Oh god.....I'm depressed! I'm trying so hard to look forward to this hol but all I keep hearing is negative comments. We will make the best of it no matter what but I fear that I may have made a huge mistake when I booked this hotel. Annamarie...thanks for your honesty. Does anyone else have an opinion?

Laura S

I  stayed in the Admirals Aparthotel for two weeks. I got back last thursday. i thought the aparthotel was very clean and the maids were very good as they were always hard at work .  I found that the location was very close to bars and restaurants, although Popeyes and Mcdonalds was a fair walk away.

The entertainment was excellent, in my opinion this was because of michael, who did activities during the day and of a night, things such as; water vollyball, lilo races, killer pool and much more.

The only bad thing were the rooms. they were cramped although i think they are bareble. they were very clean though.

I had a great holiday staying at the Admirals Aparthotel. mostly due to the staff and entertainers.

Thank You!!!!!

Steph G

Dawn.. the place is great!! the rooms are just a nice size! everything in one room! And u really dont spend time in the rooms! you always find yourself down at beach or joining in the games and meeting new people there(must say everybody i met was great) i am 15 and thats what i thought of the place...id recommend it to anyone and im goin back in july '06 honestly dont listen to the bad comments...some people are just hard to please...just go and enjoy yourself

Annamarie B

Hi Dawn

A totally honest opinion as we stayed there at the end of June for 2 weeks. T he place is lovely and clean, the maids are excellent. The food at Popeyes and Grecco is amazing as are most of the other resturauants. The food at the Admirals is as good. The beach is small but excellent for kids.

HOWEVER

The rooms are abismal...... It in no way could be classed as a 1 bedroom. The only seperation is a thin sliding door. The kitchen, wardrobes and 2 single beds in one bit and a double bed and dressing table in the other. No room whatsoever. The fridge does not keep things cool either. If we had not had a spare bed we would have had no where to put our empty cases or anything. There is no air con and it cost 2.50 euro to hire a fan per day. They are old and noisy.

The evening entertainment was not really anything, some quizzes, some drinking games for all the people who want to get totally drunk. There is absolutely nothing for the kids to do in the evening, apart from wander around the resort playing with a friend. Yes they were noisy but bless them, they have nothing else to do. The kids club was ok...... when it was on. And one of the nights you have to pay for them to go for 3 hours. I think it is on 3 nights upto 8pm and the day one a couple of hours either 12-2 or 2-4. I had a ten yr old and it could have been so much better.

I would never go there again. The Island is lovely but my experience has put me off. . My daughter was so bored that she spent a few hours in the pool and then sat indoors reading.

Im sorry to be so negative in this way and im sure there was a lot of people who enjoyed it and people on here who will disagree but this is my honest opinion of the place. Oh and buy some and powder/spray as the come on the balconies and bite........

Wish you had asked before booking, as I wish I had done.

Annamarie

We're heading to the admirals in 11 days and don't know what to expect.....reviews and comments are so mixed!!! So come on PLEASE will someone reassure me and tell me EXACTLY what our stay in a 1 bedroom apartment here with our 9 year old daughter will be like... I await with baited breath :)

Steph G

How can people say something bad about this place? it was the best place iv ever been...people who complain about noise and kids runnin riot need 2 lighten up ... its a family place... familys normally involve kids and noise... i guess theres no pleasing everyone but if u wanted a quite place why go 2 a family establishment ? idiots

Vanessa S

Russ,

You haven't quite got the knack of sarcasm have you?  Or spelling.

Steph G

Holiday Was Amazin!!! I had the best time ever...totally recommend it to all familes great place for them and anyone my age.. 15-18 was top knotch!! Staff were fabulous! And Nice  Luved everyone i met there .. food was awesome .. activites were class .. totally rememorable! Miss it already

Russ T

The place was clean and tidy, but why where the wardrobes in the kitchen. The pool area was a nightmare, unruly kids with parents that would rather get drunk by the pool than control there out of control offspring. Me and my fiancee ended up going to the beach (which is lovely), for the last 10 days or so for some peace and quiet.

A special treat every Monday and Friday is, you'll have lovely loud music played for you by the wondeful rep. Strange how this is the day after a new intake, with JMC wanting to cash in as much as possible.

As far as the kids entertainment, well, you have a gobby Irishman Michael spearheading a wonderful entertainment package which includes volleyball, lilo races, and other well thought of ideas.

Overall though our holiday was great as we spent every hour, excpet being asleep away from the place. The apartments are well out of the way, and we reckon you should try the Meatballs in Stamnes, WOW. Also, get into Utopia, free shots and great barstaff, Destan George and Vasso. Chippy was great on the way home aswell.

Kirsty G

hey if any1 has msn and has pictures off ur expereiecnce of ur stay at admirals send them 2 me at ragekirsty1@hotmail.co.uk i went and really enjoyed it i I WOULD REALLY LIKE PICTURES OF THE ENTERTAINMENT STAFF MICHEAL GEORGE BEN DARREN AND JOHN SO PLEASE SEND THEM from kirsty

Ruth W

We've also stayed in the Admirals and the only complaint I have is that I had to come home! You'll love it and the staff are ace too.

Helena W

Nothing wrong with the admirals, it is absolutely fantastic. We have stayed there 3 times over the past 2 years and we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. The rooms are lovely and clean, and the maids come in every day bringing fresh towels, bedding etc. The pool area is lovely and clean and is cleaned every morning before 8 am. The poolside snack bar is lovely too and very reasonable. There is a kids club for the children and the reps are ace with them. Could not fault the place. The staff are really lovely and friendly and are very entertaining. If you don't go to this hotel then it is your loss. You will have a wonderful time there.

Michelle T

Hi Phillipa - wondered what you thought of your stay at the Admirals?  I still would prefer to read positive comments from everyone to feel 100% sure we have not booked a holiday from hell but when I looked at some of the neggy comments they seem to have been putting on negative comments since 2003 so it seems they really want to make a point!

Chelsea O

We are going to the Admirals Aparthotel in 2 weeks time can you give us any information on the conditions in the 1 bedroom apartments.  Also what is the weather like in mid August?

Jennifer A

Hi Lisa,

That would be great if your husband could get it for me. Could you send it as an attatchment in an email. My address is JenniA769@aol.com.

Thanks, Jennifer

John W

I have just returned from 2 weeks at the Admirals.

It is an ideal place for families with children but not if you want a quiet holiday.
They don't have any life gaurds on either of the 2 pools, so you must keep a eye on your kids as the pools can get crowded at times.
They do clean the rooms every day but only the floors. the towels are changed every 3 days but we had to ask to have our sheets changed.
The entertainment staff were very hard working and helpful, as were the hotel staff, They responded to any problems, ie faulty fridge, within half an hour.

Some of the rooms do have air conditioning, ours didn't, but it wasn't uncomfortable.

Lisa J

Hi Jennifer We have copy of the Kids Cd that George gave to us in May.  It has Mimic Man, The Court of King Caraticus and loads more Kids tunes.

I am sure my husband Kev will be able to get you the song if you haven`t got hold of it already???.

Cheers Lisa

Helena W

Hi Ruth, sorry i haven't replied earlier but i've not been online for a few days. Have you checked your bulk mail messages too? Just incase it has been sent there. Try registering again and if it doesn't help then e-mail me on xg0u2081@liverpool.ac.uk and i will try and help you. The thing is, i get onto this particular review site by going to the message board first. Obviously you myst get through a different way. Do you need a password and username etc when you write your reviws on here? if so, then try using the same password and user name on the zante message board. Good luck and like i said let me know if you manage to get on. I did look out for you, but thought it odd that there were no posts from you as such yet.

Jennifer A

Karon S

Hi i'm Karon from the Courser Chinese Restaurant.  It seems that many of you only discover us towards the end of your holidays - don't leave us till your last night, because i promise you will want more.  We are not even 100yrds away, at the hotel entrance turn right and we are opposite the Kaliva Bar.  So if its great food, big portions and friendly service you are after (i'm one of your waitresses !!!), then come and visit us - we do fantastic curries too.  By the way, there seems to be a lot of interest in my accent, so lets make it a bit more interesting - a free 1/2ltr carafe of local wine to those of you who can guess where i'm from.

Charlie

Helena W

Hi Ruth, we were at the admirals last september and we went at the end of may too, so we have another 14 months to wait now before we go back to the admirals again. We love it there and miss everyone so much. Yea it's a shame we are going to miss one another - with you going next may and us next sept. Yes we have a family - got a 19 year old daughter and 2 boys aged 7 and 9. My daughter has been to Tsilivi a few times with us, although she didn't come with us this year as she went to malia with her boyfriend. Have you not been on the Tsilivi message board, where people can communicate online? it's ace. All you have to do is type in www.justzante.com and then on the left hand side of the page near to the bottom you can click on Tsilivi message board. I'm a moderator on there LOL

Ruth W

Hi Helena, this is getting to be a habit for me to be on the message board I don't normally get involved in these things but to be honest I'm really quite enjoying it! We're going on the 10th May (I think) it's round that date. Are you going this year again? It's a shame we're going to miss each other cos I think you and I could have a good natter over there? Have you got a family? Speak soon.

Helena W

Hi Ruth, what date next year are you going back to the admirals? We are going on the 7th september 06. Cant wait. It will be our 7th visit to Tsilivi and our 4th time at the admirals.

Michelle C

hi ash just to let you know there isnt any air conditioning in the rooms, but you can hire a fan at the reception at a small cost. hope this answers your question

Ash C

Does any one know if Admiral is air condtion?

Ruth W

ditto Helena couldn't have said it better myself - she should email Carol and go on holiday with her! what a bunch of old moaners. You suggested that Carol went with Saga, I disagree because they wouldn't like that either - old people like to talk and have fun too and this pair sound as if they wouldn't know how to enjoy themselves!! What's the problem with kids playing football and people drinking to have a good time? That's what we do when we go and I have no intention whatsever of stopping my kids and us having fun no matter what the time is. As far as tiny and stuffy is concerned she's way off line and if she's looking for air-con she obviously didn't read the brochure before the holiday was booked because it stipulates that there isn't any. The brochure also tells you that there is entertainment every night so what does she expect? All tucked in and sleeping for 10pm?

Helena W

you're talking out of your a**e. we have been to the admirals 4 times and never experienced the problems you have mentioned. maybe you should have booked into the caravel with all the blue rinsed krauts. sounds like you would fit in quite well there.

Sharon F

Just the most dreadful place I have ever been - noisy, cramped, truely tiny, stuffy, hot rooms - guests who have no respect for others - kids playing football at all hours while their parents are nowhere to be seen, drunken men shouting and jumping in the pool in the early hours of the morning - no air - con, no comfort - nothing nice about it.

Eileen B

P.s you really need to try Premier restaurant on the main rood their food is gorgeous and they are so good with the kids but never had a bad meal the whole 2 weeks, enjoy YAMMASXXXX

Eileen B

well everyone,s entitled to their opinion (except carol) cause it,s nonsense.my friends are there at the moment and i know they will be havin a great time ,hey it,s zante.hi carol ,scott, paige chloe&luke have a blast wish i was there in admirals partyin with george & u lot x

Lesley

Well said Ruth to the boring lady who slated the Admirals. We have had a 2 week stay at the admirals and returned just over a week ago. We had only been back in England 8 hours and had booked again for next year. Both me and my husband work hard and enjoy a good holiday with our 2 children and the Admirals was fantastic. We never saw the type of people the moaner was talking about, i dont know what her problem was. If i was her (which i am glad i am not) i would stick to the Saga holidays that cater for the more mature person, however she would probably moan about that being too common and loud for her and that is an insult to the mature people who do like a good time. She wants to get a life! Hi to george and the gang and Laura (by the way Laura, Robbie found his gun for his clone trooper ha ha)

Helena W

Well said ruth - i agree with everything you have said. The admirals is a great place to stay. The staff are great and we have met some fabulous people there over the years. Holidaying is about chilling out and enjoying yourself, and what better way to do that, than to soak up the atmosphere at the admirals. We have been to Tsilivi 6 times since 1999 and 3 times to the admirals since 2003 - wouldn't stay anywhere else now, absolutely superb it is. Roll on sept 2006....................admirals here we come again.

Debbie K

Had a great time at the admirals, how can anyone moan about such a great place (carol) it was brill. The reps night was fantastic so was the flowing beer, keep up the good work Dave and Laura.

Ruth W

I've never placed a comment here but like to keep up to date on all the messages so I check it every week, but I just felt I had to reply to Carol's totally unfair and out of order comments about the entertainment and people who stay at the admirals. you obviously have no idea what fun and hard work are because the people you have slated are fun loving holiday makers  (most of them with families like myself) and the others are staff who work particluarly hard to make our time enjoyable. We stayed at the admirals last year and although we can't afford to return this year, we have booked up for next year and really looking forward to it. Maybe if she came down off her high horse and let her hair down she would discover that she was the only one not having a good time, having so said I prefer not to holiday with stuck up, self righteous people who complain all the time. And just for the record my husband and I work very hard to pay for our holidays and know that by going to the admirals it's worth it. so Carol my advice to you is GET A LIFE!!!

Michelle H

i totally agree with you Kev, how could anyone not like the atmosphere at the admirals?? i think people who dont like noise should stay at home!!!!

Helena W

Just want to say - LONG LIVE THE TSILIVI ADMIRALS - IT ROCKS.

Kev J

HI to everyone at the Admirals.

Just like to say ho to Shazza and i think u will find I beat you at Killer pool and volleyball and water polo.(need i go on).Hope u will be very happy if u move there good luck to u.My e mail address is kevjor007@hotmail.com send me an email and i will email u some pictures.
Also that last comment left by Carol is talking complete and utter S**T she is either far to stuck up or went to a different Admirals to me and my family, People go on holiday for a good time dont u know.
Well cant please everyone but i was more than pleased with my holiday and am booking for september.
Quick hi to George, Darren, Michael,John and Samwise Ghanji aka Ben aka Ben stiller Daisy is still dancing to The court of king caratacus.
   Long live the Admirals
   Kev Lisa Daisy and Jordan

Carol K

This hotel was filled with the most ignorant, ugly, beer swilling brits you could ever have the misfortune to meet.

Greek dancing night basically means Greek letch night and most of the trips were rubbish and over priced, the worst being the Reps night where they put on a show for you. Rubbish food, poor entertainment and vastly over priced.

Apartments were clean but the place was very noisy and rooms were small.

Great resort but stay away from this hell hole!!!!!!!

Lesley

hi, we have returned today from two weeks at the admirals and it was absolutely fantastic. George and his team were always entertaining the young and old and it was brill. happy Hazel and Jolly Jodie from the kids club did a brilliant job. My kids have said it was the best holiday they have ever had and i agree. Michael and Ben were brilliant entertaining the kids even in the evening which was a bonus. The Reps were very good and were on site daily (laura was fab, in the pool with the kids and everything). We enjoyed it so much we have already booked for next year (8 hours after getting home) , so thanks for a fantastic holiday you lot and keep up the good work. My kids, Rikki and Robbie say a big hi to everyone x x x

Jennifer Q

I loved Zante last year and it was a pity that we never took the trip to the main island to olympia when the olympics were there. However if you walk right out of the foyer of the hotel turn right then right again as if your walking down to the other hotel you should find a very good resteraunt beside the tsilivi admirals. Im not sure what it is called but it is open resteraunt. There is a really nice lady and her husband that run the resteraunt. The food is divine and if you go long enough(we went every breakfast and dinner!) then they may give you something complementary(free). We got a bowl of fruit to share between the three of us (my family) and next time maybe a shot of nice cherry stuff.
Thier puddings are gorgeous!! the mouse shaped chocolate thing and the general chocolate cake is absolutely heaven! I URGE YOU TO GO THERE!!!

