the edges of the pool as all this is is the suntan oil from peoples body. If youre off there youll have a great time if u dont listen to some of the pathetic, slanderous comments that get left on these message boards

got back from perkes this weekend, wow what a dissapointment. was the forth time going to laganas and got to say the worst.we dont normally complain when on holiday because you dont expect get the luxuries that you get at home but you do expect a decent bed to sleep in. what we got was a camp bed that must have dated back to world war 2 for my 13yr old, who is 5 feet six to sleep on and a mattress that resembled a sack of potatoes for my husband and myself. the pool was by far the worst we have ever been in, we have travelled all over europe and never been in a pool that has scum round the edges and that made gold disintigrate. within a day of being there my sisters ankle bracelet just fell off when in the pool, well you put it down to wear and tear, but just a few hours later my daughters gold earrings fell apart and as she passed them to me her gold chain fell off her neck. i told her to take the other off and as she did that broke into 8 bits. my sister took hers off and hers broke too!weird eh! well you can say it was coincidence but i believe it had something to do with the pool. i did complain to the owner and rep and was told it had nothing to do with the pool or the ammount of chlorine as it was checked regular and was one of the cleanest pools in lagana,and they swam in it, but as mentioned earlier we were back for the forth time and by far it isnt. not good enough! my sister had to report her toilet seat and door broken when we first arrived, it finally got mended 2 days later and the door broke again the next day. besides all this we did have a good holiday and the most of the staff were very friendly.

we 4 romford girls have not long been back from zante & miss it already! we had a great time staying at perkes & would recomend it. (even though it was a tad to far from the clubs for us lazy girls to walk!) just a little hi to woody & your side kick, im sure you wont forget us in a hurry! xx

The people who have moaned about this hotel and area - did you not read up on it before you booked, no offence but what did you expect!! There are some lovely areas of Zante there's not just Laganas as a resort.

Glad to be back home after two weeks in Zante. We feel that we have to tell people the truth about the resort of Laganas. It is not for families or couples at all!!!! It is mainly an 18 - 30 place with loads of bars and teenagers absolutely everywhere.
The owners of the Perkes are lovely people but we were kept awake until 4 - 6 am every morning because of groups of girls and lads banging doors, playing music and shouting! The walls are very thin and you can hear everything, the rooms are very basic as is the breakfast of bread, cheese and ham. The same every morning if you can get up from lack of sleep!! It takes about 5 mins to the nearest telephone and shop and about 20 - 25 mins to walk to the beach. The only saving grace is that the beach is lovely and the greeks are very friendly and Zante Town and the blue caves are worth a visit. We have to honestly say that we won't be going back to Zante in a hurry!! Oh and the airport is like a bus station it's that small!!!!! Anyway if you've already booked I hope you have a better holiday thatn us, if you haven't i wouldn't bother!!

hi, i stayed at the perkes between the 29th july and 6th of aug. i met a few lads from salford and i just thought i should let you know i got tested when i got home and the doctor has found out i have syphillis. apparantly side effects include acting like a t**t and leaving crap messages on message boards. i just thought i should let you know because i slept with most of you! perkes rocks.

just one down point in the perkes had to walk five mins to a phone and i had to fone my sarah 19 times a day a spend 1300 euros on the fone. do the dentist chair in wild coyote i cudnt cos i was always ill!(thats what my mates thought anyway). if ur goin ask woody the boys to girls ratio! guarentees a giggle.

we were a group of lads got back on the 10th the hotel was very clean maids came around daily and cleaned the hotel staff are very polite and helpfull the hotel bar and food supplied was very good.
pool was a lovely size weather was great walking distance from the night life or a very cheap taxi ride away.
the hotel was a nice mix of groups of lads and girls/ couples even a few families were staying there, youi have to hire a fan and safe box but are quite cheap.
the only complaint we had was that the continental breakfast supplied was not great and we only had it the once how long are you going for any other questions?

