grandma and grumpy took us to popeyes as they go back year after year had an excellent meal and plenty of it, the kids loved eveything about popeyes right down to andrew's singing at the table so much so roxanne chose popeyes to celebrate her 1oth birthday (oct 07) which they made extra special with a very big icecream with sparklers and the boys singing happy birthday but they didn't leave natalee out as she got one as well . the boy's can't do enough for you and the food's great. hope to see you next year

Just back from our hols, had the worst weather but the sunniest reception from all the staff at Popeyes!  This is an absolute must - staff are very welcoming, Dennis, Yannis and of course Andrew greeted us like old friends.  The menu is very good with a good selection of vegetarian meals too.  The food is well cooked and presented, and all are generous portions.  We never felt rushed, in fact we were frequently one of the last to leave, often playing cards after dessert, which are fabulous, try the country chocolate cake! The best atmosphere in any of the restaurants we visited - by far.

food and staff probably one of the best on the island, and, made the kids feel special by the little gifts given to them during the night.   excellent  

Only had breakfast here but it is the best in Tsilivi BY FAR!!!!!

did not enjoy this restaurant. Yes staff were nice and food was ok but the staff seemed to be more bothered about people who are coming in than the people who are already there. Yes great for kids as they get lots of attention and free stuff but i wouldnt go back. 

We had to pop onto here to leave a wee comment and to recommend Popeyes. The food and service were second to none. We have a young daughter and the staff couldn't do enough for her. If you're looking for any inspiration for where to eat when in Tsilivi, this is the place! Thanks to all.

 we went to popeyes june 2007 had fab time ,wasgreat with our daughter and remembered her name the next time we went bk! the food was great reali fresh produce and good atmosphere... i had the fish stuffed with herbs etc it was devine ,we all enjoyed our time there and izzy are daughter enjoyed the ballonns and popeye bag she got  freeand takes it everywhere   ....highly recommended were goin bk next mnth    well done noo,jay and izzy roebuck sheffield x

Out in Zante for our first time 3 - 17 Jun 07 and had read great reviews about Popeyes so we decided to pay it a visit.  Well the reviews were correct, the food was excellent with specials on every evening,.  I have never eaten so many steaks with a different sauce !!  In all we ate in Popeyes 12 out of our 14 nights, which says it all.  The staff were fantastic , friendly, helpful, restuarant is kept clean and as I said, you cannot fault the food for quality or price.  Many thanks to Dennis, Andrew, Yiannis and the rest of the team, for making us very welcome.  Andrew, please may I have a small glass next time for my wine !   Fondest regards, Dennis, Lynne, Liz, Amanda and Denise.  See you in Sep 07

Had breakfast here once, was extremely good service. They have a misting system to keep customers cool, one of the heads came off and soaked everything in its path, but never mind, thats life. Food was excellent, as was the fruit juice.

 Popeyes really made our holiday, all the staff were fantastic and catered to our every need! The food and prices were just great, nothing was too much trouble.

Visited Popeyes twice for lunch and it was really good...tasty, good sized portions and a good price, staff were really friendly, kept place very clean and always very efficient...try the sausage platter (sausage, beans, egg and chips) when u just want a good tasty lunch to keep you going

Got back two weeks ago, everytime we wish we'd stay'd longer. Dennis, Andrew and the team are all so awesome. They make the duration of our stay so fantastic, we hate to leave for another year.

This is our fourth year in tsilivi and we won't think of going anywhere else, the food is always delicious and tailored to our needs. Andy totally adores the beef stifado, and nobody in the resort does it better than Popeyes.

The service is exceptional, you would be hard pushed to find any uk resturant as friendly and attentive. We have so many good memories of how they have made us so happy including night caps in the power cuts, christmas cards and specially mixed wine for our specific taste (thank you andrew!).


I hope all the staff at Popeyes are having a great season and we'l see you next year.

Hello Everyone - just arrived home and missing you already, the food as usual was excellent, great service.  Thank you to all of you for making my birthday so special, the cake was wonderful.