Vikki D

Hi, i fly out to Zante on Sunday, whats the weather like over there at this time of year cos i've looked on some weather forecasts and they have give out rain.

Michelle H

Me and my friend shelley went to the admirals in may, we had the time of our lives, jeff (kev) do you remember shazza ?? i beat you at killer pool. Anyway i am going back there in 12 days and counting as i met someone there and am contemplating moving there.

Helena W

take your kids to popeyes restaurant. You can't miss it as you will have to pass it to get to the admirals. Very child friendly - always giving the kids free treats, such as frisbes, lolipops, baseball caps, t-shirts, key rings etc etc. They love kids in there and make them feel very welcome. Once you have visited, you will never be forgotten.

Have a great time at the admirals - it's wonderful there and the staff are second to none. Happy hols

Dolores I

Had a brill time in May that was our third time . Cant find a fault in the place , everyone was helpfull ,Sikis at reception,Eddie the manager, the cleaners ,the snack bar staff and the darling of them all George and his boys and girls . We just booked up today for two weeks in Septmber 1st till 14th so see you all then .Wink

Annamarie B

Hi Vanessa,

Thank you so much for that. Its a weight off my mind as well as the liggage.......... Lots of people have said that the resuraunts are child friendly, which is great. As you say, over hear its still very much a case of children must be seen and not heard....I also have a 10 yr old girl and she is very polite etc but obviously still wants to play and have fun.

Cant wait to go now....

Cheers

Annamarie

Vanessa S

Hi Annamarie

You'll have no problem with finding food etc for your little boy.  There are supermarkets all over the resort and most are open till late.  We haven't got a baby but we will have next year so we took note of what was avilable!  You can get your usual baby foods - Cow & Gate etc and nappies - Pampers (you will recognise the brand labels just remember the writing is in Greek!).  You can more or less get anything that you would buy in the UK.  All restaraunts are child friendly, they genuninely adore children.  It's not like over here where a trantrum can set off tut-tuts and dirty looks!!

Hope you have a great time.

Vanessa

Annamarie B

I will be going to Tsillivi in a week. I have a 1 yr who is just starting to eat normal food. Obviously there will not be a great deal meal wise he can eat as he only samples food at the moment. Could anybody tell me if its easy to get jars/tins baby food there. I dont want to have to carry 28 jars of food with me if I dont need to. Struggling with fitting his stuff already as he has no baggage limit.

Also are nappies easy to get. I dont mind what sort as its only 2 weeks, though he mainly uses pampers.
Thanks in advance for any replies, I will be very greatful.

Cheers

Returned on Monday after having a great week in Zakynthos.

The Admirals Apartments are good. We had a two bedroom apartment and there was enough space for us to all move around without bumping into each other. We had to pay for a further night (Sunday) as our flight was Monday morning and you have to vacate by noon on Sunday -unfortunately we couldn't keep the room we had and got moved to a smaller room that had 4 beds, which if we'd have been given for the whole week would have been too small and uncomfortable (but maybe it was just make shift for us for one night and is normally only a 2 bed apartment). Closet space for 4 of us was at a premium but we managed.
Obviously the rooms are self catering but I wouldn't have wanted to have tried to cook anything there as the kitchen area was a little cramped. The apartments were spotlessley clean and we had maid service every day and the bed clothes and towels were changed daily. The main pool area was well populated and you have to be out early for a sunbed - hey but the beach is only a short walk away and there's loads of sunbeds there.
People around you contribute to a good holiday and we found all at the Admirals quite friendly (staff and guests). We're not big fans of organised entertainment so did not sample too many evenings in the hotel bar, but from what we did see if you like a nice relaxed friendly atmosphere where adults and kids mix and quizzes, bingo, etc - then you'll love it.

So, forget the bad reports you may have read or heard elsewhere - the Admirals, Tsilivi and Zakynthos are great - only minor downside is the airport - v small - but they have built a new terminal next door that looks ready to open, not in 2 weeks as our rep told me, maybe 2 years!

Helena W

just got back from another fantastic time at the admirals - fantastic bunch of lads again this year. George if you are reading this, you looked fantastic in that frock on our last night, and hey, whats that greek guys name that works on the reception desk at night? he's absolutely gorgeous. Bit young for me mind, but still he's a stunner.

Have a great season guys, and George, after our conversation last thursday night, if you ever need to chat, just let me know, okay??

Luv and hugs to you all. see you all next year.

Vanessa S

Hi

You can book a room for a late check out 24 hours before you are due to leave. It will cost you 35euro.

You can use the launderette down at Planos Bay. It costs 6euro to do a wash/dry. The Admirals, Planos Appartments and Planos Bay are sister hotels so you can use the facilities in all 3 ie the pool, entertainment, bar, food etc.

There's plenty of supermarkets throughout the resort and a shop underneath the Admirals and next to Planos Bay so you don't have to go far if you run out of water or fancy a biscuit with ya cuppa.

One thing for sure is that you will have the best time ever at the Admirals!

Enjoy yourselves!

Vanessa

Kev J

The hotel has a shop that is open till 10.00pm and sells most essential items.. The nearest supermarket is an approx 5-10 minute walk. Heading further away from the hotel you will also find one near the escalater and cash point ( near Popeyes) and another one is situated around the next corner.

As far as I am aware no laundry at the hotel..I did spot a laundrette further down the road thou!!! Approx 10-15 minute walk.if that helps at all?????

Cheers Lisa

Wayne

can anyone tell me if you can book to stay in your room for a late departure as we are going to have to vacate our room at midday, the day before departure and with having 2 kids this is a little worrying.any info would be appreciated.

Vikki D

Is there a laundry on site, and a supermarket. (20 days to go)

Michele

went out to greece for the first time in my life this year and loved it... stayed at the tsilive admirals and had a great time. and very surprised to hear that george (entertainment manager) and rachel (night time receptionist) came from my home town of paisley in scotland.came back on the 16/05/05 and had my flights booked by that afternoon to return on the 18/09/05.

big huge hello to rachel and george  xxx

and a big hello to ben, mickey, darren, daniel (when u were thr) and john

and also to the thomas cook reps louise dave colin hannah and cara and most importantly i better say a big hello to jollie jodie and happy hazel from my daughter keana

hope to see you all in sept

Kev J

We visited the Admirals on 5th-19th May and had a fantastic time..The hotel is kept very clean and our room was cleaned everyday and clean towels provided.

We were extreamly lucky as we were in C block which overlooked the smaller pool and also the childrens play area, which was very handy as our children aged 5 and 11 enjoyed the park. There is also a roof terrace, which not many people seemed to know about. It was a great suntrap and also had a great view of the sea..It was ideal for us as we had it to ourselves for two weeks - what a bonus!!!!

The hotel also has another pool , which my son spent most of  his time he enjoyed diving for spoons with Ben. They also have games that the adults can join in such as water volley ball which is great to watch whilst you sunbathe.

The snack bar is excellent value for money - I would recommend the full breakfast and also you can get a burger.chips and salad for E2.50.

My daughter loved the kids club which she could go to 10.00am till 12.00. A big thankyou to "Jolly Jodie" and "Happy Hazel" - Daisy is still missing you loads!!xxx

Finally the entertainment staff  George, Ben, Mikey, John and Darren. You were a pleasure to meet and are an asset to the hotel -  We are still dancing to " The Court of King Caracacus"!!!.

To anyone who is going to stay at the Amirals you are going to have a holiday to remember. If you do fancy a night out go on the Reps Caberet Night  - Dave the Jmc rep is fantastic in it..

Hi everyone, never been to Tsilvi before (or Greece for that matter) and very unsure of what to expect from the Admirals.  Me and my partner, Andrew, are flying out from Wales on 30th June.  I've read totally conflicting opinions on the place and even though it looks lush I'm a bit nervous as to what to expect.  I'm just hoping that the hotel is clean, the weather is lush and there's a large supply of cocktails.  From reading the reviews it seems as though a lot of families stay there, which I'm hoping is a good thing !!  Is anyone going there the same time as us????  Five weeks Thursday and counting!!!!!!

Debi C

Visited the Admirals last May and decided to return for another week in May 2005. Had another brilliant week thanks to the staff - John, Micheal, Ben and Darren  and met some brilliant people who I hope will stay in touch but my main thank you goes out to George the entertainment manager who is an absolute star, love you to bits George, missing you  I hope everybody who visits the Admiral enjoys it as much as my son and I did

Hope to see some familar faces when I get there as long as no one has been sacked for kipping on sun loungers.

Michelle,

We too had read conflicting reviews on the Admirals at Tsilivi but not from this web site. Never been there before ourselves but went to kefalonia last year and went on the justkefalonia website to read up on the place and the reviews people had left. It was exactly how people had reported it - excellent. So if the people who post reviews on this website are the same then I would believe what you read here.
We are going to Zante in 10 days time and will be staying at the Admirals. I will post an honest report when we get back. I am going with my family (Hubby and 11 & 2 yr old).
Don't pay the balance of your holiday off just yet (but I'm sure it will be okay!)

Andy G

Hi we have booked to go to the Admirals on 25 August for 2 weeks. There are conflicting reports on the place but I am going with an open mind. I am going with my hubby and 7 year old son - any advice, hints, tips, information gratefully received as never been to Tsilivi or Zante before.  Let me know if you are going the same time as us too!  Thanks

Vanessa S

Got back yesterday from the Admirals for the second year running so up to my eyes in washing and ironing but taking time out to say WE HAD A FANTASTIC TIME once again.  A huge thank you to everyone. Keep up the good work and have a great season.

Phillippa

Hi Helena,

Thanks for the information.
Looking forward to going  - counting down the days 18 to go!!!

Phillippa

Helena W

Hi wayne, you will just miss us by 4 days. We go from 26th to 2nd. It's great at the admirals, you will enjoy it. Our boys (aged 7&9) love it there.

Philipa - sometimes it can get a bit chilly at night, but to be honest, apart from this year we have only ever stayed there in sept and oct. it varied then from night to night. Sometimes we were out in just short sleeves and sometimes if there was a breeze, we would put a light cardigan on. You may not need to in June though. Some friends of mine are out there now and they have been posting messages from internet cafe's saying that it is really hot, even at night up till now. Even if you get breezy nights, you will find it more comfortable for sleeping.

Phillippa

Hi, can anyone please help. I am going to zante for a week at the end of May/early June. A friend has told me that it gets a bit chilly in the evenings and that I should pack light jumpers/cardigans. I have only ever taken my holidays in July and August before and there is definitely no need for such attire then! Can anyone else advise?

Wayne

we are going to the admirals on june 6th for two weeks.we have 2 boys, is there anyone else going at that time with children aged between 8 and 11

Helena W

does anybody know where georgia is, that worked at the admirals snack bar?

Wayne

hi phil.in reply to your querie about your room, we also have an early flight back home (7.30) and we have been told that we have to leave our room at 12 noon the day before. Our tour operator has said that we may be able to book to keep our room on when we get there but it is a first come first served basis. i hope this helps you

Michelle C

hi phillippa. hi we have been to admirals 3 times before, and are back in august.the answer to your question is you have to be out off your room midday sunday the day you leave. in you case you will have to leave your room midday sunday..i hope this is ok.

Helena W

Hi Rita, following on from my post to you, the e-mail for admirals is

Email them and ask about the cots etc. Good luck.

Helena

Helena W

Hi Rita, the rooms we have always had at the admirals have been one big room containing a bouble bed and 2 singles. You would really need to contact the hotel direct for more of a definite answer. I did have the e-mail for the admirals, so i will have a look for it and post it on here.

With regards to your querie about the nearest hospital, the nearest is in Zante town, which is approxx 15 mins ride away.

sorry i couldn't be more helpful.

Shrew

Hi - just a big shout out to all the workers for xenos and everyone else i worked with last year

Just like to say big happy 21st to darren and i'll see you on the 12th mate - 1 week to go!!!!

Rita M

We are thinking of booking at the Aparthotel Tsilivi Admirals. Our four year old has brain damage and occasionally has seizures where she needs to be admitted to hospital - how far is the nearest good hospital? How do the rooms come? We have a four year old and a 11 month old and ideally would like to put them in the same room and husband and I in another. Do they provide cots - we would need 2 and 1 would need to be big to fit the four year old in. Asking the impossible I know but we have unusual circumstances. Thanks for advice

Phillippa

Hi, can anyone hep me on the matter of flights to Zante, or rather, back from.

We travel beck home on an early morning flight Monday morning (7am). I checked with my tour operator that we had the hotel room at the Admirals the night before (Sunday). They said yes, as we had it for 7 nights starting the Monday night. But I have read things that contradict this on this website -is my tour operator lying? (it wouldn't be the first time!!!)

Thanks

Much appreciated

Helena W

Hi there, we are going to the admirals for the 3rd time on 26th may. Haven't really had a problem with regards to the lack of hot water. A lot of places are solar powered, so no sun, no hot water, lol. Never had this problem at admirals, apart from last year the hot water system broke and the water went cold, but it was soon repaired, in a matter of a couple of hours. If you get your shower before 8 pm you shouldn't have a problem.

Robbo

no probs jon, allway,s plenty of hot to spare, have a good hol.

Jon H

Hi, visiting the Admirals in Tsivili for a week in June - can't wait.

Visited Greek islands before and biggest problem I found was hot water for showers (lack of it!) - can anyone comment for Admirals.

Thanks

Jon

Ellen M

is there an e mail address for tsillivi admirals zante, if so can you please let me have it

Beth

hi michelle

the rooms do get very hot during that time of the year but you can hire fans from reception if you require one.

i would strongly reccommend The Family Restaurant if you like to eat out at night. the staff are realli friendly
and the food is delicious. suitable for all the family as you mite hav gathered from the name lol.

Regards Beth

Michelle T

I have booked a 2 weeks holiday from last week of August with my husband and 7 year old son. Are the rooms at the Admirals overly hot as I believe there is no air conditioning? Also wanted to find out where is good to visit as a family and any handy hints anyone has that have been there before. Thanks very much

Mandy M

hey!!!

Helena W

Hi Jamie, i think most of the staff will be there again. I know George deffo will be. We are going may 26th for one week. Anybody else going this time?

Jamie F

Went to the Admirals last May with my mum for a week, had a fab time!

Anyone got any ideas who the staff are going to be this year, looks like we're coming back, but with a couple of our mates this time.

If you are still there George I look forward to seeing you

Jamie

Shrew

To everyone i worked with last year,

change of plan, i'll be working in zante this year as a karaoke host, touring hotels  - coming out on the 12th may! c ya all out there!!!

Wullie M

Thanks for that Vanessa....it kinda echos what others(mostly Helena Amstel) have been saying lol.Really looking forward to going now....not sure if i'm posting this in the right p[lace tho,as couldnt find the right way in lol.Anyway, thanks for reply, deffo have no worries about destination.