Manda here from London! Any of you guys who just got back remember us? We had a very wet and wild time! If you know what I mean!

the lads from hull enjoyed our stay at the perkes. although it was a bit of a trek to the main bars and clubs, the hotel itself was spot on! the pool was always buzzing during the day, the owners rachel and nic were excellent hosts, the food was also very good.

the perkes hotel also employed the best barman in zante. 'woody' was a top bloke and he was from yorkshire which is a bonus. i'm afraid we can't say the same about the other barman though. 'nick' was a bit stuck up his own a**e sometimes. he also thought he was a ladies man but we got told he was no good in bed! he also can't play football very well. us hull boys stuffed a bunch of lads from down south (including nick) 8-2.

overall our stay at the perkes was excellent and highly recommend it, if you are not bothered about been out of the way of the main part of laganas.

Hi Sam, I went to Perkes last year with one friend and came back with loads. I definately think its a safe and friendly place for a girl to go by herself, if I wanted to travel alone it would be my 1st choice. Nick and Rachel will make you feel so welcome and when we went there we made friends with such a good group of people . My other friend has been there 3 times now and said its always the same. So id go for it, I don't think you'll be alone for long. Only thing I would suggest is don't go out by yourself at night, the Greek men are not to be trusted!

Just come back from 2 weeks at the Perkes and would thoroughly recommend it. Intend going back next year.
P.s Nick, the blues were so lucky.

Ello, its Kat from hartlepool, just got back from the Perkes hotel 5th july and i definately want to go back at some time again just not end of june/beginning of july, i almost melted. Id never been abroad before n i think it was a little much for my pure white skin to handle hehe. Came back with some good memories, some bad. The hotel was a bit too far walkin distance to the nightlife for me tho i am a lazy you know what lol. could always get taxi down for 5 euros tho so happy days :)

Although some people may think the hotel rooms are a bit small n not up to scratch they did it for me, was jst what ya want sumwher to kip n get out of the sun. However, if u ever get room 20 n the bed on the left hand side dont expect much kip. me bed was rubbish, a fell thro it on the last night n it wasnt off doin naughty things a was turnin over in me sleep n bang thro a went lol

Its defs the people that make the hotel, both staff (especially woody n nick) and the other guests, everyone is dead friendly. al be attachin some foties soon of the barmen n a few people we met out there very soon. zante is ok for any age kids. we are staying in perkes this year. we were worried last year as we were going for the first time, our kids were 12. they really enjoyed it, so much so we went back in october, and going again this year. we tended to not go down to the main strip much, as you are made very welcome in the restraunts on the way down. we ate at the paradise restraunt just across the road from perkes they really made a fuss of the kids. we even stayed there drinking all night too. we are now good friends with the owners and keep in touch. hope this eases your mind some.

I am going to the perkes hotel on june 10th 2004 with my husband and son. A bit worried because the wee one is five and it seems not to be for kids although the brochure stated for families. Can anyone put my mind at rest

Oops, forgot to answer the rest of your question Spud!!! The beach is at the other end of the strip to the hotel, but it only takes about 10-15 mins to walk. However, depending on when you're going will depend on the state of the beach. It was pretty awful when I was there, but that was towards the end of the season in September and there was loads of litter around the place so we spent our time round the hotel pool. But if you want the beach for water sports, you'll have to ask your rep about that, cos we went to mavratzi beach as part of a cruise so don't know how you'd get there ordinarily, how long it takes to get there or how much. Hope this heps a bit!!! xxx

Kerry Willis, there's no air con in the rooms but you can hire fans for the rooms though can't remember how much they cost.

Spud and co. food and pool are excellent, me and my mate normally ate at the hotel before going down the strip - depending on how hungry you are, you can get a toasted sandwich or chips and a drink (alcoholic) for less than 5 euros. The portions of food are good. There's not a huge selection but you're not limited to the same thing everyday. If you get bored eating in the hotel, there's always McDonalds on the strip or the many restaurants. Pool is decent size, with spring board and sun loungers are free.

In general, take some sort of insect repellent. My mate and I took stick and spray (used it before going out each nite) and also had those plug-in things which we plugged in before we went out and didn't get bitten once, though if you don't use anything, you will get bitten and it's not an attractive sight!!!