Just returned from honeymoon in Tsilivi, visited Popeyes on several occasions as it was best resturant in town, it has true atmosphere of Greece, we strongly recomend Greek platter to share, an explosion of taste, fish was always amazing as was the service, HIGHLY RECOMENDED !!!

i had alot of fun at popeyes all the staff are kind and funny the food it great i went to popeyes 6 nights in a row and we nevr got bored of the restarant and the staff they are great i am deffinatley going to go back there when i go bak to greece and also hello to all the wonderful staff thanks alot for a lovely time while we were in greece love beau x x x x x x

A bit too english-ified for us! Only ate here once, we preferred to eat at the traditional Greek restaurants, the customers here seemed to prefer bangers and mash to the mousaka!!

Best meal,nice people this is the restaurant you must goto once you have been there you will not go any where else, We were half board went popeyes for a meal then never stopped going there for a meal. keep up the good work popeyes you will never loose your customers.

popeyes is 1 of the greatest places in tsilivi its gr8 fun there all friendly nd i always had breakfast there every day id always have the strawberry milkshake nd afta 1 year they new my order of by heart. i miss u all nd ur probably gonna c bob nd jenny everyday 4 2 weeks as there wiv out mei wish i culd c*m but i had skwl ill c u soon!

We have just returned from a fantastic week in Tsilivi and visited Popeye's on 3 occasions. The first time we just had a drink but the other two times we ate here and I would say that the place is well worth a visit. The staff were so friendly, even to our 6 year old daughters who enjoyed all the attention. I had the mixed grill and my wife had the fish and chips and one of our daughters had omelette and the other had a jacket potato. We even had room for pudding - Abbie having ice-cream and Kiera having strawberries with sugar. I myself had Popeye's special. The price wasn't too bad. We will definately go back here next time we are in Tsilivi.

Made our holiday,the food was good and the staff made us feel special. Well done Dennis,Andrew and all the staff. Look forward to seeing you all again

 Just arrived back from Zante and ate all the time at Popeyes. We have used this restaurant for all of it's 14 year life with not a single complaint (I don't know why the occasional diner says bad things about it unless they work for the opposition) The food is always Excellent as is the service from the friendly staff. You get large portions of hot food at a fair price. Nothing is too much trouble, if the vast menu does not have what you want just ask for whatever and it will be made specially for you. We've tried the rest but always go back for the best

 Hi -we just had a week in Zante and the friendly welcolm you get is great, food is excellent try the Croissants they are huge! I ordered 2 but could only eat one. We had breakfasts here the pancakes are the best I have ever had and the cooked breakfast comes with tea or coffee and orange juice.Our 11 year old daughter Heather loved this place they do a kids menu beans on toast & cooked breakfast too. My only regret is not asking the staff their names. Thankyou for your wonderful food nothing too much trouble and Heather got free lollypops at the end of her meal. We are coming back next year so see you all then really looking forward to that.  Carolina Michael & Heather.

We have recently returned from our two week holiday in Tsilivi and what a fantastic time we had... Thankyou to all the staff at POPEYE's for making us feel so welcome and for taking care of us. We were treated so well. The food was delicious... My husband misses his mussels saganaki! Excellent food, Excellent value, Excellent service all round. The staff are fantastic. Definately worth a few visits if you are heading out to Tsilivi. We will definately be going back again soon.

breakfasts are ok here, but def not the evening meals ,its a case of stack them and pack the customers in, and the service falls down big time.