Vanessa S

Hi Wullie

We were at Admirals last October and going back on the 1st May. The apartments were kept spotless and you could hire fans or pay for air conditioning. We have an 8 year old son so the kids club was handy on days when we wanted to stay around the pool. There's a poolside bar/cafe so you don't even have to leave for somthing to eat.  Eating out in Tsilivi isn't expensive and the food is spot on! Take your daughter to Popeyes, shell love it (so will  you).
The staff at the Admirals are all really friendly and great with kids. I'm sure you'll have afantastic time. See you all there!
George it was great seeing you in March.  Have a good journey over. See you in May. xx
Vanessa

Eileen B

hi Fiona, myself my hubby and 2 boys aged 4and 9 were there last july and it was great it was really clean. We like you had read horror stories but it seems there is just no pleasing anyone, we thought we,ll go and make the most of it but we didn,t have to be like that it was absolutely fine. The staff were great with the kids and it was just very family orientated. There is a snack bar during the day and as Helena says the latest kids films on all the time your wee one will have a great time.At night we went out for something to eat and a couple of drinks then back to Admirals about 10-11 then sat there for a while George and the gang always keep you amused. So please please don,t be put off we had probably the best holiday we,ve had so far so much so I wish we were going back but we,re off to corfu this year hubby wants to try there so happy hols we,ll be back x

Fiona W

I really really need some honest feedback on Admirals. Have read some rather negative feedback on the accommodation. Could you please enlighten me as to air conditioning, kids club for 7 year old, bed space, cooking facilities - really just generally whether the holiday and accommodation is truely fabulous. Desperate to know... we are booked for June 05.... b.mcgeever@ntlworld.com fiona x

Fiona W

We have only just booked a holiday to Zante for June 05 and there will be two of us plus our daughter Amber aged 7.  We booked this place as it it had a Kids club.   Anyone who has been there before coule you let me know know exactly what it was like.  We have been on a couple of sites and the feedback was poor /average.  Is it dreadful with no air conditioning?  Teeny tiny rooms?  I would genuinely appreciate honest feedback if you have been there - we are considering changing accommodation if it is truely awful.
Please email me on b.mcgeever@ntlworld.com    thank you and your opinions much appreciated!!!!
Fiona  x

Helena W

yes, you can hire fans at the admirals for a small fee. Can't remember how much we paid last year, but it wasn't much.

Shrew

Hi Rach . . . . Was gonna come out still and get a job in laganas, but i think i'm not gonna bother now - i've had enough with people saying i have a job or should definatly have a job then being let down and this time was the last straw....told 19 days before i'm due to come that my job isn't there anymore, because basically it has been given to someone else! i'm fed up of being stabed in the back basically. so i'm gonna stay at home! i have a good job lines up for me in the uk, so i think in june or july me and my mates might pop over to magaluf or somewhere like that.

Give me a ring rach, i aint spoke to u for ages

Helena W

click to enlargewe first went to Tsilivi in 1999 when it was still the drachma, and found it to be very cheap. We have been to Tsilivi every year since then, with the exeption of year 2002. We found that things changed once the euro came in. However, it is still pretty reasonable to eat out etc. Restaurants are quite competative too - some offering free kids meals etc. If you have recently been to corfu, you will probably find that the prices are very similar. If you want any more info on best places to eat etc, let me know, and i will get back to you. post a message on the Tsilivi message board. If you go to www.justzante.com you will see a list on the left hand side of page near the bottom. Click on tsilivi message board, and post a message there.

Thanks.

Helena W

Wullie, You will have a great time at the admirals - lots of fun and banter and a kids club for your 7 year old. The kids club runs 2 sessions - 1 and a half hours in the morning, and the same in the afternoon. nightly entertainment is also available in the lounge throughout the evening. Also a film on the big screen in the lounge at around 6 for your youngster and the liikes. We found this ideal for our 2 boys because we could get showered and ready in peace. The centre of Tsilivi is about 15-20 mins walk from the admirals, but there are so many restaurants and bars on the way to the centre, that you needn't venture that far, if you didn't want to. I too have been to Corfu,(sidari) but it was 13 years ago. I loved it there, but i love Tsilivi just as much. Both have their own different characters. I found the beaches to be nicer in zante - shallow water and safe for kids. Food - kids meal, approx 2.50-3 euro. Adult meals - 5- euros and upwards. Drinks - a pint and a vodka and coke came to 6 euro's last year (thats the dearest we paid) But the vodka was more like a triple one lol. Prices are competative in different places.

I am staying at the Admirals in August. Can someone please tell me if there is any airconditioning available, or fans to hire. Does anyone have a map with it's location. We are making our own way from the airport, we have been to zante before so know our way round a bit but not Tsilivi. I have also heard mixed comments regarding the new waterpark, what are your views? Any information will be great.

Wullie M

Hi everyone, just wondering if Admiral/Zante will be busy from 5thMay(flying from Edinburgh for 2wks).First time @ Zante for us,is it comparable to Corfu? Have a 7 year old daughter, will there be much on for her? Is there a water park nearby,if at all? Is food & drink pricey? Thanks for any replies, lookin' forward to meetin' what looks like a friendly bunch ;) Cheers, mines a lager!

Hi Helena Thankyou so much for taking time to reply. I definately feel better now and am once again looking forward to my holiday. Not too fussed about Beach Babes, althogh it would be nice to get a couple of hours without keeping watch. Thak you again, and I will report back on my return. Regards Annamarie

Helena W

i also forgot to mention that they show a nightly film on the big screen in the lounge at around 6 ish for the kids. We found this great because we would get our 2 boys showered and changed, and then they would sit and watch the film whilst we got ready to go out. The admirals is a family hotel, therefore your son will make lots of friends with other children. It has 2 lovely pools. When you arrive, you will see one of them in the centre of the complex, but just around the side, there is another pool with a segregated baby section. Happy hols.

Helena W

Annmarrie, yes there is a kids club. one and a half hours in the morning, and the same in the afternoon. It was certainly still there last sept because my 2 boys used it. There may have been days when there were no children in the day - perhaps they had gone out with parents etc, but certainly while there are kids, then the club is on. You can also use facillities of planos bay opposite admirals. They are sister hotels. You can use their kids club too.  Not sure about the baby entertainment, but maybe that is new for this year, especially if it says in the brochure that there is one.

I am sure you will enjoy the admirals. We always have a wonderful time. Everybody is absolutely lovely.

Helena W

annemarrie, i have tried to post in reply to your message but it wont post. Maybe i am writing too much info. I shall have to do it in bits.......................

Hi Will be staying at the Admirals end of June for two weeks. First time there. Have a ten year old and brochure said kids club available. Have read some reports to say that there is nothing for the kids. Specifically booked the holiday for the kids club. Can someone put my mind at rest that the kids club is actually available. Also have a ten month old and brochure said there was a Beach Babes club a couple of times a week for babies. Is this true. Thanks for taking the time to read and please reply

Hi Helena and Dolores,

Thanks for replying to me.  I am really pleased to hear that the entertainment will have already started especially as when we have been away in May before as it is the start of the season nothing has started.  It certainly sounds like fun at the Admirals and I cannot wait until I go on May 5th

Thanks

Sonia

Helena W

Hi Sonia, Yes the entertainment will be on when you go. Infact i have just recieved an e-mail from one of the entertainment staff and he is due to fly out there in just 4 weeks time - prior to the start of the season. What date in May will you be at the admirals? We are stayiong there from May 26th till 6th June.

Sonia S

We are going to the Admiral Hotel in May, does anyone know if the entertainment will be on in the hotel or is it to early in the season.

Thanks

Beth

They do run activities for kids during the day such as games and competitions, and in the early evening everyday they have a film on suitable for all. They do run a kids club also. We love Admirals and because of this we go back year after year. This year will be our seventh time at Admirals. Hope you enjoy your stay there as much as we do.

Wayne

Could anyone tell me what the weather is like in first 2 weeks of may is it good tanning weather and will i need a jacket/jumper in the evenings.
Is it cheap for beer and eating out etc
Thanks to anyone who can help
Kev

Helena W

Hi Liam,

What date in september were you at the admirals last year? We were there in September too - 9th tll 23rd.

Liam M

the hotel itself was great. we really enjoyed our greek nights at the hotel. the bar staff(daniel) are the people who make your holisay great NOT THE REPS. it is NOT suitable for people in weelchairs as it is hard to get into the rooms. also the shower was 1m by 1m completely unsuitable for disabled, also it is 15minutes up a sligh bank (small) to get to the main resort centre. i recomend popeyes as we had a grat night and friendly staff (helped with our weelchair. the airport is crap. we were laughing when we got back. it is like a hut and the dutyfree shops are more expensive than the shops in the resort centre. overall it is and average hotel and we went in september 2004 ant it reached 40c so i hope u enjoy the heat.

P.S. there ARE elevators in the hotel so no worries
STAR- * * *

Kev J

Have just booked 2 weeks at the admiral do they have a good kids club my duaghter is 5 and enjoyed Cyprus
Never been to Zante before is it cheap for eating out, drinking etc
I would appriciate any feed back on the subject.
Kev.

Eileen B

hi Vikki we were there in july last year and it was brilliant there are a good selection of bars and restaurants on your doorstep and a 5 min. walk takes u to the main street where you,ll be spoiled for choice. You can step out the admirals the back way and walk along the beach which is quite pebbly but if you walk another few minutes this takes you to the sandy part and the water is lovely. We usually went along the main road to get to the beach cause we had a buggy but you,ll have a great time we,ll definetely go back again staff are really nice especially George n Rachel

Helena W

Hi Vicky,
If you come out of the admirals and get onto the main road and turn right, you will come to bukka beach in a matter of 5 minutes. This part of the beach is quite narrow, very quiet too, but is still very good for bathing. You can actually follow the coast line to the right and it will bring you to wider parts of the beach with plenty of sand, so if you have kids, this is ideal. Alternatively, you could come out of the hotel and head for the centre of Tsilivi and take one of the many turn offs down to parts of the main beach.
As for restaurants and bars - the admirals is situated in a quiet part of Tsilivi (in the planos area) but there are plenty of places to eat. apart from the fact that you could head off towards the centre of Tsilivi, there are plenty on the way there. There is one right next door to the hotel called Stamnes, which is really nice. Check out the message board to see comments from others.
Also if you come to the front of the admirals and take a left onto the main road,Keep walking, and within about 5 minutes you will come to many restaurants. The choice is ample - Greek, English, Italian, chinese and Indian. If you have children, then they will be well catered for too. Apart from the chinese and indian places, all the other restaurants offer a childrens menu.
The admirals is a lovely hotel. We return there year after year. All the staff are great and there are plenty of organised activities which you can take part in. There is a kids club too. I think you have made a great choice.
Have a great time.

Vikki D

Helena W

Eileen, Yea that sounds very much like George - looking after everyone. That guy survives on a minimum amount of sleep, to make sure everybody is looked after. He is a 100% committed to that job. I honestly don't know how he does it. I'm glad to hear that he is going to be there again this year. If you are reading this George, keep up the good work, and get those bottles chilled for 22nd May, because fingers crossed, we are on our way, and this time George, without the plaster cast LOL
Luv and stuff, Helena, Gary, Dominic and Simon.

Geraldine R

Darren you were saying about being able to share the kiddies clubs aka Admirals and Planos. The hotels are all connected as they have the same owners I can't be 100% sure but dont think it would really be a problem as they are very commited to making sure all their guests are happy and well taken care of. Hope this is of help to you. Cheers

Eileen B

Hi Lesley we we,re the same as you last year I,m afraid booking a room was first come first served and we missed out but it wasn,t that bad cause we actually met really nice people who let us use their shower but there are showers downstairs in admirals anyway the staff are really good George was going round making us all teas or coffee(bless him)and they,ve got big comfy sofas so I,m sure you,ll be ok have a great time (I know you will)we,re going to Corfu in June but I wish we were going back to Zante now

Steph H

Darren, Planos beach/bay apartments are right across the road from each other,I cant comment on the kids clubs though as I have never used them.

Darren

can anyone help us with the walking distance between the tsilivi admirals apartments to planos bay and also can the kids share the kids club?

Cheers all

Georgina B

Thanks Stephanie! We are all so excited about coming on holiday! Has anyone got any recommendations for restaurants/bars etc...does anyone know where we can get a good moussaka? also...can anyone reccommend a good day trip...i've heard you can go to kefalonia for the day?!

Stephanie H

This is for Georgina. Tsilive Admirals I would say is for everyone, maybe just a bit more geared to families. We took a taxi to Laganas, and it cost about 20 Euros, and took us about 25mins to get there.

Georgina B

Hey....me and three of my girlfriends are coming to admirals in June on my 20th birthday!!!! (very excited!!!!!!!) we don't like things too busy but do want to be able to go out and party etc...is laganas a taxi ride away? and is admirals totally family orientated?

Shrew

Hey rach, i'm doin fine, how r u!!! yeah i should be back this summer to work again, just got to wait for conformation from the big boss man!!!!

Rachel

Hey Shrew its Rachel!! How are you? Im comin back next year. Are you? I think nearly everyone is back.

Steph H

Eadaoin, I went in the last week of the season in October, and everything was closing down, but from what I saw, there are plenty of bars/resteraunts, I'm not sure about clubs though, I would say Laganas is more of a resort for teens/younger people if you want full on night life. Hope this helps.

Eadaoin M

I am trying to find somewhere for myself and my friends to go on holiday. We are all around 18/19 and i thought admirals would be a good choice but after reading the comments on this site im thinking its more of a family resort.Would this be true or is it for young people aswell? thanks for listening.

Shrew

ok then, who's back to work next year??????

Jordan M

Hello its Jordan. Dont know if any will remember me but George should as 1 of his angels and daniel should for constantly chucking me in the pool.hello Darren the finger man! Eileen B

Hi george know we.re a bit late but if u remember we myself Derek Lee & wee Ross stayed at Admirals from 4th july till 18th july 2004 had a brilliant time everyone was so friendly kids had a ball.got a bit annoyed reading some of the negative comments as we couldn,t fault anything apart from crowd of singles who jumped in the baby pool most nights but reception did do their best to get them to shut it. you,Daniel not forgetting lovely Rachel in reception & co helped make our holiday memorable so thanks for that . also thanks to our lovely maid who kept our room nice and clean with plenty of fresh towels if we needed them as well . so if your going to admirals you will have a great time if your not a whinger that is!George remember when you,re home in Paisley give us a visit cheers

Jennifer Q

how do u change your location because i actually live in the uk!

Jennifer Q

Hi samia remember us? we sat on the same table as you at the reps night! how are you? i thought the holiday was great! my sis used up her film recently and she had got them developed today and it still has ones of george, daniel and the whole crew dancing!

nice to hear from you!!

Helena W

Hi Lesley,
We were at the admirals at the begining of September - it was our 4th visit to Tsilivi, and the second time we have stayed at the admirals. You have definitely chosen the ideal hotel, especially if you have kids too. It is in a good location, has 2 lovely clean pools and the staff are so nice and friendly. The rooms are cleaned every day and supplies of fresh clean bedding and towels are ample. The entertainment staff are wonderful and will go out of their way to ensure you all have a fabulous time. The kids will love it. They also have a kids club too, so your children will be entertained for 3 hours each day if you wish. They also have various activities taking place in the pool - water volley ball and such, which both kids and adults can take part. In the evening (from around 6pm) they show films for the kids, which is ideal for you, if you are wanting to get showered and ready to go out for the evening. The kids will be able to sit in the lounge and watch the film. They also have various activities and entertainment going on throughout the evening, all for adults and kids alike. All the daily activities are posted on the message board which is situated by the front door to the hotel in the reception area. I would highly recommend this hotel to families with children. It is second to none. We will definitely be going back to Tsilivi again, and will definitely be staying at the admirals. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else now, as we have had 2 excellent holidays here and the place just gets better each time - especially because the staff never foget you. We have made some great friends there - cheff Nicos, Georgia from the breakfast bar, and all the entertainments staff. I don't know whether you have been to Tsilivi before, but it is one of those places that draws people back year after year. I'm ashamed to admit that i actually cried when we left this year. I hope that you all have a wonderful time there, but i'm sure that you will anyway.
Take care.

Samia A

Beth

lesley havejust got back from admirals 4 the 5 time the single apartments have usualy 4 single beds the beach is about 5 mins go right when u reach it you will come to a lovely sheltered bay realy shallow ideal 4 kids there r a couple of nice tavernas nearby i recomend the stamnes about 3 mins from admirals and the kaliva pub 4 a drink i think u will like it there yes and its quiet regards

Stephanie H

Lesley, we, (being my 17 year old daughter)and me, have just returned on Sunday, after a totaly relaxing hol.We had a one room studio on the ground floor. It had one double bed, and two singles, plenty of room for two, but may be crowded if there was 4 of you. All the rooms appear to overlook the pools, there are two.Every day, they put on a film for the kids at 6pm, and I think they had other stuff going on through the day. As it was end of season, it was probably limited. The nearest beach is 10mins round the corner, the main Tsilivi beach is about 20mins, this is where you will find all the water sports. The apartments are at the far end of the resort, in a quieter part. But there are plenty of shops, bars, resteraunts etc if you walk into town, which takes about 15mins if you stroll.Hope this helps, if you want to know anything else you can email me on:steph.hayter@ntlworld.com.