My wife Carol and our daughter Mirryn (2 1/2 years) just got back yesterday, the 20th after a week long break. We had a great time. Ratchel, Nick, not forgetting Italia (think that's how it is spelled) were great with our daughter and made us feel at home which is often difficult with one so young. Al behind the bar was also great and kept us all well entertained with his reparti. We intend to go back next year but probably earlier on in the season, late May early June.

hi just got back from perkes on 29th aug it was my 1st time abroad and i loved it hotel rooms are basic no fridge,kettle or tv but you dont need them.the main thing was they are cleaned daily,hotel food was excellent and very reasonable priced,ie-1 euro for bottle of water,2 euros for soft drinks,2.50+ for alchohol,cooked breakfast is 3.60 euros and thats for huge cooked breakfast ,toast,tea and juice.hotel staff were friedly and pool was clean spent most of my time there.there are all the latest movies on every night that are on at the cinema over here i saw bruce almighty,american pie3 and pirates of the carabian.the hotel caters for single groups familys and couples.have a lovely time people.

Hi all just got back from staying in room 40 went out on the 27th september for 2 weeks This is a big shout out to Rachel,Nick,al & michelle & the rest of the team at the perkes a Big Thanks for making us feel really welcome we had the best two weeks ever, amongst doing all our water sports & massive drinking sessions sitting by the pool was always a great laugh, most of us wanted to stay another week or two a well recommended place to stay if i must say so myself. all the best from the guys from rooms 40,11 & 12 deano's army

Excellent hotel, good food and large portions (just the way i like it). The Thomas Cook rep however (Nick) is a c*cksucker.. he still owes me 10euros for shortchanging me. Lied to me all week and still got NOTHING. >>>DON'T GO ON ANY THOMAS COOK EXCURSIONS UNTIL YOU'VE SEEN THE ONES IN LAGANAS AT HALF THAT PRICE...

Can someone tell me which tour operator they went with to stay at the hotel Perkes?
We went with 18-30 and stayed in the hotel Must directly opposite - pile of w@nk to say the least. We were very impressed with the Perkes accross the road, especially the amount of women staying there! Was it Sunscape or Sunset holidays people stayed with?
We will probably try and get in there next year as we felt we were in a spot on location.

Got back bout 3 weeks ago. And am i the only person who thought zante was a big pile of s***! Dont get me wrong hotel was ok, rooms very basic and toilet didnt work so room stunk! but apart from that, oh an being eaten alive by mozzies at nite!! Pool was very nice an bar staff friendly enough! But certainly wasnt impressed wiv location! (its a good 30min walk from the beach, bars, shops, decent restaurants etc...) dont mean 2 sound like a right whinger or nothin but couldnt wait 2 get home! 2 weeks was far 2 long! Certainly wouldnt go back!! (Zante in general that is!!) Soz if ive put anyone off!! I'm sure my experience was just a one off!! xxx

Just got back from a 2 week stay at Perkes Hotel. All I can say is it's fantastic. The pool was fantastic and the atmosphere was brilliant. The pool bar at night was excellent. If anyone out there wants a drink to kick them into the party mood, ask Alan for one of his Gas Chambers - guaranteed to set you up nicely!!! Alan and Nick had us in stitches, they really made the holiday for us. To all who are going, you'll have a ball. We'd go back in a minute!!!!

Hello!! I arrived back from the perkes on monday 7th...had the best holiday ever! All the staff are very friendly (Bianca, Alan, Nick and Rachael. HELLO!) and like to have a laugh, no matter what time of day or night it is! Met lots of new friends, everyone is english speakin so this helped. Hello to sofie and abbie! Great gals. Not matter what time you get in, theres always people around to have a chat with. I'm definately going back next year for a holiday but also to work for the summer... hi just got back yesterday heatwave there at moment! u can get safety deposit boxes and they do change currency at hotel.pool and hotel is really good and clean staff were really nice hotel has very good atmosphere.would def go again and the area its in is brill!xx

We just got bak. Pool is fine. Waterpark failed health n safety coz of lifeguard reasons. It isn't a waterpark anyway coz there are only 3 little slides. P.S don't touch fridge at hotel bar coz u will get electrocuted! I'm not jokin. Staff n atmosphere is great tho had a great time.

We took a taxi to the waterpark from Kalamaki, a complete waste of time and money, the Waterpark was filthy ( my daughter dropped her goggles in the pool and you couldn't see them on the bottom ), the lifeguard only has one eye and they put a cable strap round your wrist to show you've paid so if it get's caught on anything then your wrist will come off before the strap does. Don't go!!