Just back today, Popeye's is the biggest conveyor belt on the island. The food is reasonable and the service generically friendly (OK Boss, yummy yummy, tasty tasty.....). Couldn't help thinking the customer satisfaction questionnaire ended up on the kitchen floor and that I was stopping the waiter- 'George the Greek'-  from hitting on the girls at the next table when I asked for more drinks. On the upside, if you're pressed for time they won't hold you back..... as long as they're busy.
If this place has 10/10 then someone's pulling a fast one.

we visited popeyes 3 or 4 times during our hols and we always found the food was lush and all the staff were friendly. sometimes annoying when you're trying to eat your food and they keep talking to you! although we never felt rushed in and out. one waiter, george, always came and talked to us, think he had the hots for my mate!!  free shots after your meal...yia mas!  i would agree that it's more a family place rather than somewhere for a romantic meal so maybe not the place for all you romantic men (if there's any of you out there ) to take your wife or girlfriend

Before we went i read all the comments so we had to try popeyes. Best menu we saw on the island, service was good, but a bit it turned out a bit pricy, mind you we were not eating the greek dishes.   It seemed more of a family eating place with kids roaming around and shouting. Too many tables for the romantic meal so off we went for a smaller place the next night

i have to say im with david on this one! i went to popeyes with just my friend and the waiters wouldnt leave us alone. when the (cold and horrible) food finally came they even watched us eat!!

We were told to try this restaurant the first night we arrived we were told the kids would get spoilt how wrong they were we didnt feel welcome the meals were small cold bad value for money so bad we were not recommending to anyone all they wanted was our money

We just came back from Tsilivi and had some lovely lunches in Popeyes, you must try the chilli, it is fantastic.  Really lovely place, excellent service and would recommend to anyone. Thank you for the mugs, fridge magnet, keyring etc etc oh and the beer!! Suzi and Mark xx

Don't let the name put you off! I saw it and thought URGH! It screams cheesey tack! But we went. It was so good that we went back 3 or 4 times. Definitely worth a visit.

What can I say? but Popeyes is brilliant. Fantastic food and great staff you can't want more.

What can I say... I don't like drinking tea or coffee whilst I am away as I don't like the milk they use. However I was feeling really yukky withthe cold in May and we were out for a walk. We decided to go into Popeyes for a breakfast. I ordered Continental as I wasn't hungry. When I noticed on the menu low fat milk!!!! I asked for some for my tea and WOW!!!! I really enjoyed it and the staff were really friendly. My husband had a full english and he struggled to finish it..(but he did!!!!) He said it was delicious. So Popeyes is a must for a breakfast.

Popeyes was the best part of my holiday the waiters were very kind it was my birthday when we was there and i had it in popeyes ,the cake was gr8 and they made the cake ,if i went there again i would have the BBQ chicken wings....they were the best in greece id say.

Fantastic!! Whatever time of the day or night you visit Popeyes there will be something to delight your taste buds. The choice and quality of food is the best in Tsilivi.

If you have a sweet tooth try the Tiramisu it is out of this world.

The staff ar really friendly! everytime one of the waiters looked over i would start to giggle he made us laugh, we had our last meal in popeyes and we got a picture taken with all the staff.

I have had the pleasure of visiting Tsilivi twice now and each time it was made special by the friendliness of the staff at Popeyes.  For families, couples or people visiting on their own, all are welcomed.  The service is something we in England should learn from.  The food tasted lovely and the price very reasonable.

was recomend but was dissapointed as food basic and only just warm

 cant miss the place, great big popeye statue in front of the place, looked a bit cheap and tacky ,  it was lunch time and quite busy, we went in for a drink looked at menu (as you do, your on holiday for gods sake!) me girlfriend sam has a gift of always ordering the better meal out of the two of us,  not this time i had stuffed aubergine and was pleasantly surprised as it tasted better than the veggie place round the corner, staff friendly and one waiter a right character 'so far so good ' he asks all the time (u hav to be there)... try it

Popeyes is by no means the nicest restaurant in Tsillivi for food or ambiance, but then Im not sure it would ever claim to be.  You can tell by looking at it that its gonna be a cheap and cheerful place, and in both senses it is.

Whenever we wandered past in the evening it was always very popular, and whilst we preffered other places with perhaps a little more character in the evening, we ate lunch here twice.  The omelettes and burgers were tasty and good valuse for money.  The waiters were friendly (thought their jokes startnge ), and the service pleasant and attentaive.