Lesley

Does anyone know how far it is from Tsilivi to Aghios Sostis, which is near Laganas. How is the public transport.

Chris W

George and Daniel put the A in Admirals. All the staff are brilliant. The cleaners never stop, very polite and always smiling. We will go back to Tsilive and the Admirals. Hope George doesnt forget to give us a ring and we'll show him a great time in Barnsley.

Anon

DARREN I LOVE YOU YOU MADE MY HOLIDAY ESPECIALLY THAT SNEAKY SNOG WE HAD

George R

Look out Admirals! We're on our way back for the fourth time. We love staying there and we hate to leave. We hope to visit you many more times in the future. May i add that the staff are very friendly and we think you're all brill! So look out for us on the 22nd Oct! The Roberts Family.Rugby, England.

Gill C

i have just read the comment from hazel and i think she was staying somewhere else. i was over at the admirals in july and it was my second visit there, again we loved it and are still in touch with george via e-mail. the entertainment staff were brilliant and daniel was cracking whenever i hear maria here maria ha ha it brings it all back. so thanks again lads brilliant. from gill, paul and a big kiss from georgia the carnival princess.xxxx

Helena W

well what can i say, apart from the fact that we have just got back from the best holiday ever at the admirals - despite the fact that i broke my wrist 4 days prior to flying out there.
could not fault the entertainment staff, bar staff, chef, cleaners etc one bit. everything was 'spot on'. George, daniel, darren and chef - you were one of the most genuine and kind guys we have ever met. The rooms were spotless and cleaned every day. never known a hotel to offer clean towels and bedding as often as this hotel did.
I made an excellent friend at the hotel - georgia from the snack bar. if you are reading this georgia, take good care of denis and costas and i promise to write very soon. Also thank you for the prezzie you bought for me on our last day, it was so kind of you.
chef - a big hug from all of us here, and vicky sends her love.
lastly but not least, i would like to make a comment about george, and that is he is one of the most genuine guys we have ever encountered. always helpful, always full of fun. He's one of these guys who doesn't need to put on an act to make people laugh - he's a natural at his job. george, if you you are reading this, we certainly hope that you will be there next year, especially because we missed out on a lot of the fun this year because of my painful wrist being in plaster.
Darren, you are a great guy too. Very funny and entertaining.
Daniel, you are just so sweet, and you look more greek than the greeks do. LOL. Enjoy your work abroad whilst you are still young, and live life to the full. You are a star.
Hope to see you all next year.
Love Helena, Gary, Vicky, Dominic and Simon.

Michael C

no they dont

Brian R

do you have a launderette?

Jayne B

hi folks we had a fabulous time at the admirals george, daniel and darren are all stars and they all smell like roses.
i also read the comments on the messageboards and other places and i was beginning to wonder what we had let ourselves on for.
but when we arrived we all got a pleasant surprise.
the cleaners are fantastic and are always pleasant and smiling and they love children.
we firstly met sam the kids rep and she was great for the whole of the holiday. i have got 5 children and she had four of them for us and kept them entertained nothing seemed too much (although that applied to all mentioned above aswell)they kids absolutely adored her and still mention her constantly
so if you read this sam hi from jordan lauren courtney natasha and of course williamxxxxx
the battle of the sexes is fantastic and george and daniel looked fab!!!!! although they looked fab all of the time ;o)
the evening entertainment provided by george, daniel and darren was great they kept the children happy and adults the same.
we especially enjoyed george referee the afternoon volleyball match on the fun day and his white shorts got a bit wet and flashed us his thong lol.. shame i didnt have the camera or we could have posted the evidence.
we all had a fantastic holiday and everyone at the admirals played a part in that.... we cant wait to come back to see you all next year...

we miss you all already and thank you.
jayne, andy and the kids (mentioned above) xxxxxx

Lois W

it was exellent! darren u were wicked (in bed) lol u really made my holiday great, missin u loads if u ever read this tell every1 i said hello specially elvis! lol hope to c u agen some day xxx

Holly M

It was amazing especially the entertainment. Daniel looked good in a skirt in battle of the sexes and George and Darren were really nice.

John J

Hi everybody had a great time there in august. Great reply to e- mail you told us about George. Say hello to Daniel, Darren and George etc. Hope to see you next year. Hi to Shirley, Dave, Darren and Mark in Paisley.

Nigel & Kerry

We thought we would add our own twopenneth. We went for 2 weeks with our 2 girls , ending 2nd September , flew from Bristol , JMC Holidays , ages 42 ,42 ,13 ,10.

Firstly the Hotel. Reading entries on the internet before we went we where apprehensive. We found all the staff including the cleaner very helpful. The girls had a great time with the in house entertainments and a special mention for George and Daniel in this respect. These 2 work their socks off. George even got up at 7:30am to wave us off on the morning of departure.

Rooms cleaned daily , towels changed every other day , linen changed every third day........can't fault this. The rooms were fine for sleeping in and having breakfast on the balcony.

Location close to beach , and you can use other hotels pools , some for free , some for a few Euros.

2 great places to eat in Tsilivi town Centre are Popeyes and Calypso. The food was excellent and at good prices.

Last but not least we made great friends on the holiday in Ray , Sara and Rachel Foster. Thanks for holding our hands when driving ........you'll know what we mean !!!!!

Shauna

Wow cant believe what that women hazel has wrote who does she think she is. She obivously gets pleasure out of putting other poeple down. I personelly know George smells as clean as fairy liquid so maybe her own pits need a good wash. These boys work extremely hard for not a lot of money so I think they need a tap on the back instead of slagging off. So Hazel if your reading this grow up and get a life women. Admirals one of the best hotels in Tsilivi by far.

Ray F

Hi everyone! We got home from the Tsivili Admirals on 02/09/04 and would just like to clear up a few points, especially those offensive ones raised by an ignorant Hazel Leece.
Firstly, if we'd have believed some of the comments on the 'Holiday Truths' and 'Holidays Uncovered' websites about the Admirals, we would probably never have gone.....but we did go.
On the 19th August, full of apprehension about this supposed 'dump' of a 'hell-hole'! To be honest we went fearing the worst.
However, when we got there we were pleasantly surprised. Yes, the rooms are small and yes, the rooms are basic but the place is spotless, the rooms are cleaned daily and sufficiently big enough for a family of four for 2 weeks holiday.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is excellent.
We talked to many people that were on their third holiday at the Admirals and lots of others that said they'd come back again. I believe that speaks volumes!
If I have one regret about the holiday, it is probably not buying George (the entertainment/bar manager) a drink or getting to know him better. What a great guy! He absolutely worked his socks off and as for the comments of Hazel Leece.....yes, you're right, George did mess about with all the kids...THATS HIS JOB!!.....He's a bloody kids entertainer, for Christs sake!!!....and a bloody good one too!
He remembered all the kids names, including my daughter, Rachel and her friends, Victoria and Alexandra.
If George ever appeared tired, he damn well deserved to be!
I like to think that I am quite well travelled...Spain, Balearics, Cyprus etc. but I have NEVER seen the entertainment staff get up at 7.30am after a hard late nights work to say goodbye to all the kids and their families, as George did on our last day! Top notch George...you truly are the man!
Hazel Leece cannot even spell or punctuate her comments accurately on this site! It's amazing she was able to express her own unjustified narrow-minded opinion.
Well, that's about all. Just like to say 'hello' to a lovely family that we became firm friends with whilst out in Zante. (Nigel, Kerry, Victoria and Alexandra) Miss our trips to the beach and our nights at 'Popeyes' and 'Calypsos'! See you all soon!
Ray, Sara and Rachel.

Hannah T

I came to admiral back in july when the euro 2004 match was on had a fantastic time the staff are wicked they put so much effort into making your holiday a most memorable event. Helena W

Hi George, hubby, myself and our 2 little boys came to the admirals last year. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, and couldn not fault the hotel, bar staff, reception staff, rep ets etc. We enjoyed our time there so much that we are coming back on the 9th september. We all can't wait. I don't think that we met you there last year. Is it your first season at the admirals? Well all i can say is, there are some really good comments made about you on the message board, and we are certainly looking forward to meeting you in 2 weeks time, for some good old banter and entertainment. Say a big Yasoo to chef Nicos for us (if he is still there) and we look forward to his barbeques again this year. Take care. Helena.

Kelly B

We (Kelly and Mike) stayed at the Admirals for 2 weeks in July and Loved every second of it. The staff were fantastic, especially George (we have some great pickies if you in a lovely spotty frock!). Didn't see much of the reps, but had no need to, the hotel staff provided everything we needed and were much more knowleable about the island. We will definitley go back, and hopefully stay in touch with the fiends we made there. If you are going to Tsilivi make sure you pay Kostas, Tassos, Spiros, Nikos, and Anna a visit at the Two Brothers bar, its the best night out there.

Sam G

Try emailing them at this address i found that they responded very quickly indeed !

Ruislip C

Does the Tsilivi Admirals have a website/e-mail address?

Ruislip C

We all went to the Admirals in July and it was quite simply, the best holiday we've been on. The bar staff were fantastic people (perhaps some people need to realise that you go on holiday to ENJOY yourself and let yourself go a bit), not to mention the rest of the staff who were very corteous and made a very good effort to learn our language, rather than expecting us to speak Greek, which a lot of us do to people visiting our country. That was very grateful as i couldn't really say much more than kalimera. We are also enternally grateful to the bar staff (George in particular) for ensuring the safe return of our designated clown Paul at the early hours of the morning. Keep hold of the inflatable car with squeaky horn, we should definitely be back next year! Oh and the food was great for the price :) i'd reccommend it to anyone personally, but be prepared to get involved in the entertainment, as audience participation is inevitable (whether thats a good or bad thing i'll leave to you all!)

Richard S

Oh y'all stop being so sensitive y 'hear!

Her's an honest opinion on the Admirals

The location is top notch - you can be on the Bukka /Alexandra Beach in less than 3 minutes, and the Planos area is nicer all round than the main Tsilivi resort. The hotel isn't quiet, but thats a design feature which seems to lock in noise from around the swimming pools, and in high season there's a lot of kids. The good thing was the way the hotel tried hard to make sure outside entertainment shut down at midnight so you can get to sleep.

Top marks to the cleaners. I wouldn't want to start at at 04:00 but they do clean all the sunbeds daily, and mop (rather than just hose down) the pool surrounds. Room service was fine as well. There isn't air conditioning but fans are for hire, desirable for those red hot days but not necessary if theres a breeze.

Personally I thought George and Daniel (the entertainers) were always polite, pleasant and fragrant (and my missus can pick out B.O. or unwashed socks at 50 metres upwind!). Yes the entertainment is sometimes a bit cheesy, but no less popular for that. Might help if it started on time more often guys!!. If I could make a wish it would be for a child free area or a curfew for kids in the main bar. How about using the balcony on to the main road as an adults only bar??

Ann

well well well what can i say HELEN i cant believe anyone would say or think anything like that about the staff and hotel.
we were there all 11 of us from age 22-73years of age and it was the best holiday ever. the bar staff especially GEORGE was out of this world he had so much time for all ages from 0-99years old so did darren and daniel. the reception staff couldnt of done anything else to help any of us at all. the hours they all work for the money is unbelievable as i wont. i would definetly recommend this hotel to everyone. BEST STAFF,BEST HOTEL AND SO SO FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.

Netty M

i think george, darren, dannnnniiieeelllll and everyone at the admiral are bloody fantastic ok i might be biast cause they are my mates but they are lovely blokes and am trying to understand why people would think otherwise its not always easy smiling when your down but they do it every day!!!!!!!!!! yes its a brilliant opportunity working abroad but there disadvantages too so spare the slack! they have always a smile on thier little faces and will be sad when we all have to leave each others company cause if it wasnt for my irish and scottish mates and english mates of cause id of gone home a long time ago so before you make rude comments about the staff at the admiral get to know them first cause its people like you hazel that make our job difficult love but we dont care !!! happy days boys love and kisses your mate netty xxx

Lisa R

this is a very loud hotel. i love it there ive been there twice now and i loved it both times! all the staff r lovely and they all always have time 4 us kids!if any1 from the hotel is readin this:i cant wait 2 c u all again and i miss u all loads!luv u. daniel may wen i c*m bk i want u 2 wer ur pink trousers!i luv em!c u all sooooooooooooon(i hope!)

George A

In response to comments made by Hazel Leece who recently stayed at the Admiral in Zante. I am one of the Barmen at the Admiral. I find your comments extremely offensive and in bad taste. How dare you think you can make such a personal comment on me in such a public forum. We all work extremely long hours seven days a week with one day off a month. It is a family hotel therefore part of our job is to entertain everyone regardless of age. I would venture as far as to say that ninety eight per cent of comments have been good in both the Hotel comments book and also scores from JMC, i.e. questionaires from guests on leaving have also been extremely positive. Of course there is just no pleasing everyone, is there. I suggest that maybe these guests should consider Saga Tours in the future. P.S. I shower every day before going to work. Big hello to all the appreciative guests who have visited Zante and thanks for your supportive comments.

Hazel L

Well what can we say ? It was an experiance for the family my husband and i and my daughter and her friend stayed at the Admirals apartments. The service from reception was poor, nobody made us feel welcome. The bar staff was unfriendly and very inexperianced in serving customers with a smile they was always hung over from the night before messing around with bits of kids half their age. George who we believe to be the one in charge of the bar area, always looked like he just got out of bed and needed a bloody good wash not a picture of health if you know what we mean. Entertainment very cheeply done, not our idea of fun seeing these people cross dressing it wasn't even funny. We love having fun with the right sort of people, but this entertainment is tacky. If you like Blackpool you will love it here, in fact i never thought i would say this but Blackpool could prove better. But we did not let this place spoil our holiday my daughter and her friend enjoyed themselves and loved the surrounding area. You don't have to stay at the Admirals pool there are plenty of free pools and sunbeds to be found in the town.
Please note no air conditioning here just fans to hire.
We would like to come back to Zante one day but far away from the Admirals and all the tacky staff.

Channy R

Was at the admirals at the begining of october 2003. We are going back on 9th september this year. From some of your comments, it seems that they have a whole new group of staff this season. Is the chef ''Nicos'' still there???

Debi

We have stayed there last year and the year before that and loved it both times and considering booking again for next year. Can anyone help? i cant remember the bars name but if you walk out from the reception turn right and right again carrying on walking to wards the small beach there is a bar that shows films and really lovely chocolate pancakes, is it still there? My daughter wants to know is the childrens room is the mural painting still there? if it is shes the one with a snorkle mask on that was painted while we were there in 2001

Jayne B

Hi I am staying at the admirals Aug 26 for two weeks with my family and I was wondering if the rooms are air conditioned or if you have to hire fans, also do you know if you get a kettle. Thanks we are getting really excited not long to go now.