Hi, Me and my mate Sophie go tomorrow!! I've checed with the travel agent, the water park is owned by the same people as the hotel, they just said its not up to British Health and Safety standards, so they don't recommend we use it, however the hotel pool is fine. So you can all relax!

Hi we're coming to Perkes for the 1st two weeks of July - soooo excited!!! I'm just looking for information about hiring a car next month. I'm 17 and passed my test 6 months ago. I am a very competent driver, no claims or accidents, but was just wondering if there are any companies which do actually hire cars to younger drivers? we have just spent two weeks at the Perkes good pool,food, friendly staff but ideal for the the under 25s .No air conditioning,no fridge very basic.The island is well worth a visit

Just come back from a week at the Perkes. Nice Hotel, lovely staff (may chuck you in the pool if your not careful!!)- really helpful. Its quite a way from the beach, but it doesnt matter too much, as the pool is nice, there is always enough sunbeds!! The waterpark wasnt open, but it looked good,only 4 slides, but a fun morning/afternoon out for kids (and big kids)!! Some nice restaurants nearby, but the pool bar food is good. (They do lovely Chips in gravy!) Rooms were ok, basic, but thats the way of most of the hotels in Greece

We had a brilliant holiday, and would recomend the hotel to everyone. It was quite quiet, with older people there when we went (last week), but it would be a good base for anyone of any age.

Was on holiday there in June, can anybody tell me if Woody is still there or did he go back home as he was ill when i was there and how is mick keeping? This was an absolutely fantastic holiday and would recomend anybody to go. Hoped to go back next year but could not get booked in but going to the thalia appartments and will be popping in to see all the crew and let the bairns mess about in the water park.

My friends and I have just come back from Laganas and staying at The Perkes and we can safetly say that the Perkes Hotel is without a doubt the best Hotel in Laganas. It is not the perfect location, or the exceptionally tidy and well kept rooms, and arguably the largest pool on the Island that make this Hotel the best, (although all these factors do help.) Oh no it is the people that work there that guarentee that your stay in Laganas is one of the best holiday's of your life. They are funniest people you will ever meet believe me, they will have you laughing from the moment you arrive to moment you leave. Woody and Nick, what can we say apart from MAD MAD, and VERY VERY BAD! Then there is smiling Stacey, even when the girl was in a bad mood she was still smiling. If you are staying at The Perkes, you have nothing to worry about, you will have a fanatstic time, trust me! and if you don't, 'What colour is the sky in your world?' - I can't wait till next year because I am going back.

The Perkes hotel is the best place to stay in Laganas,the hotel is clean, the food is great and the staff are really friendly, particularly Woody, (if you ask him really nicely he might play your cd by the pool, thanks for playing the stone roses Woody!) Anna Jeromme get a life !!!!!. My wife and I went on holiday to the Perkes Hotel for 3 nights and your comments scared the life out of us before we went !!!!! However,we thought (along with any other normal person that has stayed at the hotel Perkes) that the place was great and the people there were BRILLIANT. How you can say the staff were not friendly is a mystery to us. They were that freindly they even offered to tuck us in at night !!!!!!!!! A great big hello to Woody from the Drunken couple in room 105 who could sleep through an earth quake (Not to mention an arguing couple !!! I went to Laganas last year in july and going back this year and staying in this hotel. Could you please tell me how far away it is from the nightlife and the beach. Is anyone else going next year early July? Cu in summer!

As I said before Pam, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and being given a poor service by hotel staff when on holiday is something which I don't rate very highly. The world would be a very boring place if we all thought the same and, just think, the fact that I won't want to go to the Perkes Hotel again makes sure that there will always be a room available for you!!

Mark Coldwell, I think the thing that was wrong was ANNA JEROME!!!! How else do explain her comment 'not be persauded by the majority'. She was certainly in the minority with her opinion so don't anyone going here be put off by her remarks. It's an excellent place.

im going there on june 23rd next yr with 8 m8s just booked yesterday i was a bit concerned that the yellow walls wud blind when i wake up hungover lol so c*m on tell me nice things botu the place n the best places to go and any goss!