We, as a family have no hesitation in recommending Popeye's. The food was excellent with a wide choice to suit everyone from Traditional Greek through Pasta and Pizza's to Burgers and a special childrens menu. Children are made especially welcome and should they not fancy anything on the childrens menu Popeye's will serve smaller portions from the main menu if asked. As the only vegetarian in the family I am used to making do with a limited choice, but I cannot fault the Vegetarian menu offered at Popeye's. I can highly recommend the vegetarian Mousaka and Mushroom Stroganoff. There was also a different vegetarian special on offer each night. My husband thoroughly enjoyed every meal - especially the Stamna and the Pasta Pesto was a big hit with our 5 year old daughter. The meals arrived promptly even though the resaurant was always busy. 

  

Whilst it was popular with the masses, Popeyes lacked any real character or atmosphere. TV dinners served on a plate!

we went here once and didnt really enjoy it. i got lamb kleftiko and my boyfriend got a burger. my dish was very small and had loads of cheese in it which ruined it and the burger had loads of sauces on it so he didnt eat it. they were great with kid and gave them free caps when they left but i think its over rated!!!!

Was in Tsilivi start of July. Heard alot about Popeyes and was extremely skeptical. The staff were all sooooo friendly and make it their job to chat to you. Restaurant was always busy at night. 

we visited popeyes three times on our holiday! My boyfriend rated their jacket potato with tuna and mayonnaise as the best in the resort and their mexican chicken salad was the best. Friendly service and excellent value for money!!!

Ate here twice. Nothing fancy on the menu but food was good. We used Popeyes as a snack bar or for breakfast. Reasonable prices and very friendly service to go with it all. Our 3 year old was looked after throughout.

had a nice meal here but wouldn't say its the best in tsilivi. however the food was very nice and arrived fairly quickly.

also you get a complementory shot after you're meal (of a hat/t shirt for the kiddies) which was quiet a nice way to start the nights drinking lol. and all those people we saw pulling a real face when they drank the shot it aint that bad! its hardly alcoholic lol. if you want something bad try an aftershock or absynthe lol!

Just returned from Tsilivi and had very good meals at the best restaurant in town, in our opinion. We have tried the rest but always return to the best. Excellent food, friendly staff and the best location to see the world go by. If you are only there on holiday don't leave it too long to try or you may regret it. Also very child friendly.

Arrived home friday 24.6.2005, had to visit popeyes as i had read so much about it, great place to visit, food brilliant, service brilliant, and everybody so friendly, keep up the good work.......... Yammas

Have now spent 6 months of our lives in Tsilivi during the last 10 years - can hand on heart say that Popeyes is by far the best place to eat in the resort.You can expect to wait a little longer for your meal but as they say - "All good things come to those who wait". Would suggest the 'special T-Bone' - although not on the menu if you tell Dennis (aka Popeye) that Rob from Newcastle reccomends it with the spicy Prawn sauce, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Enjoy -and buy a couple of  bigger belts!!!!  

i returned to the UK from tsilivi this morning. i visited Popeye's this week and thought the food was disgusting. i had pork chop which was mostly fat. a few cold greasy chips and cold rice and veg. it was the worst meal i had there and just going past there made me feel ill it was horrible!!!

Can somebody please tell me how much i can expect to pay in Tsilivi for a meal and just the local prices in general really.

Going to Zante for the first time this year !

FOUND POPEYES IN 1995, AND EVEN THOUGH WE TRIED OTHER PLACES

NOTHING COMPARED.  DENNIS AND HIS STAFF ALWAYS  GIVE THE BEST OF SERVICE.