Stef H

if you like your peace and quiet dont ask for a room with a pool view!Rooms cleaned every day, cheap food at pool bar, freindly staff, get up early for a sunbed saw someone putting towels out at 3 am!excellent for families

Andy W

myself/girlfreind,and her 2 children visited the admirals on the 18/07/04 till 01/08/04 we found the hotel ok clean and in a good position the staff well that was a different matter apart from the kiddies club rep and a greek girl georgia were both very pleasent, the bar staff only had time for you if you were a female and seemed to think they were gods gift put it this way they were no tom cruise not buy a long shot,we also found you had to make an effort with talking to the other guests(no fault of the hotel i add )the hotel entertainment looked naff although its only what we see on the way out at a night,we did expect more as we were on the island a month previously at argassi which was a totally better time for all,the location was excellent shame about the staff though

Adele M

Maureen S

Just got back from the Admirals, rooms are small and basic, but clean, the staff at the hotel make it one of the best, especially George and Daniel, they ere good fun to be around and made our holiday great. JMC reps Dave and Kay Marie were excellent and looked after us all well. The water village is good fun for a day out. Fans can be hired for 2.50 euro per night, some rooms have air conditioning which is cahrged as well. Definaltely recommend this for the night and some good mossi repellent.
Have fun all, we did.

Gill C

We visited the Admirals in July 2002 and had the best time of our lives so we are coming back on8 July 2004 for two weeks. Does anyone know if Donna the childs rep is still there? if not who is the Childs rep can't wait to see everyone and hope we are booked into d block. Fans can be hired for about 15 euros a week.

Dave W

hey Ciaran i'm flying out on the 24th from luton at 22:55 so if you wanna go on that day and do the journey with me that would be great because its gonna be sooooo long and boring without anyone to chat too! give me an e-mail david_williams1984@yahoo.co.uk with a reply and we'll sort it from there!!
cheers, dave

Ciaran C

Charlene, I think I am working with you in the same hotel. I seem
to remember Dean mentioning your name. I told Dean I was
flying out on the 26th on Easyjet from Gatwick. what airport are
you flying from???
Ciaran

Ciaran C

sorry, can read but just a quickie!!! left a message on the other
boards about this, but where are you all flying from and what
date? working as a barman for Dean and can go anytime albeit
skint. don't fancy athens to zante coach/ferry on my todd if
anyone is traveling from London area.

Sticky M

sorry

Admin

Could everyone please use the section on the Tsilivi messageboard (use the link above) if you want to chat with others working or staying here this summer, and try to keep this section free for opinions about the hotel itself. Cheers

Sticky M

aaaghhhh! there is too many daves!!!!!!!!!!!!! i recomend bringing around £400 for the month. maybe a bit extra if you plan on renting a scooter. i am f**ked for money but i have put in for a loan and i find out tomorrow if i get it or not. which sam are you coming out with, scouse sam or spongebob squarepants sam?

p.s of course were going to have a p**s up when you get here. alcohol is fun.

Dave W

i'm so f*cking excited, i'm bar staff so your typical day seams right up my street! i'm coming out on the 24th so are we all meeting up for a big p*ss up and party before the season starts?????
I'll see you out there but in the mean time i've gotta work my ass off to get some beer money!!!!!!
Dave

p.s anyone traveling from luton on the 24th for the 22:55 easyjet flight get in touch because it's gonna be a long day of traveling!

Dave D

Cheers for that, can't wait! I'm going over with Sam as an entertainer, kinda wish i was doing bar work now! Cos you don't get paid till the begining of June (think thats right!) How much cash would you recomend taking out? Cheers for your help, Sam has told me some stories about you, looking forward to meeting you!

Julie E

absolutly fab staff aswell very clean tzilivi loads to do

Sticky M

hows it going dave. dean has mentioned you. picture the scenario. a six month p**s up with no hang over!that is what to expect. are you bar staff or entertainer? if you are bar staff like me a typical day goes like this. wake up around 12 and think to your self, what should i do, lie by the pool or go to the beach. if you have a bit of money i recomend the watersports at the beach, they are f**king great. you will probably start work around 6pm until about 2am. then the fun starts. mon-fri we all end up at deans bar getting pissed until around 5-6am and at the weekends, money permitting, we will go to laganas, which is like a mile long strip of clubs, all free!
unfortunatly, if your an entertainer (like pink ha ha)you will be working both day and night.
main thing to remember is keep on the right side of the hotel bosses, treat them with respect and they will make life easy enough for you.
looking forward to meeting you.

Dave D

Mickey
I'm off out to Zante to work for the season. May be based in Tsilivi/Argassi. Anything i should know b 4 hand? Cheers

P1nk

Ray & Julie

We had a great time staying at the Admirals, the entertainment was really good. Everyone was friendly and there was always something to do. Dean and Kate and their team from Arts Entertainment worked hard to make everybody happy. We are looking forward to returning to Zante and Tsilivi again this year. See you all soon!!!

Vicky W

I really dont know where this woman (below) has been. From the sounds of it, it wasn't the Tsilivi Admirals I stayed in!! The Apartments were clean and tidy, they are quite space-limited, but hey, this is Greece! Our appartment was right next to reception and we didnt have any noise complaints, the noise complaints below are proberly from the other tourists, in this case, that isn't the hotels fault. All the staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome. The bar staff were Irish lads, and made sure u had a fab holiday and the childrens reps were great with the children. The Chef, Nikos, was a true gent and looked after us!! The Rep was also lovely, nothing was too much trouble! Overall I realy enjoyed my stay here and i DONT understand why certain people are complaining!!

Sharon F

What a dump. Can't think of a more unpleasant way to spend my holidays. Rooms are tiny, noisy and uncomfortable, not to mention hot. Don't think that because it is called self-catering you can preopare meals in you 'apartment', anything more than a bowl of cereal and you can forget it. You have to marvel at how they fit a bathroom into such a small space, no good for the shy though because you certainly can't get dressed in there. A real endurance test. we lasted 5 days before finding alternative accommodation - don't bother complaining neither the reps nor JMC are interested once they've got your money. Only good thing to come out of it is that we won the 1st prize of a free holiday in a national competition to find the WORST holiday experience.

Dave W

i'm movin over to tsilivi at end of april to work for arts entertainment as a barman, should be wicked, see you all out there!
Dave :-)

Message for STEPH LAMB: Hiya!! Firstly its Vicky who was in Admirals with Linzi, Ive just read ur message on the last page!! Were not scousers!! Just to set the record straight!! And secondly, I cant remember you, sorry you will have to give me details of you etc.. we met so many people I cant think... reply soon xxx

Vicky

i cant believe all the bad comments on this page. i have just arrived home after two weeks at the admirals with my friend and my family and i have to say, we had a fab time. i dont know what the bloke below is going on about, chef was lovely and made us feel very welcome, although he doesnt like miserable gits so that might explain a few things. my brothers loved the childrens entertainment, helen is brill with the kids and deserves a medal looking after my two little terror brothers! dean and dave are a laugh and do their job well ('hi boys! its bunny!!' lol) all the reception staff are helpful and the rep, lisa is lovely, she really does make sure you enjoy ur holiday. for all of you who seen my bare bum at the battle of the sexes night last friday, hope u are all safe and well. hello to donna and family, chris, evan and family and anyone else who was there that same time as me and lyndsey (05/10/03 - 19/10/03).

the hotel itself, is set off the main road which leads into tsilivi but is ideal for a quiet location. the maids are in everyday with clean bedding and towels. the rooms are fully furnished and clean and the bathroom is all marble and glass, with a shower in a bath type thing with a shower curtain.

overall i loved it here and cant wait to come back in july. if anyone is reading these comments who thinks they were there when i was and wants to stay in contact, leave me a message!!

luv vicky and lyndsey x

Graeme M

the staff(with exception to the cleaners)were crabbit and ignorant.why do you all think dean and dave(the real life hobbit)were funny,a pair of horses a**es they were.that chef bloke is ignorant, the snack bar blokes are poseurs and will chat up your ten year old daughter if you leave her side for three seconds and that receptionist bird was a sour faced get.the cleaners are nice though. dont go to the admirals

Sharon F

Hellish, noisy, tiny rooms utter nightmare - don't go if you have any sense. You can get far superior holidays for less money and not come home feeling like you have been conned. I can't stress enough how horrid this place is.

Steph L

Malc E

Just back from a week at the admirals, great bar snacks, the town is great especially ozzy's bar and the italian restaurant opposite (la formia or something like that).
Didnt hear any of this so called noise apart from the thunderstorm on the wednesday, and the kids by the pool, but hey not a problem!!!!
Only moan be it a very small one, the ginger irish guy behind the bar was a good laugh, but get rid of the other 2 mincers there who were more concerned about beating 13 yr olds at drinking competitions at 2am instead of serving the adults in the bar!

Red L

I believe those "louts" that the delightful Mr Goat are referring to our three of my friends, who, incidentally, I was also staying next to.

They did not wake me up, and I believe for two full days they were not even in the rooms unti mid evening.

What is Mr Goat's problem?

I had a wonderful holiday and would gladly go again, apart from the JMC-led tour to Kefalonia!

Chantelle R

hiya admirals! is louise still there? wb

Clare & Rebecca

Very nice and clean place to stay at. Good food by the pool too. Good pool or close to the beach (if you go out the back way!) Didn't take part in the entertainment but it sounded good, watched Dean and Dave doing there hilarious dancing from our balcony one night (that was close enough), saw Dean dressed up as a woman one night - very good effort!! Far enough out of the main bit of the resort that you're not disturbed by any of the noise if thats what you want. Would recommend it!

Leanne C

really enjoyed it at the admirals met some really nice people from rotherham chad, scott, lee, declan and gavin hope to keep in touch with them. nice place good food hope to go back again the entertainment was really good for kids but a bit too much for adults. dean and dave were nice altini was even better shame i didn't get to say goodbye to him but perhaps next time. pool area was fantastic and i would definately reccomend it. i hope we get the chance to go again soon. luv to you all leannex

Toni P

Hello people,
Well, i have to begin by saying im really missing someone who stayed at the admirals who might add may have been there for a few months before we all arrived on the 11th aug until 26th. He was there for the entire two weeks of our duration and we all deeply miss him...NOT!!! Yes if u were male and visited the male outdoor toilet besides the small pool u would see "Bob" as i would call him, squatted helplessley against the loo wall...a squashed Daddy long legs. It wasnt once cleaned up even after id put a note up on the wall, i mean come on cleaners pull ya blooommmin fingers out and at least give the poor little blighter some dignity afetr a cruel death, but jokin apart i did think that was dirty!

I was taking a small kip on the first Wednesday having enjoyed a beautiful day lapping up the sun, when i gently dropped off. Dozing i began to dream about wonderful things when i heard the words..."ATTENTION ATTENTION DONT MOVE!!! POO IN THE POOL, I REPEAT POO IN THE POOL CAN EVERYONE PLEASE GET OUT OF THE WATER" Well it was like a scene from JAWS, there was Dave doindg his CHIEF BRODIE , routine, kids screaming i tell ya, JAWS 5 in the making. 2 Days on the b#####d loo after that and when that blooommmin earthquake went on i was on the old toilet poo di pooin for england and thought it was me who had sparked the tremor!!!

Last but by no means least, remember the girl selling the roses, the man with the balloons? WILL YOUNG doing his Greek Dancing??? How about first left out of hotel every night and SINBAD out of BROOKSIDE to greet u, hey what a character!!! Take care people, hope u r all okay and remember, next time u hear this BLEEP just think of all the fun u could be having on WAITING FOR YA BLOOMIN SUITCASES AT ZANTE AIRPORT...ooohhh errrrr!

Email us at wroetonickat@aol.com

Cheers, Nick;-)

did ne1 around the ages of 13-18 go 2 tha admirals from the 13th of july til the 27th?

Larry P

We have just arrived back from stalag Admirals what a dissapiontment, the rooms are very small and not very clean the staff are very unhelpful and the entertainment rubbish. The entertainment is provided by Arts Entertainment and must lose there contract NOW we have complained to JMC and the hotel owners, the bar staff are such a waste of time unless you are female aged between 16-18.As for Dean the entertainment manager he loves himself to much to worry about what the guests want, and drinks at the Admirals are more expensive than at home. The so called disco consists of four disco songs and then DEAN will have to sing a very poor version of NEW YORK NEW YORK and then i`m afraid thats it. We were rather unfortunate to have booked two weeks so we had this for forteen nights all the people we spoke to just wanted to go home. Don`t expect any sleep either because the kids are that bored they run riot around the hotel grounds until between 2am and 4am. For self catering accomidation the apartments are poorly equipted the fridge gives off so much heat and you need to ask for a kettle and fan as soon as you arrive because there is not enough to go round a fan will cost you 35 euro for two weeks or 2.5 euros a night unless you manage to get a room in F block they have air conditioning at 6 euros a night. The childrens daytime entertainer Carla works very hard but the club is underground in a tiny room no bigger than a box bedroom and is only suitable for 5 to 10 year olds the swimming pools are overcrowded and have a dangerous lip around them with a thin film of water flowing over the step there where many cut feet, stubbed toes and people slipping and hurting themselves. Outside the hotel the beach nearest the hotel is not bad but stoney the main beach is very good and very safe. Manos Grill,Popeyes and Drossia restaraunts are very good although Tsilivi si very comercial and not very Greek, We were ripped off in Stamnes and also when we ordered cigarettes to bring home we had to pay an extra 20 euros.Eutopia bar was great. Outside the hotel at night you will find horse and carts that will take you into town but you must barter or they will charge you top price.watchout for the man we all named Benny Hill as soon as you leave the hotel and turn left you will meet him he will try to get you in his restaraunt and offer 15% off the bill he is the dearest in tsilivi.Be prepared to walk the main town and cash machines are about two miles and the chemist about two and half. Zante airport be prepared buy drinks at your UK airport they have only one luggage belt and no air conditioning and your journey home is worse we waited two hours in the burning sun just to get into the terminal and when you go throught passport control find a space and stay in it untill your flight is called. Zante we might be back but Tsivili and moreso the Admirals we will NEVER BE BACK.

Rob H

I stayed at the admirals with my 3 sons sam.wayne and jake harvey from the 14/8/03 till 28/8/03.Were do i start, what a brilliant holiday, first of all every person who was on the holiday were all fantastic people and it was a great pleasure to meet all of you.
I must mention John and Tina Harrison,Wayne,Jackie, luke and oliver browning, and also shaun finley and kids what fantastic people these were.
Now for the entertainment staff,Dean, i think this lad is superb a great entertainer for both children and adults, entertaing is a very hard buiseness to start with and dean can really get the crowd goin with his routine,i would love to see more adults getting involved with the children's games, even though i cracked a rib trying to win a cocktail in the batman game,so well done to dean and keep it up mate.
Kristoss,Nadia, reception 2 very friendly and helpfull people.
Now for the man who runs the bar the dreaded (DAVE'S BAR)this man is a pure genius, the jewel in the crown,i blame this man for me keeping guests awake at 5 every morning when i was going to bed, also 4 me and my son wayne and shaun finley 4 skinny dipping at 4.30am,and now 4 the dreaded cocktails and shots,SHOTS do we remember the one you made for us dave when even you didn't no what one of the shots was you put in it,god my head the next morning, well for about ten of the mornings, and do we all remember the last nite when i was staying of the drink (ha ha ha) all of u and especially dave lining the drinks up 4 me and teasing me,well i did crack at 12.30am and was still there at 5.30 am,i think the world of this lad,and he does a fantastic job,so good luck for the future dave and see u when u come to middlesbrough.
Do we all remember the nite of the battle of the sexes me in my lovely gold sparkling dress,m m m m m m m m so sexy even though i say my self, thanks to john and shaun for takin part we all made that a nite to remember.
The island is a lovely place, and i would adsvise any 1 going there to hire a car for 3 days as there is some lovely sites to see.
So i would just like to thank every 1 who helped make this a fantastic unforgettable holiday for me.
If you would like to contact me please do so at vonswarie@aol.com
i think people will remember the baldy boro man, thanks to all x x x x

Debbie B

The apartments were really small and hot.The maids did a fantastic job keeping them clean they worked really hard,as for the rest of the hotel staff they were very ignorant particularly the girl on reception. We visited this web site frequently and read all the comments about Dean the "ENTERTAINER".We were very disappointed!
This man thought he was Gods gift and had no interest in the little kids at all.He was just happy with his little band of female teenage followers.I have a teenage son and would not have been happy for him to hang around like the other kids did. Some parents just let their kids do what ever they wanted. On a more positive note though, you must visit Kaliva Pub, as this was very family friendly and the staff were excellent. The bar manager is like Tom Cruise in COCKTAIL.Popeyes restaurant is brilliant, great for families.
Tsilivi is a lovely place and we had a fantastic holiday. We would definetly go back, just not to the Admirals.