Blimey! Didn't realise that I was so in demand! It's not that we hated the place but for some reason the staff seemed to take a dislike to me and my boyfriend. On our first night there we thought we would sit at the bar and make an effort to chat but we were more or less ignored. The hotel itself was really nice - very clean with excellent facilities. Also, when we stayed at the pool and we had lunch this was always pretty good - especially the milkshakes. I just feel that compared to other holidays I've been on that the staff have always been such a good laugh and felt let down by the attitude we received from here. Each to their own though.

We have just had 2 wks @ the Perkes. Fantastic holiday. The bar staff are really nice and gave us more info than our holiday rep on places to visit..etc. We hired bicycles and a car while away and went to some fantastic places Steve and Woody recommended... Hotel is basic but clean. We were there for the Quiz nite on Woody's birthday.. and i hear the BBQ's are not to be missed!!!

THE HOTEL PERKES WAS AN EXCELLENT BASE WITH GOOD FACILITIES AND FRIENDLY HELPFUL STAFF. PLENTY TO DO AT THE HOTEL IF YOU CANT BE BOTHERED TO WALK TO LAGANAS CENTRE. We were here last year and and a great holiday -all the staff could not have been nicer the only pain was John and his fetish for water!!!! We tried to book again this year but couldn't get in.We're going elsewhere in Zante but it will be hard pushed to better the Perkes.

I think Anne Jerome must have been at a different hotel to the rest of us. ALL the staff were great, very approachable and a good laugh. We did eat in other places and saw alot of the island aswell. Maybe it was you that was unfriendly. As for locals maybe if you had spoken to Nick,he would have mentioned his dad is Greek.

Anyone who thinks a good holiday consists of sitting around the hotel bar watching films and sport on a big screen TV would think this was a great place. Personally, I prefer to see a bit of another country and eat at different restaurants. The hotel was certainly clean, with good facilities and in a good location but I would expect a bit more from my holiday.

BAR SATFF ARE BRILLIANT. bit dissapointed witht he nightlife on the strip but the hotel bar was a laugh. They make u feel right at home and really make the effort to make you feel included. I reccomend the bbq, its cool, althou my m8 burnt his face on the flaming sambuca's but that was his own stupid fault

The Bar Staff - Steve, Nick, Rach, Shaz, Mandy were all top class they were good talking to fun on nights. SO the person below i dont know what ur goin on about sayin there were boarin they were ace. I enjoyed it loads its one of the best hotels i saw in Lagnas. The Food was good the staff good the pool and our rooms were ace so stuff you people who say this place is crap its 'THE BEST'!!

I'm sorry but I just have to add further comments about this place. I can't believe how everyone keeps going on about how wonderful the bar staff are! I found them unapproachable and unfriendly. The only one who did make any impression was Woody but as for the australians there, they were as miserable as sin. Bar/hotel staff on previous holidays have always been locals and always extremely friendly - I wasn't at all impressed with this place.

Not too sure about this hotel. Was very clean but we were expecting to find some locals working there - not just English and Australians! Woody was definitely the most friendly of the bunch. Was a bit of a walk into the main area but not too bad. We hired bicycles for a few days which I recommend doing. It was really cheap and we got to go to the more relaxed resorts of Kalamaki and Argassi - definitely worthwhile.

we spent 2weeks at perkes hotel enjoyed every minute of it the nightlife in town is good but it is a bit of a walk to get there .the nightlife at the hotel is amazing they are really friendly and out for a good time.highly recommend a stay there. nick&woody are amazing but steve is a bit morbid at times

Run by excellent, friendly people (Steve doesn't smile much but Woody makes up for it). Made to feel very welcome and had a great time.

Me & my wife have been to the Hotel perkes 5 times over the last 5 years the hotel is not too far from al the pubs /clubs/resurants : but not too close to be a pain at the night mark0045@aol.com

Jenny - 20 mins to the beach, and 15 mins to the centre. Basic but comfortable hotel, with nice pool area in front.

Hi I'm going to Zante in two weeks, I have booked to stay at the Perkes hotel, I was just wondering how far it is away from the beach and the town centre and whther it's nice

been to the perkes once five years ago wot a laugh wet to the apts over the road two years ago still brill the people that run it are fantastic

I could realy do with some information on this hotel, I can't find anything. Looks pritty cool in the brochure though!