Read all the great comments from this web site about popeyes so we had to try it and we were not disappointed. We went there on more than one occasion and found this was the best. Seeing as we sat across the road from popeyes in the reportage bar you could see it was packed full every night, all night not just when we were in. The great thing that shows you that this is a great place is they didn't need anyone standing on the street harrassing visitors to go in and eat unlike other restuarants. You had to wait longer for the food than other restaurants but that is very understandable due to the high amount of people they serve and you didn't mind as the food was very good. Try the potato skins acupulco style and the steak was  just the best! The waiters were very nice, have to mention "Andrew" and also after reading this web site again I think it must of been "Dennis" who came and showed his baby son to everyone. We would highly recomend you try popeyes.

We went to popeyes everyday of our hols,we would'nt eat anywhere else i think overall 300/10

well what can be said about popeyes that hasn't already been said? I went to Tsilivi for 2 weeks with my 11 yr old daughter and i think we ate there about 15 times all in all! This is not like me at all as i like to try a variety of places to eat but this place had everything! The food was delicious (we never had a bad meal), the prices were very good (especially the desserts) and Dennis and all the staff were fabulous! I don't think i have ever seen such fantastic customer service - they all smile continuously through a mad and crazy 9 hour shift! We both fell in love with Tsilivi and Popeys - so much so that we've only been home 3 days and have already booked to go back in May!! Can't wait for another portion of the most delicious strawberry cheesecake i have ever tasted (and the free shot of aftershock after each meal!!!) 192 days and counting!!!

Have just returned home from 2 weeks in Tsilivi and it was great to see Dennis again! (This will be the 4th time we have been there - the last being 3 years ago) - Glad to see that little has changed and we still really enjoy our evenings at Popeye's! It's hard to see how anyone can fault the restaurant, the food is as good as ever, and despite being very busy between 7-9 pm we never felt that we were kept waiting for any unreasonable length of time, if you want crap fast food go to a takeaway - this is a nice relaxed restaurant! Many Thanks to Dennis and Andreas for pleasant evenings, and to Katie, Joanne, and Gregory at breakfast.

Sorry to read David's comment below... We use Popeyes for breakfast everyday we're in town and have never had a problem with service or the attitude of the staff... To be honest, I've never witnessed anyone else have trouble either. However, anyone can have an "off" day. Having just got back to the UK from Zante I'm already missing the "Traditional English" with endless coffee's...

would not touch this place with a bargepole waited 30 full minutes for breakfast when i asked why the delay i was told i would just have to wait! not good enough

I don't think this place is as good as people make it out to be.
The food is o.k. but we waited a long time for it and because it's so popular it was a bit cramped with tables very close together.
Also the staff seemed to be overfriendly as if they're afraid not to smile at you.

excellent food and very friendley staff, each time we go back to tsivil we make a point of dinning at popeyes most evenings. in all the years of visiting popeyes i have never been disappointed in the service or the food i recommend his steaks.

first time in zante and popeye's was highly recommended by a friend. had to
say the staff were very attentive can we all say 'yia sou' to andreas, cheeky
george and the 2 nikos's. we ate there 3 nites, the food was fab all of it, the
price matched and the service was quick. we'll be sure to visit again. yammas

being very good friends of denis and nikki(owners of popeyes) for many years i am not being biased in saying that this place is one of the best in Tsilivi. We have never had a bad meal. The service is good and the staff are great with the kids. It's not very often that you see the owners of restaurants actually working to ensure that customers recieve excellent service and food, but dennis does, and he works extremely hard. Dennis, if you are reading this, give our love to Nikki and hope that it's not too long now before she has the baby.Will look forward to seeing you both and the ''little one'' next year.

We went to popeyes regulary when we came to Tsilivi cos the food wos lovely and the staff were sooooo friendly. Me and my sister went 2 planet n Lagana with a few of them a couple of nites n they were a great laugh. We all had a really great time and hope 2 c all the popeyes crew nxt year!

We really enjoyed our visits there we had lunch & evening meals there there steak is spot on.
I think our kids came away with everything bar the mug (that's on next years list)

Popeyes is one of the best restaurants in Tsilivi. The food is fab and the staff are great. The service is quick and efficiant and comes well presented, not to mention tastes great!! The staff are bril with children and always give free gifts to them such as t-shirts, mugs, keyrings etc.. I would definatly reccomend Popeyes if travelling to Tsilivi. What I just cant understand though is why people return for a second or third meal if they didnt like the service?? Mmm something must have been good to return, eh??