Paul W

We need to know if there are any irons at the admirals? Is there a charge to rent these from the admirals? Or is it worth taking a small portable travel iron?

Gemma N

Hey evry at the admirals. My holiday ther woz wicked, the best time ever. The entertainments gud, the bar staff r v.friendly so r the receptionists n the kids entertainers r also brill. The hotel is v.clean n it woz a realy nice place 2 stay. I'd like 2 thamk Dean, Cave n Carla 4 a wicked holiday n i will c ya soon.

At the Admirals - you get what you pay for ! , the rooms are small & very hot (hire yourself a fan on the 1st day). The pool area is overcrowded & not so nice , but don't worry a 15 minute walk & you get to the fantastic beaches of Tsivili. The apartments were very clean although we still managed to get the BUG !!! ( only a 24hr job ). Would definatly go back to Tsilivi, but would probably pay a little extra & get a better hotel.

Paul W

Me And My Family arrive in Tsilivi on the 1st of September 2003. There will be my girlfriend Vicky aged 20, myself aged 24 and my 3 year old daughter. If any one else will be there at this time and think we could meet up then please email me and we can have a chat before we go. Look forward to hearing from you. Paul

Sophie P

Sharon F

The 'studios' at the Amirals are tiny by anyone's standards. They are VERY hot, there is no air conditioning and not enough fans (cost 2.50 euros per day) to go round. The fidge is in the same area as the beds and throws out a lot of heat, not to mention body heat especially if there are 4 people in there. The surroundings are poor. There is no garden just concrete around the pools. The studios are built around the pools and there is no escape from the noise by day or night. The management does nothing to stop drunk people messing around in the pools at all hours of the night. Kids were playing with footballs at 1am, while their parents were, presumably, in the bar. We stayed for 5 sleepless nights and then found alternative accommodation at our on expense. Also, as a word of warning, there is a stomach bug going round the resort. It has been going on since the beginning of the season and few escape. My advice is if you are booked into the Admirals - cancel - you'll be more comfortable in a caravan on the British coast. The island itself is beautiful and the beach is fine, althouth the main beach is better than the one near Admirals. The resort is busy and has lost all its 'greekness'. There are other resorts on the island that are better and there can't be any worse accommodation (I hope).

Laura P

Does anyone have a contact address or phone number for Hayden Townsend from Manchester? Who stayed at the Admirals Aparthotel Tsilivi between the 13th to the 28th of July!

If so email me at thegeordies2003@yahoo.co.uk.

Laura P

Came back from zante on monday morning (28th July 2003) and we have booked up to go back again next year! Stayed at the Admirals Aparthotel and what can i say it is one of the best places we have ever stayed at!

The entertainment during the day and night was BRILL! and there was always something for you to take part in!

We will see you all next year!

Rebecca B

we have just returned from the hotel and we thought that the hotel was SUPERB!!!the staff and the entertainment was excellent, even the receptionist (christos) was funny when he was out of his shell.i would like to give the hotel thumbs up as it was a fantastic holiday because the hotel and it's staff made it very enjoyable.

lots of thanks for a great holiday,

We are a happy fun loving couple..into karaoke...but not as a lifestyle!..we appreciate nightlife..but want a bit of peace with it!...we`ll hire a car after a few days so access to the more `quiet` spots is no probs!....like we say...ANY thoughts would ba appreciated...especially as you`ve JUST come back!...
thanks in anticipation....
ps. if you do reply....make it soon as we`re about to book...disaster if we conflict after booking!!!!

Are there any other sites on the admiral hotel?

Davies D

Just returned from 2 weeks at Admirals. What a disappointment. The brochure states 'ultra modern'. well if running water and electricity are ultra modern then it was!! Our room was dark and dirty - not at all what I expected. I did not think the staff were at all friendly and the hygiene of them had to be seen to be believed. Cleaner spitting in the pool area!! I must have stayed at a different Admorals to everybody else cos I thought it was awful!! If you are going for a quiet break - think again. Its full of screaming kids who don'tr stop from 9am till 6pm

Chantelle R

i love igor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he was gr8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Julian H

Now i've really had time to sober up from our hols at the admirals i thought i'd tell all what a great hotel and resort this is !!
Hotel is clean, rooms are clean and adequate sizes, food is good and quite cheap compared to some resort places.Pool's excellent, 2.5 euro's a bottle average price, Entertainment excellent at night !!
All staff (local) and english especially dean and igor are excellent - Jim how's ya Tobasco end ??? Beaches excellent, Weather was HOT !!!

The apartments were really clean. the weather was good between 36 - 45 while we were there and 20 ish at nite. plenty of things to do trips round the island etc. the water sports on the beach are a must do. but the entertainment............it was excellent. plenty of day activities between the three places to keep u amused durin the day. between planos bay and planos apart. and the admirals u will never be stuck. kate, micky, carla, jim, dave, louise and egor all kept us entertained every nite and all r really nice people. and last but not least dean who was the main entertainer at the admirals, between dresses and togas and especially the battle of the sexes nite u will not be disapointed.make sure u tell every1 at the admirals i said hello!!! hope u have as a good a week as i had. thanks to all the guys at the admirals for a brilliant week, and i will be back!!!!

Got back in UK yesterday after spending 2 weeks in the Admirals.
Apartment was very good and clean, the pool was very good and the
service was excellent.
Dean was the main man running the show along with Jim, louise and Kate and we had many a blurred night in the bar having the crack especially " battle of the sexes ". Dean is very good as a woman but jim's thongs pips him.
Really enjoyed Hol overall but even as a family man Tsilivi didn't really cater and occupy Children at night ( family bars )but would return !!!
Good luck Dean you're a star !!

My wife I and our 2 children got back from Tsilivi on Sunday 8th June 2003 after 2 wks and we had a fantastic time. We stayed at the Admirals Hotel/Apts which was very clean, the staffs are really friendly and the rooms are cleaned every day with clean linen, there are 2 pools. We were just a few minutes from the beach which is great and the sea is the bluest I’ve ever seen.
I would recommend Tsilivi to all ages and would definitely go back again. The local people are very friendly and the resort is very laid back and relaxed. There are plenty of good tavernas/bars/restaurants but the best restaurant is the old vineyard which is a little walk around the beach and by far the best and most authentic Greek food anywhere in Tsilivi. The service was friendly and the location romantic.

Only bad thing to report was the airport, you must be prepared for long waits for both claiming your luggage & checking in for the return, but you soon forgot this when you were laying on the beach soaking up the sun.

Toni P

Hello...staying in admirals from aug 9th until aug 24th and wanna know if there is sky sports in the hotel in order i can cheer on the mighty LEEDS UTD make mince meat out of Judas Bowyer, Woody the Thug Monster on the weekend aug the 16th!!! Clare W

just returned from two weeks at the admirals and have to say had an excellent time. The apartments are small but they are cleaned daily and the linen and towels changed every two days, what more could you ask for! There are lots of good places to eat, try Stamnes, the Vine yard and Art of taste right next to the admirals the food is excellent there, avoid the Red lion, they have a really good kids play area but the food is terrible and expensive! The beach is nothing special but if you walk through the Carvel hotel there is a little gate the other side of their swimming pool, go down the stairs and turn left, walk across the pebbles for 5 minutes and you will find a perfect sandy beach with clear water that is very shallow, perfect for young kids! Overall tsilivi and the Admirals was excellent would go back again when ive got over the airport experience! and i have to say Dean you walk far to well in those high healed shoes!

Lee D

Arrived back Sunday 15/06/03. Holiday rep Jll was excellent sorting out all our minor problems except the noise in an evening. Be warned the bar does not close till 07.30am!!!. hence small children running round till early hours and people who think it amusing to shout and sing from balconies.
My teenagers had excellent time and rolled home 04.30am from the nightclub!!a perfectly safe enviroment for them to be in.
The apartments were 100% clean and reception staff were pleased to help where needed.
Would not go again, beware of charges for changing Euro cheques. would advise take Euros or sterling and pay 7.50 euros per week for the safe much cheaper than the 2% or even as much as 3% charges by the hotel and supermarkets.

Nicola

Does anybody know how to get to the Dinos Studios in Tsilivi from the Admirals?

Rupert T

The apartments are clean and the 2 pools are very good the beech is very short walk and well worth it you can walk out for ages and the sea is still only to your knees very kid friendly I would recommend Stamnes Taverna the food is excellent the waiters very friendly and it is just round the corner from the apartments. One to avoid is Squero,s in Zante town we were served raw chicken nuggets to one of the children in our party we never did get an apology!!!!. The entertainment at the apartment was good Dean is a star!!!. We would definatly go again just one drawback is the airport say no more

Cassie T

can anyone tell me website for dean/entertainment team please

Cassie T

Hi all, Just got back from a brilliant holiday in Tsilivi. We stayed in the Admirals Apts. There was a daily kids club which me and my brother went to once as there wast many kids our age (13 + 9) I Enjoyed our holiday and would recommend it to any one with kids between 6 and 12 as most of the kids are this age. The maids were good and cleaned well, they speak quite good english and all the greeks are very polite. They have Horse and carriage rides which are 10 euros and you can get them at night times. Dean was a good entertainer and i enjoyed the cross dressed nights. ( Dean walks very in high heels hehe) The entertainment is good but there could be a bit more of an evening. The beaches are really warm and it is like stepping into a bath, Packed like sardines though so i would say to go between 9.30 and 10.30 to get good seats. The water is really safe for young kids as you can walk out for ages and it comes up to your ankles. If you wanted a quiet night in, you wont get one as there is always music on at night. The swimming pools are great, not to big and not to small. There are two pools, the main one which is bigger and deeper and one with an added baby pool in. The food is good their and it is also quite cheap. For those of you with kids i must say that there will be a Mc Donalds in the town and it is the same as here in england. The airport is tiny and a long wait when you are on your way back. You have to stand outside in the burning hot heat for 2 or 3 hours, then wait in another cue for as long as they take. apart from the airport everyone enjoyed it. If you would like to know anything about the Admirals Apts then please e-mail me on Cazzi1989@aol.com and i will be happy to tell you. Hope you enjoy or enjoyed your stay in Tsilivi.

Sue G

very clean!the cleaners seem to be there all the time, but if you want peace + quiet you won't find it here, noise all day from pool and they seem to think you also need music to sunbathe to. entertainment at night was noisy because parents seem to think its o.k. to let kids/teenagers run round the pool + outside bar. no air conditioning, but fans on hire, reception girls were lovely, rep, alister, waste of time, spoke to him twice and was blanked! good breakfast at the snackbar, 4 euros, excellent value.

Julie L

We're staying here in July and were also wondering about air conditioning - I've heard they have it in some rooms - anyone know if that's true.?

Alan F

Can anybody tell me if the admirals has air conditioning? If so how much does it cost?, If not are fans available for hire?. thanks.

Bruce S

Hope your arrival at airport is the only plane landing, otherwise be prepared for a long wait at the single unreliable baggage carousel. No change from last visit 7 years ago.
The apartments are excellent and serviced daily when we visited. First for us in Greece – A shower curtain!!
Did not use the entertainment facilities while we stayed, though everyone seemed very pleased with what on offer. Only black mark seemed to be against the barbecue party – though as we visited beginning May, so the problems may be solved by now.
The complex a 15min walk from the centre of Tsilivi, though plenty of tavernas and very good too, within close proximity of the apartments. No chance of going hungry there.
Well recommended for a holiday break, and would definitely return.

Jules C

first think you will notice when u arrive in Zante is the airport, its teribble. Make sure you have food and drink when you leave has it only has 1 check in desk and luggage reclaim. The admirals is actually in Planos and Tsilvi is a 15 minute walk to the centre. A taxi is 5 euros each way. The admirals are the cleanist place i have stayed in, and the rooms are cleaned daily. Pool is clean and a reasonable size. Entertainment is ok to good (some days) with dean and kate putting on the entertainment, watch out for dean's ricky martin impression (quality!!!) Both kids and adult games in the evening to keep everyone amused, does get repetitive if u r here two weeks but neverthless i enjoyed it. Watch out for battle of the sexes game. Ask dean what happened to Jules!!!! Food is good if u eat out with plenty of tavernas and bars. Stamens and olive tree r excellent. All in all a good holiday. Weather was superd. thanks guys

Debbie B

WE ARE STAYING AT THE ADMIRALS IN AUGUST
BETWEEN 7TH TO 21ST WITH 2 BOYS AGED 9 AND 12
CAN ANYONE TELL US IF THERE IS A GOOD SIZE POOL
AND IS THERE PLENTY TO DO FOR KIDS

Andrew B

just been may 2003, excelent weather 38 degrees most days. places to visit, perkes wet and wild pool, in laganes a good pool with slides for the kids.
Roscoes bar just across from admirals, a good pub , say hello to Takis and Fotis say andy from portsmouth says hello. The chinese at the bottom of the hill the best eating in town say hello to Karen the owner.the only bad bit was our rep Alister, still owes us money and was realy in the wrong job.try club 18-30 it would be more his style.

Joanne S

HELLO ALL YOU HOLIDAY PEOPLE.JUST GOT BACK FROM A NIGHTMARE HOLIDAY IN TSILIVI.WE STAYER AT THE ADMIRALS.WHICH WAS IN A REALLY QUIET AREA,NOTHING TO DO FOR THE KIDS.THE REP WE HAD ALISTER WAS A WASTE OF TIME HE WAS MORE INTERESTED IN EYEING UP THE TALENT THAN HELPING GUESTS OUT?DONT BOTHER WITH THE BBQ AS WE ALL HAD RAW MEAT.THE ENTERTAINMENT WAS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME.I THINK DEAN ONLY HAS1 CD WHICH HE PLAYED NON STOP FOR 2 WEEKS!THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THE HOLIDAY WAS THAT WE HAD 14 DAYS OF SUNSHINE,I FOUND RED VODKA WHICH IS SOO NICE.AND SAM THE ENTERTAINER FROM PLANOS BAY APARTMENT WAS JUST BRILLIANT.SHE REALLY TRIED TO MAKE OUR HOLIDAY SOMETHINGS TO REMEMBER.GIVE THIS GIRL A PAY RISE SHE IS WORTH HER WEIGHT IN GOLD.SO TO ROUND IT UP WE WILL NEVER BE GOING TO TSILIVI AGAIN.

Julie L

We are going 24th July with my 15 yr old daughter - anyone else going then with kids similar age?

Emma S

We have just come back from 2 weeks at Zante and the weather was fantastic. The hotel was lovely and the staff were more than helpful. I have never been to a hotel that is cleaned as much as this one. The entertainment they put on is really good the only problem is that after two weeks you tend find that the same music and games are played. If you are staying at this hotel and have a chance to go to the BBQ snap it up it is fantastic value for money: Tip... Sit outside before the BBQ starts you will get served first otherwise you will end up waiting for an hour or so inside. Hope you all have a good hol. WARNING when returning ensure that you pack food, drink and toys for any children for the airport. We were delayed for over 9 hours and the snack shop at the airport is very expensive.

Arrived back yesterday (11th May 2003)after my 40th birthday holiday. We had a week of sun and fun temperatures between 26degC and 32deg C. We stayed at the Planos Aparthotel, rooms basic (typical self catering standard)except we got 4 single beds instead of the usual 2 beds/bed setee and fold out bed, our room was cleaned daily. We found little entertainment in the Planos, but just across the street (20 metres)is the Admiral there you are sure to be entertained.