10 out of 10? Not while we were there... we visited three times! First time felt like they were trying to enter the Guinness Book of Records for quickest bout of indigestion. No sooner had we order drinks, then the starter arrived.. soon as the last mouthful was being swallowed, the main course arrived... as the cutlery was being placed back on the plate... the sweet menu was shoved under our noses - not impressed!

Second time was at Breakfast - we only ordered a bacon buttie and cheese and tomato toastie... and the waiter still got the order wrong.

Third time lucky? Not on your nelly... last morning of the holiday, we paid a final visit for brekkie, there was only us and another couple - took ages for the oder to arrive, then took an absolute age trying to get the bill... and after all that not a single waiter was dressed as the spinach loving, bandy legged, muscular deformed sailor.

What do you mean 'gluttons for punishment'? Forget Popeyes try Athena's

What can i say about this restaurant except everybody must visit it at least once during their holiday. The service is fantastic, food fantastic and the staff are very friendly and attentive. It is a great place to go with the children and you won't find such a varied menu.

Great food. Had veg lasagne which was lovely and everyone elses were good too. lot better than most places.

Popeyes in Tsilivi is a good place to eat, prices are good,and I found that the Mosaca (both the vegi and the meat one were very tasty. As for those who thouht that the place was bad,obviously did not think that the multi-culteral cuisen was what they wanted. I think that my partner caught Andrews eye, and the lady waiter (Olive) as nice too. All service,food prices was excellent. Well done to the Owner and all the staff for an ejoyable two weeks of food

i liked the restaurant, nice friendly atmosphere a little packed mind you. Great food and lovely waiters. Free keyrings and tshirts are given out somtimes nice place to go with children

I really really liked this restaurant. The Margaretta pizza was delicious, i had that every time i ate there. We didnt have to wait long to be served, the only fault was we did hav to wait a little bit for the bill, but otherwise, it was all spot on. The staff were really friendly, always remebered you, and even waved if u were walking past the restaurant. Andrew (i think that was his name!) was probably the nicest waiter there, Dennis, the owner was really friendly and gave me a 'Popeyes' pen and keyring and Thomas was the FITTEST waiter i have ever seen and had the nicest smile ever!!! Finger's crossed he'll still be there next year! The best time to go to eat there, i found was between 7:30 and 8:00pm, it started getting busy after 8:00pm. The location of this restaurant is spot on, in the centre of the town, and in my opinion Popeyes well and truely deserve their 10/10.

If you want Excellent food served by the friendliest waiters in a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere this is the place to visit.
Due to it's immense popularity, you may have to wait a few minutes for a table, but it is well worth the wait.

The breakfasts were amazing! Went almost every day for brekkie, but only once at night - we don't have kids and it was a bit too family orientated for me, although I can see that this is a plus for others. Waiting staff were always really friendly. The menu is varied, but it's not the most Greek of places - the food's a bit like an American diner.

The food, service and value for money was excellent. You may have to queue a few minutes for a free table but it's worth the wait. This place is busy for a reason!

Great service, waiters great with kids - free hats, t-shirts, mugs, pens. "Gordon" bleu chicken burger is delicious! Would recommend anyone to visit.

FOOD RE HEATED SERVICE WAS VERY POOR DUE TO TRYING TO RUSH YOU TO FREE A TABLE PLENTY OTHER PLACES WHICH ARE FAR BETTER THE ONLY REASON WHY THIS PLACE IS BUSY IS THE LOCATION .

This restaurant is always very popular, and usually has a queue outside. The food is good, but there are plenty of other restaurants with comparable quality. A good place to eat for children, they are looked after by the staff, but don't bother to queue. A very compact restaurant, with the tables a little too close for comfort.