The entetainment/bar staff Dean, Louise, Igor, Mickey and Jamie? are full of life and try to get everyone in the holiday mood.

Dean (22)the Entertainments Manager is one of the best holiday entertainers going - his enthusiasm is endless and the banter between the staff is very entertaining.
Ganes, quizzes, bingo, karaoke, disco and much much more.
You have to see (join in) his Ricky Martin ("She Bangs" Routine)

Cost of beer (Mythos €2.50 per 500ml) is the same in all the hotels, you can buy the same product for 80 cents in the supermarket.

Reps will try to push tours at you on the first day, save up to €10 per person by going to see Ken in Tsilivi Travel (office just at the end of the road), same trips on offer. Contact Frances at Tsilivi Travel (see website)prior to holiday and you may get even more discount (5% in my case).

Main restaurants are about a 20min walk or €5 taxi ride away, we walked both ways, plenty of shops & bars en-route. We found Family Restaurant to be the best for the kids - waiters very good with kids. Couples would probably prefer Manos Grill (much closer to Planos). Choice of eating oplaces is endless.

If you need anymore info e-mail me

Estelle R

well, there's some miserable people on this site, eh? how you could not enjoy this place is beyond me..eyeryone's friendly, and I hope the entertainment team get a pay rise for this, they certainly deserve it. cheers for a fantastic holiday guys, take care and I hope to see you soon xx

Paul E

The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful, Dean the manager of the entertainment group was friendly and put on a wide selection of things to do.
Our room had a Sceanic view and the swimming pools were clean and safe to use.
If there was any thing i would change, the only thing would be to supply a second key to the room if there are two couples sharing.
as a couple we rate it 10/10

If anyone if staying at the Admirals hotel in Zante between 3October and 16 October then please email me as we would love to meet up sometime.

Hello good people.
Myself, girlfriend and 3year old daughter are heading off to Tsilivi, on 3rd October 2003 and have become slightly concerned about the weather at this time of year?

If anyone has been there around this time of the year can you please email me at zante@ntlworld.com and let us know how your holiday was?

Much appreciated.

Joanne

we stayed in the planos, basically the rooms are the same in both appartments .if you are wanting it quite the best place is the planos apparthotel not the planos bay.entertainment for small kids is in the planos bay but dont worry all the hotels are next door to each other we went in september too quiet alot of entertainment was done with and the resort was quiet

Adam T

Hi, I wonder if anyone is able to recommend which apartments are better between Planos aparthotel and Admirals. The party is myself, my wife, my baby son and my dad. Basically the better place for us is the one with the biggest room and more importantly the bigger balcony. If anyone has a recommendation please e-mail me at tallack9@aol.com.

Sharon T

To Sam Skoyles

we are going on 1/6/3 and cassie is 13. Do u want 2 send e@ail address and perhaps she can chat with your son to see if they would make company 4 each other

Vicky D

Very nice - lots to do -but it is all 15 minute walk away

Nikki P

This will be our third year at the admirals,it has got better each time.Dean,Jason and Igor gave us great entertainment during the day and also at night. The jmc reps were always helpful,as were the hotel staff. If taking trips shop around you can find them cheaper. We hired a car last year it was great to see more of the island.Only 12wks to go, marking the wks off on the calender till the 3rd of july.

Toni P

Stephen S

just returned from admirals did not really have anything to do with the reps or the entertainment staff until i found out that i was going to be kicked out of my room at 12.00am when i did not fly till the next day at 3.30am unless we kept our room on at the price of e35 the tour company word it so that u r paying for a night u spend at home otherwise had a great time utopia pub fantastic

Daniel L

Had a very enjoyable time at te Admirals. Me and my girlfriend thought the hotel was very clean and well looked after. Had some good laughs espically Jason wearing a dress on cross dressers night, with know one else done up.

Martine B

does anyone know if dean and jason are there next year

Martine B

october 2002 we have just returned from two weeks at the admirals and have to say we enjoyed it a lot. the rooms are nice we had 2 adults 2 children and the cleaning staff were exellent. the entertainment what can i say??? dean jason and egor simply put you are the best. you made it a good holiday hope you will be there again as we would come back.

Annette J

Hotel was really clean in it's appearance. However, whilst our linen was changed nearly every day, the sheets and towels were quite often stained. Location of the hotel was excellent at the quiet end of town, but plenty of bars and restaurants within a short distance. Loads more restuarants and bars further toward the centre of Tsilivi which were mainly excellent as well. Hotel entertainment during the day was the same every day and very unimaginative, Dean was very annoying and very pushy when he tried to 'sell' his entertainment evenings. Jason was fun however and the guy in the snack bar who always had a smile on his face and was a real laugh. if you have a family then the hotel entertainment would suit, however if you don't get out of there into Town and enjoy yourself. Rooms small but well laid out, thought they were fine until our roof leaked in 10 places, staff arranged a new room for us which was good. Felt sorry for the people put in our old room a few days later, no repairs having been carried out! Hope it didn't rain! All in all hotel was very good.

Dianne M

Family of 3 going Self Catering to Admirals Aparthotel next May 2003, what can I expect in way of accomodation & resort?

Sue A

Just arrived back from the Admirals, and have to say the yes the rooms were very small, but I have never seen such a clean place. There were a small band of cleaners every morning cleaning everything, we had our linen and towels changed everyday ! The resort is very quiet, but relaxing and the entertainment staff kept us entertained, especially Dean ! who just loved his dresses, he is such a natural. i have to say if it weren't for the entertainment staff it would have been very boring. A tip don't pay for the Saturday Night Fever Trip organised by JMC, the Admiral staff do there own FREE, at the neighbouring Planos Hotel, which is great.

Joanne U

Regarding the last comment the peroxide was put in for charity as I was there on holiday at the time,( thats something that nice people do! )and I found Dean and Jason especially Jason the highlight of our holiday. It wouldnt of been the same without him. I thought their sense of humour was great they made a very funny and entertaining team, they kept us laughing. As for you Andy Winter your girlfriend must be very proud of such an eloquent man, maybe this makes up for your lack of humour. The word Boring springs to mind!

Andy W

As package holidays go, this hotel was pretty good. My Mate and I wnet there fro some well needed R&R before my girlfriend and her mates turned up. The room was spacious and airy and our balcony was overlooking the street and opposite hotel (there pool was better). Other residents there seemed alright not much in the way of interaction there. Having said that we were never there! My only complaint would be the entertainers namely the one with the Mowhawk, the blonde peroxide one... at what point did it enter your mind that it was a good thing to do? If your thinking that people will look at you and think "Oh what a funny guy he looks a barrel of laughs!" then sorry you have to be kidding they think one word and that is "T**T!" Sorry mate your trying way too hard it's not just my thought but that of my mate, my girlfiend and all her friends as well. Other than that couldn't really complain, great place to use as a base. To all those going have a great time.

Bob M

yes i agree the reps were always there!!! and are absoulutly fantastic !!! hello to sarah oscar and dave! definatley recomend the JMC reps cabaret show, saturday nite fever, it was great!!! zante, and the tsilivi admirals especially, were fantastic!!! if you get the opportunity to go there i definatley recomend it.

S M

jmc reps work in the admirals from 9 in thr morning til 8 at night actually!!!!!

Gillian D

Who ever design the complex needs shooting. If don't mind living on top of one and other you will be OK! Far to many appartments built close together around a pool far to small for the amount of appartments. The studios are tiny never fit four in, have to take it in turns to walk up and down pass the beds. Forget sitting on your terrace unless you don't mind people a few feet away on their sunbeds. And the shower curtain does stick to you when you showering. Never sat around the pool in the two weeks there. We used another hotel which was on the beach. Tsilivi is nice lots of nice places to eat, nice enough beachs and cheap. And our rooms were cleaned on a regular basis. Have to say one of the worst designed appartments I have stayed in.

Charlotte F

tiny apartments and we were shoved up three flights of slippery stairs even though one of us was 6mths pregnant and we had a 2yr old! Entertainment was gr8... wish we got more involved. met the entertainer in a dress! He should have the full op.. he was a natural! the chef was the strangest man I met, who seemed to speak English when he fancied.. and cook when he fancied! all in all the place is nothing without its entertainment... cheers!

Tracey

the admirals wasnt as good as we was first told the rooms there are very small and stuffy no airconditioning we didnt get clean linen every day like we were told there is no nightlife in tsilivi at all nothing to do nowhere to go there isnt enough sunbeds for the amount of people in the hotel the pool is very small we didnt spend much time in the hotel and i never saw a jmc rep once after being dropped off i found zante a very boring place and wouldnt go back if someone payed me too it was by far the worst holiday i have ever had it was a dirty smelly place and toilets there were discusting the airport is a joke it is just like going into a tin shed we had to wait 2and a half hours just to check in i wouldnt recomend zante to anyone looking for a good fun holiday we hated it and couldnt wait to come back home

Julian C

just enquiring whether there is plenty to do for kids ages 8 & 5 and what the evening entertainment was. thanks

Adam C

hi,i visited on the 12 to the 26 of august, made loads of friends there, had a great time, dean jason and egor really livened the nights up,of course that is every night.

Molly

Alan, sorry to say it but the only air conditioning at the Admirals comes in the shape of fans for hire! But hey, it is the ONLY disappointment we had in 2 weeks! Dean and Jason... well what can i say... You are both completely mad!! The first time we met you both were wearing dresses and the second time you both had your hair dyed peroxide blond!! And my last impression of you two... well, Jason... Dancing is not your forte, but you have talent beyond all expectations in other areas and Dean... you can really move it honey!!! Love to all at the admirals xxx We had an absolutely wicked time. thanx

Albert S

One of the best hotels I have been to

Kevin D

Alan F

have they got air con at the admirals yet?also what time is the kids club run and do they need any special clothing for fancy dress ect?thanks alan

Ingrid S

nice clean room, but very small for 4 people - thank god we were only two. also the noise at night meant that you couldn't sleep until about 3 in the morning (unless you had a few glasses of the local wine). not keen on the hotel layout as everyone could see into your room opposite. deffinately not suitable for people who want the typical greek atmosphere!

Gillian D

Are the Tsilvi studios that small, going at the end of August beginning of september. Will we be cramped in a studio 2 adults and a toddler. Are the pools small as some report have said. What is the local beach like? How noisy is the complex? Can anyone recommend good fish restaurants. Any advice or infro would be h

Katherine C

he told me to start with that he was 18 cos i am 18 but i think he was 17 cos he showed us he had no stuble!i reckon half the girls in zante could get him done for sexual harrassment! he pulled my top down, looked up my skirt, put his hand up my skirt kept trying to kiss me,was always touching my bum, pressed himself up against me in the pool ect......... and he decided i must be a lesbian cos i didnt fancy him and he reckoned all girls fancy him! not very smooth was he!

Lilmissastar@aol.com

yes, katherine, he is the biggest p**ve. he used 2 watch us when we were on the balcony. one evening he was trying 2 take photos of us, so he stacked up some sun beds and stood on them so he could look into our balcony. oh well we did speak 2 him in the end. he didn't seem 2 bad, just a bit of sleaze, and he told us he was 17, after we had told him we were 16, as if, looks so much older. amy & yana

Katherine C

just got back from admirals hotel was gr8! best holiday ever made loadsa friends, including nick the guy amy and yana mentioned, only we knew him as tree stump, question for amy and yana:isnt nick the biggest p**vert you ever met! the chef at the admirals was a bit rude as my little brother was left waiting 2 hours for food which the chef decided he couldnt be bothered to cook then decided to pretend to not be able to speak any english. the rooms were small and stuffy but nice and clean. most staff were generally polite apart from dean who was a bit rude and showed no interest in his job, none of the young kids seemed to like him. nathan the rep was gr8!!!!!!!!!!! sarah and oscar were also good fun. went on two trips, to see turtles and to see shipwreck, both were good and the shingle beaches are better than sand cos you dont get sand everywhere,

Ben S

Excellent - what a great holiday!! Had a wail of a time all the staff were brilliant & friendly. Weather was top. I can't reccomend this place highly enough!!! Ben & Lisa.

Debi T

We loved our holiday in Tsilivi, its was the second time on the island and in a week we will be returning to the same admirals aparthotel, the rooms were really clean, the people were great, very friendly and off course very cheap to eat out. beach is only round the corner great for snorkling and safe for kids If you do want more night life you can walk to the main part of tsilivi for that. we hope when we get there that the mural painting that was in the kids club is still there, my daughter is one of the kids who painted that and herself is on the wall, snorkling while pointing at a star fish.

Lilmissastar@aol.com

Just like 2 say Hi to Nikoli (mopatop) who worked at the planos bay, apartments and admiral. why didn't you come and say good bye like you said you would. Amy and Yana july 2002 planos apartments, room 202

Lilmissastar@aol.com

We've just returned from the planos apartments, over the road from the the admirals. But chose 2 use the bar and entertainment at the admirals. Dean the entertainer is v. good, a great dancer.

Fae E

We've just got back from 2 wonderful weeks here. One of the best holidays we have ever had thanks to everyone that works at the Admirals. Linen and apartments were cleaned every day. Kirsty did a wonderful job at running the kids club. All the staff were very friendly apart from the grumpy night porter. JMC reps were fun, were full of information but were not in your face. Can recommend Popeyes and Manos grill restaurants. Overall great family holiday.

Robert B

I.ve just returned from two weeks at admirals and have to say it was the best holiday in 20 years! The staff are brilliant, jason and steve kept the beer flowing, Anthony, the entertainment guy is excellent and all the cleaners and reception couldn,t do more to help. Forget anythin bad youv'e heard about jmc, the reps were the best we.ve ever experienced, Oscar and Gill were allways there and lots of fun too, and if you want a great night you must go to their cabaret. You'd be mad to go anywhere else. Allready booked to be back in september!! LOVE IT

Jo

Ive just returned from a week in Tsilivi, Ive had a fab time the whole place was fantastic. I stayed in the admirals but also spent alot of time in the other two Hotels Planos and the brand new Planos Bay all were excelent for service and entertainment. I have fallen in love with the place and if I could I'd move out there tommorow. I would recomend it to anyone its the best holiday Ive ever had.Im going back in Aug but will go b4 if possible.

Phil W

anybody been to zante for a second time and since the change to the euro????is it still as cheap or has the change made things more expensive

Bryan J

My family had a wonderful time at Admirals. It is well located in one of the more quiet areas of Tsilivi. The service was excellent from all of the staff and I would certainly go again. I recommend it to any family.

Brian W

Like you Amanda we are travelling to the Admirals may 26 I have been trying for feedback on the kid's club for some time now without much luck. if you have found anything out, could you let me know.we are takeing our 6year old grandaughter with us.my e-mail address is brianatspagrove@ntlworld.com any feedback would be much appreciated enjoy your holiday BRIAN

Denise J

Absolutely brilliant time. The Admirals is lovely. The rooms are big with a double and 2 single beds and kept very clean. We were really pleased with the staff who work there - they all work really really hard. Jason and Steve run the bar and they always have a smile on their faces - no matter what time of day or night! The reception fellas are polite and really helpful too. Anthony is the resident entertainments guy and is a real hoot - we'll miss you Anthony! We loved everything about the Admirals, and Tsilivi. We were a party of 12, Duncan, Dee, Danni, Sean, Mandy & Tim plus 12 children ranging 8-12 years old. good pool, sunbeds washed down every day, salads all washed and Georgina & partner - you make the best Tuna, Special and Greek Salad going! We'll miss you all. Hope to come back next year. bye for now.

Phil

going to admirals tsilivi in june...is it good or bad....is there plenty to do for 2 adults and 2 teenage girls....pleasssssssse help

Kim W

My partner and i have visited this hotel twice once in sept 2000, secondly in july 2001. The primary reason we visited in 2001 was that we only had one weeks holiday, and we were assured by JMC after our first bad experience that the hotel was just having teething problems, unfortunately they never went away, the pools were never cleaned, there were not enough sunbeds, the staff were constantly bickering amongst each other, and were not helpful. the rooms and communal areas were small and in need of repair, the marble stairs which you had to climb if you were above ground level would flood every time their was rain, (not very safe !). The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location, close to the beach and the brilliant Kaliva bar. We have fallen in love with Tsilivi but not the admirals, every time we metioned where we were staying to the natives they would pitifully shake their heads, the layout was prison like, the swimming pool area below being the exercise yard, it is HORRID,please, please, don't go their! (p.s. on reflection don't book with JMC at all, the reps dissapear after they drop you off and give you the welcome meeting when the try and sell you overpriced excursions which you can get for a fraction of the price elsewhere.and if you have a problem they will not want to know, they will just advise you to contact JMC on arrival in UK, in which case whats the point in a rep?)

Nicola C

We went to the Admirals Sept 2001, had the best holiday (it's a good idea to get in with the bar men!!!) Hotel is fantastic with plenty of entertainment, especially pool games with Jason!! Make sure you visit Ozzy's bar, Eutopia and Planet bar for a spot of Karaoke

Bob

For those of you who are visiting the Admirals this summer you'll love. We went Sept 2001 and had the best holiday ever!! The hotel is great with lots of entertainment, especially Jason and his pool games!!!

Amanda R

We are thinking of taking our 8yr old son to Zante in late May. Can anyone confirm whether this would be a good time for a) the mini-kids club & is it JMC or run by the hotel? & b)avoiding excessive noise, that alot of you mention? Thanks

Adele M

I too, like Bob, find peoples perceptions of the Admirals are very mixed. I'm going there Aug02 with my two teenagers, I just want a clean, safe, friendly base from which to enjoy my much awaited holiday. Can someone tell what i can REALLY expect???

Victoria W

We visited the Admirals in September 2001 and after hearing so much bad stuff about it, i was pleasantly surprised!Didn't find it noisy at all, room a bit small and only thing you could cook was supernoodles, but we planned to eat out anyway, and its worth it!It's away from the centre so quiet at bed time. The staff were helpful and friendly, our toilet broke twice but it did get fixed!Don't go expecting a palace, because most accommodation in Greece is basic anyway. If there are more than 2 of you then don't go in a studio. We have booked with JMC 3 years running and have never had a problem with them, but then, nothing has gone wrong yet!Just don't book any JMC boat trips because they are expensive, and unless you enjoy spending 13 hours on a boat, lloking at views that all look the same, you will not like it!

Steve C

can any one help we are going to admirals in sept but need to know the location cayou please help

Kayleigh B

I AM GOING TO ADMIRALS APARTHOTEL..... I LIKE KNOW ABOUT WHAT IS THERE LIKE OR IS GOOD FOR TEENAGER PLAY OUT WHAT SPORT IS THERE ARE?? I AM 15... WILL GOING TO ZANTE ON 6TH OCT 2002 SO IF ANYONE GOING SHOUT ME!! E-MAIL ME BLONDE0BRADS@LYCOS.CO.UK CHEER!!!

Brian W

having just booked to go to the admirals aparthotel on zante in late may02 are there any comments on the childrens facillities any comment would be appreciated

Pete H

ok for a bed, shower and roof - only ever made cups of tea in our room, enough space but there were only two of us - you have to feel really sorry for any family with kids filing the room to capacity espcially if they wanted to self cater properly! could here every cough and snore from next room - fun sussing out who was who later! to sum up a very very basic "hotel" though Jane ( a rep) tries hard with theme nights, bingo etc we asked for a room change on arrival as the sockets were hanging off the wall and the kettle/hairdryer plugs just fell out of them, the manager seemed surprised that we were bothered but did give us an immediate change, enjoyed our holiday very much but spent the minimum of time in the hotel

Ian P

Did not stay there but took a look after hearing comments from someone who did.Chap I met said, ''like staying in a bloody pigeon loft''when you look at the layout inside, the pool area is surrounded on all 4 sides and everyones balcony overlooks everyones balcony-no privacy- reminded me of a prison block layout. Though to be fair, clean and in a nice quiet location close to beach.Sister hotel Tsilivi next door was built to same specification.

Bob

what is this hotel really like there are some very mixed views

Jes F

i loved it! i was so sad to leave the resort the staff there were soo friendly and know how to have fun! it was a brilliant place and i would reccomend it to anyone! i was a bit disappointed with jmc though but thats not important. the hoiday was great. where have all these bad comments come from? they must have been staying at a different resort to me because i dont have one minor little complaint it was brilliant, and i sooo want to go back... i was very sad to leave i had such a good time. believe me it really is a wonerful place. staff such as Lee and Jason really help you enjoy yourself they are all very friendly. its great! and i wish i could stay there for ever it was soo much fun! Jes

Natalie G

i came back from tsilivi admirals yesterday i loved every minute of the 2 weeks i was there. the room was a good size, its was lovely n clean, the nite times entertain ment was great thanx to lee jason antonio nick n all the staff. i didnt wanna come home i want to go back a.s.a.p i am taking all my mates next yr as i went this yr with my mum dad and sister. I CANT BELIVE ALL THESE BAD COMMENTS ON IT. the staff have a great laugh with u they pools are big n good there are always sun lounges the food is great nite activites are great i am actually so sad that i had to leave i so wanna live in the admirals by the way i am a 15 yr old female if you want to know the admirals from my point of view which is the truth e-mail me at realshady26@yahoo.com byee love Natt

Lukewarm H

Tsilivi was a brilliant place to go i just wish we had picked somewhere else to stay, we will not be going back to the admiral nor will we be booking with JMC ever again, did not think much to the reps. Noise of a night by the swimming pools teenage girls swimming in the pool 3/4 o'clock in the morning make alot of noise, rooms are very small no way can you cook in these studio apartments. Try out Pauls taverna for a great evening meal just across the road to the right of admiral or walk past the jupiter and find the Red Lion brilliant end to a night out, they will keep serving if you keep drinking say hi to Ilmi the waiter.

Sarah B

just returned from a two week stay at the admirals, and had a fantastic time! Accomodation was small, but acceptable. Cleaners visited daily, and kept the room throughly clean. all staff were brilliant, especially jason, who entertained children and adults alike. This is a very family orientated complex, from young children to young adults. can get noisy, but steps are taken to control it (especially at night). This is our second visit and we recommend it to any family or older couples who are looking for accomodation close to the beach, away from all noisy bars, but within walking distance if you do want some action! Good restaurants are The Premier and The Gate of Asia. Great bars include Planet Pub and Reportage. For up to date movies and a very friendly service, the Kailva bar just round the corner from the admirals is our favourite, where becky and yannis make you very welcome!

Ian D

Ok Ok so Admirals isn't perfect, but it was basic, clean and ok for a base to explore great resort. If you want sunbeds by the pool get up early and lay down your towel, but we preferred the nearby Bouka Beach - 2000 dr for 2 sunbeds + parasol, quiet, good snorkelling, some sandy bits. Worried re JMC beforehand but all went ok , Dan the Man ace rep. Anyone need to know more please email me. ian_dolben@Lineone.net cheers. (PS we're going back next year to Tsilivi, stayling in smaller apartments (nothoing against Admirals -they were ok but we thing there are better places)

Lukewarm H

Exactly Webmaster. I specifically asked at time of payment if i would have to pay a supplement, which I do every year, and they said no,because I would be there the 14 nights. Not only did I pay for a night that I wasn't there, but I paid for a night that i was told I didn't have to. I'm happy to pay a supplement no problem, but as I have already stated, I don't like to be lied to,and I don't enjoy being ripped off paying for something that I haven't had.

Webmaster

Its normal to be charged to keep the room on for an early morning departure. £16 is a reasonable price to pay if you consider that someone may have to clean the room in the middle of the night to make it ready for another guest arriving early the next morning. It's one of the problems of arriving on a night flight and really should be made clear at the time of booking.

Luke W

just remembered! Watch out for the room supplement scam, especially if your on an early morning flight. They will turf you out at midday, 15 hours before you are due to leave, and charge you £16if you want to keep the room, IRRESPECTIVEof whether you have been told by JMCthat you are booked in for the night. The reps will not help you (remember the imbecile?). They will give you a complaint form to send to JMC after the holiday. Fat lot of good that is! I saw a few of those going in over the week. If anyone from JMC reads this (i know they will), be ashamed.

Luke W

Returned 4 hours ago! Rooms like shoe boxes. Self catering. That is a joke.Worst apartments I have been to in Greece, and I have been many times. Very noisy! Towels on beds every morning and not a German in sight. Management unfriendly (by Greek standards). The rep I spoke to on the first day was an imbecile. JMC trips VERY expensive. I got them for a THIRD of the price with Dionysus. Tsilivi I enjoyed very much, had a great time and made many friends. Do visit, but avoid the Admirals like the plague. It's sister the Alexander is supposed to be far superior. Bye.

Bald M

The Simpsons family had a great time in zante thanks to Jason our ace JMC rep.We stayed inroom F-105 of the Admirals hotel and enjoyed the Greek night,Fakirs show and the pool party. Thanks again to Jason for making a dream holiday come true.

Simon P

oops last comment should have been a can you help! No one as ever accused me of being too bright!!

Simon P

We booked here for October 2002 (had no real choice if I wanted to attend my sister's wedding). Feedback seems very mixed. More importantly, what is the weather and sea temperature going to be like? We have family and friends booked into about 4 different hotels so if this is poor then we only need to use it as a bed!

Jon D

Went to this Hotel in October 2000 and booked with JMC. Wished we hadn't. Good standard of cleanliness but that's about the only good thing we can say about it. Whilst we were there a fight broke out in the pool area between the maintainance man and the chef resulting in glasses being thrown around the pool area with guests ahving to dive into the pool to retrieve bits of glass. Pool was never drained and checked. Both people kept their jobs? On our last night there was a commotion on the floor above our room with furniture being smashed and shouting and swearing - we rang reception to complain and were amazed to find that they had given out our room number to friends of the pair who were fighting! - could have caused a few problems to say the least. Found out that the reception was being run all night by a teenage boy who had been drinking with the friends in the bar. AVOID THIS HOLE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Peter-get your deposit back and book into the Contessina or Mavrikos (both very good)

Janet B

Just back, had a great time, apartments a bit on the small side, but in good location, near beach and two good swimming pools. The staff were great, especially Stan and Lee. Had some really good nights in hotel, but avoid JMC Greek night (not hotels) the woman dancer was embarassingly bad. The hotels greek night was good with a Fakir which really amused the kids. Met lovely people and hope to keep in touch with them. We will return one day

Michael G

refering to message on 12th july from annie regarding admirals aparthotel we are a group of 6 adults and five kids aged between 4 and 12 will that be suited to our age group ? What do you regard as noisy? If anyone else has been and found this problem would appreciate a email. kind regards michael. email address is mikeliz@mgibson90.fsnet.co.uk thanks

Anni

Just returned from a week staying here. We had the 2 roomed apartments as have 2 teenagers. Not bad size and cleaned each day. Very hot at night as kids room only had tiny window (like a cell!) and we hired a fan which helped. The Admirals is at the quieter end of resort near Bouka beach. There are quite a few eating/drinking places nearby but the centre is a good 20 mins walk along busy road. There are horse drawn carriages available to take you up & down (at a price!!) nice for a treat. The Kaliva Bar behind hotel was good for movies and some live entertainment. Two Brothers down towards centre very friendly, good cocktails, Manos Grill best food we had & went 3 times. We did not stay at hotel in the day or evening preferring to explore & eat out at tavernas, so cannot comment on the "in house" entertainment. Hotel was definatly noisy, lots of younger kiddies and although music turned down about 12.30 sound carried everywhere, walls so thin we could hear neighbours having a pee!!!! We would not stay in Admirals again, tho would return to Tsilvi & pick somewhere smaller. Anni

Kevin W

A GREAT TIME ! FOR A FAMILY .2 MINS FROMBEACH ,PLENTY OF RESTARANTS AND WATER HOLES FRIENDLY PEOPLE.APTS FAIRLY NEW AND CLEAN STAFF EXCELLENT JMC REPS ARE VERY NICE BUT THERE HANDS ARE TIED WHEN IT COMES TO MOST PROBLEMS ,SO DONT TAKE ANY NONSENSE,AND MAKE SURE ANY TRIPS ARE EXPLAINED IE TRAVEL TIMES EG LENGTH OF JOURNEY NOT GOOD ROADS OR BUS DRIVERS IF YOU GET SICKNESS (KIDS) HIRE A CAR OR SCOOTER AND YOUR HAVE A GREAT TIME.YOU CANT GET LOST BECAUSE THE ISLAND ISNT THAT BIG SO YOUR NEVER FAR AWAY ,HAD A CAR FOR 2 WKS AND USED IT .THERE ARE PLACES ON THE ISLAND THAT CAME FROM THE BOUNTY AD ON TELLY !AND THE SEA IS WARM AND CLEAR . WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY LOOKIN FORWARD TO NEXT VIST .BUT WILL STAY IN SMALLER ACCOMADATION

Chris G

We've just got back form a week here in May. Clean and bright Studio apartment Comments about noise thru' walls true. Close to Bouka beach..about 10mins walk to main resort centre. We too had to pay extra for our room on last day, but it was worth it. Read more at: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/chris.gawley/zante.htm

Janette M

Looks like these apartments are going to be busy in July. We are going then and also have a one bedroom apartment. We are also going with JMC. We were at Tsilivi 2 years ago and stayed at the Mavrikos Apartments and had a great time.

Anni

Charlie, we too are going here early July, so if you are going later we can give you update on our return. Wish we hadn't booked with JMC coz no-one has a good word to say about them!

Charlie B

Does anyone know what the 1 bdrm apartments are like at the Admiral Aparthotel? We will be visiting in July and would appreciate your comments on the hotel and facilities (at least we know that the laundry is a nice walk away)!!! charlie

Adrian G

Conveniently located for the beach. Rooms were very clean. On the down side the pool is small and the layout of the hotel along with thin walled rooms made it very noisy when guests returned in the early hours. The worst bit was JMC. We went for a seven night break. We arrived and checked in at about 8am on the Monday morning. Apparantly in "JMC world" this counted as our first night! Hence we were expected to check out at mid-day on the following Sunday, when we were being picked up by JMC at the Hotel for our return flight at 4am on Monday morning (16 hours later!). We were offered, and grudgingly accepted, another room from mid-day to 3am for an extra (roughly) £16. So watch out for this scam if you have an early arrival at a hotel with JMC (Just More Cash).

Michael G

hi thanks for the info re laundrette, we take it that you have visited this resort and apartments is it really as bad as the reports? We have two kids and just want a family holiday would be greatful if you could let us know a bit about what it was like. thanks

Rimmer

Michael - There is a launderette in resort about 15-20 mins walk away, but i dont know if there are any closer, or if the hotel has one. Contact your tour company who should be able to find out the info by contacting the resort office.

Michael G

we are visiting the admirals in tsilivi in sept and just wanted to know if there were any laundrette facilities in or around these aparthotel.thanks

Rimmer

Lived and worked in Zakynthos for 10 years. Admirals in Tsilivi is near the Caravel and Alexander hotels about 3 mins walk to the beach. Planos area is the north side of Tsilivi and is a little quieter most areas, but still within easy reach of all resort facilities. The aparthotel was new last year and had a few teething problems, which weren't helped by the service from JMC! It does however look great, and all the work should be finished for the summer. It is a sister hotel to the Admirals in Argassi which is an excellent place, so it should be great!
